Great experience! Luis was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and kind. He had his scope and phone attached so we could see all of the wildlife up close. There’s no way we would’ve seen hardly anything without him. He sent us all of the pictures afterwards as well. We would definitely book again!

Great tour

Saul was a great guide! Amazing how good he is at spotting all of the animals and insects. Must have a guide when going through Manuel Antonio and this one is highly recommend.

MOP is very experienced. He not only showed us where the animals were but also took nice pictures and videos and sent them to me later. The guided tour is highly recommend.

Josh was an absolutely amazing guide. So knowledgeable and friendly. He had so many fun facts and we saw sloths, monkeys, snakes, birds and cool insects. We had an amazing experience and loved his positive energy. Pura vida!!

Wonderful wildlife exploration!

During the guided tour, we saw a lot of animals including 3 sloths, monkeys, frogs, butterflies, crabs, humming birds and much more. Our tour guide Joshua was very knowledgeable and informative!

Really didn’t need a...

Really didn’t need a guide for this. Definitely could have done the trails on your own with binoculars. Just follow a group.

Amazing tour!

We had a great tour of Manuel Antonio with Luis- he was knowledgeable, professional and engaging. We saw tons of wildlife which he captured with his professional camera and shared with us. Would recommend!

Excellent tour

As all individual tickets to Manuel Antonio National Park were sold out, we had to go the route of a guided tour in order to visit the park. Saul was an excellent tour guide - we learned a lot and would recommend. The tour is not at all rushed and once in the park you can stay as long as you like, the beaches are beautiful.

Great guide. Highly recommend this tour group. I would not have seen half the wildlife without the guide. Tip: wear your bathing suit and bring a towel on the tour so that you hang out at the park beaches after the tour. Also, the earlier tour you book, the more butterflies you will see.

Fantastic wildlife experience

We had Mop as our guide and couldn't have wished for someone more experienced and interesting. Without his knowledge and his super lens we would never have seen 99% of the wildlife we did. Beautiful park and such a once in a lifetime opportunity!

The tour guide was very...

The tour guide was very good at spotting the animals from a far distance. His explanations for the animals were in depth but still easy to understand. He was able to take fantastic pictures through the spotting scope even though we were unable to.

impeccable service and must-do

It was a faultless service including great communication from their team. Our guide was Mop who was so knowledgeable and passionate about the rainforest - he showed us examples from every level of the ecosystem including plants, insects, birds, lizards, monkeys and sloths. It was such a great morning and we finished with a swim at the beautiful beach. Would highly recommend.

Beach was beautiful

The tour guide, Mop, was great. He worked hard to find animals for us to see. I would recommend doing a night tour, when the animals are more active. And there is another national park you should go to if you want to see crocodiles or jaguars, because neither is at Manuel Antonio State Park. The beach was gorgeous, make sure to bring a bathing suit to swim if you are driving all the way to this state park.

Wonderful tour-Saul is an awesome guide

Saul was a wonderful tour guide. He was engaging and made sure we saw plenty of animals on the tour. He also gave us info on tree and plant life.

Excellent choice!

Despite a very rainy Christmas morning, MOP greeted us for our tour with a big smile and great enthusiasm! Not 50 feet into the park, we saw our first interesting animal. The ensuing two hours were spent marveling at the creatures MOP miraculously spotted and showed on his scope amidst the heavy vegetation. He found 3 different sloths, which totally made our trip to CR! MOP is knowledgeable, friendly, and upbeat. The Edwin’s tour company was easy to deal with and 100% professional. Excellent choice!

Manuel Antonio National Park is a top must-do when visiting Costa Rica! I would recommend hiring a guide to show you all the amazing wildlife that makes this park home and bring your bathing suit so you can swim their beautiful white sand beaches!

Great tour

Saul was an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable and had a great eye. We went around 11am which can be busy/tough to see animals and we were able to see many different sloths, monkeys, birds, lizards, insects, and plants that we would have missed by ourselves!

Great wildlife tour

Excellent private wildlife tour with Saul. He was great at spotting animals, showing us interesting details with his scope, and was very on knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend getting a guide as you won’t see very much wildlife on your own, and the upgrade to a private guide was minimal in cost and very much worth it. Would certainly recommend this company!

Five star experience

I am so glad we booked a tour with this company. Our guide, Luis, was friendly and very knowledgeable about all of the different flora and fauna. He spotted so many animals that we never would have found on our own. Book it! You will not regret it.

Awesome Experience!

This is a privately guided tour of the Manuel Antonio National Park. We viewed a large variety of animals throughout the roughly 2-hour, slow-moving tour. We saw a lot of sloths, aguitis, a coati, both white-faced and howler monkeys, snakes, spiders, etc. Wtih 25 years of experience, Mop was an amazing guide! He went where other guides did not to find as many animals as possible. The actual distance traveled during the tour wasn't very far, but it brings you to a beautiful ocean beach where you can swim and take in the scenery. We took another route back to the entry gate where there were a bunch of monkeys creating mischeif. We really enjoyed taking our time taking in all of the beauty of the rainforest!

This company does it the right way. Connecting with our guide, and parking our car was super easy. Our guide was Mop, and he was absolutely awesome! So knowledgeable and friendly; we had some good laughs and learned a lot. It’s easy to tell that Mop genuinely cares about and loves what he does, and wanted to do everything he could to make our tour an amazing one. Seriously, before our tour even really started we were engrossed in a conversation about a caterpillar I had taken a picture of that morning, and he was so eager to have me send him the pic so he could forward it along to his friend, who is a butterfly expert and within a few minutes he responded with an identification of what species we had seen. Immediately it was clear that this guy knows his stuff, and is passionate about the wildlife and educating others about it. We saw so many amazing things (howler monkeys, Capuchins, two-toed sloth, caiman, lizards, leaf-cutter ants, butterflies, bats, and my personal favorite, a toucan!) that we would have missed without an experienced guide. It’s straight up crazy how good they are at spotting wildlife, with an eye for fantastic photographs. Mop seemed like he could see the forest in way that only comes with decades of experience. Every time he setup his scope for us to see something, he snapped a great pic through the lens. At the end of the tour, he airdropped me a couple dozen pics that were so much better than what I had on either of my cameras. My wife and I will never forget our day at Manuel Antonio, and will always remember Mop for making sure it was exactly what we were looking for. If you are wondering which company to go with for your tour at Manuel Antonio, you can’t go wrong with these guys. They are legit!

AMAZING!

Roy was the best guide! My boyfriend booked a private tour and was amazed at the things he would spot to show us. He was extremely knowledgeable and fun and you could tell he really cared about the forest. Would highly recommend booking a tour with this group!

Fantastic Tour with Mop

Our guide, Mop, was fantastic at spotting wildlife and so knowledgeable about the plants and animals in the park. He took closeup photos of all the animals and sent them to us at the end of the tour. We would never have seen the animals on our own,especially the sloths. It was a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend Mop as a guide.

Amazing guide

Of all the tours I went on this was by far the best because of our guide Luis. (loo-eese). He spotted EVERYTHING (sloths, monkeys, birds, lizards, spiders, other insects) and had incredible knowledge about each of these and more. He was enthusiastic and authentic. Excellent.

Fabulous experience!

Fantastic experience! Highly recommend paying for the private guide. Saul was wonderful - very knowledgeable of the flora and fauna and skilled with the sighting lens. Absolutely suggest doing this - we saw much more than the bigger groups bc we could take turns faster. Go early in the day to beat the heat and see the most animals!

This was great. Instructions were clear that we were able to park & enter Manuel Antonio Park quickly and easily. Saul was our guide, and he was so informative and great to go into the park with. We saw about 8 sloths, many monkeys, various crabs, and interesting things such as frog eggs and insects up close. Saul was an expert with the telescope, so we were able to see so many things up close and take great pictures/videos of them. He answered all of our questions and gave us some tips on navigating the park. I am SO GLAD we booked this, you see so many more things and learn so much more than you would on your own. Highly recommended!

Extraordinary Experience

Edwin took high quality excellent photos of the animals for us. He was knowledgable and informative about all of the animals. He knew the best locations to spot the animals. He was friendly and a pleasure to hike with.

Great value and a must

I wouldn’t of seen 80% of the things that I saw on my tour. I’m not the type of person who would get a guided tour generally this was a first but I highly recommend this company; mainly our guide Saul. Very informative and he made this experience great.

We did the nature tour with Mop and it was super Amazing! He was so great with spotting things. I’m sure he does it everyday hence he knows where to look at but the guy was very knowledgeable. Glad we took a tour! Thank you!

Knowledgable, considerate, perfect for all ages

Amazing experience!

Our tour guide Saul was great! He was very knowledgeable and showed us many things we never would have seen on our own. We were able to get pictures of sloths, monkeys, iguanas, snakes, an ant eater, deer, colorful insects and birds. The entire experience was unique. If you are wondering about booking a guide don’t hesitate. Ask for Saul.

Walk tour - experience Manuel António Park wilderness

This was a great experience. Walking through the Manuel António Park with our guide, SAUL GUZMN, whom was very knowledgeable and pointed out the most diverse wildlife. We saw moths, spiders, a variety of insects and crabs, monos, a sloth (they were shy on this day!), various and amazing reptiles. All the information needed was provided on time and very efficiently. We stayed at the beach, had good snacks and did the recently built Punta Cathedral path (which I strongly recommend).

Must do tour to see the park!

My husband and I had the best time walking through Manuel Antonio National Park! Our guide was Mop and he was so knowledgeable and has eyes like a hawk! He was pointing out animals and lizards and birds that we would have never seen without him and his telescope. I highly recommend going with a guide, and to choose this tour and hope you get Mop! We saw a lot of people walking through on their own which works as the park is so peaceful and beautiful, but we wouldn’t have seen anything if we had done it on our own. Also, I would recommend going as early as possible - we did 7am start time. WORTH IT because there are less people in the park at that time. As the day goes on lots more people and groups come in and it can feel crowded with everyone stopping and looking for animals. The same goes for the beach. I had really wanted to see a sloth and Mop made sure we found one - he even trekked back with us to see if there was more activity in the trees to see some. I highly recommend this tour and our guide!! It made our experience so much better. And definitely go swimming at the beach after - worth it!

Amazing first time experience, I highly recommend MOP as your guide!!

Our tour guide MOP was amazing. Using a spotting scope, he was able to show us & tell us so much about the Antonio Manuel national park, from plants, bugs, trees, to animals. We got to see one of the most poisonous snakes, she was beautiful. We were able to see 3 types of monkeys, 1 clan was playing & fighting in trees. A female Croc floating in the river. Beautiful rare birds that are normally hard to find. Bats that mate for life but our favorite were the sloths. We were able to record them moving around, they have GREAT hearing. They really look like stuffed animals, always with a smile. The tour ends at a gorgeous beach, so wear your swimwear & take your towels, flip flops & water shoes. There are showers available for rinsing off before you leave the park Chalo the parking attendant kept our car safe & was able to recommend a great place for dinner. Ronny’s Restaurant is a little off the main street but worth it !! Delicious food & drinks reasonably priced. Customer service A+ and gorgeous views of the ocean.

Mop es maravilloso

Mop was an incredible guide with a wealth of knowledge on all the local flora and fauna. You would think the animals are communicating with him directly the way he spots them from afar. We saw monkeys, sloths, lizards, birds, crocodiles, and more. I would absolutely recommend this tour!

Great tour!

We had a fabulous tour with Mop! We had some hiccups getting to the tour (construction, late shuttle, etc.) and Mop went out of his way to accommodate us. He spotted tiny and big animals alike incredibly quickly and took amazing photographs for us, including catching a monkey mid-flight. We saw monkeys, sloths, birds, a snake, an agouti, and a variety of lizards and bugs. Mop gave us extensive interpretive information and was protective of the wildlife, discouraging other visitors from harassing a sloth. At the end he oriented us toward other trails in the area. We learned so much! Mop was a great guide and wonderful steward of Manuel Antonio - thanks for an awesome tour!

I booked a private tour, Karen was our guide. She was incredible! She took her time showing us so much wildlife and sharing her knowledge about the rainforest. We had coffee and a snack at the cafe together and then finished the tour at the beach. The highlight was seeing sloths of course! And the beaches are absolutely gorgeous! I highly recommend a private tour!

Excellent

Super knowledgeable. Found everything. Other guides were asking ours for advice. With some other guides (on other tours), it felt that the guide was reading from a script. In contrast, Saul had deep knowledge on everything we saw.

Stunning and informative
