First night in Prague, a great start.

Thomas was our nightwatchman for the evening and gave us an insightful and entertaining tour of 1600's Prague. Good humour and involvement along the way as we meandered through the old town and spent a pleasant hour or two learning more about this fascinating town. Our Nightwatchman Oscar was excellent, he was very informative and knowledgeable. His stories brought everything to life and some were very funny. We learned quite a bit about Prague both past and present. We would thoroughly recommend this tour

An excellent way to learn about the city

An excellent way to learn about the city . This is a tour of the city from the vantage point of a Night watchman and Thomas nailed every minute of it weaving through medieval and modern Prague perfectly, keeping the tour lightweight and interesting. Highly recommended!!

Best tour of the trip

Spent the evening with Oscar and found it fascinating. If you want to see Prague at night but unsure if safety trust the night watchman as they protect but give a fantastic tour of the city with really interesting facts. Best tour of the trip.

Amazing

Our tour guide was Thomas. No words to describe how fabulous he was. He practically took us back in time with his style of explanation. He was a walking encyclopedia who had great knowledge in history. He was full of life. Really enjoyed the tour and one the best tours I had in Prague. I would say this is must for anyone who wants to have a good insight into the history of prague and walk through the places which you generally tend to miss on city tours.

Historical Night Watchman Tour

Thomas gave an excellent night watchman tour. He covered much of the history of the city and gave lots of details about living in Prague at various times. Very interesting and well done tour!

Interesting commentary

It was a very laid back experience. Our guide, Thomas, was entertaining but not over the top, which I appreciated. All in all a fun walk with interesting commentary.

Fun and engaging evening tour! Our guide was great and our four boys (8-16 years old) really enjoyed it.

Fun night walking tour with a quirky twist. Highly Recommend.

So happy with this tour. I wish there were more evening walking tours for those who don't like to wake up early or have a sensitive skin and want to avoid harsh daytime sun. Our guide Thomas was an absolute gem. He made the entire tour so much fun despite some of the gory history of the city. Also gave us recommendations for good restaurants to check out away from the touristy areas.

Great introduction to Prague

Thomas was very informed and well spoken. We loved his information and props. He involved everyone in the group with questions and humor.

Fun historical story-filled tour

Thomas was full of very interesting information and stories. He was also personable and fun. We visited many sites along the way, and heard about them from a different perspective than your average tour. It was time well-spent!

Unique.. Cannot miss!

The nightwatchman of Prague is one of those 'cannot miss' activities when coming to Prague. David was our guide, he has a very interactive storytelling approach which not only makes the tour stand out from the others, but also a very interesting and fun way to learn about some facts and historical events from the 1600's. Recommend 1000%!!

A must when in Prague

Highly recommended tour when in Prague. Thomas was our "Night Watchman" and he is really good in conducting the tour. It was fun in a sense that it was like a classroom setup with him testing us of our knowledge in history. It was a good refresher and learned a lot of stuff too. We did not even notice that we have been walking for so long in the cold. Great tour! If we are back in Prague, we will most likely take their other tour which is about the Plague Doctor.

We had great time!

The guide was an amazing actor. Walking at night with him felt like we at back in time. He was a great story teller. The actor was originally from England but it felt like he lived in Prague all his life. We really enjoyed the tour. Highly recommended.

Entertaining and informative nocturnal walking tour

Humorous, highly entertaining and informative your of Prague's Old Town. Thomas was a thoroughly excellent guide, who traced Lutheranism back to Jan Huss, described markets and moments of gore and detailed the origins and consequences of the 30 year war along the way. Highly recommended.

A Must Do!!!!

We met our Night Watchman yesterday by the powder tower. What followed was a tour of fascinating historical tales of woe and strife, a search for furry friends by the river, and endless witty banter and jokes. 10/10 would recommend again, and we're doing another tour with them today as well. Fantastic tour

We thouroughly enjoyed the Nightwatchman tour through Prague old town. Our guide was Martin and he was very informative and made the tour lots of fun. Loved the authentic clothes they wear and hearing about life in 1633 Prague. Highly recomend this tour.

Best tour we did, a must!

This is a must. We had a great four days in Prague, but this tour definitely stood out. Despite being the only two attendees on a wet and windy night in down season, David was enthusiastic, witty and charismatic. He was very informative, not only about 17th century Prague but also answered all of our questions about other things we’d seen. It lasted 90 minutes. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed this tour, would have liked a bit more info on non religious aspects. Nightwatchman was in character which added some humour.

This groups is very accommodating and professional. We booked a tour with them, then had a problem and could not attend. They were quick to respond to our request, did everything they could to accommodate and work with us. Thank you, it is unusual to have a tour group help as much as they did. Thank you!

Great night tour

This is a great way to see Prague's old town at night. Even if you have seen the city in the morning the night is an amazing time to soak in the sites again. Martin, our tour guide was very friendly and informative. We heard how life was in the 17th century and the history of the monuments in the old town. All in all, if you want to see Prague old town at night this is an amazing way to do it.

Fantastic fun hanging out with a night watchman

Jan took us on an adventure bringing us back in time telling stories of Prague’s history. He was an entertaining night watchman who kept in character and delighted our group with tales of Prague’s religious battles and their people’s history and culture. The tour was really entertaining and informative and nice to walk around at night with not too many people in the streets. Was funny to see people’s reactions as Jan calmly walked through the streets with his weapon and lantern.

Interesting Perspective of Prague

Our group of 4 (ages 30's-70's) appreciate the informative and interesting tour that Martin provided for us last week. Being able to walk the Old Town Center in the evening with Martin leading with his lantern was a wonderful experience. We learned much about the daily, including religious, life that was experienced in the 17th century in this area. It was a bit chilly last week so extra shout out to Martin for asking how we were doing to make sure that we were comfortable.

Brilliant!

Absolutely fantastic tour with Martin, who helped us enter the world of a night watchman in 17th century Prague with tons of interesting information about the rulers, the trade, the diet and health of the population and much much more!

Entertaining evening, wrap up warm!

Absolutely a delight when Martin dressed up and did the tour with us. Being a small group @ low season, I guess it meant we got to interact with him a bit more. But I’m sure he wouldn’t disappoint either in a larger group! You will be outside so put more clothes on...

Nachtwatchers Tour with Oscar

I made the Nightwatchers tour with Oscar. He offers German and Spanish tours. During the tour I learned a lot about Prague and its history. It was really interesting. They have this great Nightwatchers costumes and they are talking in old languag. If you want to have an non usual Prague tourist tour I really recommend the Nightwatchers! And ask if Oscar is available, he is doing a great job!

A fun walk at night

Remembering another night watchman tour years ago, we signed up for the English version. Put on your walking shoes because you will cross the old town from Powder tower to the river. Along the way you'll get a light dose of city history from various time period that provides a context for some of the sights you may have admired during the day. You can even book it in advance, on trip advisor.

Great tour of history

We we're so lucky to be the only two persons on our english tour that night. The telling was great, we learned lots of history we most likely never would have bothered to read about ourselves, and we got it told like it was from that time. The acting was great and we adapted our talking to that century (like when the lamp went out and we had to use magic to light it again). We got to ask a lot of stupid questions and got all the answers we needed, except one :D

Walk through history

Lots of fun to explore sights seen during the day from a more historical perspective. We walked all the way across town from the Powder tower to the pedestrian bridge with many stops along the way for historic minilectures.
