Karlovy Tour is a rip-off

Eva is an excellent guide and the scenery as well as the town itself just beautiful…but that is as far as it goes …the rest is a rip off as we expected to immerse ourselves in spring water, however we ended up swimming in a pool filled with fresh water…just like we have at home

Spa pool ghastly

Trip took 3 hours each way ( Road closed) plus 30 minutes pick up from hotels. Had a fast paced glimpse of a beautiful spa town with no time to explore. Had one and a quarter hours for own lunch which also felt rushed. However the worst bit was the spa, this was a visit to what I can only describe as a municipal pool. Basic changing rooms, a pool divided into lanes and one jacuzzi pool- no atmosphere or luxury elements. We finished in twenty minutes then had to wait an hour an a half for the mini bus. Would have stayed in the town if we’d have known what a waste of time the pool was.

Relaxing Day Out of Prague

We were picked up on time and had a driver and guide for our trip. Gustav was a very caring guide who looked after us well and made sure that we had all the information and leaflets that we would need to enjoy our day. Gustav was a very knowledgeable guide and we enjoyed all the history and information that he shared with us. Karlovy was a lovely relaxing town to visit and we are pleased that we had such a good guide to show us around and to make sure that we saw all the important sights and taste the mineral water from the various springs around the town. Thank you for a great day.

Horrible

Booked this tour at the last minute...did not do the research and failed to see the other reviews. Please.... stay away from this tour company. The lunch included was mediocre ( soup- a watered chicken noodle and the salad...old and soggy). The city and moser tour itself not worth the money. Our guide could not answer questions then left the tour group to go home on the outskirts of town before we re-entered the city, leaving the driver with all of us to take us back to our hotel. It took 2 hours and the driver drove so recklessly that I seriously thought we were going to get into an accident. The red tours (Sandeman) are 1000 times better safer and the guides we found were better informed. Please trust the reviews and seek a other options.

Karlovy vary trip a very bad experience with Prague Bus Tours

I went to Karlovy vary English trip and maser factory with lunch ,with Prague bus tours on Friday 16/8/2019 ، the guide took us to maser factory then to Karlovy vary by bus as we reached the city she closed her umbrella and run to The restaurant she walked so fast that I lost her , she didn’t look for me , she went to the restaurant and waited for her lunch ; l had to call the main office at Prague to get her phone number and asked them to call her and give her my phone number as I am lost and I don’t know where she is because she was supposed to show us the city first according to the program ; l kept calling her for about 30 minutes but she didn’t answer so I phoned the office again so she answered and told me that she headed directly to a restaurant named Charley l asked her to send me location but she answered google it ; fortunately I found a policeman who show me the place , when I reached the restaurant she didn’t apologise she said that she has a group of 8 persons and she can’t watch every body ; I asked the rest of group what did they do , they told me that she headed directly to the restaurant and they are still waiting for lunch as they arrived earlier to lunch time , after lunch we asked her to show us the city and the hot springs but she said you can go by yourself and return before bus time , going back to Prague she was the first to leave the bus and left her group to the driver to take us to hotels ; a very bad experience I saw nothing of Karlovy vary no city , no hot springs nothing at all I don’t recommend Prague bus tours at all

Karlovy Vary is home to the internationally famous Grandhotel Pupp. Our day trip in Karlovy Vary has been nothing short of exciting in discovering the amazing hot spring and medieval buildings. Highly recommended to all holiday travellers to visit this wonderful spa town.

Nice day trip

I ended up booking Karlovy vary day trip with Prague bus tours company as our hotel front desk guy was new and couldn't assist us in booking this trip directly from the hotel..We had limited days left in Prague and we wanted to do this trip next day There is an app called getyourguide which I then installed.I booked Karlovy vary day tour with 3 course meal and hotel pickup and drop.I was sceptical about both the meal and whether we would be picked up on time for the tour since we had booked it late night for next morning.But I got a prompt confirmation by email and we were picked up on time from our hotel.The bus to Karlovy Vary was big v comfortable and had free WiFi.Although there were a total of only 6 people in the entire bus which included the driver and our guide.Our guide could speak fluent English and Spanish and was really good and informative.It was a scenic ride too.As part of our tour we had nice lunch at a good restaurant in Karlovy Vary.I was sceptical about food but all that vanished after the meal.The guide showed us around town and afterwards we got 3 hours to ourselves with a nice ride back to Prague and drop off at our hotel.It was one of the highlights of our Prague trip.Prague bus tours company is good and efficient

Day trip to Karlovy Vary from Prague

We loved our tour guide Jane, she was informative and had a sunny disposition. I loved how our group only had 2 other people aside from our group of 8, so it felt like a private tour. After getting to the city and the walking tour with Jane that lasted approximately 2 hrs, we had lunch which I would say was not that great. Wish we had better choices and better views for lunch. Also the fact was that the restaurant is on the other end of town opposite the Dana lookout point, we had no time for it anymore since it was quite a walk to and from the restaurant which was our meeting point at 4:15 PM. The only reason it’s 4 stars is because they should have chosen a more centrally located restaurant and/or meeting point for pick up so people don’t have to rush back to it at the end of the day. Also, 2 hrs after lunch is not enough time to shop or see and go back to the places u want to visit. They should extend “time on our own” to at least 3 hrs, anyway Karlovy Vary is not that far from Prague.

<p>This trip took 1-1/2 hours each way from Prague. What we received was an interesting walking tour of the spa town, followed by lunch and free time. I found the spa interesting from a historical point of view, but a spa town is like any other spa town. Viator could have found a better restaurant for the included lunch. A very large group left the restaurant before us and the choices that we were to get were changed for the worse. You would think that in a town of this size, there would be more choices for a restaurant. I thought we had too much free time based on what you could buy. I think that if you had limited time, this tour could be a pass.</p>

Lunch was average, and the restaurant could have been nicer. More like a local diner.. Karlovy Vary was beautiful and we had enough time to explore at leisure.</p>

Trip to Karlovy Vary not a must!

We took the day trip to Karlovy Vary from Prague including the 3-course lunch. Although Karlovy Vary's historical centre is architecturally charming, there is not much else to do or see other than shopping in expensive stores. The supplier was punctual, pleasant, flexible and took us into a walking tour of the town centre. The included lunch was in a small restaurant that apparently caters mainly to tour groups. The food itself was ordinary and the staff was irritable due to the frantic pace of groups coming in and out, so they want to serve you and get you out of there as soon as possible all in a rushed manner. The total travel time of this trip is 4 hours, with one hour for lunch, therefore, leaving another 3 hours for people to do whatever they wanted. However, there is not much to do except see a church, walk on the promenade and shop (for those interested in spending a lot of money in the expensive shops). Therefore, there is a lot of boring time to kill, specially if the weather is wet and cold as it was that day, which is not a pleasant experience. I had read elsewhere that some tours take people to a Bohemian glass factory, but this was not the case here. It would have been interesting to do so. Thus, this trip is not a must, but if wish a day out of Prague and see the countryside on the way (although, it is not that pretty), than make a decision based on the facts above.

Un lugar encantador... Desearía haber tenido más tiempo... El clima es muy cambiante durante esta época. Nos llovió un poco, hizo sol, nevó un poco, todo en cuestión de horas... El balneario estuvo bien y las columnatas son impresionantes... La encargados del tour amables y agradables. Siempre a tiempo. No puedo pedir más...

La compra del tour...

La compra del tour incluía la comida de tres platos, la sorpresa fue a la hora de comer, el guía no sabía nada de la comida y acabamos pagando la comida por segunda vez, reclamamos el mismo día por la tarde y aún esperamos respuesta.
