Don’t waste your time!!!

Don’t do it!! We booked and when we got there it was clear they had no idea we had booked. They asked to take a picture of the ticket to see what was offered and didn’t offer what was described. My friend was excited to kayak, and they didn’t have any! All they have is a small pool on the balcony with a DJ booth. The ticket says 9-3 and they told us it was only 3 hours. The food was ok but the drinks weren’t worth it. All the drinks we had should have left us DRUNK, and were weren’t even tipsy! After on the way back to the buses our guide took some shady phone calls explaining how many people she had and described us and then tried to drop us in the middle of town. We kept telling her that was not where she picked us up at and she kept saying it was and tried to leave. I called the company and told them and they got on the phone and told her to bring us to where she picked us up at. ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION!!! I don’t know who she was talking to or why she tried to drop us in another place, but she tried to drop us around the corner from where we needed to go!! The whole situation was just shady!!!

Awesome place to visit in progresso

I loved the amazing service and the beautiful beach. The food was delicious as well as unlimited margaritas and beer.

Not worth the trip... false advertisement

This is a pretty place but not worth the price we paid. It's advertised as a 5 hour excursion but when you get there, it changes to only 3 hours!! And I do mean 3 hours because they do approach you to tell you your time is up!! The food was good. Beer was limited to only one brand, Del Sol. Mixed frinks were good. Service was very slow. It's also advertised as a private beach but it's not. It's open to anyone. Transportation to get there is another story. They do provide transportation but not from the port. You have to take the Downtown Shuttle from the port and then search, and I do mean search, for your ride to the destination. Ours was parked behind the bus depot on the street. Since the downtown shuttle was a nightmare to get on and after we waited for over an hour in the heat, we decided to rent a minivan to get back to port. This was an eye opening experience.

It’s a scam

After we were at the beach which we did enjoy, we asked about the buffet as it mentioned in the all inclusive but no one knew any thing about buffet and we were directed to the Spacatta beach club right behind us. We went in But there was no Buffett. We were given a menu to order from which we were told we would need to pay for. After exhausting efforts the waiter came and took all of our dinnerware including plates and silverware and glasses. Almost embarrassing experience. We’re we’re brought a 5x7 menu with 3 things to pick from. My ham and chees was fine. Service was not. This experience was a joke. A rip off. Pretty sure this excursion was a scam. Nothing was all inclusive except the beach. And the beach is free to anyone.

Bad experience

Everything isn’t what they said it’s a scam and rip off Chris was on vacation Waiting on a refund because was told it was all inclusive but wasn’t me and family went back to the ship worst excursion and port ever

I wouldn't go back if it was free.

Nothing like the advertisement. We are working at getting our money back. There are so many better small places along the water that are cheaper than $180 USD for two people, even with the "All inclusive". It is not all inclusive as they do not have kayaks and the servers were very rude. I recommend Progreso and the beach, but not Scappatta.

Trash

I want my money back! This place was trash. Looks nothing like the pictures. Guy was supposed to show up to talk to me and didn’t. Transportation didn’t show up. Lady that took us back was rude.

Best beach club!

Gabriel was the best server! Accommodations were amazing. Amazing pool. Food was delicious! We had two smaller children with us and they loved the pool.

Waste of time and money..

Don't waste your money. Their is no beach beyond the loungers ,they were stacking sandbags while we were there to the point that you had to climb over them to get to the water. They bring you a drink in an 8 oz plastic tumbler . The food was not appetizing at all and they allowed constant vendors pestering you while you are trying to enjoy your day.

Terrible experience. The pictures online nothing like the place. We stayed 10 minutes and left. The glass were all dirty.

Spent 20 minutes there and left

Nothing like advertised at all! The place is a trash pit. Not big, pool is cloudy dirty, trash just outside of the rope barricade. There was a lady next to the ropes beating the sh*t out of her dog. Continued hitting it in the head for barking:( Drinks were no good, glasses were filthy. Looking for refund!!!!!!

Nothing Like Advertised

The staff was friendly and tentative; however, the "resort" was nothing as it appeared in the advertisement. We stayed for maybe an hour and left.

It’s not all bad!!!

Important stuff in 2nd paragraph. So I took a cruise in November and I ended up at Silcer Beach Club. The alcohol was like watered down and not cheap stuff that will get you drunk fast but, the type that doesn’t taste like actual liquor but, you gotta drink it to enjoy yourself. The drinks are trash. The food was ok. Not terrible but OK!! It’s all inclusive for a couple of hours. I would highly suggest not buying before you get there!!! My group paid $25 pp, the couple we met paid $60pp and the girls we met the night before paid $80pp. I knew better than to go but, my bff insisted.They have massages get the massage it was like $30 for the hour. If you choose to go...bring your on liquor!!! The staff is wonderful. They take you straight back to the ship. If you see something you want after you dock get it then. This place was safe and I honestly...loved their hustle.

No way

What they did right- they were the first company to sell you a beach day outside the port at a decent price of $41/person. The “inflatables” consisted of one oversized water mat. The food included decent tacos and an empty empanada. 😂 If you order alcohol, I would suggest beer. The beach was small and at first there were not enough chairs. Slowly, after there were more people than chairs, the staff would bring out a few at a time. I’m no fan of dogs and locals with them at the resort was a bit over the top. The locals also selling cheap souvenirs were obnoxious. I must have said no one hundred times to the same men selling sunglasses, purses, and conch shells. Don’t forget the man selling hammocks....no thank you, no thank you, no thank you. To no fault of the club, the actual beach was disgusting. Black seaweed covered the waves which made getting in the water a no-go. I would not recommend this place nor would I go back.

Disappointing

The resort and the beautiful pictures we were shown did not match up at all. The beach was nasty. The water looked like an oil spill had recently occurred. They didn’t have enough chairs to accommodate guests on the beach. The area is tiny. We were told there would be inflatables. There was one tiny lily pad mattress. The same people came up time and time again begging for us to buy things. It was definitely false advertising. You could see the shock across people’s faces as they saw the beach area the first time. Everyone was anxiously awaiting the return of the bus so we could get out of there. It is a very poor area. There is nothing beautiful about it. We were so very disappointed to have wasted 200.00 for this.

Nice day at the beach!

They cater to a younger group of locals and foreigners and the service is eager to please. The food choices are excellent and their ceviche was outstanding. The music is loud and a bit obtrusive for me, but they do cater mostly to people in their 20s. I would avoid like the plague when the booze cruise passengers are in town.

Mérida City Tour w/ Alex

Had a really great time, and learned a lot! Our tour guide, Alex, was very attentive, friendly, and engaging. He also made sure everyone kept together and wouldn't get lost. Beautiful city!

Great Time!

Great Time! Everyone was very friendly. It was all inclusive, the only extra I paid for was the locker and it was only I think $2. There was a buffet, drinks, sodas, they even made some vergin frozen drinks for my kids so they could have a "smoothy" with me. 😊 There are bathrooms on site and they are nice. There are also some small swimming pools near the tables and buffet so you can keep an eye on the kids while you are eating. The beach was great, my kids found so seashells and played in the water, built sand castles and buried each other in the sand. It was a great time. When we were done they took us right back to our ship. There were some locals selling souvenirs along the beach but none of them were pushy about it. All in all it was a great day!

Staff was awesome, food and drink options were limited, in time will be a great venue still had great fun with staff and made new friends

Repeat visit to Silcer Beach

This was our third time to Silcer Beach. Always a great time. Good service, food, and drinks. Only complaint would be that the drinks need to be cold not cool and the email sent with how to meet the guides is incorrect. Still had a great tome.

Costs a little too much for experience

We were excited to go to a all inclusive in Progreso, we picked this one last minute without really investigating other places to go. The beach area was so small, they had a family on a float thing that was a 1/8th of the size of the area they have roped off. Their pool was the size of a backyard pool. The food and drinks were okay, definitely did not eat or drink enough for the cost. The wait staff was friendly and quick. I would go to another all inclusive in hopes of more beach and or pool to relax in.

Salt Life Shell Life!

I had a wonderful time! It was not too expensive and you have the option to walk the local area and get some really good shopping in or you can stay on the beach excursion and fill yourself with adult beverages, food and swimming in blue waters! Yes there are solicitors but it was not overwhelming. I still had a great time as long as the drinks kept coming, and they did! I will be back.

Good Time

We had a great time. We booked off the ship at the bus stand on the pier. $41 for each adult. Our guide Carlos did a wonderful job making sure we were all taken care of. There were fourteen adults and five children in our group. Every single person had a great time. The drinks were a little watered down but you add a shot of tequila and that made it better. They also provided bottled water. The food on the buffet was tasty and the burgers were hot off the grill with grilled corn on the cob. There were also several vendors that frequent the area but they were not intrusive. The locals have to make a living and my guess is tourism is their main source of income. We had the same situation in Cozumel. It’s just a way of life. After asking once or twice, the vendors just made themselves available. The beach was clean, the sand was white, the water was just the right temperature. The best part of this beach club were the service and the restrooms! The wait staff was friendly and very attentive. The women’s restroom was beautiful and immaculately clean. There was also two very large clean showers in the women’s restroom that provided a great opportunity to get clean and refreshed before heading back to the ship. My suggestion would be to purchase a pass off the ship to save yourself about $30-$40 per person.

Not good

Music too loud. Drinks watered down. Beach to small. Solicitors hounding you. Food ok. Pool good for kids. One kayak had hole in it. People friendly.

Average at best

We got off the cruise and wanted to sit at a beach and relax and drink margaritas. It cost 44 dollars a person. Says all inclusive but as far as food you had 5 choices: chicken nachos, chicken quesadillas, pizza, hamburger, or hot dog. Any other food was extra. Chips and salsa were tasty. Margaritas and other mixed drinks were very watered down and had little to no alcohol. The beer was Corona and it came in a cup. In a bottle it was extra. Any other beer; bud light or michelob ultra was $4 a bottle. They have signs up that say no soliciting but every 2 min you were harrassed by someone selling sea shells (constantly blowing in them), pictures with an iguana, tshirts, bracelets among other items. The music was so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you. The best thing about it was the water was nice and warm. Last time I was there we just walked to the end of the road to a public beach and had a much better time. Was very private and spent all day eating and drinking with 6 of us and spent around $80.

Loved it!

Had the greatest time here. Excellent authentic food, beautiful view, wonderful staff. It was literally a once in a lifetime memory!

Excellent price and service.

My wife and I stopped here through our Carnival cruise on our honeymoon. We could not have picked a better spot to spend our day at port. All drinks and food were included. We kayaked, listened to the live DJ, Spent time on a private beach with plenty of seating and shade or in the sun. Absolutely loved this place and the next time we book a cruise that stops in Progreso we are definitely going here again.

Family trip

We came with our 8 year old boys and the boys loved the beach. The service was outstanding and the food was good. Our guide was with us the whole day and made sure we made it back to the ship in plenty of time.....I highly recommend this excursion.

Enjoyed

We had fun at the beach. There were only a few water ride items, but it works out anyway Staff was very attentive.

Great day, EXCELLENT SERVICE!!

We were vacationing on Carnival Cruise line. This was my second time going to Progresso and decided to book an excursion through someone other than Carnival. We did the Silcer Beach Club all inclusive day. From the start, it was very easy to find and the check in process was very easy. I recommend bringing exact cash if possible as well as some extra for the beach. After a short taxi ride we arrived and from that point on the excellent service kicked in! If you are looking to go relax on a beach this is it! No it's not the biggest, it's not an action packed excursion but it's a relaxing beach day. Our server, Miguel, was as good as it gets. Our drinks never ran dry and he was right there waiting when we got hungry. We were the first one's to arrive, by the time we left it was getting pretty busy but Miguel's level of service never changed!! Miguel made the day for our group of 10 people, we would go back just to experience that level of service again. Thank you Miguel!!

Beach time in Mexico

Had a great time on the beach the food was excellent coronas where cold and the tequila was sweet . The staff are friendly and eager to accommodate. Did I mention it was all you can eat and drink they mean it drank way to much had a blast. thank yall so much.
