Amazing day trip from Prague

The guides were amazing we slept through our alarms and they were very patient and understand. The lunch spot was spectacular delicious food, drinks and views. Count recommend this trip more great for friends or couples. A great way to celebrate our one year anniversary!!

Best Tour Ever!!

Our favorite day in the Czech Republic!

My husband and I traveled to Prague for 5 days and felt we needed a quieter day outside the city so we booked this day trip. It turned out to be our favorite day! Martin and Linda were incredibly welcoming and excited to share their knowledge and passion for wine, the vineyards, Czech history, and the smaller villages/countryside outside of Prague. 10/10 experience, if we ever come back we'll be sure to book it again or something similar with them.

Good trip with an excellent guide

We got a lot of interesting information about wine and the local countryside, visited wine cellar with amazing equipment as well as 2 different wineyards, also wine tasting was included, quality of wines was on a good level. It was already our second trip with Offroadsafari

This trip has it all, and I highly recommend it. A great friendly guide - Martin, good wine, beautiful countryside, fairytale scenery, castles, and nonetheless great food and beer at a cozy restaurant. David, who drove us to the winery from our hotel and back, was really nice and informative.

This was an awesome adventure. We were the only couple on our tour. Definitely recommend. The tour the history and the views were amazing.

A wonderful day in the country

We spent 6 wonderful hours with or tour guide, Paul. He spent time explaining wine making and bottling, answering all of our questions. After tasting a few varieties we went to the actual vineyards, with more history and descriptions. We were taken into the countryside for lunch before returning. Thanks, too, to our driver, Nikolai, who took us safely to and from our hotel. If you have a free day in Prague, don't miss this opportunity.

Delightful day trip filled with surprises

This was an absolutely delightful day full of surprises, gorgeous scenery, history lessons, laughs, delicious wine, beer, and food, and new friends. Our tour guide Martin felt like an old friend shortly after meeting him, and he did an excellent job tailoring our experience to our wants, needs, and interests. David, who drove us to the winery from our hotel and back, was also delightful. I highly recommend this trip, and I hope many more people get to know how wonderful of a tour guide Martin is.

Fantastic way to spend a day!!

Fantastic wine tour. Great scenic tour. Wonderful guide. Absolutely great way to spend a day. We enjoyed the tour and the history lessons and the guides ability to tailor our experience to our interests.

Excellent Elysian tour of Bohemia

We were 4 girls who were really looking forward to this wine tour and right from the pick up by David to the tour with Martin, everything was absolutely splendid! The excellent wines were just the cherry on the cake. David was super sweet and accommodated our request for gas station coffee as well. We had a lovely drive to the winery with great conversations with David. After reaching we were welcomed by Martin who was an absolute sweetheart as well. Not only did he give us more than enough information on the wines, he also told us a bit about Bohemia and the landscape and the castles in the region. After the winery, Martin stocked 2 bottles of the wines we liked and drove us around showing us beautiful vineyards and the scenery. He also gladly stopped at picturesque locations and indulged us by taking the best pictures and videos of our experiences. He even made us the most epic reel! Afterwards we had authentic Czech food and beer at the nearby bar and even more wonderful conversations with Martin. He even stored water and chocolate biscuits for us to nibble on. Our Day tour was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend off road safari for this boozy wine tour. Not being a fan of white wine, I absolutely loved some of the wines at Johann W winery and even bought a couple of bottles back home. Definitely add this tour to your travel plans when you’re in Prague next. You will come back a bit tipsy and with the best photos (thanks to Martin)!

A great experience!

We very much enjoyed the wine tasting and tour of the barrels. The winery is beautiful. The tour of the countryside was beautiful. Lunch was delicious in a quaint cozy restaurant. Our tour guide Martin was friendly and gave very good details and tour of the countryside. Everything was great - - would have liked to spend a little more time at the winery as opposed to the time in the countryside since the weather wasn’t the greatest and since the winery was very beautiful.

Unexpected great tour

We booked this as Prague Castle was closed due to EU Summit. I could of not been more pleased. You go to only one winery but the wine was very good. I bought 2 bottles to use during out trip. You go up into the Vineyard, get a history lesson and see parts of the country side that you may of never seen. To top it off it includes a wonderful, relaxed lunch at a beautiful, cozy restaurant.

Delicious wine, medieval castles, yummy lunch all under stormy sky…

Stormy weather added to the entire ambiance, and Peter our guide was a great host and guide. The winery specializes in white wines and has a few reds.

Martin was an excellent and friendly guide. All the wines were excellent. The vineyards that we visited were absolutely beautiful. Wonderful views of the countryside.

Excellent Bohemian countryside tour

What a wonderful way to spend a day out of the city life of Prague; a winery tour and tastings, vineyards, beautiful countryside with ancient castle views, the best table in the restaurant for an abundant Czech lunch and cold beers. Perfect day with wine

Guided trip with Offroadsafari.cz I recommend to all who want to taste Czech wine in the wonderful winery Johann, travel with the terrain car along the vineyards, with a lot of interesting things about the Czech Central Mountains. Great day, great people, excellent wine and in the vineyards we tasted grape wine in a huge amount.

Private Winery Tour

We were the only 2 on our wine tour in February of the Johann W winery in NW Bohemia. We started off with a tour of the wine making facilities that are very modern. The staff was very helpful at not only answering questions about their process, but also discussing recent history with winemaking in the region and the new efforts post communism. Martin was incredibly knowledgeable not just about wine and this vineyard, but was so open with us about the long history in the region. He was able to point out cool geographic features, and landmarks like the many medieval castles. The tour also showed us a facinating Jewish cemetary which taught us about the effects of WW2 on the area. Martin mentioned other tours he has around these topics. We finished our day at a local restaurant that could support our gluten free and vegetarian diets, while specializing in traditional Czech food. Totally this experience to see the countryside and history outside of Prague.

Winery tour and vineyard country side tour.

Truly enjoyed the day. Very relaxed and informative. The Sommelier is very knowledgeable and the guide was versed in the history and culture of the area and country. Beautiful and enlightening. Panning for Red Garnnet was a fun way to end the day.

An Inredibly Fun Day

The wine tour wasn't like any other we have been on. We didn't visit as many wineries, although we did get to visit the countryside and experience the area. Lunch was fabulous and we had a great day learning about the wines and countryside in the Czech Republic.

Great day, great guide, great value

Paul our guide was excellent. He knows the region, the wine, and how to tell great stories! Our group really enjoyed the day. Highly recommended if you want to get out of the city to drink wine, see the countryside, castles, and vineyards.

Well Worth the time!

Our wine tour was such an enjoyable experience. The vehicles and drivers were very nice, the tour guides were fun to be with, easy to listen to, and very knowledgeable. We were able to see areas of the Czech Republic that we would not have on our own, we tasted and learned about some really nice wines, we got a bit of history information included which was wonderful, and we had an exceptional lunch. The tour was paced very well, with breaks, snacks, and activities throujghout. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Great tour, beautiful scenery

Overall, this was a wonderful tour. It was great to get out of Prague and see the countryside, which was beautiful. The scenery is amazing and our guide (Paul/Pavel) was excellent. A bit too heavy on the wine information (to my personal interests), but those who love wine and want to learn a ton about it, will be very pleased.

Great experience at Bohemian countryside!

We had such an amazing day! We tasted fine wine, visited some historic landmarks and two vineyards where we had the opportunity to taste the grapes and had a lovely 3-course dinner with a fun group of people! The organisers were very informative, friendly and overall amazing! It was a great experience and I highly recommended it to anyone visiting the area!

We had a great time during our tour. Paul offered great incite into not only the grape growing and wine making process and the history of the area, but even more fascinating was the glimpse into life in the Czech Republic during and post communist period. Great stories from his personal and professional experience. A terrific day, the wine and food were great. A really great and memorable experience!

Amazing trip with Offroadsafari

I have only good experience with Offroadsafari. My boyfriend and I were already on two expeditions, and it was always a great day. This time we were on a tour of the vineyards and the Czech countryside. Our guide told us a lot of interesting information about the wine we tasted and about the surrounding countryside. He answered every question we could think of. Thank you for a nice day and lots of new information. We will definitely come again.

Fantastic day!

We had a fantastic full day out on this tour ( 10am - 4pm) and highly recommend it if you enjoy fine wine, learning about history and being in the beautiful countryside with great food and the company of like-minded people. Vlastamili ( apologies for spelling) and Pavel were such knowledgable and attentive guides who made the day such an enjoyable experience. We began at the winery and tasted our first wine ( always good when you begin with the tasting and learn the process after!) and enjoyed seeing how this fairly new winery operates. We then sat down and enjoyed a wine tasting of their other wines culminating in being driven by a 4x4 vehicle to the vineyard. The views were beautiful and it gave us a chance to see the real Czech countryside including a castle and hear about the geography of this area. Later we returned to the winery for a lovely 3 course lunch and after visited a further vineyard and Jewish cemetery. Extremely beautiful and peaceful area. We tasted wild cherries and grapes from the wine and left all smiles having enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Thank you so much V and P, you’re both wonderful people, we will have fantastic memories of this day forever.

Awesome Tour with Pavel

We had a wonderful tour with our guide Pavel. The winery was beautiful and the restaurant was great. Beautiful grounds and wonderful food. Pavel took us in the 4x4 and we went off road to see the vineyards. Pavel stopped along the way to show us the local fruits growing on trees and we tasted them all. The vineyards were beautiful - in the shadow of a 16th century castle - and tucked away in one of them was an old Jewish cemetery that we visited. The countryside was beautiful! Pavel was a wonderful guide - you could see his passion for wine making and the vineyards. Last but not least he took us to where there were garnets in an old stream and we got a tiny sample of those beautiful gems. It was a great and interesting tour - loved it!! Would highly recommend!

Best tour in Prague

Best tour in Prague! We loved the places that were included in the tour and the 4x4 orange SUV. The tour is for small groups, but that day the only two persons on the tour were my husband and I, so it was awesome. Pavel was very knowledgeable of the vineyards around Prague. He was very attentive. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We really enjoyed this tour and recommended it to anyone.

A must do!

Amazing and knowledgeable guide. Martin was so kind and was able to answer all of our questions. He took us around the beautiful countryside and let us stop whenever we needed for pictures. Plenty of opportunities for wine and snack tasting and a tasty lunch as well. This tour made our trip. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to get our the hustle and bustle of Prague and enjoy the scenery.

Fun Tour

we had a great day on this wine country tour. Amazing scenery and wonderful guide. Beautiful winery. We even got to see how to find rubies in the stream close by. We left the winery and went on a short tour of the area. Lots of fun. thank you

New friends and great wine!

We spent an absolutely WONDERFUL day with some very special people. Vlastimil, Jane and Stan! They were the awesome tour guides for this adventure. They were super knowledgeable about the area. We even got to search for garnets. The winery was fantastic and educational, with a very nice restaurant. But the best part really were our new friends. I'd recommend any one of them individually, but as a group they were so much fun! My sister and I were on a sister trip, and they so completed it! I'll also say, of the tours we did this was the only one with a female guide. I really liked that. And they even took pictures of the day and sent them on to us via email!

Bohemian Wime Tour

As a wine lover, one of the best tours I’ve been on. Down to earth, real and local - and who knew GREAT Czech wine 40 minutes outside of Prague. We lucked out and had Martin the owner as our tour driver - best 5 hours I’ve spent on a tour ! Lunch at Johann Winery with somelier providing tour prior to visit actual vineyards. A very personal and educating tour. Learned about the country side along with vineyards, and wine making - history of Bohemia as well ! Worth every penny ! Put it on your list !

Great day with Vlastimil

We had a great day touring the Johann W Winery with Vlastimil. He is a great guide and took us to the vineyards and to the old Cemetery and also stopped off at a local pub for a beer and some dessert. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a day outside of Prague. P.S. the wine was excellent.....can't wait to crack open a bottle!

FANTASTIC DAY

We had a great time with Martin at Off Road Safari. He was so friendly enthusiastic and professional. We loved the orange jeep too! We met at Johann W winery (as we were staying near there) and got a full tour, visited the cellars and learnt all about the sorting, pressing, fermenting, storing and bottling. They paired 5 wines with food followed by a gorgeous 3 course lunch. We then went to several beautiful locations, including the plum railway, and castle. Amazing views in the beautiful bohemian Switzerland. Highly recommended day trip.

Great wine and food

We were picked up on time and driven to a vineyard where we met our guide, Vlastik . He was very nice and knowledgeable and introduced us to our wine tour guide. The winery is beautiful, the tour done very professionally and the wine itself was surprisingly good. After a big breakfast, we wanted a late lunch and they were very happy to accommodate us. After seeing one of the vineyards, we were taken to a spot where we could pan for garnets in the creek. My boys loved this bit the most and could have happily sat their all day! The lunch was also very tasty. We all had a lovely day and look forward to receiving the pictures that Vlastik took.

Wonderful way to see the countryside and meet the locals

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Vlasta! We loved learning about the local winery and the local coulture. The tour was very customizable so we were able to focus on the aspects of the area that were most interesting to us. The wines are all delicious and the meal was quite delicious. Our driver was also very friendly and had great Prague suggestions.

Martin provided history of the region along with intricacies of its rich heritage. The wine was quite good. We highly recommend this excursion!
