Relaxing Day Trip

A trip to Karlovy Vary was an enjoyable day trip out of Prague. Our guide Karolina was so friendly, we felt like family. The hot springs are interesting and different. The ride up the funicular to the watchtower gives you a good view of the beauty of the homes, businesses and landscape.

Well worth the trip

Had an amazing time. The tour guide, Karolina was amazing and was extremely knowledgeable of the history of not only Karlovy Vary but also the history of the Czech Republic. She was very calm and patient. I would definitely recommend this tour. The place itself was beautiful and although one of the main springs was closed it was well worth the trip.

Hot thermal springs and frozen smiles

The place is like a fairy tale, it's wonderful, the guide was okay, the schedule organization could have been better! The driver was super professional and attentive!

Not very interesting

We took this tour because the tours to the medieval town we wanted to go to did not run on mondays. It was a very small group. The tour guide tried very hard but there simply wasn’t much to talk about. The town has some mineral springs which had drinks from but apart from that it is an expensive rich persons resort town and as the two activities listed were unavailable to us on the day ( an elevator breakdown which our guide knew about but didn’t tell us about until we arrived and a trip to a lookout on very crowded public buses that did not eventuate ) we simply walk around the town for four hours then drove back to Prague. Bad luck aside it’s not a terribly interesting place but it’s a day outside of the city

Not the tour we booked!

It would appear that neither the driver nor the tour guide were informed that Karlovy Vary was hosting the world triathlon race which meant road closures. The tour guide also wasn't informed that the tour we booked was supposed to include the visit to the glass factory which was closed. Also closed was the funicular and Diane's view point which was also advertised as being part of the tour. Therefore 3 hours was far too long free time. So definitely not the tour we paid for! Despite that it was a beautiful town and worth the visit.

Great trip!

The trip is worth the price. Sophia was our guide and I highly recommend the tour with Sophia and this tour company. Make sure not to take electronic tour and take live guided tour.

Well-organized and Comfortable

The trip is well-organized and comfortable. Our guide, Michaela, was not only friendly but also extremely knowledgeable. She effortlessly provided explanations in both English and Spanish, ensuring a seamless experience without any wasted time or waiting around while she explained things in the second language. You will have approximately 2 hours of free time, allowing you to either grab a bite to eat or stroll around and appreciate the beautiful scenery.

Beautiful and Relaxing day trip

Incredible trip today out of Prague to Karlovy Vary with Tony our driver and Eva our guide. Informative conversation in the van on the way there. Brief 10 minute stop for break halfway. (Drinks or toilet) Great walk through town with Eva guiding us and giving history of the thermal waters. Purchased small spa cup and warm spa wafers. Be sure to bring Czech cash. Most vendors don't accept credit cards. After walk through spa area sampling the waters Eva took us to the funicular. It took us to top of mountain overlooking the town to Diana tower. Beautiful views from all sides in the open air tower. After tower Eva gave us option to walk to see the Russian Orthodox church. It was hills to walk so we declined but others on trip went and said it was really nice. We then had about 2 hr 15 min of free time in town. Walk along river, shop, eat lunch, take photos. Purchased a Gelato in the park. It was delicious. I highly recommend this trip and Eva and Tony. We left Prague at 8:45 am and returned by 5:45 pm. Fabulous and thanks for a great time.

It was amazing experience KARLOVY VARY-UNESCO a walk through the historic city center ,amazing views from the Diana tower Karolina Čásarová very experiences guide ,she told us everything we supposed to know I had very great day One of the best place to see if you are in Prague Thank you

Fantastic cristal

It was really nice to see all these beautiful pieces of cristal and also the demonstration of how they make it. really for kings, but also possible for simple people. I got a suvenier from there as well.

Great Tour Guide

My wife and I took a tour to Karlovy Vary with Karolina being our tour guide and she was fantastic about answering any questions asked and she handled Spanish and English questions with ease. This was a nice tour thru the Czech countryside passing through small towns and many fields of barley and hops used in brewing the great Czech beer. Karlovy Vary is a very charming town with lovely architecture, shops and restaurants.

lovely day visit to a beautiful town spa... yesteryear architecture lends a charm not so easily found today..wonderful visit with an excellent guide Michaela and courteous and safe driver ... visit to Moser factory was interesting but disapponting in that it did not include the glass cutting part of the factory as in Waterford, Ireland

Go only if you want to spend a full day outside of Prague

We were recently in Prague, finishing up a 10 day river cruise. After sightseeing around the city for 2 days, we were interested in partaking the hot springs, and this was recommended from a friend of a friend. Let me cut to the chase. Our guide (Suzanne) was wonderful and informative, so she was the high point of the day. It is a full day event, leaving the hotel around 8:30am and we didn't get back until 6:30pm. You spend about 4 hours+ just driving to and from Karlovy Vary. The Moser factory "tour" was interesting only in terms of the intricacy and beauty of the blown glass, but the "tour" was simply a walk into one corner of the factory and watching for 10 minutes. Karlovy Vary is a picturesque village nested into the hillsides with many bubbling hot springs, each purporting to have some healing powers. Watching the multitude of people walking about, sucking on their special cups, sipping the local mineral water was baffling. Understanding the history of the town, from pre-WWII to its significance under the Nazi-ruled Third Reich and then under the Soviet Bloc and how it is now a go-to place of many Russians is interesting as well. I would say that there are many other sites to see in and around Prague without resorting to this trip. If you want to take in the hot springs, plan a trip to Budapest, because this isn't it.

Karlovy Vary was great, but the guide was awful!

We loved Karlovy Vary and the Moser Glass Factory, but our guide was awful. We had wished we took a bus or train on our own. We had a few Spanish speaking people so our guide needed to explain in two languages. I certainly don't mind that, but she started each sentence in English, and finished in Spanish. As a result, none of us knew what she was talking about. She didn't seem too knowledgeable because she didn't answer any questions we asked. We ended up leaving the walking tour of Karlovy Vary early, and meeting them later for the ride back to our hotel. We had a very nice time wandering around the town, and we had a great lunch on our own. We noticed that most people left the group too. A 1/2 hour before we got back to Prague, Suzanne had the driver drop her off. I have never heard of a tour guide leaving the tour early! Unfortunately, we don't feel the tour was worth the money due to the unprofessional guide.

Don't go there. Waste of time.

We booked a tour with the Getyourguide app: Guide was awful. Didn't give a **** about us. Scarce information. He ran away as soon as "break" started. Didn't even smile once. And he dared to ask for tips. Bus driver drove like crazy. The meal was regular. The town is cute, but there is nothing to do there. And everything is ridiculously expensive.

Long Day but interesting

Prompt Pick up by Peter and met others on nice mini bus. Peter gave a guided tour as we left the city which was interesting. Stopped after about 1.15 mins for comfort break as needed , roads are not like the UK. Lunch early as English speaking guided tour not for about 1 hour. Lunch was bit of a rush, not Peters fault, and walked back to glass factory (5 mins) Glass factory was very good and enjoyable, young lady spoke excellent English and was entertaining. Walks around the town was good (if cold, again not Peters fault) and trying the waters was an acquired taste, no matter what temperature. Town cute but not too much to do. All in all a good day but 4 hours plus driving was it worth it,,,,probably. Peter did his best !

Wonderful time

Carolina was a great tour guide and made our day very special. I particularly enjoyed the Moser factory. Lunch was good and the information shared with such enthusiasm and love for her country made for a great day!

Trip to Karlovy Vary and Moser...

<p>Trip to Karlovy Vary and Moser Factory from Prague is the title however the Moser factory was not even mentioned on the tour at all, A shame because that may of redeemed the trip somewhat.<br/> The bus was nice and clean and the hotel pickup went well. Our guide was multilingual but her English was not very good. We stopped for our 3 course lunch around 11:45 at Hotel Poppy outside Karlovy Vary and were finished by 12:20 and charged extra for drinks. The staff at the hotel were not polite and were taking our plates whilst we were still chewing then dropping the next course in front of us within 1 minute. We had soup which was nice but barely warm, chicken leg which was greasy and hardly any meat followed by a piece of bland/stale cheesecake about with size of my index finger.<br/> Karlovy Vary itself was very nice but our walking tour was mainly visiting shops and being told which product to buy. The free time we had was the best part of the day and the driver was pleasant and his driving felt safe and steady.</p>

About 10.5 hours round trip from...

<p>About 10.5 hours round trip from Warsaw. Excellent tour guide, I can't spell or pronounce his name. This tour was on an older Mercedes mini-van, not as easy to enter/exit the vehicle. I'm 5'8 and bumped my head a few times. Karlovy Vary Karlsbad is such a beautiful resort spa location that I which we had not spent as much time in the Moser Factory. I can see why Hollywood has one of their Movie Festival in this location. Beautiful architecture everywhere, Casino Royal was filmed at one of their beautiful hotels. We had lunch included with this tour, the hotel/restaurant was just outside of Karlovy Vary, it was very good. We just wish that there had been more free time to enjoy this Magnificent Posh Resort/Spa location. We only had @ 1 hour 15 min. of free time. Not enough time to enjoy anything other than get an ice cream, there were quite a lot of tours and people.</p>

Ciudad de las fuentes calientes

Ha sido un viaje ameno, aunque el tiempo no acompañó porque estuvo lloviendo. La ciudad es muy bonita, la guía en este caso ha sido Eva, todo correcto. Nos ha dado tiempo libre suficiente para comer y comprar algunos recuerdos.

As a stop ok

Karlovy Vary is very touristy and can be seen with a two-hour stop on the way to Prague. That's all it is.

Excelente visita en un viaje desde Praga con mucha información histórica del país y del origen y evolución de Karkovy Vary. Muy bien atendidos por Carolina (guía) e Ivan (chófer).

Ha sido un tour muy completo y la guía maravillosa, nos contó toda la historia en el minibus y allí nos enseño la Ciudad. La ciudad espectacular, preciosa y con un colorido impresionante. La visita a la fábrica con los niños fue un acierto y les encanto. Karolina un 10.

Karlovy Vary: un bonito paseo por sus fuentes termales

La excursión a Karlovy Vary fue muy bien, según lo previsto. Puntualidad a la hora de venir a buscarnos al hotel y al dejarnos en él. Michaela, la guía, muy amable y simpática. Hablaba perfectamente en español y en inglés. En las dos horas de trayecto nos dio explicaciones tanto de Praga como de la ciudad de los balnearios que íbamos a visitar, amenizándonos así el trayecto. Por ser lunes de Pascua, no pudimos ver trabajar a los obreros en la fábrica Moser; pero sí visitar su tienda e instalaciones. Después degustamos algunas de las aguas termales y tuvimos tiempo libre para almolzar. Aunque debido a la demora en el servicio del restaurante que elegimos, apenas pudimos pasear un poco más por nuestra cuenta. Lo interesante en esta ciudad sería poder pasar unos días de "relax" en algún balneario y seguir algún tratamiento específico.

Muy lindo tour

Me gustó mucho el tour. La ciudad es preciosa y la visita a la fábrica Moser muy interesante. Se cumplió exactamente con el programa, el guía muy amable y el autobús cómodo. Lo recomiendo pues es una visita imprescindible cuando vas a Praga

Desastre total

La excursión la hicimos el día 25/12 y ese día por fiesta nacional la fábrica estaba cerrada, Nos avisaron llegando a la ciudad...el géiser no se levanta 12 metros porque desde hace un tiempo el ducto está en reparación y así seguirá por un tiempo. El tiempo que estuvimos en la cuidad cómo aprox 3 horas...pues bonita, pero cansado de que me intenten vender productos cosméticos, porcelana para beber el agua de las fuentes. Una total decepción.

<p>Visitamos la ciudad balneario de Karlovy Vary, que incluía una visita a la fábrica de cristal de bohemia: Moser, así como también la comida en un hotel-restaurante en ruta, pudimos elegir los platos, había típicos de la cocina checa. Menú totalmente correcto.<br/> La guía Carolina, superagradable, nos explicaba los detalles de la visita y lo que podíamos ver en el tiempo libre, y durante el trayecto nos comentaba curiosidades históricas y actuales de la república Checa.<br/> Al finalizar el tour, iban dejando a cada uno de los participales en sus hoteles respectivos en Praga, cuestión que se valora muchísimo.<br/> En general sumamente recomendable. Disfrutamos muchísimo.</p>
