Best Tour in Prague for Fans of Modern History

Best tour I did in Prague, and maybe anywhere. Dylan was extremely knowledgeable, as many guides are I suppose, but he’s obviously also very interested in and passionate about the topic, which really makes a difference. I learned a lot, probably more than I would have gotten at a museum, and ended up with a list of things to go and check out later that I otherwise wouldn’t have found by myself. Can’t speak more highly of it!

Interesting tour

Really interesting tour, however we found our guide quite hard to follow at times. Fortunately we had already done a tour of the old town so were able to piece together some of what she was trying to tell us. Would still recommend as we saw plenty we wouldn’t have otherwise seen and did learn more about the more recent history of Prague.

Cannot fault what you pay.

I found this tour hard going and strenous. Would have been nice to have an half hour break half way through the tour. After a while the information the guide gives you just is words. Would have been brilliant if Mel waited 10 minutes for Frank Kafka's head rotating but she speeded along to the next section, maybe the break should have been there. Very knowledgeable but to be honest I was glad when it got to the end of the tour.

Excellent tour. I learned a lot and it was also fun. Paul had a lot of good suggestions for restaurants, bars and entertainment.

Mel explained how the famous clock worked, I had no idea how amazing it was until today. Had heard so many good things about Prague, and doing the walking tour verified everything!!!

Great historical tour

Great tour. Isars was our guide, and he was excellent. The detailed explanations and the sensitivity when touching difficult moments of Czech history made the experience even better. The tour takes around 2.5 hours, and you can explore the new city and understand the connections with the old town and the castle. 100% recommended.

Dani the best guide!

We did two tours with Dani, the Galician: the one about Nazism and the one about imprecisdibles. We loved them both and we managed to understand the history of Prague. He makes a short stop halfway through each tour to buy water, use the bathroom or buy a coffee. We would repeat without a doubt.

I did the Nazism and Communism tour with Rayo, it was very interesting, dynamic and very entertaining. It was 3 hours that went by very quickly. Rayo was attentive to all questions and concerns. Excellent!

Highly recommended tour to get to know Prague in the 20th century and learn about everything from its history to its art. May explained this time in the city to us in a very interesting way. On the other hand, Verneus Prague is highly recommended for taking tours and getting to know the city in depth!

Isard has given us a masterful tour, with great lessons on European history (always from the perspective of Prague), super well documented with maps and in a super objective / assertive way. From this trip I take away many reflections that he gave us during the tour about how the war, Nazism and the Cold War originated, as well as the possibility of seeing some samples in situ that allow you to get an idea of the setting. I loved it, perhaps the best of the tours I have done with Verneus (and I have done 3). Super recommended!!
