Been wanting to do the tour for a while , didn’t have the time until last weekend . Husband an I found it really interesting Cobie an Amber were great tour guides. Highly recommend .

I was disappointed with my tour and thought there was more information available in the museum . After paying for a tour we were mustered to an area where our belongings were securely locked up and then welcomed to our country . After that I seen nothing but a molasses tank and a few tanks then to a room to tell us how good their rum was . The tour guides were carrying on like it was some comedy festival and I just turned off as it wasn't funny at all

Interesting museum, tour guides need improvement

The museum was awesome and interactive. Enjoyed learning about the history. The shop, beer garden and facilities were really nice too. I did the tour about 20 years ago and I enjoyed it much better previously. This new tour feels very scaled back and not very authentic. The tour guides were a bit cheesy and it felt like a bad comedy routine with bad puns and I felt like we were being spoken to a bit like a child. Overall , I enjoyed it and glad I went but felt like I really did not get a good feel of the place on the tour,

We visited on Mon 20 May 2024. This is THE iconic and must-visit attraction in Bundaberg. The Distillery tour is interesting, educational and historic. Two samples to taste, and lots on offer to buy (some good stuff...). Tour ends in the gift/souvenir shop (we did not buy any). Highly recommended.

Rum distillery visit

An interesting and informative tour on the making of rum and an Australian Icon. The friendliest and funny staff I’ve come across. Tour guide a real hit, giving a funny but informative insight into the distillery. Well worth a visit

Fun and interesting tour with Belle and Jacobi. History, process and whole cycle of ingredients is impressive. Obviously tasting at the end is a ‘highlight’ 😉

Front Desk Woeful

We arrived today for the 11am tour as we bought tickets online and went to the bar to grab a coffee, no coffees since Covid was the response so we got a few neat rums and was told to head around the corner to the tour desk. We arrived in a line of around 6 people at 10.45am and was eventually spoken to by the elderly tour desk woman at around 11.05 (we have no odes why it was so slow) She said “you are late for the 11am tour (along with 2 other adults) and she said “you will have to go on the 12.00 noon tour” We said no, we were here in line at 10.45 and they reluctantly let us go through and someone had to come back to get us. Missed out on around 20 minutes of the tour including the museum without any sorry and a bad attitude…

The rum experience

Interesting but I expected to see the whole operation from molasses to bottling rather than just up to the fermentation stage. The opportunity to sample the rum liqueur products was a plus as I would not normally drink rum in any form

I dislike rum but loved the tour

Was awesome and very informative she was very funny with dad jokes and kept us entertained- really enjoyed it considering I dislike rum I had a great time

Informative and well presented experience

The Distillery Tour was informative and the Museum very well presented. The tour guide knew her stuff and spoke of the history with ease. Her sense of humour was appreciated and added to the experience, would definitely recommend the museum, tour and well stocked all things "Bundy " shop. I was also appreciative to learn about the Distillery's involvement in bringing the community together post floods. As a Tour Guide Jacobi you are the best, loved your intelligent, witty and fun presentation.

Definitely worth a visit

Really interesting and presenters enthusiasm was infectious. The museum was very informative and the tour of the distillery stimulated all the senses. The shop was very well stocked too.Well worth a visit.

Great experience

Did a tour with Bobby experience was amazing! Only down fall wanted to blend our own but only operates fri/sat on web mon/wed/fri and Saturday which left us disappointed as it said booked on website to get there and tour guide stated only Friday and Saturday.

Bundy Good Tour

Geena, our guide, was very engaging and informative. Her sense of humour was appreciated. Probably not for kids but a great insight into Bundy rum and the local cane industry. Well worth the money.

Well worth the visit

The tour provides a decent insight into how the iconic Bundy Rum is made, with a healthy dash of history. I overall enjoyed the experience (even the jokes from the tour guides that didn't quite land). You get to visit the museum, go inside the distillery (though the thoroughness is less than I've experienced elsewhere) and finish with 2 drinks at the bar One of the guides (Coby) said she was in training. Could have fooled me - she was excellent. Louis had a good vibe too

Bundaberg Distillery Tour

Excellent tour - so much to learn and to hear about. Guide was fabulous and really knew her information and the distillery and its history. Loved the taste testing and the notes about each of the products given by the guides/s Had a new guide (sorry cannot remember he name ) but had only been with the company 2 weeks and she was amazing. Loved it all - highly recommended

Pleasant and interesting

The distillery is certainly worth a visit. The is museum is a beautiful environment full of information… luckily. Unfortunately, as it happens often in Australia the guides often speak too fast and with eavy accents, which is understandable on one hand, but on the other with so many international visitors around , it isn’t. And there is a limit with jokes too, it can be weary. The visit to the factory is a quick tour around huge containers, the actual production is not accessible. Top-notch tasting bar and shop, with the possibility of choosing 2 drinks to taste. Definitely a pleasant and interesting experience.

Sydney to Cairns 2023

This was a top rank bucket lister for us as we'd always wanted to visit this place. We decided on the tour and tasting. It's approximately 2hours total tour and each get to taste two samples. $30 each and well worth it. You have to leave all electronic equipment in a locker before doing the tour which is then locked up, this includes anything with batteries including watches. This is because of the amount of raw alchohol on site. It would make a large bang and fire. The tour is very interesting and informative. But of course the best thing about it was the tasting at the end and the large selection in the shop. I like the Bundaberg Black and the wife bought a nice liqueur. We can't get the Black in New Zealand so it was a treat. Well worth a visit even if you are not into Rum

On your must do list!…

For us this was the best distillery tour we have been on. We have done other tours and this was hands down the best. The guides were amazing and kept you interested throughout the tour and had the answer to any questions.

Great tour, even though I’ve known (and sold the brand), I still learnt a lot. Amber and Geena were outstanding hosts. Well worth the price.

Superb tour with the best guide - Bobbi!!!

Absolutely loved the tour. Bobbi was so informative and funny, her puns were hilarious. We took a small child with us and she was extremely accommodating to us and our needs. Best thing at the end was the 2 drinks at the bar, including top shelf liquid gold. A must do in Bundy if you are here for a visit.

Amazing experience

Very brief tour about production of bundaberg rum. We got to taste some different flavours of rum and also visited collection of rums at museum.

Factory Tour

10 am tour Fri March 22 Really good tour. Very comprehensive. Very knowledgeable and entertaining and engaging guides. Guides talked to fast making it hard to catch what they said many times. Amber (trainee) needs to ditch her American accent and find her true Aussie accent for the true Aussie business.

Funny and Informative, Rum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very Interesting, you learn heaps about the local area and RUM. Bobby was awesome, very Funny (despite the odd dad joke) and answered every question. The Tasting at the end is great and the gift shop has something for everyone.

Fantastic place

Staff were so go we had Sandy for our tour do informative We had Kasey for our checkout and help in the shop all the staff were great the tour so great the whole experience was great we spent 2 1/2 hours there

The holy grail for Bundy rum fans

Finally made the pilgrimage here after wanting to for years. Tour led by Sandy who did a great job of guiding us through the factory. Well worth the money and a ‘must’ for any Bundy rum fan.

Bundy Tour

Really enjoyable and informative tour. A few tastings at the end as well. Bit frustrating having to remove watches, phones , wallets and anything loose, but “health and safety rules”. Chan was great telling us all we wanted to know and answering questions.

A convert to Rum

The Distillery and Museum tour was excellent. Very informative and fun. Saw the huge molasses vat and the distilling tanks and learned about the actual process and their range of Rums. Bobbie our guide was passionate, informative, entertaining and obviously totally loved her job and the company. She was an excellent ambassador for Bundy Rum. Best of all was the tastings at the end of the tour. Two standard drinks of my choice were provided either with a mixer or neat.

A wonderful experience!

It was a wonderful experience to see the inner workings of the Bundy Rum distillery. We really appreciated Chan and her friendly, informative knowledge of the history and of the distillery processs, her guidance through the site and excellent hosting skills! Top marks!

The rum distillery tour was amazing, our guide Damo was fantastic tour guide by sharing the knowledge and history of the distillery while having a laugh.

YUM, RUM AND FUN

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Very informative. Damo (Damien) was our guide and stand up comic for the tour. He was very well informed on all aspects of the history of the distillery and making of rum. I had my Mum with me, in a wheelchair, and even if there were a few stairs to see what was happening, it was all catered for. A little window would be opened at ground level or a fire exit door was opened so she saw everything. The girls in the shop were lovely too. Of course the best part is the tasting and they aren't stingy with their serves. We then went to the Old Bundy Tavern for lunch to finish off a wonderful day. Sorry no photos are allowing to be taken on the tour.

Amazing

Informative and funny, our guide Chan had a fabulous sense of humour. Highly recommended (and not just for the drinks at the end). Would not though recommend for younger kids, though.one family at the end thought it was OK to share their drinks with their children!

What a great place to visit, Mack our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny made the experience very enjoyable. Highly recommend and of course the rum tasting at the end was the best!!! Will definitely be back.

Fun to see how Bundys is made

Great tour. Fun tour guide. Great to see all the process works. Two free drinks after tour is wonderful. All the analogue process equipment is a rare sight these days.

Bundy tour at last - thanks Covid!

After waiting 4 years due to Covid and unable to travel from our home in France, our 3 amazing tour guides made the whole experience funny, interesting and informative. We can see why there is a need for the Big Electric Fence! We would highly recommend a tour for anyone looking for a fun-filled couple of hours and tasting some exceptional rum afterwards.

Allow 2 hours!

Great immersive experience and exceptional value for money. Arrive early to look around the museum before your tour. Tour guides are very knowledgeable - especially Gina, whose jokes are corny but enjoyable. A great activity with friends.

Bundy tour 2024

Travelled from Stanthorpe. Awesome tour with Sandy and Louie. Very informative and the ending was just as good as the hilarious tour hubby n I were taken on. Well done

Jess was our tour guide and made the day enjoyable! The tour is a must do and admittedly is not our first time. We are from Brisbane and the 5 hour trip Is never a disappointment! The bar staff know their product and are very friendly and knowledgeable

The Blend Your Own Rum Experience

Undertook The Blend Your Own Rum Experience. I thoroughly recommend this Tour. Chantelle our Guide, along with another lady, were fantastic and thoroughly entertaining. The history of Bundaberg Rum is worth knowing. The satisfaction came with mixing the various blends to make your own Rum under your label. Very satisfying.

A Great Experience

It was all an interesting and Professional experience. The Staff were very professional . The buildings were very well maintained and the safety was very good.

The tour of the rum distillery was fantastic. Informative and funny. The tour guides took their time to explain in detail the process of making rum and threw in some conry jokes to make the presentation a little more upbeat.

Loved visiting the Bundy Bear!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Bundy Rum distillery. The self guided museum was good and our tour conducted by Geena and Bobbi was great. They were friendly and informative and the 'dad jokes' were almost funny :-). We departed after enjoying some lovely samples of the 'golden' liquids and making some purchases to bring home.

For the rum lover!

Our tour guides were Sandy and Ebbs, their knowledge and humour were what made our tour so memorable. The tour ran for an hour and was interesting to walk through a working distillery and the history of the distillery was very informative. At the end of the hour, you receive two proper drinks of your choice of rum variations (these are not just sample sips but properly made drinks, on the rocks or with a mixer). If you're in Bundaberg, do not miss this tour! Pre-booking is a must.

Great day great experience

I learnt alot about the process of making Bundaberg rum today and the staff that poured the samples and the knowledge that they have is great, like what to add to the different rums eg coke, ginger ale or milk is very impressive
