I had an excellent time. Sea Bros arranged a picked to the place and back to my resort. Yazdanny did a great job teaching me the fundamentals of surfing and had great patience. Very friendly and encouraging.

Family surf lessons

Our family of 4 with boys ages 8 and 11, booked surf lessons with Surf Bros on Christmas Eve. We had a fantastic day! We had 3 instructors who took great care to make us feel safe, encouraged and having fun. We’ve taken surf lessons on other vacations and this was the best one we’ve had because of the instructors. Thanks again Surf Bros!

Great team, great experience!

The instructor was super welcoming and friendly and the team helped us feel at ease, with clear instructions to start surfing straight away. They provided us some seats for the day and were brilliant throughout.

Do it!

My husband and I andour 13-year-old daughter all took lessons. We all caught some waves and had a really great time! Instructors were patient and made us feel safe and not rushed. Included in the lesson they also let us use some beach lounge chairs as well as boogie boards. Well worth the price and experience!

Amazing experience taught by true professionals

My daughter and I took surf lessons for the first time. Sea Bros are professional surfers and they know how to teach. We got up the first try and caught over 20 waves. It was an amazing experience. The water was warm in Nov. I was concerned but it was fine.

Surf Lesson

Had a wonderful lesson with Yandez fully recommend booking with the Sea Bros. Although I have surfed before he was able to provide good tips on getting up and helping me with my balance.

Perfect team for for our first time surfing

What an amazing experience. Didn’t think Danny and Kennith would manage to get the two of us (in our 40’s) up on the boards, but they did, time and again. We had 1-2-1 tuition, both were patient, providing guidance before and throughout. We could have a break if we started to feel tired, 1 hour 30 min was plenty, we were tired by the end of it. The juice at the end was very welcome, would recommend to both beginners and those with experience.

Had to change the date and time at the last minute and they were extremely accomodating. Lesson itself was great! Really attentive and supportive instructor. Difficult but fun! Recommend!

Highly recommended

I have booked the surfing lesson for my 21 year old daughter. She had a lot of fun learning how to surf as a beginner. The instructor was extremely passionate about his job and was genuinely supportive and excited every time she succeeded. The instructor has a 10 year experience surfing and really good English so there was no language barrier. My daughter also has previous injuries and he had no problem adjusting the lessons as needed which was amazing to see!

I had an amazing time taking surfing classes in Manuel Antonio! The instructors were incredibly fun, patient, and encouraging. They made sure I felt confident every step of the way, and by the end of the session, I truly felt like a pro riding the waves. Their positive energy and easygoing teaching style made the experience both exciting and stress-free. Whether you're a beginner or just looking to improve your skills, these classes are perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to surfing. I’ll definitely be coming back for another session the next time I'm in Manuel Antonio! Highly recommend!

I’ve never surfed before and thought I wouldn’t be capable of standing on a board ever but I was proven wrong🥹 Yaz was an amazing instructor, you can tell he knows what he’s doing and that he’s very good at it. He makes it seem so easy and is very helpful, recommend!!

Great surf lessons

We had 7 family members take surf lessons from Sea Bros - many of us for the first time - and it was a great experience. We learned a lot, we all stood up successfully, and we had a safe and fun time. The instructors were patient and encouraging, giving high fives for each wave, and meeting our family at their level of expertise. Sea Bros also set up some beach chairs for extended family not surfing, and we were able to rent boogie boards from them as well, resulting in a perfect day at the beach!

A highlight of our trip

Our lesson was one of the best experiences of our trip. We were both beginners with different levels of expertise and our instructors, Kenneth and Andres, were incredibly encouraging, kind, observant and dynamic. As we had a variety of struggles they were patient and encouraging in helping us understand how to improve. I had had surf lessons before and never had an instructor so effective at teaching me, and the vibes could not have been better. We totally recommend sea bros to anyone not sure who to go with to learn to surf. Much love to the guys!

Excellent and enthusiastic 1:1 surfing fun

Wow! What an experience. It’s a 1:1 lesson and the instructors are so enthusiastic and friendly. Two of my children surfed (11 and 13 years). Both were upright and confident on their boards at the end. I got to take videos, photos from a comfortable lounger, under a shade on the shoreline. Definitely recommend these guys.

Great instructors

Signed our kids (18 and 20) up for one hour surfing lessons. Neither had any experience with surfing before. The one hour lesson included an intro to explain how to stand up on the board. Two different instructors then took the kids into the water and they were surfing immediately.

Sea Bros, The Best Surfing Experience Ever!

Wow! What an amazing day my daughter and I had with Yazdany and Kenneth learning how to surf!!!! We had never surfed before but always wanted to learn! Yaz and Kenneth were so wonderful, professional, and patient and by the end of our lesson, we were surfing!!!!! After our lesson we rented chairs from Sea Bros and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon and Yazdany and Kenneth were so accommodating, what a great day!!! It was definitely the highlight of our trip to Manuel Antonio, I would 💯 recommend Sea Bros, and we will definitely be back!!!

Great Teachers

Sea Bros were great teachers! We had 6 kids and 6 adults and everyone got up on the board!! They were so patient and made sure everyone had a great time.

The BEST beach and surf day for our big family group!

I reached out to Sea Bros to set up a beach day for our family group of 18. The 10 kids took surfing lessons and the 8 adults just wanted a beach day with chairs and shade. They communicated back quickly and accommodated us easily. The day we arrived they had a nice canopy with chairs for the adults and instructors ready for each kid. They give them all a briefing on the beach then got out and got all of the kids up right away. The kids had SO much fun and each one of them was successful in riding the waves over and over with their instructors giving them guidance and cheering them on! They worked so well with every age in our group from 7-20. After the lesson they had fresh fruit for the kids and welcomed us to stay as long as we wanted to enjoy the space they had set up for us at the beach. They had also set up the nearby beach restaurant to have food and drink service which was above and beyond! We enjoyed hanging out for a few hours while the kids swam and boogie boarded. They were the nicest guys and I enjoyed hearing how Elliott and his brothers welcome local kids to hang out with them and surf and learn the business to give them opportunities. Also my kids want to shout out to Yaz and Kenneth who were their personal instructors. They have had surfing lessons in Hawaii before this and they enjoyed their lesson with Sea Bros way more. Yaz is a world champion boogie board instructor! When it was time to leave, we were the family in my group without a car, and they were so kind to not only call us a taxi, bit they even paid for it! They truly showed us whet Pura Vida is all about. Will definitely use them again next time!

We did our first surfing lessons as a couple and we had a blast! Good instructors, cheering for you and giving the right instructions to make it work. We both managed to get up and ride a wave to the shore😎💪 A very nice team with some good vibes and a really good first experience with surfing. 🌊 we would go again with Sea Bros if we had another day here at Manuel Antonio.

Find Sea Bros on the beach for a great surf lesson!

We love Sea Bros! Go find them on the beach! My friends rented chairs from them to lounge for the day while I did a surf lesson. Yazdany was my guy - super encouraging, sweet, and fun. Makes you feel safe, gives you tips the whole time, and holds your board and helps you get over waves when you’re tired. I’ve been several times on my own and was unable to stand up, with Yaz, I got up almost every time. Highly recommend! Another special shoutout to Kenneth who seems to run the show and is also super sweet. (They give you a rash guard, but make sure you wear sunscreen on your legs to avoid sunburnt booty cheeks)

No communication. Beware

No communication. Sent multiple messages where it says to contact vendor. Absolutely no response to let me know where the actual lessons take place or if or not they could pick us up from the hotel we are staying at which was not listed on their multiple choice box. Had the hotel attempt to call number provided with no response. I have contacted pay pal hopefully for a refund. I would have cancelled 24 hours beforehand but was hopeful they would surely get back to me. Not sure if it’s terrible on surf bros behalf or their booking service Viator but either way BEWARE.

So fun and chill, do this if you're in town for an afternoon!

Wonderful surfing lesson from experienced instructors

The concierge at our hotel reserved a morning surf lesson with Sea Bros for my two children, aged 10 and 14. We had the pleasure of meeting Kenneth and the incredibly kind team of surf instructors at Sea Bros. My children are at varying ages, abilities, and inclination for adventure yet both had nothing but high praise for their surf experience. Kenneth worked with my younger child who was nervous at the idea of surfing. Kenneth was patient, not pushy. What I appreciated most was how he let my child guide the lesson and made sure she was comfortable, felt safe, and ultimately had a fun time. I did not catch the name of the instructor that worked with my older child; however he was also super kind, knowledgeable, and never ceased to offer praise. Kenneth and the Sea Bros team are the embodiment of ‘Pura Vida’ - welcoming, warm, and a pleasure to spend the morning with. I highly recommend booking a surf lesson with them!

Great experience for novices

My son and I had a great lesson. Our only previous lesson was 4 years ago. This lesson was more enjoyable. The instructors were friendly and the instructions were clear. We road more waves than our previous experience. They positioned us to hit every attempt. The 10 or 15% that we missed were because of our balance or fatigue. We enjoyed the rest of the afternoon on the chairs and umbrella they provided.

This experience was amazing and I would highly recommend to anyone. I am very afraid of the ocean so I wanted to push myself out my comfort zone. The Sea bros made me feel very safe, comfortable and supported while doing this experience! Must do when I visit again!

Perfect for families

Our teachers were fantastic. One teacher stayed with each member of our family. Our kids, aged 10 and 13, both got up on their boards and felt very safe despite the size of the waves. We would highly recommend!

First time surfing

We took our first surfing class and it was amazing! To my surprise we caught a bunch of waves. I didn’t not expect it at the first class. Can’t wait to come back here! Kudos to our instructors Marcos, Macho, Jimmy, and Kenneth!

Wonderful 1:1 Instruction—with Beach Chairs Included!

We had so much fun learning to surf for two days with Kenneth and the whole crew at Sea Bros! In contrast to other surf shops we saw on the beach that seemed to be giving big group lessons, the Sea Bros gave us 1:1 personal instruction, so we learned a lot really fast. The first day, they had us standing on the board within less than half an hour of starting the lesson. By the end of the second day, we were able to catch a wave completely on our own and surf into shore. The bros were so easy and fun to work with and they seemed genuinely excited when we were getting the hang of it. As a bonus, they let us use their beach chairs all day both days (included in the price of the lesson) and gave us a free smoothie at the end. Also, on the second day, their social media manager came by and took some professional photos for my dad! We highly recommend this experience—if we ever came back to Manuel Antonio, we would go straight back to the Sea Bros for more lessons!

Amazing first surfing experience

What an amazing experience! My 12 year old step daughter and I had our first surfing experience with Sea Bros. The instructors were fantastic!! They made us feel very comfortable right away, walking us through all the techniques and safety before heading into the water. My daughter was a little nervous going into the experience and by the end she was standing up on waves all on her own :) They also have a photographer there to capture the best moments (extra charge if you like the photos and want them sent via email) I highly recommend Sea Bros to anyone wanting to try surfing while in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.

Family-friendly surf lessons

Sea Bros were fantastic! My daughters and I signed up for their surf lessons and had a great time. We all got up on the board and surfed all the way in at least 3 times each (my girls had much more success than me, ha!). The instructors we worked with were patient and gave great tips to help us hone our stance. I was surprised how well we all did after our first lesson. Highly recommend them, you’ll have a great time!

A must do in Manuel Antonio

We had the best time ever with the surf brothers! They were super friendly, helpful and safe and professional! We all got to catch waves with their tips and help. With just a few basic steps and personal attention (we had 3 instructors for our family of 4!) we were all able to really surf even if it was the first time we’d ever done it. They knew exactly which waves were good for us and were so enthousiastic they really inspired us.

Surfing in Manuel Antonio

On our recent trip to Costa Rica my 11-year-old son wanted a surf lesson. I was fortunate enough to discover Sea Bros. Yazdanny (who competes internationally) gave him an amazing lesson that was the highlight of the trip! He loved it so much he insisted we book a second two days later. Kenneth was his instructor that day and delivered an equally exciting and technique filled morning. They do a stellar job of building the kids’ confidence and are certified in CPR and lifesaving measures that are reassuring for parents as well. I recommend Sea Bros without reservation for your next trip!

Yazdany was the most AMAZING instructor! I’ve never surfed before (and I’m not the strongest swimmer) so I was a little bit nervous. But Yazdany explained everything so clearly, and guided me the entire way! I had the most incredible time and it’s been the absolute highlight of my 10 day trip. 100% recommend the team!

From my first-ever wave to conquering several more, their clear instructions and in-water support were fantastic. I found Sea Bros on the beach in Manuel Antonio and decided to take a lesson. I was very scared, but Kenneth and Yaz were friendly and reassuring. I had Yaz as my instructor and he was super patient with me as I struggled, and he gave excellent guidance so I was eventually able to get up on the board. I highly recommend taking a lesson from the Sea Bros! You won’t be disappointed!

Awesome instruction

The brothers were awesome with my teenage son and husband. Both of them got up on the board pretty quickly and were able to get several good runs in. They guys were great at explaining the concepts and really encouraging once they were in the water. Definitely recommend getting your lesson with this company!
