Our tour ended up being private with Keisy. He answered all our questions, was very welcoming and patient. The structure of the tour was great to avoid large crowds and was very accessible. My favorite parts were trying the rum cakes and hanging out with the sloths/monkeys. Our tour guide was amazing and went above and beyond to give us a good experience. For instance he helped us get our hands on some Belize authentic baleadas and allowed us to take photos/shop at a gift store. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see different parts of Belize and get out the commercialized port.

One of our best excursions!

Joswe was an amazing guide- informative, helpful and flexible with our large group. He guided us through and knew how to navigate the crowds well to keep things moving. We packed a lot into this 1/2 day activity: animals, seeing the countryside, chocolate and rum tasting and some shopping. The group loved the sloth and monkey interactions. Thx for a great time, Joswe! We highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful tour to see animals

We really enjoyed this excursion in Roatan. It was a rainy day so this was a great tour in bad weather. We beat the big busses at every stop so that made the chocolate and rum stops so much more enjoyable. And the time at the animal sanctuary was very special. Once again we beat the big groups so we were able to enjoy an up close experience to see sloths and their babies. Also we enjoyed the time there with monkeys, toucans and macaws. Dahlia was a great driver and tour guide, highly recommend.

Monkeys and Sloths and Chocolate, oh my!

We had a fantastic time despite a very rainy start to the day. The interactions at the conservation center were very enjoyable. The rum cake was probably the best I ever tasted and the chocolate was also very good, though the venue was pretty crowded.

Great family excursion with an amazing tour guide

This was the perfect excursion for a family day in Roatan. Our tour guide, Stanley, was exceptional - friendly, humorous, knowledgeable and flexible. We loved the wildlife experience at Eden Mayan where we got to hold sloths, feed monkeys and toucans, and see the beautiful butterflies. After the wildlife stop, Stan took us to a look-out point for photo op's, followed by a visit to a chocolate tasting. We then went to taste some rum and rum cakes. On the way back to the cruise terminal, Stan took us for another photo op in front of the Roatan sign. All in all it was a perfect day, and we would highly recommend this excursion, and even better if you can get Stanley as your guide!

Sloth Adventure

Unforgettable experience since we were able to hold a sloth and see one up close. Our tour guide gave us local information and brought us to a local restaurant at our request. Until this day we still remember the Jamaican jerk chicken!

Amazing experience with...

Amazing experience with this tour company - Y2K. They have a private car for four of us with an excellent guide and driver Edward. The animal sanctuary experience was wonderful with a private guide - Edward He even took us for guided Snorkling by boat on special request and extra payment, Overall highly recommend this touring company.

Super fun excursion

This was an excellent tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the animal sanctuary tour. The chocolate and rum places were very crowded. Our tour guide, Stanley, was fantastic, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Worth it

Personalized tour. Our guide Danny was responsive and helpful taking us around. The chocolate and rum factories are glorified stores. But still nice. The sloth and monkey place is immersive. Worth the money.

Another GREAT tour with 2k’s!

This is our second time visiting Roatan and booking an excursion with the amazing 2K‘s. My mom and I visited two years ago and had such a great experience, we decided to book the same tour with more family and friends this time. Joshua did an amazing job teaching us about the island and sharing its history. We visited a different chocolate factory and a different sanctuary from 2022, but still a fantastic tour. I can’t recommend them enough. We were visiting through a cruise line and opted to go outside of the cruise for the excursion and it is well worth it. The only difference being you have to walk out the exit, but they are always right outside with a sign and were able to accommodate some of our family members with mobility issues by driving up to the gate and picking them up.

Definitely recommend! Nice tour of entire island, monkeys and sloths were great fun. Driver was informative and friendly. Nothing was rushed, plenty of time to do what we were there to do.

Awesome guide!!

Pleasantly surprised to have a personal driver. We were taken to all our tour stops as well as a few local areas where she was a great photographer and very knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely recommend this excursion.

So much fun!

The excursion was so fun, my fiancé and I had a great time! Our tour guide, Delia, was very knowledgeable about the island of Roatan. We had a pleasant time chatting with her as she took us to several of the best spots to visit. Our first stop was the animal sanctuary, where Delia introduced us to Christian, our tour guide to visit some of the animals. We got to hold monkeys, sloths, and several birds- where we got to take many cool photos with them! Christian did a great job making sure that both us and the animals were comfortable. Delia then took us to a rum tasting, a chocolate tasting, which were both delicious. Thank you, Delia, for an awesome visit!! I’d recommend this tour to anyone.

Memorable Wildlife Experience!

Excellent service and great communication with the operators beforehand. Seeing and interacting with the wildlife was an awesome experience! The guide at the wildlife park was knowledgeable and accomodating. To be honest, the chocolate and rum tastings are technically true, but they take place at chocolate and rum stores. Not an especially interesting experience, but feels more like a play to get us to make purchases.

Best way to tour!

I certainly enjoyed this excursion. I liked that it was just and hubby with a private guide. We took a cab from the port, it was $2 per person and you avoid the uphill walk out the port. Can took us right to our guide that had a sign with 2K adventures. We were able to enjoy a scenic ride around Roatán. Chocolate making tour, markets, highest point that had an amazing view! We got to carry a sloth, hang with the parrots and monkeys! It was certainly fun and memorable. Our guide was adjusting to what we wanted to do or not do. We took as long or as slow as we needed and we got to do it all before heading to port with more than ample time.

Great day in Roatan

Great experience. We had Eduardo and he was awesome! Had our own private tour and could go at our own pace! Definitely worth the price and saved about $30 pp compared to the onboard Cruise price. Glad we ventured out from the cruise port. (We did have to get a taxi out of Cruise Port to an outside meeting area so he could meet us at a covered pavillion but was no problem at all)

Guides are knowledgeable...

Guides are knowledgeable and friendly. lots of interaction with animals. Bruno was our guide in the sanctuary and Joshua our driver who works for viator took us to the different places talking about the island and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Best excursion of the cruise!

Amazing all around

Jaimie was an amazing guide and the tour was great. Would def recommend the sloth, monkey&bird tour. Little disappointed we didn’t get to do the rum tasting but maybe next time.

Incredible tour with extremely knowledgeable and personable tourguide

Arrived in Roatan on an extremely wet day. Finding our guide, Stanley, went quickly and he showed much concern that my wife didn't get injuered in all the wet, slippery areas. Once we were on the van he proceeded to give a running commentary of things of interest about the island. Our first stop was the Roatan Wildlife experience. Once there the young man who guided was well versed in the information he gave us. There were several types of animals from the Whitetail deer to the butterfly house. It was interesting to have the monkeys climb on you to get fed. In the toucan aviary, the toucans landing on us to get fed made for some interesting pictures. Holding a sloth was a different kind of experience. After the wildlife stop Stanley made a slight detour so we could stop at a local craft market to get pictures of the cruise docks and look around at the local crafts. The stop at a local chocolate factory was very tasty with the chocolate bars and some interesting ice cream bars. The rum tasting was excellent. The flavors they had at the Roatan Rum Factory were great and we brought what we thought were the best home. We were returned back to the ship with more interesting information on the island.

All of the close up experiences with the animals were amazing! Truly an experience of a lifetime. The guide was very knowledgeable.

Best Excursion Ever!!

Josue was our tour guide and he was amazing! I was with my wife and two young children and we absolutely loved it. Josue was so knowledgeable about the island and taught us all about the history. He took us to the best animal park that had a beautiful butterfly garden, toucans, macaws, monkeys, sloths and much more! We were able to interact with them all on a one to one interaction without all the big groups. The chocolate factory was awesome and we took home a box of chocolates, so good! He also took us to a beautiful overlook of the ocean with a great view and took photos of our family there as well as by the Roatan sign. We also went and ate at a local restaurant and we had the best stewed conch and fried shrimp! You will love doing this excursion, it is definitely worth it!!

Wonderful animal encounter with 2k tours.

This is one of the most amazing tours we have been on. Josue of 2K tours was one of the best tour guides we have had. He took his time with us, showing us all over beautiful Roatán. The zoo part was incredible, our favorite holding that gentle sloth and monkey, we also loved the chocolate and rum stops.

Best Excursion Ever!

Great tour. Easy meetup with guide. He was nice and polite and knowable. Mayan Eden was the best. Got to hold many different kinds of animals. We also saw the chocolate & rum factories. I'm in my 60's and had no trouble with the walking portion. One of the best excursions I've ever had.

Great Visit to Roatan with 2K's Adventure Tours

We had a great experience with 2K's Adventure Tours! We went to the zoo and saw all of the local wild life. All of the people at the zoo were very friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to hold the sloths and feed the monkeys. The chocolate factory and rum factory were both great! They explain their products and offer tastings. Everything was good. They want you to purchase, but they are not aggressive about it. This was our first time in Roatan and it was wonderful to have a tour guide who was personable and willing to share the history of their beautiful country. Would definitely recommend using this company!

Eduardo is da Man! 😉

Eduardo was personable, knowledgeable and patient. I felt like I was just touring around with a big cousin or uncle. 😉 It was well worth it. The only drawback was not being able to tour the rum company since it was Sunday but we checked out other stuff and I didn’t feel rushed at all. Otherwise, everything was great! 👍🏾

Amazingly fun

Awesome tour guide

We had an amazing time. It is our first time in Roatan, the tour made my day. I am a animal and site lover. The only thing was, could not get to the distillery because it was closed on Sunday.

Nice Visit

While we all enjoyed the experience of holding and viewing the various animals; the adventure was advertised as Handicap Accessible. NOPE! My sister had booked this trip and was unfortunately unable to make the trip. She is in a wheelchair and would not have been able to participate in many of the things this place had to offer to include the path to the restrooms. Just getting out of the van that took us there would be very difficult for those in a wheelchair. So be aware of this limitation.

Our driver was patient with all of us, as there were five of us. They allowed extra time (we didn’t feel rushed) and we had plenty of time to get back to shop.

We had a fabulous day in Roatan. Our guide was Josue and he was wonderful! He was friendly and informative and taught us so much about the beautiful island and its people. We enjoyed the interaction at the Monkey and Sloth zoo. We tasted great chocolate and rum cake. Josue was so attentive and was happy to take us to a lovely beach for when we requested a brief stop so we could cool off in the water and enjoy the amenities at Argentina Beach.

Great experience start to finish

Awesome tour guide. Easy to find. Great experiences with the animals. The rum tasting was very good and do not sleep on it! Great view and pictures. Staff couldn’t be any better.

Sloths, Chocolate, and Rum

The wildlife experience was great with Dennis as the tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. The chocolate tasting was nice. They explained and showed us the process of chocolate making although it was a bit quick. The rum tasting was extremely hot. It was "indoors" and there was no air conditioning. I couldn't even stay in there long enough to taste any rum because I couldn't breathe. Overall, the excursion was fun with the exception of the rum tasting. If there were air conditioning, I would have enjoyed it much more.

Best Shore Excursion!

Very late review, but I had to share how FANTASTIC this tour was. Roatan had been on my list to visit for a few years. This was a cruise stop so we had limited time. Sloths, chocolate and rum tasting fit within our timeframe and gave us an opportunity to see the island. Locating our tour guide was a bit chaotic as you emerge outside of the port gates, but all the tour guides were helpful in directing you to the right group. There seemed to be a large party (about 10) within our tour. Since it was just my husband and I, the tour lead assigned us to a young gal in our own private car. I wish I wrote down our guide's name, because she made the trip exceptional. She lived on the island so we learned a lot about the people and life living there. We stopped at a high point on the island that overlooked the bay and gave you the opportunity to shop. Next stop was Mayan Eden. This was the highlight as I finally got to hold a sloth, have monkeys climb up on my shoulder and learn about how the island cares for the animals. Next stop was the chocolate factory, but on the way, she drove us a "longer" way showing us beautiful beaches and the community she lives in. The chocolate factory is just a store with a candy maker or two in the back you can watch. But I loved that you could sample the different levels of cocoa in the chocolate. I bought a large box to bring back and share with family and friends. The last stop was the rum company for tasting. Yes, in essence a store, but I came back with a lovely spiced rum and rum cake. We stopped at the ROATAN sign for pictures before heading back to the cruise ship. This was by far, the best shore excursion I have done in all of the ports we visited through the years. I highly recommended this tour and will be signing up for another 2K Adventure Tour when we return!

Communication was fantastic with 2K's adventure tours, easy to reach out and organise the location of pick up and timings when we were unsure. Delia was our driver and tour guide, she was lovely, extremely friendly and knowledgable. Nothing was too much bother for her, and she was able to take us somewhere nice for lunch and was on hand for all our photo opportunities. Would recommend it as it was probably our favourite excursion when cruising the Caribbean.

Ernesto Stanley was the best guide ever. He was funny and flexible. We were a group of ten and he was patient and even took us to eat. Definitely recommend it.

A must do

This is a must do. Our tour guide Eder was amazing. He answered all our questions and took us around the entire island. He even offered to take us to lunch and got us local beer from the gas station. Our tour guide at the animal sanctuary was insightful and informative. The rum cake and chocolate tasting was crowded and alright. But all the other parts still made this experience a 5!

A great experience

We had a fantastic driver. She took us to some great shops and didn’t hurry us at all. She was personable and very informative on the culture of the island. I will definitely choose this tour again when I come back.

Loved Rosa!!!

We had a great time! Definitely highlight of our cruise. Rosa was an amazing driver. She mentioned it was mango season and I told her mangos were one of my favorites. After we got back in the car from a stop she surprised me with a bunch of mangos she got from a vendor! The animals and guides at the Monkey and Sloth stop were great. Answered all our questions and took the time to take multiple pics for our whole large group. The chocolate factory is very small but all the samples you could want!! The tum tasting was delicious and had a great view out back. We got to see a lot of the island and Rosa kept us entertained with conversation and information on the drive. Highly recommend if Roatan is a stop for you!

Great tour booked on our own not with cruise!

Our driver/guide was Rex for 2k adventures. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We are a family of 4, including 18 year old and 5 year old and we all had a fun time. We took a taxi after we walked through the port area to find our guide otherwise it is a 7 minute walk after you leave port area, mildly strenuous with a slight steep up the road. Look for driver holding sign for 2k amongst many other tour guide companies. First stop was the monkeys and sloths and many other animals. There is a different guide for this tour. Your other guide will wait until you are done. This was an experience we never had before, holding different animals, so much fun! Worth it to see! Next Rex took us to the chocolate and then the rum tasting. Bring money to buy because that is partly point of the tour. Next we went to take pictures by the big Roatán sign. We asked Rex to take us to a souvenir shop next which was not part of tour. He was very accommodating to what we wanted to do. Remember to tip your guides at the monkey/sloth place and your initial guide/driver. They do deserve it for the great experience! All in all recommend this tour.

Expected more

Our driver was incredible (his name slips my mind). He went way above and beyond to make our trip a success. That being said, the animal sanctuary was very nice, until the tour guide there told us that they limit food to the animals so that they are more active, I understand these are poor islands, but it's hard to support someone that abuses animals. The rum tasting, and chocolate factory “tours” were rip offs. They should not be mentioned in the descriptions.

Sloths are great but beware Viator

I loved this tour but book directly through the company. The tour director was knowledgable, enthusiastic, and great people. The driving in this area is not for the faint of heart. Viator does not honor their best price guarantee. I sent them pictures, the email address with the site that showed the price. They responded within 2 minutes and said their local repesentative said there was not a cheaper price. Book directly through 2k and avoid yourself the hassle. I'm now having to file for deceptive advertising on Viator.

Monkey and sloth tour.

Monkeys and sloths tour was very informative and our guide was very funny and super nice. Being so close to them was awesome. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Disappointed

Disappointed that the tour operators canceled my tour hours before it was scheduled with no explanation. I was really looking forward to it. Honduras doesn’t seem to accommodating for solo travelers.

Excellent, highly recommend! Bring cash. You will buy chocolate and rum cake (it’s what the tour is all about).

We were assigned to Rex. Excellent tour guide. Down to earth, had a normal conversation with us. It felt natural, not rushed. Loved all our stops. He even offered to take us to the beach if we wanted, just needed to pay the beach fee. We decided against, it was the perfect length, not too long. Bring cash to tip your driver, they live primarily off tips. Also tip the guide at the sloth park. That’s a different person and they also live off commission. Also note, it was hard to find, you have to exit the cruise and shopping area all together. The exit sign is small? You walk through bathrooms. We thought they’d be waiting at the first exit but you pass the bathrooms and walk down a long line of people trying to offer a tour. That’s not Y2K’s fault but others should know what to expect when you try to find the operator. You need to ask a few people along the way.

Great excursion and guide

We had an amazing guide. He was knowledgeable and patient with us. He definitely took us to the best animal exhibit. We were completely satisfied with our excursion. Jay was the best!!

Fun, educational and safe

Our tour guide Rex was great! Told us so much history about the island and showed us a great time. The animal tour with sloths and monkeys was definitely the highlight of our time on Roatan. All of us got the opportunity to hold a sloth, monkey, birds, and a boa constrictor! Highly recommend. It was also very private. Rex took my family of 4 in a personal vehicle which I much prefer to the tour buses.

Such a fun experience!

Had a great time with Mama Rosa as our tour guide & driver! I never had an issue with their communication during the booking through the time we met up with Mama Rosa. She was very accommodating and friendly. The tour guide at the animal sanctuary was knowledgeable and funny in his own way. They allowed plenty of time with animals but go early so it’s not crowded.
