Shared Departure Transfer: Prague Hotel to Prague Airport

we arrived at the airport i received a text to say he was going to be 5 minutes late, the whole experience of him arriving was excellent, he was funny and full of the knowledge of the area i would use this transfers ago so much cheaper than taxi.s

The collection service from the airport to our accommodation was ok but problems arose on the return. I had to chase several times to get confirmation that we had been booked in because the phone was constantly engaged. I was then told we would be collected between 3.30 and 3.45pm. We were waiting outside our apartment from 3.20pm. By 4pm I called the office to ask where the driver was and was told he had rang the apartment bell but we had not answered. This was completely untrue because we had checked out of our apartment at 11am and were waiting on the street right outside the main door of the apartment building. We had to find a private taxi and make our own way to the airport which was very stressful. We have not even received a refund!

The pick up from the airport was excellent however the return was not as plain sailing. Where as the pick up from the hotel was on time and all seemed to be going smoothly when I got to the airport the driver asked me for money. I questioned this and was informed that the cost of the return had not been met and that I was responsible. I assured him that I had paid and refused to pay again. He contacted his office, they confirmed his version of the story. I was advised to pay and take the matter up TripAdvisor. Again I refused. After a good half hour of discussion they confirmed that I was good to go and that they would investigate further. Apart from this hiccup everything was excellent, the free walking tour of Prague was great and the guide really new his stuff.

Avoid this transfer option in Prague like the plague!

While there are many ways to get to and from the Prague airport, Prague Airport Transfers appears to be among the worst. We paid in advance for round trip transfers. They refused to schedule our hotel pick-up/airport return because they LOST OUR RESERVATION even after sending a confirmation to the booking agency. Their customer service was nonexistent. We had to book a new reservation through another company (Quick Transfer - which was excellent). No water on trip from airport, as promised.

Unreliable

Booked for 10.30am, At 10.45am I tried telephoning but constantly engaged. I got the concierge at my hotel (the Corinthia) to telephone. He said he often got this problem and had another number that was more likely to get through. He said the driver was delayed at airport but another driver was only five minutes away. It's now 10.55am. Driver arrives at 11.07 and tells me "the other driver is just (swearword) lazy!". The service was unreliable and unprofessional.

<p>I requested a driver to pick up 4 of us from Hotel Pod Vezi in Prague. He arrived early but was not very friendly which is fine. we stopped to pick up another couple on the way. He drove a van like he was in a grand prix race, stopping and starting very roughly and accelerating like a mad man. My wife got car sick from his erratic driving! I did not catch his name but I do want Viator to read this and take the appropriate actions with our driver. He should not be working as a van driver but would fit right in driving a New York taxi !!</p>

Prompt and easy transfer from hotel to airport

This really was a hassle-free service. The driver was in the hotel lobby at 5:00am as promised and had already picked up the other two passengers, so we headed straight to the airport. Made it there in good time with safe driving. The driver helped to load and unload my luggage and was courteous. I would recommend this service,

Flawless transfer. The driver was very friendly. We made a couple of stops on our way to pick up other passengers. They too were friendly. I'd definitely use them again!!

A bad experience

I booked the transfer to and from the airport so I will review them both here. The driver that met me at the airport arrived an hour after my plane arrived and made me stand around while we wait on another flight which the board showed as cancelled the whole time. The driver proceeded to drop me at the wrong hotel. He had me fill out a form with the pick up details for the transfer back to the airport. I had already arranged this with the agency, so this request seemed odd (actually it was a scam). On the return a different driver picked me up. He asked me for payment, when I said I had payed he called his office to confirm. They said I had not paid. I showed the driver my Viator voucher, which he did not honor. Said it was my problem to work out with the company, so I had to pay (again) for the transfer. Which I did. Two strikes for Viator for me, this is the second bad experience I’ve had with their service providers in Europe. Enough for me.

We leisurely made our way to the next hotel where the two women were not in the lobby and had not checked out yet, so we had to wait twenty minute for these inconsiderate women. The driver tried to make up the lost time, and I actually arrived on time to check in and get through security in time to meet my plane. Thank you driver!</p>

Prague shared arrival tranfer

Very good service driver was waiting for us when we landed we had to wait in the car park until he fetched the minibus and we were the last drop off but all in all took about 45 mins . We upgraded to the private tour instead of the free on and it was excellent . We received a map and guide book which were good but no bottle of water which was advised .

<p>Prompt pickup and good value for money at e12 for a 30 minute trip.</p> <p>- When I had the hotel ring to confirm my booking and get the pickup time the rep they spoke to did not have any record of my booking which had been made the day before. I do not know what the issue was as could not understand the language so make sure you get your booking confirmed especially as you want to get picked up on time for your flight.</p>

<p>Do not book this transfer if you have an early flight...I pre-booked the transfer, which included information on my flight time which was at 6am, and everything seemed fine. I had my hotel call to check what time I would be picked up to go to the airport because the voucher did not include that information. I was told that they don't pick up that early. I ended up having to take a taxi to the airport, which was fine, but it would have been nice to know at time of booking that early transfers were not available.</p>

Prague airport transfer

Many thanks to Victor (Director) who took the time and trouble to pick us up from the Hotel and drive us to the airport on Sunday evening. This follows a mix up by Expedia who did not explain the process correctly so we had to pay for a taxi to take us to Prague on arrival. Until Victor arrived we though we would have to do the same again on our return Not only did Victor provide us with a running commentary on the sights during our return journey , he also refunded the cost of our original taxi fare ! A great example of excellent customer service and I will definitely use Gray line again when I next visit Prague .

<p>Great service - called as per instructions to obtain pick-up time, gentleman was 15 minutes early and we only had 1 other pick-up enrolee to airport. Arrived with plenty of time to spare, feeling relaxed as the vehicle was clean and spacious and the driver courteous and careful. Would recommend this company and certainly use them again</p>

Our Holland American tour director at the hotel was able to secure us with very inexpensive transportation to the airport. It was very frustrating experience since we would not speak the language to communicate with the viator vendor in Prague. However, Viator did make good on our prepaid voucher upon our return home.</p>

<p>After giving them the name of the hotel at the booking, responding to an email asking again for the hotel name again, and confirming the time of pick up and hotel again 4 days before the pick up, they could not get the information correct. I was supposed to be picked up at 0845, but at 0900 I called to find out the shuttle was at another hotel 5 minutes away looking for me. It took the shuttle 20 minutes to pick me up and make 2 more stops before getting me to the airport one hour before my flight took off. Since I was late and the flight was overbooked I had to be on standby and wait to see if I would get a seat on the plane after they closed the flight. I was able to get on 15 minutes before take off. A very stressful way to start the day.</p>
