Super Fun experience

Absolutely amazing surf lessons ! Highly recommend. Had zero expectations me or my wife would actually be able to surf (did it mainly for the kids). But all of us were able to start to surf by the end of the lesson. Hard work but so worth it! Danny and his wife were so friendly and accommodating and allowed my wife’s mother to stay in a lounger to observe us and didn’t even charge for that. They provided some fresh fruits which were delicious. We ordered and had lunch in our Loungers and me and my wife got ourselves a beach side massage which was so relaxing. Such a fun activity in Manuel Antonio and these guys are the best ! Highly recommend

Surf lessons for son and his “old” mother

This was hands down an amazing experience and a perfect start to our vacation! My 13 yr old son and I took a surf lesson with two very experienced and caring instructors— Marco and Colet. I felt completely comfortable with them and was even able to surf many waves! Dante and Sebastian took great care of us and we had a relaxing time at the beach after the lesson. I highly recommend this Dante and his team — it was smooth and worth it!

Surf Lessons and Beach Day

Our 3 children did surf lessons. The lessons were excellent and a great experience. We paid to observe the lessons and got chairs and umbrellas to enjoy a beach day also. The beach was very nice. Dante and Rayna run a quality outfitter where customer service and satisfaction matter. Highly recommend!

First Time Surfing- No Problem!

Our kids had never surfed before and after a quick lesson on the sand they were in the water and riding the waves. Dante and the instructors made it so easy. They picked us up from the hotel and had everything ready at the beach.

Amazing individual attention

The surf lessons were amazing. Took our 4 kids (ages 9-14) and each of us got our own instructor who were each so caring and encouraging. They made sure we were all successful surfers in no time! I would 100% recommend this for all ages and abilities!

Great, positive instructors. We all had a blast! Waves were nice and their spot couldn’t be better on the beach. Highly recommend!

Awesome day!

Possibly our favorite day of vacation! The instructors were wonderful, especially with our two young beginners. They were fun and very supportive. The location was awesome and we enjoyed the close by restaurants, bar, and bathrooms. After lessons we were able to stay and hang out on the beach and use their boogie boards. Dante and Sebastian were very attentive, making sure we were well taken care of and even returned the iPhone we left in the van! Thanks a million!!!

Pura vida surfing 🏄

We went for the private surf class. Yeron, Kaleth, Gonzalo, and Milak were our instructors. They made it so fun for my 3 kids and even for 50 year old me! Very patient and friendly and you can see how much they enjoy what they do. The youngest kids are the best learners. Thank you for a wonderful adventure, all of you.

Dante’s Surfing 12-26-24

Dante’s offered our family (kids age 15, 10, 8) a great first surfing experience. Instruction was provided one on one. Instructors spoke English. Instructor Yeron was especially patient and persistent in working with our teenager, who struggled at first but got the hang of it quickly. Smaller kids were helped by instructors who balanced on the tail of the board to make it more stable. Waves were perfect, but I guess there aren’t always waves. One hour in the water was plenty as it is highly physical, more so getting back out to the waves than surfing into the beach.

Surfs’ Up!

This surf company was so so wonderful! We were first timers but everyone made it so comfortable and easy for us! The instructions were so helpful and the teachers guided us all throughout to help us ride the cool- Costa Rican waves! It was so enjoyable and memorable for my family! We even have the best photos to prove it! Thank you so much Dante and Company!

What an amazing time learning to surf at Manuel Antonio beach! It was my first time surfing and the instructors were so clear and professional that led us to feeling like pros on our boards in a fun but safe manner. They also offered complementary water and snacks, and a restaurant is close by for lunch by the beach afterwards. Incredible experience that I can’t recommend enough!

Amazing overall experience

Booked last minute the afternoon before and they were great to deal with over the phone. I was the only person on the beach at 8 am in mid December. Had a great experience from start to finish. 1st time surfing, instructor was amazing and I had a ton of fun.

Surfing lessons are a must!

The whole experience was amazing. It was my husband’s and my first time surfing. We are in our 40s. We were nervous and excited. Our instructors, Sebastian and Jorge, were great! Very informative, and made sure we got up on the board and were safe the whole time. It’s def a workout, but we had a blast! Would def recommend Dante’s to anyone looking to try surfing in Manuel Antonio!

Sebastian is the man! He and his compadre Jorge were amazing! They had us surfing in no time. Definitely recommend this surf lesson experience.

So fun!!

Very professional and amazing service! We were a large group of 19 and they were able to get us in at the last moment. Sabastian was great in coordination and ensured that all our kids had a one on one instructors. The verdict was unanimous from the kids … this was the best thing that they did in the entire vacation.!!!They now have a favorite thing to do on every beach vacation . Thank you Dante and team for making it so safe and enjoyable for the kids and nervous parents alike!!

Dante has a great location on the beach. We had lounge chairs and Umbrellas. Sebastian and the 3 other surfing instructors were great!!! Easy to work with!

The instructors are great and the beach is fantastic. After the class ,.they give you chairs, umbrellas and body boards to hang out in the beach. Very recommended

Family Fun Morning!

I was scared to surf but the instructors are all so nice and explain everything very well! We had chairs to lay on during breaks from surfing and lots of water and pineapple! On the beach there are monkeys that are so cute! This was a perfect morning in Costa Rica!

Learn to surf with Dante’s!!

Our three kids had an incredible time learning to surf with Dante, Sebastian, and the other instructors! Each kid had a 1:1 surf instructor and they all caught some great waves! We all also got time to boogie board after lessons were complete. Beach location is private and beautiful with soft sand, warm water, beach chairs, and umbrellas. Professional photographer for photos. Highly recommend for everyone looking to learn to surf in Manuel Antonio!

Great surf lesson experience

From pick up to drop off, an amazing experience!!! We were a dad and two kids (12. 14yrs). We were made to feel welcome and at ease. After a thorough, but fun safety and technical on shore lesson, we were lead into the water with an instructor each. Even though the waves were pretty big, we felt at ease by the easy going and confident instructors. We spent an hour or so in the water and had the time of our lives, each riding in numerous waves. As we became weary from the enthusiastic instructors, made sure we were getting the most of the lesson. We relaxed in the supplied loungers on sure and were offered freshly cut pineapple. Finally we took the instructors advice and headed out to boogie board, until we couldn’t any more. We were so generously treated, we could have stayed there all afternoon. We would 100% recommend using them for any of your water sports needs, when in the area!! Thank you.

The best surf lesson ever!

Surfing was an absolute blast! The lesson was very informative and the instructors were amazing. We all had a great time and were able to ride a few waves. I would have signed up for another lesson if I had the time and would definitely recommend this surf lesson to anyone visiting Manuel Antonio.

An amazing day

We had a fantastic time! None of us had ever surfed before and we were a bit nervous. By the end, my 13 year-old was loving it and didn’t want to stop and I was proud to have even gotten upright on the board. My 11 year-old didn’t manage to get up on the board but the experience got him way more comfortable in the waves, rendering it a huge step forward. We each got our own one-on-one instructor. The lesson initially lasted an hour. Then during a fruit and water break, when we were asked how we liked it, I said it was wonderful but short. They offered to continue! Once we finished the lesson portion, we were given access to use their surfboards and boogie boards on our own. They were friendly and accommodating and kept an eye on our belongings to keep them safe while we were in the water. All this on a gorgeous, quiet beach. I found it well worth the price.

Great day surfing!

The surf lessons were so much fun! We each had individual teachers which helped our group of complete beginners. Corey was my instructor and he did a great job talking me through it and cheering me on. 10/10 experience!

Finally learned how to surf at age 41!

Wonderful experience for my first (and second) time surfing! We felt very well taken care of by the whole team, from coordinating pick up location to shuttle service and return to the hotel after - everybody treated us well. The instructors were patient and supportive, cheered me on when I did well and encouraging the many times I fell. They always made sure safety comes first and selected the waves that would work best for me. My wife joined as an observer and loved spending time relaxing on the beach. Would recommend to anyone for their first surfing experience!

The waves were perfect! The instructor was patient and informative! I was a surfer by the end of our lesson! 10/10 would recommend getting surf lessons here!

It’s impossible to leave this beach spot!

When in manual Antonio, Costa Rica, you must surf. There are countless choices of surf instructors. Dante’s was a great experience! The prompt hotel pickup, beautiful location and instruction were all top notch. Sebastian was an excellent host and William and Jerome were great instructors- safe, positive and fun! They will set up the non-surfers with lounges and an umbrella and invite you to use it as long as you like. It was impossible to leave! This section of the beach is a bit less crowded than others which is also very inviting. Pineapple and fresh water served after the lessons. You are invited to use boogie boards after or rent a board For a longer session. My 11 year old had a little bit of prior experience, but he surfed countless waves with them healing Dante’s. The Buena Vista restaurant will serve you right in the beach. The guacamole and ceviche were very good and it is certainly convenient. However, it is a bit pricey compared to other local options. Don’t take lessons elsewhere. We watched other surf instructors pushing their clients into waves crowded with swimmers. We watched an instructor elsewhere send a first time surfer directly into a swimmer, injuring both of them. Some other instructors were also using surfboard led without fins. If you want to try surfing, choose Dante’s! It is a good fit regardless of your age!

I had an incredible experience at the surf course at Manuel Antonio Beach with Dante’s water-sports! The pickup service was convenient, making the start of the day stress-free. The education we received was excellent, and the coaches were super supportive and patient, ensuring we all felt confident in the water. The fresh fruits and water provided were a delightful touch, keeping us energized throughout the session. The staff also provided us with rash guards, which was a great added benefit. I highly recommend this surf course for anyone looking to learn or improve their surfing skills in a beautiful location!

The Best Surfing For All Ages

We had the best experience with Dante's Water Sports. We did early AM surf lessons and the beach was quiet and waves perfect for beginners and more advanced alike. All the instructors were kind and their primary goal was that we were having fun and remaining safe. As parents we felt our younger kids (6yo-8yo) were well taken care of. Afterwards we were able to enjoy the beach and borrow their boogie boards. We had no time pressure. The photos taken are incredible and worth it! Thank you Dante sport for this memorable experience and for capturing the moment so well! We all look forward to doing this again some day!!

Learning how to surf in Costa Rica! 🏄🏼‍♀️

I enjoyed my experience very much. My family and I each received individual instructors who taught us how to surf. The waves were quite high, but I had an amazing time learning how to surf and getting to know my instructor. I highly recommend this experience!💕

Great family surf lesson today with 4 amazing instructors, especially Cory! We also did Sea-Kayaking trip yesterday with Kendal. Highly recommend!

Great coaching and loads of fun

We were collected from the hotel and taken to the beach and returned after the lesson. The drivers were very friendly. We had one to one coaching with instructors who were passionate and enthusiastic about surfing. The instructors made the whole experience a great deal of fun and we both caught a lot of waves.

Amazing day surfing

A fantastic introduction to surfing. We did private lessons for our 2 teens and two loungers for the parents. William and Jaden were excellent instructors. The kids were standing up and riding waves 10 minutes into it. The photographer got amazing actions shots. Beach concierge was super attentive - we ordered lunch and drinks right from our beach chairs under the mangrove. After lunch we had a great time using the boogie boards while my son got in another round of surfing. Highly recommend!

Bucket list surfing

Sebastian was my husbands instructor and was super knowledgeable and helpful! I had William as my instructor and was very helpful and supportive on helping me learn and making sure I was safe! Also thank you to Dante for being so welcoming! Highly recommend!

Great learning experience for first timers

First time surfers all got up with lots of guidance and assistance from Dante's team of instructors. We were a family of three, each with our own private teacher - me (a 50 year old mom), my husband (also 50), and our daughter (10). We were picked up from the hotel around 8, surfing by 830, finished by 945 (tired too!) and relaxing under an umbrella with fresh cut pineapple. We stayed at the beach for about 90 minutes more and then the driver took us back to the hotel. I loved the experience and so did my kid, but it wasn't my husband's favorite. He got tossed quite a bit and strained his shoulder. It really isn't easy to surf! Now, I want to take more lessons and so does my kid. So all in all, it was a great experience.

Great day in the water

Great day with Dante and his team. We had only been surfing once before and they got us all standing up on quite large waves. Great instructors providing lots of help in the water thank you ! The beach is lovely and after the surfing we spent lots more time in the water body boarding. Highly recommend

Highly recommend! We surfed!

Highly recommend. We were picked up exactly on time and began our first time surfing. Our coaches, William and Jaden (we think), were very patient and helpful. We received 1 on 1 lessons and assistance out in the ocean. We both managed to surf almost all the back to the beach! We got the sense they would cater the lessons based on each person or group so don’t worry about being bad! Then we had beach chairs, food/drink service, and free boogie boards afterwards for an overall great day.

Excellent surfing experience

My family and I went surfing today with Dante’s water sports. They picked us up from our hotel and took just us directly to their private beach where my children had a surf lesson one on one, each having her own instructor which was quite a nice surprise! The beach is beautiful. The instructors were all super friendly and patient and all of my children were up surfing in no time with big smiles on their faces. Highly recommend!

Family fun surfing

The instructors were so kind & patient. Very happy to help me as a first time surfer, my older son who is intermediate & my younger son who is a beginner. Pura vida!

Top-notch instruction and very friendly!

Very personal and effective surf lessons. Our instructors were excellent and really helped us improve quickly. I’ve surfed a few times and went from beginner to intermediate quite quick. My wife was a total beginner and stood up many times! Dante was very friendly and transportation was included. Booking a morning time was perfect because we got to finish our lesson then continue with our beach day. Ask to hang onto your rash guard after your lesson in case you want to try surfing again later in the day.

As someone who was a little nervous to surf, Dante and his amazing staff helped me learn something new and have a blast doing so! Private instruction with friendly instructors and a beautiful beach, what more could you ask for? Would highly recommend.
