1 hour Prague Panoramic Vltava River sightseeing Cruise

Definitely a must while in Prague.

Beautiful cruise with informative narration of the city. Great drinks and crew definitely recommend. The prices of the drinks were very reasonable. Whenever we go to a city we always go on the water it’s such a beautiful way to see it differently.

Enjoyable

This was a relaxing way to learn a little about Prague and to see some areas from a different point of view.

Not worth it.

The trip was sold as an hours river cruise, we left the dock at 5.15 and we’re back at dock at 5.45. 30 minute cruise, we queued for longer. Don’t bother.

Budget friendly and well run boat tour

Decided on the day to go on this boat tour as the weather was sunny. Staff checked tickets prior boarding and was very efficient. On board there was a selection of food and drinks, I had a beer and enjoyed the 1hr cruise.

Ok but not as sold

A45 minute boat trip not an hour as sold. Boat clean and commentary good if a little behind. If I’d researched better I would have gone with a smaller boat

One hour river tour

An easy, no stress, one hour tour. Very enjoyable and a great way to see many important city highlights.

Very relaxing and punctual.

Very soothing journey. Not too long and not too short. It was perfect. A great way to get a little education on the history of Prague.

No value for money

The boat was clearly overbooked. We got on in time but had no sitting space left except inside where we couldn't sit anyway because there was no air and no airconditioning. We had to stand. The audio commentary was dependant om wifi, the signal of which was very weak in the spot where we had to stand. Furtheremore, there was very little commentary and most of the sail it was silent. All in all, very little value for money.

Room for improvement

There was a large group in line with no tickets. The non ticketed group should have been instructed how or where to buy tickets while waiting in the line rather than holding everyone up buying when boarding. Refreshments on board were cash only in Czech money. This was not mentioned on the website. We could not hear much of the information coming from the speaker. Fortunately the views were lovely.

Nice boat trip but Viator should “meeting place” from website as I used this address for Uber and ended up miles from river departure point.

I enjoyed the cruise...calming experience, relaxing and guide explained everything we seen in detail. I wouldn't say it's must do but it was very nice to break up the day

Short ride, couldn't actually hear the speaker, there were so many people around me, including the person in front of me who was blowing cigarette smoke in my face.

Classic River Sightseeing

Really enjoyed the trip. Lots of information given over the speaker about various buildings and the bridges. Snacks and drinks were available at a reasonable price.

Super trip

The most impressive part of the trip was to see the castle and cathedral on the hill and to go under the Charles Bridge with the statues silhouetted again the sky.

Excellent sightseeing trip, very smooth and no issues with the booking. All I would say is the loudspeaker giving out the information needed to be 25% louder as very hard to hear the commentary.

It was a relaxing cruise with explanations of buildings along the way. Waiters offered nice service of drinks and food.

Great trip down the river. Commentary was clear and interesting. Service was good. Just get there early to get a good seat.

Must do in Prague

It was a beautiful trip. Try to book the evening one so you get the beautiful evening sun to take pictures. Also, make sure you check the tickets for the meeting point and not the main page. We ended up going to the wrong place on the day of the boat ride. However, they were kind enough to let us use the tickets for next day! It was so worth it!

Boat cruise

We ordered drinks and once we had drank half, we were asked to pay. We got our cards out to be told they don’t take card payments, to then be told that they prefer cash and if we had any form of cash rather than card. We heard them saying the same to the table behind us and said they didn’t want to take a card payment. Think this should be made aware when booking or before ordering drinks if this is the case. It was rude The “guide” was just prerecorded over a speaker and didn’t match up to what we were looking at on the river. Wouldn’t recommend

Low quality cruise

Servers were rude and someone who sat next to me was smoking the whole time…I was hoping to leave the cruise right after I boarded.

Nice and quick

Nice and quick. Reach a bit early so you can get a good seat along the edge. Coffee and Apfelstrudel was good. It crosses 3 or 4 bridges and then takes a U-turn. The boarding process was smooth. The commentary was going in the background in low volume, perhaps only a few people listened to it. Good value for money.

Nice excursion in the river

Nice rooftop in boat. Just ashame there were no cocktails (could be an extra thing that could make the experience even better)

Bargain one hour cruise

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this cruise as it was so cheap but I was pleasantly surprised, a great hour cruise on the Vltava river at an absolute bargain price. The staff are all very friendly and the boarding / off boarding process was smooth, food and drink available onboard and unlike some tourist attractions the price was very reasonable. Commentary provided if you want to learn some information about some of the things you see but also you can just chill and enjoy.

I recommend them

Tour operators were very helpful and cooperative. I had fever, and wanted to return to hotel early. They very promptly preponed my tickets. I recommend them

Very good tour

Very good tour although the tour guide was very robotic. We’re able to purchase alcoholic drinks on the top deck.

Pleasant, polite, quiet commentary.

About a twenty minute walk along the river from Charles Bridge. Friendly multilingual staff. Some simple food and drink options. Tour starts from Pier 17 and travels to the weir and back past some key buildings. Couldn't hear the commentary - not enough speakers/too quiet. Wouldn't have known what I was looking at if not been on a similar cruise before. Enjoyable way to spend an hour or so though.

Absolutely brilliant and only 12 quid

What a fab way to spend an hour up and down the river in Prague. It beggars belief that people leave less than 5 star reviews for a tour, on a lovely boat with great service and very reasonable prices for food and drink. Absolute bloody bargain!

To short, didn’t enjoy…

The cruise was only 35 minutes, I understand the level of water was high…we can’t see to much because was a short distance…I expected be a long distance

Computer based commentary

Staff were super efficient when it came to boarding and serving food and drinks. The commentary was prerecorded with a computer based voice and this was disappointing. Would have been much nicer to have live commentary by a human.

Nice way to see the city....

Nice way to see the city. Relaxing and smooth ride. The 1 hour cruise goes by quite quickly but it was worth the trip

Nice River ride

Was a nice relaxing ride downriver on top deck. Chairs were a bit uncomfortable but the rest of experience was pleasant. Being able to order food and drink on a cold day made the trip more enjoyable. Would recommend as an alternative to seeing the sites from a different angle.

Good way to spend an hour

Good value- and great boat. Be aware that there are different excursions for the hour and we were expecting to go under the Charles Bridge and continue, but were taken in opposite direction. We had no auditory commentary as included in the booking which was disappointing

Skip this one

Maybe it was a bad day because of the rain but here's what happened. We booked last minute on line and I had a confirmation but never received the tickets for scanning. There were 2 different piers listed that were next to each other and each one had a boat that clearly was not going anywhere. Others were wandering around as confused as we were. We finally called and were told the name of the boat which we saw on the water returning from the previous hour. Nobody explained that we were getting on from a different pier that had a 'boat restaurant' we had to walk through but we finally figured it out. I showed the confirmation and they did not even have our names but they let us on. We sat in a crowded cabin at a table and because everyone was talking, we could not hear the narrative over the speaker which was also too soft. There was one waitress who skipped right over us so we never ordered drinks. It was a waste of an hour, skip it and pick another boat tour.

Perfect ending to our lovely holiday in Prague

We bought tickets on spec, from the little sentry type office located on the bridge, for a 1 hour cruise. We'd just missed one, so took a drink on the quay side at a friendly run tiny cafe. We departed from bay #4 onto a really nice modern boat with great seating on the top deck. They too offered a good selection of alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages. Commentary was very interesting. Certainly gave us a chance to appreciate more of Prague's lovely classic architecture and learn about it's history. Not sure that I'd like to try the suspended restaurant over the river that we saw, but many others clearly did! The sun was shining and it was a lovely, relaxing ending to a great holiday.

Very Worthwhile Cruise!

The cruise length was just right, and a great way to get different views of the amazing sights. The recorded comments were a bit hard to hear in the back of the boat but a very worthwhile trip. The top deck fills up first so go there for the best views!

Great Value for Money

Interesting tour of the river and very reasonably priced. Commentary comes in multiple languages. Very smooth ride and pleasant staff.

Nothing special

Boat was kinda small and cramped. There wasn't enough space for the feet. The speed was really slow and didnt feel like we we even in a boat and that it was moving. Also we couldnt hear the information from the speakers. Overall it was ok, but for the price of 15$ its not worth it.

Bummer

When I booked this I got no confirmation until 3 days before the trip so I booked with another company. I could not get ahold of anyone at TripAdvisor or find my booking anywhere to cancel therefore I was charged for a trip I did not get to go on. Very disappointed at the communication.

Fine river cruise. Yes it’s a recording but it does explain the sights clearly. Snacks and drinks were great!

Lovely river cruise! Perfectly functional - no frills! Homemade lemonade was decent. Recording was helpful and informative.

Won’t learn a thing from this cruise

Audio guide was played through speakers, between people talking and engines running couldn’t hear anything. Ship itself was pretty run down. I would not recommend this cruise, view is not much different than from the bridge.

Pretty view of the city

If your goal is just to see Prague from the river, this will fit the bill. If you want to learn about the cool things you will see- take a pass here. The prerecorded message in multiple languages doesn’t align. With where you are, there is not a guide to ask questions and there is very little shared.

Relaxing but mediocre

The narration was pre -recorded and poorly timed with the location of the boat. Often irrelevant and listening in five languages was tiring. The portion of the cruise where they played classical music was much better.

Good enough for the price…..

This is an affordable, quick one hour cruise that let’s you see a relatively short area of Prague. The narration is via a recording so doesn’t always match up with exactly where you are, but easy enough to figure it out. Boat is not in the best shape, but good enough for a one hour cruise. Although it appeared that they had drinks available for purchase, I did not observe that area open. Again, for the price it was fine but could have been enhance a bit more.

Worst Boat Tour Experience

We had tickets for the 3 pm tour and lined up 20 minutes before it was supposed to leave only to watch the 3 pm boat take off after taking only half the people who were in line. We waited an hour for the 4 pm tour for them to put a big tour group on board before the people who had waited in line for an hour and a half. On top of fighting among people trying to get onto the boat due to the bad situation this company put everyone in, the staff was rude and unhelpful the entire time (at one point yelling at the crowd to “shut up, you stupid people”), the boat tour itself was barely 40 minutes (taking off late and arriving early), the information is pre-recorded and poorly synced with the locations, AND the boat is cramped and rickety. Pay $5 extra for a good tour experience elsewhere that doesn’t ruin a good chunk of your afternoon.

Skip it

the boat is sup par and the staff were not welcoming. Boat was very oversold with limited seating. Prague is easy to walk around. I would skip the boat ride, go to pier 16 and just walk your own personal tour from there.

Cheap. but still not worth it

The boat looks (and feels) like it is falling apart. The tour-guide was a pre-recorded tape which didn't align with the timings of the trip - so for example we were being told about the history of the Charles Bridge whilst we were still 2 bridges away from it. One of the staff members was smoking a cigar on deck, which stank and I'm sure can't be legal. The boat was incredibly slow and really didn't go that far, we actually turned around about halfway between the Charles Bridge and the previous one. We subsequently walked the route by the river in no time at all. The ticketing is also silly, you pre-book but then have to queue with everyone else to receive your ticket so a chap can then tear them and wave you on. Aside from guaranteeing you a spot (which didn't seem necessary, it wasn't that full) there doesn't seem to be an advantage to pre-booking. Nice views and the information on the tape was interesting (and in lots of languages so almost anyone can go) but honestly you would be better walking the same route (it would take 10 minutes and the views are the same) and reading a book about Prague. I will say that it is only about £12.50 each which is a lot cheaper than I've done these boat tours for in other cities, but I still would not go again.
