Great Mangrove Tour

Saw lots of wildlife - birds, monkeys, iguanas, Cayman. Kenneth was a great guide. Would recommend and was a relaxing way to see wildlife.

Mangrove Tour

Our tour with Kenneth was great! He is very knowledgeable. He spotted many species of birds, lizards, iguanas, and vegetation. The food after the tour was local and delicious.

Great excursion!

We went on the boat tour and Kenneth was amazing! Very friendly and knowledgeable of all the animals and wildlife. Luckily got to see monkeys and even one with a baby on its back! Kenneth had a great eye for spotting wildlife from far away and took great care of the group. Definitely would recommend!

Great tour guides, animal-viewing, and food!

Great experience! We saw lots of monkeys, birds, and a caiman! Tour guide Kenneth and boat driver Nicho were great and very knowledgeable. Lunch after was very good as well.

Amazing boat tour !

Great tour with Kenneth, who was a great guide ! We saw monkeys, caiman, Macaw, racoons and a lot of different birds ! Kenneth is there to answer all the questions and knows a lot about the fauna and flora. Definitely something to do :)

Mangrove tour

Guillermo was our guide and he was terrific! As was our captain 👨‍✈️ he could really manoeuvre the boat well! They spotted many species of birds, lizards, iguanas and vegetation.

Real life jungle cruise

Guillermo was an excellent tour guide! He was very knowledgeable. It was like the legit jungle cruise for Disney enthusiasts ;)

Good overview of the mangroves' importance to the eco system. Saw many capuchin monkeys. Easy navigation in the boat.

The trip and the guide was nice. The guide was good to spot the animals and she have a good knowledge about the animals. The food was also great.

The tour guides were very knowledgeable and were able to spot animals in the mangrove jungle that the common and I would never see.

Stephanie was our guide and she was very funny and nice. Stephanie knew a lot about the different animals we saw and made the trip fun.

A truly special tour!

The mangrove boat tour is an excellent way to see a truly special ecosystem. We saw lots of wildlife and our guide Anderson was great - he was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and made the whole experience a really positive one. Drifting through the mangroves is also really relaxing, especially on a hot day!

Great tour on the way to Uvita!

Stefanie was great! We saw a number of different animals, even in the rain, before being taken to a small local cafe for lunch afterwards. Was great to learn a little more about the mangroves!

Fantastic tour!

The guides were very helpful, and switched between English and Spanish seamlessly because our group was mixed ES/ENG speakers. We saw monkeys, lizards, snakes, birds, and bats on our 8 am ride. The boat was comfortable and well-built!

Rodolfo was a great guide. He explained well what we were seeing. We encountered many types of birds, iguanas, crabs, and monkeys.

A great tour somewhat ruined by other companies

It was a good tour with nice weather. Our guide ( ELIAS JIMENEZ) was very informative about the mangrove forest and the animals that live in it. The experience got a bit ruined by other companies guides that were shouting and screaming to get the monkeys to show up, they were also feeding the monkeys, throwed water on a capuchin female with her babie and shaked the tree branch when they didnt do as the guide wanted. Awful behaviour and also illegal. Hope the guides that do this rotten in the mangrove river. Either way. Elias was fantastic and i would only recommend him if u want a respectful guide. Good things Will come your way.

Elias was a wonderful guide! Explained everything we were seeing and spotted so many amazing things. Very cool to see the mangroves and the wildlife. Tasty lunch afterwards. We are grateful this tour follows guidelines of not feeding or disturbing the wildlife and is very trustworthy!

Excellent experience

Derek was a friendly and knowledgable guide. We saw plenty of wildlife in the mangroves, including crocodiles, heron and cappuccino face monkeys.

Underwhelming for the price

We went on a boat tour with Kenneth . He was super helpful and very very knowledgeable. He also helped us with tips about animals, birds and how to spot and recognize them . We saw a couple of birds , monkeys , a small snake , baby crocodiles and also a Jesus lizard (it walked on water right in front of us !!) . The reason I am giving the lower rating was because I feel the price of 70$ is not worth the experience , especially considering what we payed for other activities in Costa Rica . The lunch was also at a below average place .

Excellent tour, organized, great Guide

Excellent all-around. Online purchase, hotel pick-up & drop-off (nice vehicle), Guide, boat driver, transport, Lunch were all very good . Saw various birds, baby crocodiles, bats, monkeys, crabs, fish, sloths, iguanas, hawks, herons. Our Guide, Derek, was the best: multilingual Derek pointed out lots of wildlife and thoroughly explained loads of useful info along the way. RECOMMEND!

Wonderful way to relax and see the wildlife of Manuel Antonio, but beware of families with small children!

The tour itself was wonderful! The mangroves and the forest were beautiful. We saw so many different birds. About 20 unique types including some more rare birds like Kingfishers and Tiger Herons. There were so many monkeys! Managed to see a sloth as well. Our guide Henderson was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable, especially with the birds. If you are a border, this is a great boat tour! The only downside was the family in our group with very small children, including a toddler. It's a multi-hour boat ride in hot and humid conditions, which is not suitable for small children. The children made it clear that they were tired of the entire thing about halfway through :'(

Great family boat tour

We had a great time. Henderson was a great guide. We saw monkeys, a sloth, lizards, turtle, and tons of birds. Great for families.

Alonzo was our guide. He was awesome. Very nice and helpful. Showed us many cool animals. Good restaurant too. Ery knowledgeable about animals, plants and history.

Great way to spend an afternoon!

Stefanie was fabulous, pointing out a number of animals on our trip around the mangroves. We even saw a few monkeys in the trees! I’d really recommend if you have an afternoon near Quepos.

Best experience

It was one of the best experience during our vacation. Our tourguide Guillermo was very entertaining and very well prepared and also very kind. We saw lots of birds, monkey families, snakes, crabs, a tiny crocodile and the mangrove forest was amazing.

The tour was incredible!!! Absolutely amazing experience with our fully expert and informative tourguide Giulliermo. We saw a lot of animals, like jesus christ basiliscus, wizards, cappuchine monkeys, scarlet macaws, a baby croc, and more. Thank you soo much for this trip! Absolutely the best experience on our two weeks honeymoon.

Great experience in the mangroves

I had a great time experiencing the mangroves today. Byron was great guide and he had a deep knowledge of all the animals including the trees/plants. He was able to answer everyone’s questions. We learned a lot and we saw a lot of unique animals. We also got to see monkeys and they even came on the boat with us so we got very close to them. Overall a great experience, would highly recommend.

Fun afternoon tour

Very nice little ride. Boat was little scary and I thought it could be little longer but we did see some animals which was very cool.

The Best Wild Life Tour Ever!!!!!

Hands down the best tour we had seeing wild life. Our Tour Guide Byron was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We saw monkeys who were friendly enough to jump on the boat and pose for us, big Macaw 🦜, many calorific birds, lizards and luckily no crocodiles 🐊 the boat is very comfortable and pleasant as they go at low speed and you can really embrace the sounds of nature and see everything up close. 💯 recommend!

Our family had such a wonderful time on the Mangrove boat tour lead by excellent tour guide, Stephanie… She was so accommodating and helpful to our group with special needs of all ages. Stephanie guide us with Captain Augusto driving the boat, her knowledge and communication was stellar in this adventurous river exploration of the natural wildlife in their habitat… Discovering rare animals and plants. Peaceful beautiful boat tour along mangrove waterways teeming with wildlife.

This Mangrove Tour taken by guide Enderson was excellent. The mangroves are a peaceful, beautiful ecology system teeming with wildlife. Enderson was enthusiastic, friendly and engaging. He explained everything and emphasised we should just ask if we had a question. The boat itself was comfortable. Water and a good quality traditional brunch were provided. Recommend this trip and this guide.

It was s great trip.

It was a great tour. Kenneth made sure thst we saw lots of birds, lizards, monkeys and other animals. They were all so helpful~~ from the driver, to Kenneth, (the guide), to the navigator..

A great adventure for a family. All ages can enjoy. Friendly guides,easy parking. Good value. Would do this again.

Interesting to see the mangrove, as it was my first time seeing this environment.

Our guide ( Elliot?) was fantastically knowledgable about the animals living in the Mangrove. swamps. Spotted a small snake nestled in the roots of a tree that I would never have seen on my own. Saw a sloth high above in the canopy, numerous birds and Capuchin Monkeys.

Our guide Anderson was fantastic. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I'm a photographer and got to see and take shots of tons of wildlife from tiger herons, spider monkeys, including a massive troupe that jumped on and off the boats and played around, caymans, and more. Highly recommend.
