E Bike Day Trip I Visit a Roman Castle and Taste Craft Beer

Amazing way to see the Czech Countryside!

Everyone should take a bike ride through the Czech countryside! It was an amazing day. Our guide Lucie was punctual, friendly, and such a great leader on our trip to Karlstein castle and to lunch! I was impressed with the knowledge and all of the trails/bridges/pathways for cycling on this trip!

A good day out of Prague

Great bike ride along the river into the countryside outside Prague. A good workout but not overly strenuous. Great lunch and beer at a local brewery. Our guide Lucie was very well organized, gracious and capable.

Cannot recommend enough!

We had the best time on the e-bike tour to the castle and restaurant with craft beer. Our guide Lucie was terrific and had great energy. She catered the tour to our ability levels and made sure everyone got what they wanted out of the tour. Our group consisted of a family of three who decided to end their day at the castle, and my friend and I who decided to continue cycling and try out the local beers. The way was mostly flat until we got closer to the castle, where the e-bikes helped a lot. If you want more of a workout, you can keep the e-bike level at a 0 or 1 out of 5. If you want to cruise with little effort, you can put this number higher. Overall, I cannot recommend this tour enough, we had a beautiful day with splendid views and it was the highlight of our trip in Prague. Thanks Lucie!

Age was not an issue!!

Before I rave about this experience/adventure I should mention I am a few months short of my 75th birthday. The ride was totally fun, the ride along the river easy and the pace totally doable. The e-bikes were easy to use with 5 levels of assist and I believe 5 different gears. We rode approximately 55 km one way with a train ride provided back. Martin, our guide, was extremely capable, knowledgeable and helpful all along the course. Lunch and beer at a quaint village was provided. The max group size is 6 and our group hit it off from the beginning! And, oh yes, the castle was beautiful!! I could not recommend this trip more...

The best activity to do in Prague!

It was a fantastic day. I booked the trip for my class, so we were 27 people. Martin and the other guides were so nice and extremely professional and made sure we felt safe the whole trip. Before the day of the activity, I spoke with Martin to sort everything out, since we were so many people, but it was so nice and everything went so well. All of my classmates were very satisfied with the day, and even though they were sceptic of biking 40-50km, everyone said it was the best day they had of the days we were in Prague. It was very fun to get outside Prague and experience the beautiful nature surrounding it. I highly recommend doing this activity.

Amazing experience! I recommend Martin because it's an excellent guide and do everything to make you feel comfortably! The trip was amazing, with beautiful scenarios and bike was perfect! I have a lot of funny and I am satisfied!

Wonderful way to see the Czech countryside and get some exercise. Our guide Dominika was professional and personable. Bikes were high quality. Beer tasted great.

I am glad that I joined the biking tour with Martin. Martin is a very interesting knowledge guide. The gear provided was easy to use and well equipped. The biking tour is an extraordinary experience for me to see Prague surrounding scenery. We passed by villages and had the chilling local lunch. I get to see another side of Prague that I like the experiences very much!!

We had a blast!!

Highly recommended! This was a really great day! The bike ride along the country side was really fun and the beer and food at the end of the ride was a game changer! Martin is a really awesome person and was really helpful from start to finish. He picked us up, and dropped us off at our apartment, and the bikes he uses are top of the line, which makes riding though the country side super fun. We took a few different breaks for water and drinks, and to see the Castle as well. Even though there were a few areas to go uphill, overall the routes Marin has hand picked are beautiful and ridable by almost anyone with some basic physical abilities. Martin also gave us recommendations for places to eat in Prague and even helped make reservations for us at one place for the evening after the ride. Having a small group was also huge, so we got to know everyone by the end of the day.

Great bike ride!!

Martin did a great job! Great route, lunch, beer, narration led to a really fun day! This is not a ride in the park, it’s a 25 mile workout which is exactly what we wanted.

<p>Nice to see the Czech countryside on bikes. The ride was moderate- 25 miles or so on excellent mountain bikes. The castle was beautiful. The lunch and beer were excellent. Fun train ride home. Martin was knowledgeable and friendly and gave us some great tips on what to see and do and where to eat in Prague.</p>

Amazing tours to see Praha in a new light!

So amazing!! I went on two trips with them-the rafting trip and the bike trip and they were both so beautifully executed. It was a small group with two guides (both named Martin!) who were local Czechs but spoke flawless English. Here are the details: Pick-up: they picked me up from my hotel, came inside and found me, were very personable, and punctual! Gear: they provided me with everything I needed! For the rafting tour, there was a life jacket and a dry bag, and for the bike tour, I had a bike, helmet, and a day pack included. Tour itself: Rafting-you can do this even if you're just a beginner. They give you all the instruction and the guide got in my canoe to help me steer-because I needed it :). We stopped for a great authentic czech meal in a small village and then caught a train back to town after. Bike tour-i did the castle (Karlstejn) and brewery tour which is approx 50km total. I've never biked more than 3mi before (and this is approx 30 mi) and i was terrified but the guides were so so awesome and supportive. It wasnt terribly hilly but when we had an uphill area and i slowed down, there was always a guide with me making sure I was ok. There were plenty of breaks along the way and even some options about which path we could take. The ride itself was beautiful along the river and up to the castle. We ended at a brewery with lunch included and Martin came and picked us up from the brewery after (though there is an option to bike to the train station). HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Drop-off: also back to my hotel!! How awesome after being exhausted. The group: small groups! There were only 2-3 of us, which made the tours customizable and personable. The guides: cannot speak more highly of Martin & Martin (haha, same names!!). I was traveling alone and they made me feel so at home. They gave me recs for what to do later that night and even called restaurants and booked reservations for me. Both the guys made me feel like I have lifelong friends in Praha and if I come back, I'll definitely hang out with them. Overall rec: MUST DO! Reasonable price, amazing people, fabulous way to see a new city. I'm not usually this active on vacations but am so happy I found explore-adventure trips Prague !!

<p>Martin was a wonderful guide! We biked to the castle and then on to the brewery. I was worried the ride might be too difficult for me because I am a little chubby and out of shape. However, I made it just fine! I would recommend you wearing padded bike shorts if you are picky about your bike seat- they are top notch bikes but obviously, it isn't possible to have 10 different seats to choose from. The brewery was fantastic with some of the best food I had for our entire trip to Prague. I would highly recommend this tour!</p>

מומלץ בהחלט!!!

היינו שני זוגות, אני והחבר שלי חובבי רכיבת אופני הרים ולא מחובבי הקניות, כך שהחלטנו לנצל יום אחד בו אנחנו נשרוף קלוריות עם אופניים בזמן שהן, בנות זוגנו, ישרפו כסף בקניות. בחרנו טיול פרטי עם מדריך אופניים מקסים, בחור מקומי, בשם מרטין. לפני הטיול הוא אסף אותנו מהלובי של המלון וישב איתנו כמה דק' עם מפה לתיאום ציפיות. לאחר מכן נסענו עם הרכב שלו ו-3 זוגות אופניים לטיול אופני הרים במשך כ-6 שע', 50 ק"מ ו-700 מ' טיפוס מצטבר (וכ-2000 קלוריות...😉) בשבילי אופניים XC, קצת סינגלים וקצת כבישים לא עמוסים מידי, דרך יערות בשלכת, טירה מקסימה, עיירות חמודות שלא היינו מגיעים אליהם בלי טיול האופניים קונדיטוריה, שתי מבשלות בירה וארוחת צהריים (הבירה והמנות העיקריות הן חלק מה"דיל").יש לציין כי ניתן לשנות את הטיול בהתאם לרמת המשתתפים בו והחשק...נניח טיול משפחתי קצר וקל יותר או רכיבת כביש...מרטין זורם. לא כ"כ זול (118 יורו לאדם... עבור 27 ק"מ זה היה 110 יורו לאדם) אבל בהחלט שווה... בתמונה ניתן לראות אותנו מצד ימין, ואת מרטין קיצוני שמאלי (כאילו אי אפשר נחש...😆) במבשלת בירה. הטלפון שלו (זמין לנייד רגיל או ואטאפ 420733645200+)

Une bonne promenade de santé!

Une journée très agréable dans la nature, pour changer de la vieille ville de Prague superbe mais fatigante. On ne prend le vélo que quand on est sortis de la ville pour rouler en toute sécurité d’abord le long de la Vltava et la Berounka , jusqu’à Karlstejn - une merveille qui ne surgit qu’au tout dernier moment !- , puis dans l’arrière pays plus vallonné jusqu’à la micro- brasserie … Nous étions 2 couples de touristes pour 2 accompagnateurs jusqu’à Karlstejn, puis seuls jusqu’à la micro-brasserie (l’autre couple pouvant regagner Prague par train quand bon lui semblait à partir de Karlstein), c’est dire si on était bien encadrés ! Les deux guides sont à la fois professionnels (attentifs à vous sur votre vélo…) et très sympathiques ; Martin s’exprime même un peu en Français. A savoir pour ne pas être déçu: si on choisit d’aller jusqu’à la micro-brasserie, on n’a pas le temps de faire la visite de l’intérieur du château. Si vous voulez tout faire, prévoyez une demi- journée par activité, puisque le prestataire le propose. A savoir aussi : la deuxième partie du trajet dans l’arrière pays monte quand même « un peu », quoiqu’en disent les sportifs comme mon mari …Mais j’y suis arrivée, et sans mon vélo électrique.. car Jan était très attentif à me laisser aller à mon rythme. Le plus dur sera de reprendre le vélo après le bon repas à la micro-brasserie, et la bière ! A notre prochain voyage, c’est déjà décidé, nous faisons la journée en canoë avec Martin!
