Best of Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland Day Trip from Prague- Hiking Tour

Excellent tour, highly recommend it!

We had a day tour from Prag and really enjoy it. Paul, our driver is very nice and funny, excellent driver. Ondrej was the tour guide very knowledgeable about the places very caring for the group safety. Ondrej’s English is excellent, he also is so fluency in Spanish. We had a great time and enjoy so much the natures. There are enough snacks for the day of hiking and lunch is more than perfect ❤️Highly recommend this tour to friends and families!

Exceptional, in all categories.

Exceptional tour from start to finish. Very knowledgable and friendly guides. The hikes themselves were exactly as described - fairly easy going to moderate generally, but with the freedom to go at your own pace. The scenery itself was beautiful and well-described. We never once felt rushed nor did we ever linger too long - the pace was perfect. Plenty of snacks for the minibus rides and lunch was very good. We were initially dubious as to whether we would see value from the admission, but we were so wrong. A solid 10/10, couldn’t recommend more.

Knowledgeable, well-prepared, considerate guides and spectacular scenery

My 18-year old niece and I LOVED Czechia overall, but one of the highlights for both of us was our Bohemia and Saxon Switzerland tour. Our guides and driver were knowledgeable, well-prepared, and considerate. Not only did we see some gorgeous scenery, but we also learned about the geology of the sites we visited, got an education about wildfires in Czechia, ate some great food, and spent the day with interesting people (both guides and our fellow travelers). I am not in great physical shape--I can walk a long time on flat ground, but one of the stops on this tour requires walking up a long hill (for about 40 minutes). The guides never made me feel ashamed of my pace. They ensured we took adequate water breaks and kept us entertained during each rest stop. It was a wonderful day! I would absolutely recommend this tour and would sign up for it again if I am ever fortunate enough to return to Czechia.

Great destination, well organized, excellent guides.

This was a very well organized and executed tour. The driver and the guide (Monika and Joseph) were professional and fun. We liked that there was not really too much driving, only about 1.25 hrs to get to our first destination, and the information provided during the drive was interesting and useful. Be aware that there is a fair amount of walking involved on this tour! It is not exactly "hiking" per se as the terrain where we walked was easy, but you will walk a lot, climb stairs, and will walk up and downhill. The lunch stop was great and we were well taken care of. We were given plenty of snacks and water during our trip, which was very handy. Happy to have done this tour!!

Outstanding excursion to gorgeous sites

Fabulous trip. Guides and drivers were extremely helpful. The tours were amazing. They had plenty of water and snacks and the lunch was at a Golf Club. They altered our tour based on the desires of the group. Extremely flexible and knowledgeable. I HIGHLY recommend this tour. The only comment is that the hike to the Arch is difficult. It should be classified as “difficult” not moderate. The rest is very doable.

Had a great time. Hikes were definitely not on the easy side. Beautiful parks and tour guide Joseph was great and very informative.

The entire tour was fantastic. Our family of three, including our 5-year-old, had everything arranged by Marina and Jakub in a way that was convenient for all of us. Even after the trip, my son missed the whole group, reflecting how thoroughly enjoyable the experience was. 😁

Great day in Prague

This was a long day but a great trip. The guide Ondra was great and worked well with the group. Juraj was a good driver. The hike to the natural bridge had more elevation than expected but Ondra allowed us to take our time. I was impressed that everything included was everything including restroom fees. Only out of pocket was the tip.

Awesome.

It was a memorable experience. The travel was comfortable and the tour guide have all the information about the places we were visiting. The selection of site is excellent and we cherished each moment as we visited the places. I wanted to mention the names of the hosts but can't remember their names. Awesome people. And yes the schnitzel in complimentary lunch was also the best one we had in our entire trip.

Although it was cold and rainy, it was stoll an Awesome experience. Very beautiful, and Joseph was an excellent guide, and I would definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed this day trip out of the city! The scenery and views were beautiful and our guide, Joseph was fantastic. He was very personable and shared a lot of information about local history, culture and nature.

If you do one day trip from Prague, do this one

This was the best guided tour I've ever done. Our wonderful guide Joseph was warm and friendly from the off as they picked us up from our hotel. The transport was a well kitted out minivan with all the mod cons and water and plenty of snacks! Joseph was extremely knowledgeable as he gave us information on the local history, culture and language lessons and as he studied geology had incredible knowledge of the rock formations we saw throughout the day. The lunch was out of this world, we got to choose from a range of traditional meals and nobody was disappointed. The food and hospitality were five star. I would definitely recommend this trip for anyone visiting Prague looking for a top day out. We saw some stunning landscapes you really have to see to believe. I will add, note that this is a HIKING tour, and there is a lot of hiking... its interspersed with driving but we still managed over 20,000 steps! Worth every step for those views!

Awesome tour and great views

This was one of the best guided experiences that I've ever had. Joseph, our guide, was well versed with the english language and was able to give elaborate explanations to all the sights and phenomena we saw. The food was great (get the potato bacon dumplings if you can), there were plenty of opportunities to go to a restroom and we got to see places you would probably else never see. Even though the weather wasn't the greatest for us, the whole tour was great and the photos turned out very well. Can definetly recommend this tour.

My husband and I have a great time. The sights were spectacular. Also, the guide Anna was amazing. We went on three hikes, with the final hike the most challenging. So save your energy for the end. The first two are warm ups!

I made it to the top with encouragement!

My husband and I went on the hike on April 8 2024. Our guide was Anna who was amazing! I highly recommend this adventure. We saw wonderful views and ate local trout (I think from the river where we took a 20 minute boat ride). Overall the hike was somewhat challenging, but i made it to the top with a lot of encouragement from my husband, our guide, and fellow hikers.

Enchanting Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland Day Trip

Our day trip was fantastic! Joseph led us on a medium-level hike with stunning views. His insights into the region's history and nature added depth to the experience. From hidden caves to panoramic vistas, every moment was magical. Highly recommended!

This trip was awesome!! Joseph and Monica were amazing hosts with a very streamlined operation. The hike wasn’t too strenuous, views were great despite it being a cold, windy day, and the traditional Czech lunch was a great addition of culture for the trip. It was filling and delicious! This trip was amazing, our tour guide Joseph was an absolutly amazing guy and the driver Pavol was lovely and very talkative. The views were outstanding and Joseph was very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. Our lunch was amazing and all snacks were provided. I will certainly be returning to do more trips with these guys x.

Incredible tour!

This was a fantastic tour, well worth the money. Our guide Joseph was so knowledgeable about both the landscape and the history of Czechia. They took us to an awesome lunch and the transportation was so convenient. Super great value!

Fantastic trip and worth the money

This was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend it. Our driver Paul was very friendly and funny and our guide Josef was also extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. We took a trip to the Bastei Bridge and various other parts of the vast National Park. The park is stunning and definitely worth the visit. We were picked up directly from our hotel at around 7am and returned to our hotel at around 7pm. Snacks and water are provided throughout the day and two refreshing beer pit stops were much needed in the hot weather! The authentic Czech cuisine we had close to the Czech-German border was very nice and was the most delicious food we had during our stay in Prague. I was slightly disappointed this wasn't more of a hike as was advertised. However, I suppose that makes the trip great for all ages. All in all, it was a fantastic trip and I would highly recommend travelling to the Bohemian Swtizerland National Park with Uniline!

Amazing day away from the city.

Had such a great day away seeing all the beautiful sites and learning a lot from our amazing tour guide Joesph. Would highly recommend giving this trip a go to split up your city break. And shout out to our amazing driver Monika.

Spectacular

When visiting Prague take a day from the city and take this tour. Anna ouu guide is top notch... the trip into Germany was breaking...

Exceeded expectations in every single way!! Our guides could not have done anything more to improve our experience. Definitely the highlight of our trip and most memorable day. Hikes are a little more strenuous than described but we loved the challenge. Others may not.

The sandstone rock formations were unique & amazing to see. Incredible views at every stop. Our lunch was fantastic & the van was comfortable to ride in. The entire experience went so smoothly & was a big highlight of our European trip. Highly recommend!

A must-do day trip for the active traveler

Loved getting the chance to see the unreal views atop the peaks of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains in the park. Both of our guides, Joseph and Andrew, were EXCELLENT, and really helped us learn more about the area and encouraged us on the strenuous uphill hike. Be ready for a workout, and a great meal at the end.

The day was well planned and our tour guides , Mickey and Paul were super nice . Wanted to have a day outside city worked out very well! Thought hiking would be a little more challenging though. It was a nice walk day . Nothing too strenuous

FUNTASTIC Tour!

It was the best hiking experience ever! All of the 3 tour guides (Ondrej, Josef and Paul) were very knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with! The locations we visited were absolutely amazing and not far away from eachother, therefore we had a nice full program. We also had some good laughs during the day :-). 100% FUN guaranteed.

Adventure Trip

The views were amazing and in line with what i had heard about the area. The sites we visited were lovely and the guide was very knowledgeable about the areas. Thank you, Martin, for your great knowledge and making it an enjoyable trip. We did the Narnia option (rock formations) loved it!! A very professional organisation and happy to recommend to anyone.

Great trip with very knowledgeable guides - Josef and Paul knew so much about the geography and history of the national park, learnt a lot. The snacks and lunch were excellent and plentiful. Highly recommend it.

Brilliant way to see breathtaking scenery

Brilliant walking tour. Miky our guide and Monika our driver were both lovely. There were 6 of us on the tour (3 couples), we all got picked up separately, and all fitted comfortably in the van/bus. The drives between locations weren't too long. Our snacks and drinks were constantly being topped up. And lunch was delicious (best goulash and dumplings I've tasted while I've been here, and I've tried many). Best of all, the scenery and landscapes were just breathtaking! One of the walks was a bit challenging, but easily within our average fitness level. Besides, you'll enjoy your lunch even more if you feel like you've worked for it. While we always do a city walking tour and E-bike tour of the surrounds when we holiday in a new place, we didn't think we would be into all day group things. This was our first, and if we can find similar small group 8-12 hour tours, we'll do them on the strength of how much we enjoyed this one. 10/10

Amazing views in the Bohemian countryside and mountains

We went on a guided trip in July with two magnificent guides/drivers, and four other hikers (Mexican and Korean). We liked the trip very much, because it was so well planned from the tour guide's side. Many nice details to learn about the landscape, the history of the countries (Czech Republic and Germany), from all times in history. From ancient, to medieval times, to modern times (including WW2 and communism era). The price also included food, and we had several dishes to choose from so that was also very nice. The guides are very attentive to your well-being and will take good care of you. Only downside was that two of the other hikers were really ill during the tour, so we got infected afterwards. The company should maybe have a "No disease"-policy, but that is hard to enforce. 5/5, and would recommend this as a side quest from just watching Prague city; you will not regret this! The guides wanted to go to Norway, and they are welcome to visit us in Oslo! Cheers from Henrik and Elsa

See the wonderful natural beauty of the Czech Republic

When I planned to go to Prague…I knew very little about the country (Czech Republic) or what to see. I knew I wanted to see more of the country other than just Prague. One part of my process is to look on Viator for potential options. This tour looked interesting. My wife went back and forth on whether to do it or not. I won and we booked it…not really knowing what to expect. It turned out to be on the highlights of our trip. It is a break from the city, the churches and the museums. You go to three locations in national parks and go on three 1 hour hikes to great sites. The first offers some beautiful scenery and a great bridge. The second walks you through a forest to a sandstone arch. At the top you have excellent views of the sounding area. A part of your walk is through the area that was it by a wild fire, so you can see the destruction caused by it. The last stop is a rock garden. Which is also a fun experience. Not only is it a trip of nature you get a traditional Czech meal from a local hotel/restaurant. It may be a bit pricey. But there are no hidden fees. Lunch is paid for, you’ll have all the water and snacks you need, they even cover the washroom costs. The tour guides were great. We merged with an other tour. But our guide, Ondra was great. He was very passionate in his story telling and really was excited to tell stories about what we were seeing. He was also helpful in taking pictures of my wife and I.

Great tour!

Micki was a great guide! He was engaged and had plenty of knowledge to share. It's also worth mentioning that Patrick was a safe and comfortable driver, which makes the whole trip a pleasure. The small group size and Micki's attentive nature, meant the whole trip felt tailored to our needs. Definitely recommended!

A must do tour

This day trip was amazing. Our guide Martin was excellent. Breathtaking scenery, guide very friendly and informative. Only 6 of us on our tour (we are a family of 4) which meant that Martin not only described the locations but we were able to talk about a whole host of topics. Lunch menu/location very good. Didn’t feel rushed. Would highly recommend. Small things such as water and cereal bars in the minibus (early start) and Martin ensured we all had change to enter the toilets were nice touches
