Amazing!! Guide was friendly, funny, extremely patient and very informative. Really looked as though he loved the history and showing kids and adults all things dinosaurs and fossils! My family had an amazing time and recommend this to all our family! Thank you thank you 🙏🏼

Don’t miss the Night Tour - interesting & informative

I loved the Night tour. A great way to view the town, and have a very informative, interesting and fun night. It was raining lightly for most of the tour, I did bring an umbrella but we were able to duck under awnings for most of it so the rain wasn’t a bother. I definitely recommend this for any one of all ages no matter the weather.

Meh, average night...

Was an average night. It was interesting to learn the history of my city but honestly was expecting a more spooky experience considering it was halloween and an "18+" event. It had the potential but fell way short of expectations. The host made the whole experience funny instead of even slightly scary. I laughed more than anything as he had the gift of the gab and as very comical. I wouldnt class any of the stories as 18+, they were PG rated at best. Went with a few of the girls and we all agreed it could of been so much better. My tip for future halloween events, is to make it less funny and more spooky. After all who goes to something like that on halloween and expects anything less? 4 out of 10stars, I personally wouldn't go again.

Recommended History and Mystery night walking tour

👻 🔪 🛶 🐊 A great stroll through the CBD last night with Time Safaris Walking Tours- Rockhampton on the Ghost, Murder and Jack the Ripper Night Walk. Interesting, engaging and informative. Being locals, we’ve heard a lot of history about Rocky in the past but almost all these stories were new to us! I’m keen to do more of the walks offered with this guide, Phil Hore, author, historian and worldly museum educator. 💥 RECOMMENDED 💥

Best activity in Rockhampton

I went on the night tour and guide Phil was so knowledgeable and engaging. The night tour isn't scary, however, due to the content of the stories, I would recommend it for teenagers and older if considering a family outing. I highly recommend visitors and locals to go on one of Phil's tours to see a different side to Rocky.

My Dinosaur mad daughter 5yrs loved this Safari tour about the fossils and history on them! Holding them and learning about them, interesting things to learn about for all ages

Rocky ghost and Jack the Ripper tour

The Rockhampton Ghost and Jack the Ripper night tour was excellent. Phil is a great story teller and made the whole experience a lot of fun. Phil's historical knowledge of old Rockhampton is spot on.

A must do in Rockhampton.

We did Jack the Ripper night. Great tour. It’s also combined with some historical events. Host has a vast knowledge of Rockhampton. Well done.

A must if you live in Rockhampton or surrounds!

Well presented and very informative - if you live in Rockhampton you should definitely do this walking tour. It's interesting and presented really well.

Ghost and murder tour

Interesting historical info, with a bit of humour and grossness chucked in. Keep in mind we did the adults only one. Loved the walkabout around town. Found out stuff about my hometown I never knew.

Intriguing plant facts at Rockhampton Gardens

Phil’s Botanic Gardens Tour at Rockhampton was amazing. This Local Rockie girl of 72 years learnt so many interesting new facts in beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended.

May 2023 We accompanied Phil for the morning tour and have immensely enjoyed our experience. Phil did an excellent job. It was a way to spend a Saturday in Rockhampton city.

Amazing!

Did the Saturday morning tour - really enjoyable. Anyone who lives in Rockhampton or nearby should do these tours. Really interesting and unusual snippits of local history. Phil has obviously spent a lot of time digging into the archives - he certainly has a talent for finding unusual facts which adds to the ambience of the tour.

Rocky History

We accompanied Phil and 18 others on the evening tour and it was great. Phil spoke clearly and all of the historical stories and tales were fascinating and very entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it. It cost $15pp and I enjoyed a point of Guinness at the bar before the tour.

Rockhampton Sightseeing

What a great tour “Jack the ripper” night tour most enjoyable a must do when in Rockhampton. The knowledge Phil provides and the insight history is excellent with his own personality made it so much fun. Thank you and was lovely meeting you Phil Cheers Andrew & William

Tours we take our visiting friends and family to experience on their stay. Have now been multiple times and always enjoy. Phil is entertaining and makes history fun!!

Great, spooky and entertaining time - who knew Rockhampton had so much history

Now that was fun. I took the night tour and it was everything promised. The guide Phil revealed the dark side of Rockhampton, with murders and history and there were even a few ghost stories and I was surprised to learn about the river monster. I cannot recommended it enough and I even bought one of his books at the end - a WW1 murder mystery called Golgotha that I am half way through and having a serious fun time reading Will book a day tour soon...so watch this space for a review.

A great way to get to know the city

I had the pleasure of taking a walking tour on Saturday when the River Festival was in full flight. Phil made the whole experience not only educational but also entertaining. I would thoroughly recommend - I am a newcomer in town and valued all the info we were given .

We have done both the day and the night tour now. We loved both. So many interstate stories. We will return again sometime as Phil is always getting new information.

What an amazing day we had, Phil was so full of amazing stories and enlightened us on the history of Rockhampton. We live here and he told us things we had never heard, we loved every minute of the tour.
