This walking tour with Costa as our guide was excellent. It was a super hot day but he kept us in the shade for the stops where he shared some fascinating facts. Costa was entertaining, lively, fun and tells a great story. I highly recommend taking this tour so you can appreciate the history, architecture and get a sense of Rhodes as living city over many centuries.

So much to see and do.

Great shopping, a really nice mix of decent shops. Lots of restaurants, great food. The palace of the grand master of the knights was out of this world, a must see.

Very interesting tour. Lots of interesting stories and historical facts. It's a beautiful town and our guide was very knowledgeable . All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this tour and this company.

The Island of Rhodes a midevil Gem

It is a beautiful fortress sea town. We enjoyed the midevil castles, ruins and Greek Orthodox Churches. Old Town is a mix of old and new. Really magnificent views and I got some great views. Our tour guide had vast knowledge and we learned alot.

Very informative

We booked the walking tour of Rhodes old town for the first day of our trip so we would be able to navigate the city better and get information on all the buildings so we wouldn't just keep wondering what things were. Our guide was an actual archaeologist who had been part of uncovering most of the ancient city so he was literally the best person to speak to and learn from. He was so knowledgeable and interesting, I would recommend this to anyone. We saw the whole city and learned so much!

Fascinating walking tour that brings the Old Town to life

I took the Old Town walking tour along with my 17 year old son. We are both very interested in history and this was exactly what we needed to bring the Old Town alive for us. It really makes a huge difference to walk with a guide who can point out all the interesting features, tell you about the people and the culture. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and more. Thank you for making our visit to Rhodes Old Town memorable. Three hours passed really quickly!

Incredible time touring old town Rhodes.

The old town is amazing. But what really made it incredible was our Roula. She was knowledgeable and passionate. A perfect guide for our small group.

An informative tour with a local

An enjoyable walk around the Old City of Rhodos. Our small group was just myself and my wife and our tour guide , Roula, was friendly, knowledgeable and full of stories about the history, culture, invasions, food and shopping. Her network of colleagues and friends was vast. This provided us with personal insights from a true local. We were certainly better informed by the end.

Nice, informative Tour of the Old Town

The walking tour of Rhodes Old Town was a great experience. My wife and I booked the tour and were the only two with tour guide, Kiki. She was very engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. Walking through the Old Town while hearing its history is a very fun experience. Will do it again! George was also friendly and responsive during the booking. They were very patient with my wife and I, when we were late. Thank you! :)

Excellent tour of Old Rhodes and its Fortress.

We had a wonderful tour with Froula! She was very knowledgeable about the history of Rhodes and the Old City and pleasant to be with. We learned about the different people's who came, influenced and became part of who and what Rhodes is today. A wonderful experience on Rhodes, we were a small group of 3 couples. The tour guide was absolutely wonderful, so knowledgeable and charismatic, exceeded our expectations.

Our guide Roula had so much knowledge of the town and was clearly passionate about the town and Rhodes. She explained everything in great detail. The trip far exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to know more about the town.

Had a very nice time walking and talking with Roula. She had great knowledge of Rhodes and old town and all of the medieval history. Glad we did the tour!

Great tour of a place with so much history

It was me and my friend and it happened we were the only two. Really enjoyed our guide. She had so much knowledge and was so casual about the tour. The pace was relaxed too, perhaps a little slow in some areas. We asked all our questions and learned a lot. The only comment was that we were more interested in the history and ruins and there was about an hours worth of going through restaurants and shopping. They seemed to lead to new historical sites but it took a long time getting there.

A really interesting and informative walking tour of Rhodes town

An excellent tour. Kiriaki (Kiki) was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a great introduction to Rhodes and its history. We were very lucky that there were only two of us on the tour - which meant that we could ask all the questions that we liked. Half Price Tours also arranged a later transfer back to our hotel so that we could spend time exploring after the official tour was finished. All in all - great!

Rhodes Disaster

You should get rid of this company, "HALF PRICE TOURS". They are just awful and I demand you return our $920.00 that we paid you for this "EXCURSION". The Company notified us the day before to NOT be late, but must be on time for 9:30 am. The guide, Rula, was more that 1 hour late, claiming she was doing another tour before ours. She was unprepared for our tour only having 4 maps to hand out to 13 people. We told her that we could not hear her due to the traffic and she told us she forfot her microphone and that she was used to working with groups on only 4 people. Out of 13 people in this group only 2 remained - the only 2 that the guide, Rula, spoke to. The rest of us left the tour because we could not hear her although we had already told her so. Her voice became a boring drone which finally drove us to give up the tour. When the Company asked why I thought the tour was "terrible" they said that maybe I should have let them know that I can't hear - HOW DARE THEY! it wasn't just me that couldn't hear her, that's why we left; so she could talk to the other 2 she spoke with.

Fascinating Tour!

We had an outstanding tour! Our tour guide provided a very comprehensive discussion on the history of Rhodes. Must do for any history buff.

Eye opener to the history of Rhodes

Our guide who has also been a archaeologist had incredible knowledge and gave such detailed history of Rhodes spanning centuries.

Disappointing underwhelming and overpriced tour

Overpriced and poor quality! The guide herself was knowledgeable but had no microphone and was hard to hear. the group was too large for her voice to travel. The tour organiser phoned her several times and asked to accomodate other guests who were late for another tour. We waited therefore much too long near the start and we’re situated between noisy buskers and beggars. Not ideal. Some people left dissatisfied after 3o minutes. The tour has some highlights but these could be seen if self guided. The three cruise ships disgorged passengers who overran the small streets. The feel was sadly one of a tourist bazaar. One tour manager from the company found the group but was totally unreceptive to feedback. A self guided tour would be preferable to this expensive disappointing tour. Our worst experience in Greece!

Disappointing, poor audio, and expensive

Disappointing and over priced tour. It started poorly as instructions as to where to meet we’re not clear and then we had to wait for 30 mins once we were inside the Old Town for two late tour joiners who then decided not to come. Our guide was frequently distracted by phone calls from head office which slowed the tour down and interrupted her guiding. The guide was very knowledgeable but talked too much and stopped in unsuitable places where there was significant noise from buskers and beggars. The tour should have provided earphones and a microphone for the guide as it was very hard to hear her. This is an expensive tour at over €120 pp and we expected better service.

Brilliant historical tour of the medieval town

This 3 hour tour was small and intimate (only 6 people) and covered a LOT about Rhodes including its rich history under the rule of several nations and regimes. Our guide Vroula (apologies if spelt wrong!) was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the ancient town and went at a good pace, ensuring all were able to hear, understand and participate. We came across areas we hadn’t yet encountered and learnt many interesting facts along the way. Towards the end of the tour Vroula gave us some really good recommendations for eating, drinking and shopping and was willing to continue beyond the 3 hours if there was more we wanted to see. Unfortunately we had plans for lunch, otherwise we may well have taken her up on the offer! An excellent value tour with a knowledgeable and passionate guide, well worth the money!

Just book it and be pleasantly surprised!

We were cruise ship passengers in September and while we had an issue getting off the ship, the staff met us at the ship and escorted us to catch up with our group. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide, Roula or the small group of 8.This is our first time in Greece and really didn’t know that this historic town has now become one of my favorites places in Greece. Not for it’s beaches or the really cool Medieval City , but it’s historical roots in the Jewish religion that I never would have discovered thanks to our tour guide Roula. Her knowledge of Rhodes from the time of Colossus to the period when scholars from many religions gathered. There was a Rabbinical University in Rhodes and included a large Jewish population prior to the Nazi invasion. Understanding how moved I was by Roula’s knowledge of She spent her own time with us sitting in this historic synagogue sharing stories of its rich history. I am eternally grateful for sharing right before the Jewish Holidays. Whether you’re Jewish, Greek Orthodox or just curious to spend some time imagining what it must have been like during the Medieval times, Roula or any of the Guides will customize to make you as happy as I am.

Very poor - Overpriced - Waffled on for over an hour at the Mandraki marina.

I can't recommend this. Our guide was too quiet, barely touched upon Old Town, and it became a bit of a farce knowing we could just explore out on our own and do a better job of it [which we did 5 days later]. Not to mention she was fixated on trees and plants - and spent well over an hour in Mandraki marina in one spot to waste down the time. We should have abandoned her long before. This tour is completely overpriced.

Rhodes on Foot

Rhodes on foot - very knowledgeable guide - plenty of breaks for shelter as an exceptionally hot day. Difficult to get all the detail in 3 hrs as Rhodes is steeped in history but a very enjoyable experience with Stavroula.

Great tour with knowledgeable guide

Small group (only 4 of us). Our guide was very knowledgeable and led us to all the important areas. She tailored it to our group stopping for a quick water break or to buy an item. It wasn’t rushed and we learned more and saw more than our free day we spent in the ame area. Recommend highly

Rhodes walking tour

Excellent walking tour yesterday with Roulla from Half Price Tours. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Rhodes and showed us the key areas of the new and old town. We also had a couple of shady sit down spots where she filled us in on Rhodes’ amazing history. We got so much more of walking around with her. Good also to get some restaurant recommendations. Highly recommended

Learned much about Rhodes history

Our guide was an experienced archaeologist that worked on projects in Old Town. He was professional and extremely knowledgeable. He provided time to ask/respond to questions throughout the tour.

Very knowledgable guide, lots of history and local tips

Excellent tour, our guide Roula was very knowlegable about every time period of Rhodes history. On this tour, you will get more information than the average walking tour about the history and the geography of the town and island. Also, it was nice that along the way Roula was pointing out olive trees, bay leave plants, etc which was interesting and towards the end gave us a number of recommendations on restaurants, haggling, food types, shopping tips, etc. Highly recommended

Great half day tour in Rhodes

Excellent tour focused on the medieval town with Roula who was very knowledgeably and friendly. Tour in the morning with swim at the nearby elli beach made for a nice day in Rhodes.

Pleasant introductory tour downtown Rhodes

Great tour downtown Rhodes in small group. It allowed us to walk through old and new Rhodes city centre. Very friendly and knowledgeable local guide. Hotel pickup worked perfectly. It was a well-organised tour that I can only advise as 1st get-to-know of the city and with a reasonable price indeed. Thank you.

Walking tour around Rhodes town

Hi George, we really enjoyed the tour around Rhodes town, the guide was very informative and picked some good sheltered areas to keep cool whilst speaking and understood the children would be getting warm in the heat. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the whole island of Rhodes not just the town. I felt I could have spoken to him all day about all sorts of history around the world. A great experience, thank you. 5 stars.

Excellent tour and guide

Our guide Maria was great, she’s knowledgable about the old city and more widely. She covered all the key points and more. Maria paced the tour so we could cope with the heat and still felt we were getting the most from her knowledge and experience. A fabulous experience all round.

GUIDE GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND!

Walking tour was brilliant and very informative. The tour started later due to members of the guide team having covid19 however the guide went ABOVE AND BEYOND to arrange us some activities for free in the morning. They took us to the Butterfly Village, to taste olives, a vineyard for wine tasting and a honey museum. The guide on the walking tour was very informative with plenty of history and local knowlege about the Old Town. Overall, this was an excellent trip and I highly recommend George’s tours! It gave me a brilliant final day in Rhodes.

Reliable company. great tour

My day trip to Rhodos today could be the most short noticed trip ever organised. Simply 45 minutes before arriving in the harbour from Marmaris, I find online the number of the company, reviews are good so I take a chance and write to the whatsup number provided, after being rejected twice from other agencies. In 4 minutes all is agreed and the day is organised. Arriving at the harbour, a car awaits and takes me to the old town. The walking tour is great, paced and I get to know parts of the old town off the tourist crowds. Then a short trip is organised with Vitali (a great company as a tour guide) to the Acropolis and the Cross hill. Highly recommended...

Rhodes old town

The tour guide, Ange, was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and sensitive to all on the tour answering all questions. Very interesting tour for both Jewish and historical subjects. Highly recommend
