On time pickups, good communication

Pickup at the airport and the hotel was on-time. At the airport the airport Driver had a sign with our name which was helpful since there was a large group of drivers/taxi folks picking up at arrivals. Communication prior pickups confirming times and locations was very good. Tip for folks that speak little/no Spanish on the trip in general…get the google translate app and download the Spanish module for offline use.

Worth the trip!

The snorkeling was amazing, crystal blue waters. You dont have to go very far out to see fish. There was a ton of non venomous jelly fish that you could touch. Worth the long drive for sure. Make sure you try the mamajuana at the cigar factory. It is delicious!

Ismael Transfers was professional, courteous, and on-time for both pickup & drop off. We had no issues with the communication or accommodations . We used them for our RT transfer from/to POP airport & resort. Pickup & drop off details were exactly as directed. Both drivers we had were polite & personable. The transportation van was new, clean, spacious,, and well air conditioned. We will definitely use this company again for any future airport transfers, when vacationing back in DR.

Transportation was great. The driver was outside the airportas promised. He had every right to cancel our Transportation agreement because of the wait. Due to our luggage not arriving and waiting at least 45 minutes to an hour for luggage, the driver was still very pleasent. Reliable safe and affordable!

Highly recommend using this company for any and all transportation needs! My flight ended up being delayed about 3 hours, with the delay i was so worried that my ride would not be there but when i got out of the gate at the airport the driver was there with a tablet that had my name it was a HUGE relief. He was friendly and spoke English so i could even communicate easily! They contacted me the day before departure to ask what time i wanted to be picked up from the hotel and the driver again was there on time and very friendly! Travel while on the island was a major concern for me and they made it seamless! I would use them again and again!

A trip planner’s transportation hack!

The transportation was great! They are much more affordable than regular taxis. They confirmed before our trip, remained in contact and were waiting for us at the airport when we arrived. We booked round trip transportation to and from the airport and hotel and were extremely accommodating when we had several inconveniences with flight delays. I would definitely recommend and would use again!

Happy Solo Female Transfer from Puerto Plata Airport to Cabarete

After all day travel to Puerto Plata, I needed transfer to Cabarete. What a welcome relief to see my driver from Ismael Transfer Tours waiting for me outside of Customs. I felt safe and welcomed during our trip, easily communicating with the driver. Ismael T.T. drivers speak either Spanish/English or Spanish and enough English to serve. As we got underway, I was offered the opportunity to pause at a local supermarket if needed. That was a great touch! Trips with Ismael Transfer Tour can be easily arranged through Whatsapp in advance. I also will be using their service to take occasional trips to explore during my stay. Best Service - Highly Recommend

I checked out other travel operators on TripAdvisor and it appeared that most are just individual drivers which you never know what you are going to get. This is a legit transportation company. Our flight into Puerto Plata was 30 minutes early so I was expecting to have to wait around the airport but thankfully they were tracking our flight and were right on time. As soon as I landed and could connect to wifi, I received a whatsapp message from the owner Ismael letting me know they would be there which gave me immediate peace of mind rather than guessing when I was going to get picked up. The van that picked us up was brand new, clean and Ismael was super friendly. I didn't book a return just in case I wasn't happy but because it was such a great experience I messaged Ismael to book a return trip. We stayed in Cabarete and our experience with taxis for short trips within the Cabarete area was hit or miss, some never even showed up. I absolutely knew I needed to book Ismael for the longer trip back to the airport and he will guarantee show up. And for the price which includes up to 7 people, you can't beat. My friend took a taxi directly at the airport for the same price and it was a random draw. I highly recommend using them!

We scheduled our trip to and from the airport a few weeks ahead of time. When we landed we were relieved to see our driver right at the airport gates as we left the airport and were taken straight to our hotel without problems. Our pick up from the hotel to the airport was as pleasant and easy. Comfortable driving, good AC, right on time. Def recommended. Also, I was able to schedule rides around town via whatsapp very easily and quickly during our trip.

These guys were the best. They were early we booked for 10am the driver was there before 945am. We arrived at 945 and he was already there waiting for the people. It was us and another couple. We picked up 4 other people at another resort. The driver was punctual and informative and told us the next steps for pick up etc. We got to the airport on time and everything went smoothly.
