Great experience! Well worth it

Great day trip! Our guideline was a wealth of information and an entertaining, funny guy! My son and I loved it. Great value. We saw a massive croc in his native habitat to top it off!

A full day of experiences and fun.

Felt like the whole tour was designed just for us. Cam’s knowledge, sense of humour and ability to make sure everyone was catered for was brilliant.

A great experience in nature and of the local produce

Matthew our tour guide had a significant amount of information about the Daintree plants, insects and animals. My daughter loves learning about nature and she learnt so much from this tour and was buzzing. The 10hr day went quickly and the small group made it a really enjoyable experience. The food was enjoyable but the settings made it amazing. I recommend swimming in the gorge. We came home energetic and she was so stoked she got to see a really big croc in the wild.. ending with local organic ice cream made it the perfect end to an awesome day!

Best Daintree experience!

110% would recommend this tour and ask to have Matthew if you can. He was incredibly knowledge about all aspects of the tour and extremely entertaining. Having a small group is much more personalised and so much more educational. Would definitely pick this tour again for anyone thinking about visiting the Daintree rainforest. Would recommend 100% and will be using Daintree Discovery Tours again!

Daintree Rainforest Full day Experience

We were collected from the caravan park in Mossman by Cam. We had a walking tour and through the Mossman Gorge followed by a scrumptious morning tea of damper scones at the Mossman Gorge information centre. Cams knowledge of the geography, flora and fauna was amazing. We then headed up to the Daintree River where we had a 1 hour cruise of the river spotting crocodiles. We saw 4 crocs including a recent hatchling. Across the river we then explored the Daintree Rainforest again accompanied by Cams knowledge of the flora and fauna. Lunch was delicious provided by the arranged venue followed by a walk or swim at the creek. On to Cape Tribulation for a quick history lesson and a further walk, then heading back with a quick stop at the Daintree ice cream farm. Overall a great day with many highlights and much information. Cam’s driving was excellent under trying circumstances due to road closures following landslides and floods.

Wonderful way to see everything this beautiful part of the world has to offer!

Great day!! We did the full day tour with our three teens. It was a great way to see the entire area. The Daintree is a very beautiful and very special place. Highly recommend!

Whole day Daintree discovery tour

The whole tour was amazing. Our guide, Cam was super friendly and had great knowledge of the area. The morning teal and lunch we had was delicious and great to stop at the icecream place on the way back. Would highly recommend the full day tour

Undecided? Take my word for it! "Abso-freekin-lutely"

The ice was broken right from the word GO! Mel was great, nothing was off limits. She had the whole tour group in fits of laughter all the while explaining the beautiful Far North and Daintree regions to us. Starting off at the Mossman Gorge we ventured into the lower Daintree expecting great views, and wow the views were more than great. Small morning tea consisting of Damper with Jam and Cream. Off we headed then to the Daintree River for our 1hr croc tour on the Daintree, crocs weren't guaranteed but we were delighted to see at least 7 crocs including the king of the Daintree "Scarface". Then it was back onto the bus and off for lunch and a swim followed by a peaceful walk. Honestly the tranquility of the Daintree is something else, and should be visited by everyone. But the tour didn't end there, we continued north to a secluded section of Cape Tribulation. Then the long journey home began, stopping off for some famous Daintree Icecream, and wow some of those flavours most people would turn their noses up on, I highly recommend stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something different. This then bought the tour to an end and our goodbyes were traded and well-wishes given for good holidays to come. If your looking for something to do in FNQ and the Daintree I can't recommend Daintree Discovery Tours enough. 😃😃😃

Fabulous day out exploring the Daintree region

This was a fabulous day out exploring the Daintree region. Our tour guide, Mel, was fantastic and made the day with her humour, friendliness and vast knowledge of the area. As we began the day early, we arrived at our destinations before any crowds. We had Mossman Gorge to ourselves, and also the swimming hole after lunch. The crocodile cruise was excellent, with our guide, Jed, able to give us heaps of interesting facts about the many crocs we saw. The day was full, however we were never rushed, and had more than enough time at each destination. The 8 other travellers on the bus were a great bunch, and we had a very memorable day out. We're so pleased to have chosen this company, and loved having Mel as our guide.

Wonderful trip with a lovely guide Mel

All around amazing trip with great views and wonderful people. The tour guide Mel gave great explanations for everything and added great commentary and jokes throughout the trip keeping everyone safe and happy.

Remarkable ecosystem

Every part of the trip was memorable, but, of course, seeing the crocodiles was a high point. And the walk through the forest, opening out to the coast was amazing. The forest itself would have been remarkable on it's own, but the transition between ecosystems was marvelous. Oh, and the stop for exotic ice cream at the end of the day was a good capper.

Amazing day out

I joined the full day tour as a solo traveller as an extension of a business trip. I was doubtful about the tour as I typically prefer my own company and debated whether I should explore on my own. I shouldn't have worried. Mick was an excellent guide, and his humour put our small group quickly at ease and helped us bond for the day. What's more, without Mick as our knowledgeable guide, I would have missed out on so much! His knowledge seemed endless and sparked a lot of curiosity. I have to brush up on my knowledge about James Cook when I'm back home! I thoroughly enjoyed his little anecdotes and was awestruck by what I learned. If you're like me and are unsure about group activities, I would say give this one a go. You will learn so much! Ask for Mick if you can!

An amazing day trip

Had an amazing day yesterday .Mick was the best tour guide, very knowledgeable and funny too! I was travelling solo but that didn’t matter he always made sure I was included I highly recommend this day trip well worth it

Absolutely beautiful

Me and my wife went on the full day tour. It was nothing but brilliant from the ranges, rivers, rainforest, Danetree cruise and meals we couldn’t have asked for more. Finally our guide/ drive Kim thank you your knowledge of the area was amazing keeping use all captivated the whole day.

Fully experienceing the DAINTREE region

My husband and I were delighted with the unique and varied glimpses of aboriginal welcome, swimming in a gorge, on a river to see crocodiles, the barramundi farm and lunch, concluding in an exclusive experience in a dense rainforest setting - eating tropical fruit and dipping into a waterfall setting. Throughout the day, our highly experienced guide Peer gave us insights into the history of the area - and vast knowledge of plants and forest life. This was a highlight of our holiday. We were picked up and dropped home - making it a stress free experience. Highly recommended.

A Funfilled day In The Daintree

Our Guide Mel did an amaizing job, her local knowledge was of a very high standard & she kept everyone interested. We had a really friendly small group of people of all ages. Mel also was excellent being able to include the kids, never once were they bored.The kids favourites were The swim, fishing & the Ceremony at the beginning. Thank you very much Mel

Bucket list

My first time in tropical Queensland and the Daintree was on my bucket list. This trip far exceeded expectations, great guide, river cruise where we saw 5 big crocs up close, fishing for barricuda and tasty lunch of the same. And more. Great all round experience

A really thorough tour with a great guide (Mel). Good value for you for money, each activity is worth doing. These tours are always made by the guide and ours was great.

Excellent Day Tour of the Daintree

This one day tour of the Daintree was everything we had hoped it would be. We saw a great deal on our tour without feeling rushed. Our guide, Mel, gave us a highly informative and often entertaining explanation of the unique plants and animals of this place and of its human history.

An amazing experience

This was an incredible day trip with spectacular views. Mel was our guide for the day and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Every part of this experience was lovely and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who would like to explore the Daintree rainforest.

A great all round tour of the Daintree and surrounds.

A fabulous tour. Kim was extremely knowledgeable and each stop was fantastic. We experienced Mossman Gorge, The Daintree river and rainforest and Cape Tribulation, with a great lunch and afternoon ice cream snack. Definitely recommend this tour.

Don’t second guess the tour

Mel was our guide and we couldn’t have hoped for a better person to show us around Far North Queensland us for the day. She was very entertaining and knowledgeable - she even knew why spiders were positioned upside down in their spider webs. Thanks and make sure you ask for Mel when you book this tour!

A Whole New World in Daintree!

We loved Mel, our guide, who was not only fun, but very informative, and got to know each of us. The river cruise was we'll done, but the wrong season for many Crocs. Mel took us through the Mossman Gorge and we really Loved it, so beautiful! And the boardwalks were nicely put together and maintained. The rainforest was one of the best we've seen, with many unusual plants. The river was incredibly wild. So glad we went!

A fun informative full day with tour with Mel

We did a full day private charter (small group) tour with Mel and it was fantastic. We were two families of four staying together and so having a van to ourselves was a lot of fun, and Mel was the best guide! Her fun and informative chats really enhanced the experience and we learned a lot more than if we'd tried to visit ourselves. We highly recommend this tour!

Great full day in the oldest rainforest in the world.

Amazing ancient rainforest with a well organised and informative guide. Mel was brilliant and very knowledgeable about the rainforest and is many inhabitants. Great sense of humour, kept us entertained all day. This was a ten hour trip that felt more like two hours and worth every dollar.

Very knowledgeable guide

The booking agent, Emily, provided great information to make sure we were on the correct tour. The guide, Matt, was extremely knowledgeable about different plant, animal, and bird species. The barramundi tacos were amazing!

Fabulous day tour in the Daintree with wonderful guide

We had such a fantastic time on this full day tour. We have 2 older teenage boys who can be difficult to entertain, but Mel did such an outstanding job of keeping them engaged and laughing! Thank you Mel for a wonderful day and apologies for the delay in our review! We are travelling in Japan at the moment and we have had some fantastic guides, but the boys still rate Mel the best yet!!

A great day out.

This was a great way to see all the sights in one day. Pick up was on time and it was great to meet others as I was solo. Time at various venues was limited and it would have been nice to soak things in a bit. Road condition played a part in this, but it was also a jam-packed itinerary. Morning tea and lunch was great and our driver and guide, Kim, was knowledgeable about the area as well as having a wealth of anecdotes to keep everyone interested.

Amazing!

Went on the 1pm daintree mossman gorge tour. Boat ride down the river, saw afew crocs and our tour guide was laid back and full of laughs. Then headed on a walk through the mossman gorge, which is breathtaking and finished off with a beautiful swim in the river. Highly recommend! Mick our daintree tour guide for the day was unreal, full of local knowledge and cracked afew jokes along the way. He’s a top bloke and made everyones experience so enjoyable. DO THIS IF YOU COME HERE!!

Great experience in the Daintree

This was a wonderful tour. Saw so many different environments. The gorge, the river, the beach, the boardwalk. Matthew was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the area including all the flora and fauna. He was able to see and point out even the smallest of animals. Matthew was so accommodating and even included some great photography tips. I would highly recommend the company and Matthew for a great day in the rainforest.

Everything we needed to see and more

The rainforest wow truly humbling to walk through this million year old landscape. Beaches where the rainforest truly do met each other. Mossman Gorge serene and calming and not forgetting the ice creamery with wonderful fruits I had not even heard off. The Daintree river cruise spotting crocodiles, snakes and beautiful kingfisher birds. Last but very not leased our tour guide Matt was absolutely brilliant and funny full of facts and information we would have missed so much trying to do this on our own.

Managed fantastically the challenges thrown at us, (out of his control, ) but made sure we saw everything and maximized the day. Big long day but hugely enjoyable. Thank you Matt.

Our trip was well organised, our guide Mel was fantastic and informative and very easy to in gage with. Must have the swim in the water hole at lunch time. A little cold to start but warm while swimming.

Wonderful rainforest experience

What a unique and wonderful birthday experience! One I will never forget 😍 Mick, our guide, did a fantastic job of showing us some very special places, some that we would not have been privileged to experience if we had gone out on our own. He has a great sense of humour and the knowledge of the area and sites was very interesting.

A must see and do!

What a fantastic day out exploring the Daintree rainforest, swimming in the Daintree stream was amazing. We did the Daintree river cruise I felt like I was on a safari looking for crocs, we did manage to see 3. And we did and saw so much more. Our tour guide Peer was fantastic very knowledgeable and fun. The group I was with was awesome, lovely people from around the world. I highly recommend this tour!

Best Daintree Experience

WOW this trip to the Daintree and more was a highlight our holiday, Kim our tour guide was AWESOME and super knowledgeable with the land the people and the history 😀 We loved the whole day with Barra fishing, Rain Forrest walk, Crock spotting up the River Cruise and beautiful Farm with water fall and swimming hole AWESOME . We got to try exotic fruits of Queensland as well, thanks Kim for the AWESOME DAY

A fabulous day in the Daintree and Mossman Gorge

We had the best of days today with Mel as our guide. A great selection of places to visit with a varied itinerary. Mel was very friendly and welcoming, she made sure everyone was included and that it went at the right speed to suit those on the tour. Mossman Gorge is fascinating, the croc river cruise found a couple of crocs for us to see along the river, plus some birds and a gorgeous tree frog. The Barramundi farm was really interesting and brought a great lunch. A visit to the exotic fruit farm and the waterfall pool dip was a fantastic ending to the day. Definitely a fun day and so glad that we booked it. Once again Mel was a complete star.

Daintree Rainforest
