Great Keppel Island fun

The trip itself was uneventful and what was expected. The glass bottom boat was excellent with the guy running it very informative and quite humorous. A great day out.

Have done glass bottom boats before but this one had plenty to see stingrays, turtle, fish and great coral reef. Lovely.

Great day out for those with limited time to experience Southern Barrier Reef

Very enjoyable, low-key way to take a peek at Southern Barrier Reef & Great Keppel Island in one day. Being time-limited, we booked this to have our first look at the reef and having lunch included saves the hassle and expense of trying to buy or carry lunch. Very well organised, right from on-line booking to arrival, check-in etc; Instructions all very clear. Departed right on time from Rosslyn Bay, a great cat ride out to GKI, snack bar on board, be sure to take some motion sickness tablets (beforehand) if affected, as high speed cats do ride in a peculiar manner if a swell is present. Great, friendly crew, transfers to GKI to Glass-Bottom viewing boat, back to Freedom Explorer for lunch, then a commentary cruise around GKI before back to beach for some free time to look around GKI. Lady on glass bottom viewing boat was very good, plenty of knowledge and answered everyone's questions, all with a genuine & relaxed nature. Whole day was effortless & relaxed.

Snorkelling and glass bottom boat experience

The views were amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful and helped put my husband and myself minds at ease with everything especially the snorkelling. Thank you to Lucas's, Brenda and Jack for a great day

A great day on Great Keppel Island

Many thanks to the wonderful crew of Fast Cats! My daughter and I went for a day to Great Keppel Island and although the weather wasn’t perfect, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip! After hiking to the Look Out we boarded the glass bottom boat and sailed over the coral reef! The skipper answered all the questions of the passengers about the health of the reef and the recovery process! The return to the Mainland was a lot smoother, my daughter loved being on the upper deck and even saw two stingrays from there ! All in all a great way to spend a holiday! Thanks again and calling out for Jen who provided an outstanding customer service 🫶

Extra-ordinary service all done with a smile, from people who obviously enjoy their work and made it pleasurable for us too. We can not adequately express our thanks to the staff who, in spite of a mix up with departure times ensured we were collected and taken on the tour. The personal service is something that is very rare these days and we really appreciated it! Had a wonderful day with visiting family and it was not too long or tiring for us "oldies". Enjoyed the adequate food supplied, the glass bottom boat (for non swimmers) and would happily recommend this to anyone else.

Fantastic crew making it a day to remember 😃 Fair play to Freedom Fast Cats, there were only a few of us booked on the coral lunch cruise and they still went ahead. Great Keppel is a lovely spot, and if we revisit any time in the future I’d be tempted to stay over for a night or two, such a chilled out and relaxing feel to the place. The glass bottom boat was interesting, not the best weather when we went but you could still see plenty of coral and distinguish between the different types. All in all a great day out and excellent value for money. Credit to all the crew 👍🏆

A great family day

Best glass bottom boat tour yet! Saw the coral thriving and bright, saw heaps of fish, the tour guide was talented and knowledgeable. The ferry across and back was smooth and friendly with a wonderful fun team. The island was beautiful- with clean soft sand and crystal clear water and the food was great too!

Awesome tour and experience

Excellent tour. Staff were amazing and really enjoyed the experience. Got to swim up close to a turtle and stingray. Staff were very professional and conducted the tour very well.

Good Service, not a 100% experience, but pretty nice.

Brenda was informative on the glass bottom boat tour, but it does not really work great if you want pictures of coral. You'll really need to snorkel and have special camera equipment. The views of islands are very nice and everything is relaxing. It's much more for snorkeling and diving than sightseeing.

Fun day on the water

We had a wonderful day on our glass bottom boat tour with excellent morning tea and lunch. The staff were great and looked after us well. The staff are very polite and all have good sense of humour. We would highly recommend this for anyone all ages. We had some elderly people with us and the staff were so good to them and nothing was a problem. Well done staff 😁👏

Great day out

Terrific day at Great Keppel - snorkelling on the coral and fish and turtle spotting in the glass-bottomed boat were fantastic. Plenty of time to wander the beach and enjoy a drink at the island bar. Great service from the friendly crew.

Bloody fantastic

What a great day/tour, we can not rave about our day enough. We did the adventure tour which included the cat ride over and back, glass bottom boat tour over a reef and snorkeling at another reef. On the way back from snorkeling we all got to try the rope net off the back of the boat. The tour came with m/t lunch and a/t which was great especially the BBQ lunch. Can highly recommend the tour and was great value. Thanks to the team on board who could not do enough for you to enjoy your day/experience.

Fab day in Keppel

Fabulous day out at Keppel Island. Weather was a bit iffy to begin with but soon improved and staff were amazing - felt very safe. Glass bottom boat cancelled due to weather but had great day on beach with lovely lunch at bistro. Fabulous day out. Thank you!!

Combo Cruise

Awesome day out. Staff helpful from the time we booked till the time we ended the day. We were blessed with awesome weather. Saw a stingray and a turtle while on glass bottom boat trip. Reef was great - better than some we’ve seen further up north. Snorkeling was enjoyed by all. Great sausage sizzle, plenty for all. Boat had snacks and ice-creams to purchase. Plenty of free time too. A whole day out. Totally recommend this tour.

A fun day out

We did the adventure cruise with Funtastic, boom netting, snorkeling and the glass bottom boat. Morning tea amd lunch included. It was a great fun day out. The crew were funtastic! Fun friendly and professional. Lunch and morning tea were great, fresh salads, options for vegos and plenty of it.

Terrific service and great crew

The whole day was terrific. Loved the glass bottom boat and lunch cruise. Just an extra comment, I left my phone on the island accidently and the crew and Captain went to all manner of trouble to locate it and return it to m on the mainland. Highly impressed with the service.

Great staff and reef viewing

Fantastic friendly staff with great knowledge of the reef. Trip over on the Fast Cat was great and then the glass bottom boat was very good. Plenty to see with clams and turtles. Plenty of fish and coral to see. Due to a bit of cloud the colours were not well seen but when the sun did come out it was great. Recommend to all

A wonderful day

A really lovely fun day out. Beautiful boat. Brenda is a local and marine biologist so very knowledgeable of the area. Nick and Jack along with Brenda really look after you throughout the whole day inc snorkelling, Boomnetting and glass bottom boat. Hubby and I had a great day of beautiful ocean, sand and sun.

Made the best of the conditions

Well they kept me safe in less than idea conditions. Very thankful for their reassurance during the very choppy trip to GKI. Hopefully we can join them again for a much more pleasant trip. Refunded our glass bottom boat portion without hesitation

Beautiful day at Great Keppel Island Coral Lunch Cruise. Spent some good quality swimming time in the stunning waters, a lovely fresh salad lunch, nice trip on the glass bottom boat seeing the underwater world, Mackenzie was a great little tour guide, funny & informative. All the staff are very welcoming, friendly and always smiling. Really enjoyed the Watermelon UDL beverages on a hot day. Thanks for a wonderful day Freedom Fast Cats & listening to our laughter .

Great Day - Great Keppel Island

Had a great day today with the family at Great Keppel Island. Thanks to Freedom Fast Cats for getting us to and from the Island, Covid safe. Spent the morning with Macca on the glass bottom boat - she did a fantastic job. Also a shout out to Jack - 5 stars all the way Jack 😊

Great day out, well worth the money to see the island and coral

We had a lovely day on the Ferry Cat out to Great Keppel Island. Due to a southerly wind blowing the trip out took a bit longer and was quite rough at times, this reduced the amount of time we had on the island which was a shame as we would have liked to explore more than just the front section where we landed. Morning tea and lunch were very good, just the right amount, some dressing for the salad would have been nice. The glass bottom boat trip to see the coral was interesting and the captain had good knowledge about the coral. We really enjoyed the whole day.

Combo cruise

Did the combo cruise crew were excellent nothing was too much trouble Glass bottom boat ride was really interesting explaining all about the reef and types of fish down there then we went snorkeling which was amazing.

Wow what a great day we had, glass bottom boat tour over 3 different reefs, sausage sizzle lunch, the. Snorkeling. Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. This tour was great value for money. Highly recommend this tour

Fun in the sun

It was absolutely fantastic. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for anyone. Glass bottom boat, walks on the beach, snorkelling and if adventurous you could go on the boom net. Bbq lunch served with a smile

All worth it...

We had the best day ever....took the ferry to the island, hopped on the class bottom boat and spent about 3 hrs on the island at Shelving beach.

Island cruise

Fantastic crew, very friendly. Food was fresh and staff catered to dietary requirements. Glass bottom boat tour was excellent. Max was very knowledgeable about the island and the reef. Will definitely go back for another cruise.
