Prague Castle and Lobkowicz Palace entrance tickets

Heck! Get it Right!!!

Horrible coordination on site today. Bought the combo Prague Castle and Lobkowicz Palace. Instead of receiving tickets we received a PDF that would enable us to „redeem tickets from EITHER of two „Redemption points. 1. Prague Castle OR. 2. Lobkowicz Palace. Arriving at Prague Castle we wasted well over an hour waiting in the into line, ticket line trying to determine where our Prague Castle RP was! From “look for ppl with white umbrellas” to “go to Golden lane” it wasn’t till after all this that someone said we could ONLY obtain tickets at Lobkovicz Palace, we could have saved ourselves over an hour.

Buying this voucher online will not save you time nor money

I am hoping that sharing my experience will help you. Buying this ticket online has absolutely no benefits. Please read the reasons. 1) The entire area is the working offices of the President ( and/or Prime Minister). So it can be closed to the public with short notice. That is why you cannot buy the ticket online from the property. I got an email from Viator the day before I had my voucher that the entire palace was closed to the public due to a state visit. I do not blame Viator for this; they have not been given advance notice for security reasons. Be aware. If that happens, you will not get a refund. You either have to go a day before or a day after. I was lucky that I had a free day the day after and rearranged my plans. If you have a full schedule or are leaving the next day, that may not be possible. 2) The purchase online will not save you any time or money. You still have to stand in line up to exchange your voucher for a ticket. 3) Prague Castle and Lobkowicz Palace are operated separately. I stood in line at the Prague castle to be told they knew nothing about the voucher. They sent me to Lobkowics Palace, which opens an hour later. By the time I got my ticket, Prague Castle, which had opened an hour earlier, had sold lots of tickets, and the lineup everywhere was long. I did a tour of Lobkowicz Palace and had to return their audio. I was told if I wanted the audit for the castle, then I had to stand up in the long line up at the Prague Castle ( where I was in earlier that day) Conclusion: Show up at the Prague castle early ( before 9 am). Buy your ticket and audio and start your day.

A must see in Prague!

A great experience. The palace is full of history and ornate rooms. Well worth the visit. The place seemed very accessible.

Bad experience

The confirmation email didn’t clearly instruct where to redeem the tickets. We were so frustrated with finding the ticket redeem place. It took us quite a lot of time walking inside out the complex.

Amazing history and views. Once you have climbed the longest amount of steps getting to the Castle and its vast complex you will not be disappointed with the results.

Very good day out for all the family

There was an interesting story behind everything and the portrait galleries were wonderful. We had no problems with getting the tickets and there are many spectacular views of Prague to be found. The only problem was the amount of people on walking tours which makes some attractions quite busy. Would definitely buy tickets again from Viator.

Don't buy this

These are not entrance tickets! If you try to exchange this voucher for entrance tickets the ticket office will not do it, I know it states on the voucher that they will but they will not. Luckily tripadvisor refunded me.

Great eventually!

Great place, amazing buildings and views. Took a while, a long walk and a long queue in the wrong place,to sort out where to get my 'proper' ticket.

Stunningly beautiful collection

The Palace exhibition of paintings and objects is stunning. The audio guide is very informative and adds hugely to the experience. The castle itself really requires a guided tour, or else you just goggle bemusedly and don't learn anything.

buying the ticket in advance increased the level of the experience and lobk palace is a must see place to understand prage and its history

A bad experience with ticketing

We couldn’t pay the tickets before going because the system didn’t work. We had to pay the ticket directly at the castle and in the evening we got the message that the money has been reserved from our credit card without having had the tickets! We wrote mails and hope to solve the problem but definitely a very bad experience!

Prague visit

Excellent place to visit what a magnificent views so beautiful lots to see sent just under 3hrs seeing the sights within the palace and castle

Beautiful, must-see (especially the cathedral).

These tickets covered everything we wanted to see and were super easy to use. The castle and associated sites were stunning and well worth the hike up the hill.

Not worth it

Quite dull. Didn’t have a bathroom to use on site. Expected to pay at a nearby bathroom after. Most places that charge fees like this at least offer a bathroom to use.

Nice View of Prague From The Complex

We made our visit on a Sunday but unbeknownst to us when we ordered our tickets, there were going to be some activities going on and parts of the complex were also closed for renovation. All that means the areas where we had access to were very limited. The signs to the queues were not clear and many tourists there looked confused. When I tried to seek direction from one of the soldiers who was standing close to the entrance, I got this rude reply, "Do I look like a information center? I don't know and I don't care!". Nice. After queuing uphill for some 20 minutes and passing through the security checkpoint, we collected our tickets from the museum reception. The museum was interesting enough, with the section about various well know composers of particular interest to me. The audio tour guide certainly helped made it more enjoyable. The terrace alone, from where you can have an unbeatable view of Prague, is well worth the ticket price. All in all, It was worth a visit but somehow I expected a bit more. Perhaps it was due to bad timing when many key buildings were closed. Chances are, once the renovations are completed, it will prove to be a much more worthy visit.

Very informative tour on the history of the Lobkowicz family and Prague as well. Beautiful building as well.

Awesome

We spent about 2 hours in the old royal palace. If you like history get circuit A admission ticket... Golden Lane was really cute little alley to stroll, both St Vitus and Basilica St George were gorgeous and very memorable. Overall we were in Prague castle for a little over 6 hours

If you climb from the east side it’s ok

If you climb from the castle east side that’s fine. If you climb from the main guard gate side, I am afraid you need to walk across the big castle ground to collect ticket for Lobkowicz castle. Prague castle is unique , it’s big it’s no like a normal castle but rather a small town (2 cathedrals) ; it has different level of tickets to access different places in castle; please prepare at least more than half a day to visit the castle.

History, paintings and great views

The palace was a quiet oasis in the middle of the castle. Lots of family paintings and pottery inside the palace with some great views over Prague. A great way to get tickets for the castle as there were no queues at the palace.

Very beautiful city Clean It can also be easily visited on foot or by public transport I visited the museum of the convent of Santa Agnese and I really liked it

Obtention des billets d’entrée au au guichet du palais Lobkowicz sans problèmes. Une visite à ne pas manquer. Histoire, architecture, culture, tout est là.

Viel Kunst und Geschichte

Sehr interessante Tour! Gut das wir die Tickets vorher gekauft haben, da man im Bereich der Prager Burg für fast alles welche braucht. Das Ticket enthält zum Glück die sehenswertesten Bereiche der Burg und erspart einem so langes anstehen.

Experiência ruim

Fomos em vários pontos de compra de ingressos e informação e cada um explicava uma coisa diferente de como e onde teríamos que ir para trocar nosso ticket. Encontramos alguns funcionários bem rudes, inclusive um deles me feriu ao puxar a porta com força. Ao tentarmos trocar os tickets adiquiridos por papel, o sistema não encontrava a reserva. Ainda bem que a funcionária foi bem simpática e nos entregou mesmo assim os ingressos. Perdemos vários lugares para visitar pq já haviam fechado

Très belle visite. Un lieu chargé d’histoires. En plus une vue magnifique sur la ville. Retraitées billets pratique et rapide.

Halte au restau et visite du palais

Idéalement situé dans l’enceinte du château de Prague et proche de la sortie le restaurant du palais est la halte idéale pour se poser et se réchauffer. La terrasse offre une très belle vue sur Prague. Le palais possède une importante collection de peintures dont deux grands formats de Canaletto et un Bruegel parmi des dizaines de portraits d’ancêtres.

Απαραίτητη επίσκεψη

Δε νοείται να ταξιδέψει κανείς στην Πράγα χωρίς να επισκεφτεί το λόφο του Κάστρου. Ελάτε όσο πιο νωρίς το πρωί μπορείτε, καθώς από το μεσημέρι και μετά έχει πάρα πολύ κόσμο και ακόμα και το περπάτημα θέλει προσπάθεια.

A visiter !

Très belle découverte ! Le musée retrace l'histoire de la famille Lobcowicz, ainsi que les évènements important de chaque époque. Vue panoramique de la ville via un balcon. Audio guide compris dans le prix.

Complesso del castello

Il palazzo fa parte del castello, quindi la potete visitare insieme alla Cattedrale di S. Vito con un biglietto unico. Si trova nella parte alta di Praga sulla nona collina come indicato in molte guide. Ospita inoltre le Collezioni e il Museo Lobkowicz, da visitare assolutamente con una guida o audio guida in quanto le descrizioni sono molto scarne ed è facile non capire assolutamente nulla di quanto esposto nelle teche o quadri.

Sehenswert auf alle Faelle

Das Paley von Lobkoviccz ist so schoen ,das ich einen erneut Ausflug dorthin machte.Einfach sehenswert wo die DDR BUERGER fuer ihre Freiheit dort warteten !! Natuerlich war auch die Burg sehenswert, die kannte ich aber schon von frueher . Auf alle Faelle SEHENSWERT mit toller Fuehrung DANKE !!

Exceptionnel !

Superbe palais avec des pièces exceptionnelles liées à Beethoven, Mozart, Velasquez,... Prix très raisonnables avec audioguides compris en français.

Malísima

No pudimos encontrar el lugar para recoger los boletos que nos permitían la entrada al Palacio de Lobkowicz y al Castillo de Praga, caminamos por una hora, tomamos tres Uber que nos llevaran a la dirección y no encontraron ninguno de los choferes de Uber esa dirección, así que solo perdimos el tiempo, el dinero y la ilusión. Muy mala organización de ir por los boletos a un lugar lejos de la entrada de los lugares.

Imprescindibile

Uno dei più bei castelli d'europa, non solo castello ma complesso monumentale, con una cattedrale imponente e stupefacente. Qui tra il resto abita il presidente della repubblica. Non sono d'accordo con chi scrive che si può fare il minimo senza biglietto, che è una delle tante cattedrali, che il palazzo reale si può non vedere. Merita una visita,di certo attenzione alle date ed orari x il grande afflusso. Vale la pena acquistare biglietto tour intermedio.

Bezoek aan Praagse Burcht

Zoals te doen gebruikelijk bij een stedentrip hoort daar dan zeker het bezoek aan de burcht bij. En dat is zeker de moeite waard, als je wat ouder bent zou ik er zeker niet te voet naar toe gaan !! terug te voet was voor ons geen probleem. Wij hadden ons bezoek gepland op een zondag en dat viel qua drukte toch wel mee.

Correcto pero un poco caro para lo que es. Audio palacio pensaba que era otra cosa y en la catedral del castillo sin guia.

Retrait des billets.

L'endroit pour le retrait de billets est très mal renseigné sur place. Dès l'entrée au château il n'y avait aucune indication et nous avons dû faire la file au guichet pour obtenir les informations pour le retrait des billets.

Magnifique

Franchement un incontournable à faire la Cathédral est grandiose et la visite du chateau laisse la part belle à l'histoire du pays

Visita al quartiere del castello

L'attrazione più bella è sicuramente la cattedrale di S. Vito! Il palazzo Lobkowicz è risultato più interessante rispetto alle tre sale del castello visitabili. Tutto sommato la visita al quartiere è stata un po'deludente.....
