Petr, our guide, was great. He spoke fluent and clear English. I particularly enjoyed his explaining Czech history en route. Kutna Hora is a lovely quiet town that harbors great history. We all loved the “bone chapel” even my 13 and 6 year olds. They asked lots of questions and Petr answered them all gracefully and patiently.

Pleasant tour to Kutna Hora

Natalia was a lovely tour guide who made the trip out to Kutna Hora the ideal 1/2 day outside of Prague. She is very knowledgeable and engaging throughout the entire tour. We learned a lot about Kutna Hora and more about the history of the Catholic church and the Czech people. It was the perfect way to take a break from Prague and tour in a calmer, less populated area.

Great historical tour outside the crowds of Prague

We just came back from our trip to Kutna Hora - truly one of the main highlights of our trip to Prague. Our tour guide (Petr) picked us up from the hotel lobby and handled all the details. His English was great and he was so knowledgeable. The bone church and multiple cathedrals were so beautiful, and we had a lovely 1/2 day at the town. I highly recommend this tour - I would happily sign up for another tour with this same operator again. Thank you Petr.

Excellent Tour

Don't Miss a Stop Here

We had heard so much about the 'Bone Church' that we decided we wanted to see it for ourselves. It was worth the trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the area and took us for a walk through the quaint village. We also visited the cathedral of my patron saint, St. Barbara.

Highly recommended! The company was flexible with accommodating my schedule, and I was able to easily reach the owner using WhatsApp to schedule tours, add friends to the tour group, and ask questions about scheduling. Tomas is an excellent tour guide, and he was on time for hotel pick up. Very flexible with tailoring the tour to our interests. You can tell he is passionate about Czech history and culture!

Best Tour of Kutna Hora

The guided tour is worth the time it takes to get there. We visited the Bone Church and Santa Barbara church. Both were exquisite and beautiful. The history of the churches is also the history of the people. It is so worth taking the time to visit. We had the best guide, Petr, who was so helpful and knowledgeable about the history. He also took us to a great local restaurant and we had authentic Chech lunch and yummy dessert. Highly recommend.

Great Historical Trip - Completely Worth It

What a lovely day visiting Kunta Hora. There is a great deal to see, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. We had a lovely day learning about all the history and then having a traditional Czech lunch. I recommend this tour wholeheartedly.

Peter was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable about art, architecture and culture. Also very considerate of my issues with limited mobility. We enjoyed visiting the Bone Church and the cathedral. He also took us to a great local restaurant for lunch. It was a great day.

We took a day trip to Kutna Hota to see the Sedlec Ossuary and the Church St. Barbara which was the highlight of our trip to Prague...Our guide Petr was very knowledgeable and gave us so much history and did so in a way that was so engaging! Amazing Day in Kutna Hora with Petr

I really really enjoyed my private tour with Thomas, he made me really comfortable and spent a lot time explaining all the cathedrals, churchs, and buildings. An Amazing Day Trip Just Outside of Prague

What a fantastic experience! Our guide, Lenka, was so sweet. Her English was fantastic and she was incredibly knowledgeable. She picked us up at the hotel lobby and gave us a mini tour of Prague as we drove through the city en route to Kutna Hora. We were a little concerned with how long the tour was supposed to be, but it was really a perfect amount of time to see everything on the itinerary. We even finished a little early, so she took us to a nearby spa for some natural mineral water and a quick tour of Podebrady. Once we were back in Prague, she recommended an amazing restaurant for lunch right on the river. Truly a fantastic way to spend the day!

Highly Recommend This Tour

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 hr private guided tour to Kunta Hora. Jan, our tour guide/driver, was very informative and knowledgeable about the history of each of the churches we visited. Jan was professional throughout and provided recommendations for dinner after we returned to Prague. His knowledge and expertise and humor were greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend Jan to anyone traveling to Kunta Hora. If we ever return to Prague we would search him out.

An Unusual Church

This is a truly unusual church and kind of creepy. It is decorated with actual human bones. Our tour guide was very knowable and respectful of the dead. He took us to a locals restaurant for lunch, that was delicious. I recommend Jan Pechac, of Lucy Tours. He is a good tour guide. He even was explaining about the crops in the fields that we saw driving to the village. We saw a Lego store and commented on it and he told us the history of Lego in their area. He knows his stuff.

Don't skip Kutna Hora!

Kutna Hora is a beautiful city with unique places to see. The driver was outstanding and lunch was delicious.

As mentioned on my other reviews of Lucy Tours, we were in Prague for four days before venturing onto Budapest for a river cruise. I contacted Lucy and she was amazing in arranging three separate private tours over three days, with this tour begin the last of our three days. She was so incredibly helpful and coordinated everything now to the smallest detail. And her rates were exceptionally reasonable for the tours provided. Once again we had Roman as our Guide/Driver, the same wonderful guide we had the previous day on tour #2. Roman was simply the best…fun, professional, informative, helpful and knowledgable. He brought the history to life and made clear what something was important, significant or important to remember. The van was clean, comfortable and well A/C’d…especially given the heatwave in europe during August. Fun Day Trip

We had limited time today and wanted to get out of the city. We had a beautiful drive in the countryside and Michael changed it up coming and going to see different areas. We leisurely roamed the city with visits to several beautiful and interesting churches. He took us to a few great spots for pictures and then he dropped us at an excellent cafe in Prague for a late lunch.

Tailored 6-Hour Tour of Kutna Hora

Yesterday we had the good fortune to share a day with Roman, our guide to Kutna Hora from Lucy Tours. One of our friends traveling with us this trip has studied the Hussite period extensively and we were able to easily tailor our tour to see specifics from that time. Our guide, Roman, was very knowledgeable about the area and the Hussite history so it made our experience all that much better. We were four adults in our party and our vehicle for the day was a large Mercedes Van that was extremely comfortable for the drives. Lucy Tours is well operated, very responsive, and affordable. Highly recommend.

Great tour - lots of steps

The trip to Kunta Hora was fantastic. We mostly went for the Bone church but St Barbara’s Cathedral was great also and the guide took us up inside the church to see how it was built and get a birds eye view of the statues and organ. There are a lot of steps. This is not a tour for people who have trouble walking or not in good shape. You will miss a log if you don’t do the steps. For example, one church has 84 steps and you go up and down the same way. It is a narrow hall so you cannot stop to rest. Take that into consideration based on your age and fitness level.

Wonderful day with Roman!!

The trip was incredible and I would highly recommend. We went as a family of five and the history and information was fascinating. The Bone Church was a highlight for the family. Roman is full of wonderful information. We have determined there is no better way to see and learn while traveling than with a tour, because you learn so much more!

This was an excellent tour of Kutna Hora. My email communications with Lucy were efficient and her responses were swift and clear. There was a real willingness to accommodate my personal needs including travel by public transport and making the most of my time to see as much as possible. My guide, Lida, spoke good English and she went out of here way to make my tour enjoyable and memorable over quite a long day and, at my request, minimal refreshment breaks. Her flexibility was appreciated. She was really good company, very informative and able to answer my questions fully and through meaningful discussion. Our conversations were enjoyable. I got everything I wanted from this day tour and I would certainly use this company if I was in Prague again. I have no hesitation in recommending Lucy’s Tours for anyone who wants to make the most of their visit to the Czech Republic.

Great Experience!

Zuzana was an excellent guide! Punctual with pick up at hotel, warm welcome and great driver. She is very knowledgeable about the history of the area and presents it in such a way that it can be remembered and applied from one location to another. Though a private tour for a solo traveler can be pricey, it is well worth the money. The time spent talking to your guide and really learning about the life, culture and history is priceless.

Loved it!

We loved the tour. Our tour guide Lenka was amazing and very knowledgeable. She have y is history as we were leaving Prague at landmarks we passed. We visited the Cathedral, St. Barbara's, the Sedlec Ossuary, the Royal Mint, and even had a little time left, so she took us to another small town to try mineral water. Kutna Hora was beautiful and we are very happy we paid to have the private tour. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel.

We booked 2 private tours, to Kutna Hora and Terezin, Jan was our guide and he was brilliant. We were picked up on time and given expert knowledge from start to finish, very informative and professional, Jan even gave us advise on bars and restaurants in Prague when we got back. Kutná Hora Tour

We had a great tour of Kutná Hora with Jana. She was hilarious and incredibly knowledgeable about all things Czech Republic. Private tours are totally the way to go, and we could not have had a more perfect day with Jana.

Well worth the extra cost for a private tour

It’s so nice to have your own private car and guide. Kutna Hora is a must see with the Bone Church and historic town of Kutna Hora plus the silver minting shop. There were a couple of cute restaurants that we would’ve liked to have checked out, but the day slipped away. Our tour guide Lenka was very nice, prompt, and knowledgeable.

Short

The town and churches are very beautiful & worth while. The Ossuary is unbelievable & larger than others I have seen. My only complaint is that the tour is a 6 hour tour & at 3 hours in to the tour our guide was walking us back to the car to head back to Prague. I asked if we could stop for a beer or bite to eat, to which Petr happily obliged. Even after stopping we were at our hotel in Prague at the 5 hour mark. It is a 1.5 hour drive each way. I think either the tour length & price should be shortened, or perhaps other areas/shopping should also be a part of the tour. Seems like if we pay for 6 hours that’s what we should get. I understand people move at different paces, but we would have been back at least an hour & a half early if I hadn’t mentioned stopping.
