Excellent operator

Jaden did a great job looking for crocs and pointing out local wildlife. I recommend this tour to anyone that wants to see saltwater crocodiles!

Poor experience

I was expecting to see some of the untouched river and rainforest. The whole time I could see houses and power lines. It was not my favorite experience. We just rode around in a big circle maybe 1 mile up and 1 mile down the river. The cyclone decimated this area. I wouldn’t recommend this activity. Maybe in a year.

Great experience and amazing guide!

Jan our guide was very knowledgable and kind. Would most definitely recommend this experience. They were extremely accommodating considering Cyclone Jasper, instead of cancelling we did the tour earlier.

Crocodiles in nature.

Fantastic tours, fantastic knowledgeable guides. Had the pleasure of doing 2 trips for the price of one, both very worth while.

Enjoyable and educational

We did Lowe Daintree and 2 days later did the upper Daintree. Both skippers were knowledgeable, friendly and engaging which made both trips a pleasure. Definitely felt better than going to a Croc zoo or Croc Farm. Got to see Crocs baking in the sun, swimming and little ones trying to stay hidden. Got to see some different birds & a snake in a tree. Definitely worth doing.

Great value, unique experience

My wife and I had a great time on our cruise. The captain/guide was super enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly, while the overall service and experience was fantastic. We ended up seeing 5 different crocodiles across the hour cruise. Highly recommended!

Great Short River Cruise.

Pretty Good Cruise down the river. Guaranteed to see a croc I reckon.We saw a few including the Boss. ScarFace. Good easy cruise with great commentary. Excellent price. If coming from Cairns allow at least 2.5 driving to get there. so windy and pretty drive.

Fantastic tour well worth it and you get 2 boat tours for the price of one good value money.

Fantastic tour well worth doing, very informative tour guide saw lots of crocodiles baby and adults. Lots of bird life kingfishers and even green tree snakes. Fantastic that they let you take your dog on the boat with you very dog friendly. All the staff very welcoming and friendly can't wait to do our other tour from the Daintree village in the next couple of days.

Fantastic Croc Cruise

Take my money!!! Worth every dollar!

OMG!!! How amazing was this cruise?!!! We saw heaps of crocs, females and cute babies. We saw a few pythons and a few tree snakes, a few birds and flying foxes! We did our first tour from the Daintree jetty and loved it so much we drove to the Daintree village and did the second one from there the same day! Best $$ we’ve spent! Totally worth it and would definitely recommend!! First Tour was with Bill, great guy and what an eye to spit out the snakes in the trees!! Second tour was with Jed and I can say we also had a great experience he took us up close to the crocs and tree snakes!!!

Fantastic experience from Daintree Village with plenty of crocs

We visited with a family of six, across three generations with two children aged 15 and 10. Everyone had a great time. The trip was very run and totally chilled out. We saw plenty of crocs plus two kingfishers. The guide was friendly and helpful at spotting wildlife. It was especially good value as we now have free tickets to do the lower tour from the ferry point next week, and can’t wait. This is a great company and such good value!

Well worth the cost

Around an hour of cruising along the river. Guide was really informative & happy to answer questions. Was able to see crocs & other wildlife without disturbing them. Excellent trip 😊

Great crocodile tour

We had a great tour with Jed. We saw 4 crocodiles on the tour , a python and some birds. Very beautiful. Worth your money.

Which cruise were we actually booked on?

The online booking was VERY confusing. We were not sure which cruise company we booked. Directions were not clear as the booking ticket was called Daintree River Cruise - the same as a few others before reaching Daintree Village. Nowhere did it stipulate Croc Express on the ticket - we had to ask several people who were also unsure until we asked at Croc Express office and were directed to the boat. When we arrived the tour guide was unable to confirm we were at the right place as he didn't have a list of attendees, but said he would take us.

2 for 1 and crocs

We saw several crocodiles and birds. The boat captain was knowledgeable and easy going and managed the trip solely with comfort for everyone. Surprisingly there was a 2nd trip on offer for free on a different leg of the river.

Croc sighting

Enjoyable enough. Guide/driver was knowledgeable about the wildlife and the area. Not a lot of crocs though in the area we travelled.

We saw huge 'Scarface"

Highly recommend this company & tour. They offer a second tour free, so you are guaranteed to see crocs & beautiful wildlife. Whilst it was raining & high tide we still saw cross

3 crocs!!

Trip was awesome. I enjoyed going through the narrow creeks which is where we saw the crocs. Would’ve liked to be slightly longer if possible maybe 90mins - 2hrs

Great experience on the river!

We went on a river cruise with this company and had an amazing time. Our tour guide Jad was extremely knowledgeable and very informative. We saw heaps of crocodiles and even a baby. We also loved that the boat was not packed full of people and you can move around the boat freely to spot the crocs. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone visiting the daintree river.

Croc spotting galore

We had a great guide who was very knowledgeable and pointed lots of wildlife out and let e Euronext take photos. We saw heaps of crocs and he knew them all. Even saw a python!!

A must if you are up this way

This was an truly brilliant experience. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable. We saw many crocs both females and massive males. This is a must if you are in this area.

Hidden gem in the heart of Daintree

We booked the tour for the kids to see the crocodiles but we were stunned how beautiful the scenery was. We were lucky to see 2 crocodiles during our tour. The boat seats were comfortable and was driven smoothly. The tour guide was very informative and was accommodating in answering all our questions. This place is an hour and a half drive from Cairns but is worth the drive. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Croc-tastic

Even when the changes of seeing cross at high tide were slim the crew was still excited to share their knowledge of the area with excitement. We were lucky to see 2 salties right at the end.. With the added bonus of being able to go to the other site we sore even more in the salt water. So exciting. Can tell you all care for the animals.

Fun and relaxed river tour

We had such a great time on the river cruise today. Our guide knew the area so well and all of the crocs in the river. To top it off he had some funny stories. Would definitely recommend!

The time in the Daintree River was wonderful and we got to see a crocodile but the journey up the river was very special also.

Gréât expérience

Amazing guide who knew way too much and had such great energy and really tried to show us as much as he could - as you never know where the wildlife will show, if they show at all. You may not see anything but you will certainly learn some great things!

Great cruise on both upper and lower river

We did both the Upper & Lower cruise over two different days - unfortunately only spotted one Croc and it was right next to the jetty on the first cruise, but that wasnt the fault of the guides as they did their very best to find more! The guide that took our lower river cruise was sooooo informative about crocs and you could tell that he has a love and respect for them. The guide on our upper cruise was more passionate about the life around the river. Both were excellent. Would definitely go with them again.

Brilliant

The knowledge of the tour guides is awesome. They have an answer for every question asked. Know where to look for Crocs and a variety of birds. Seen hatchlings to a snake eating Croc.

Great Tour on the Daintree

We did both the Upper and Lower Daintree cruise with both Justin and Bill Smith. Both these guides were awesome, we saw crocodiles and plenty of bird life and their commentary was informative and amusing. I would definitely recommend this company if you are planning a trip to the Daintree.

DO IT DO IT DO IT

My partner found this tour and i’m so so so glad we chose this out of the other options. 2x 1hour tours for $30, saw at least 20 crocodiles over the two tours, including some babies! The tour guides are so knowledgeable and engaging. I was amazed with how close we were able to get to these massive wild crocs!! They are used to the sound of the boats motor so that allows you to get way closer than other tours. We saw another boat approach one of the crocs we were watching and it dashed into the water, after us sitting a few metres from it for ages! $30 so so we’ll spent! The complimentary tea and coffee is also very appreciated:) Thank you so much guys!

Great cruise and value for money

Best cruise and value for money. Saw 4 crocs in their natural habitat. Could have gone for a bit longer but still really good. Educational as well. Got up nice and close.

Absolutely 5 stars

Like other reviews this is an excellent cruise option. Knowledgeable and friendly staff , and the option of completing a second complimentary cruise from their second location . Take approximately 40 mins to get to from port Douglas , so far we have completed the lower river tour and the guide was brilliant . Clean flushing toilets available and heaps of parking . Spotted approx 6 large crocs , 5 juvenile crocs, and a few snakes. Great trip and will complete the second trip in next day or so

Amazing crocodile river cruises.

Amazing crocodile river cruise. Two cruises for the price of one. Very friendly staff with a lot of knowledge to share. They know the spots that the Crocs usually visit so sightings are very common. We seen 4 on our first cruise. Three on our second, as well as two baby crocodiles.

Ticked all the boxes

We went to the Daintree to see crocodiles and other wildlife and we ticked all the boxes, thanks to Crocodile Express. We did 2 cruises which represented great value - one on the upper and one on the lower Daintree River. On each cruise we saw a big male and 2 female crocodiles. We also saw tree snakes and lots of bird life. We recommend we use these folks when visiting Daintree as the 2 combined boat tours represent great value and you are sure to see the beg fellows.

Billy smith was insanely funny guy who was well informed and very kind. Plus saw lots of crocs !!!! And other wildlife aswell !

Scenic river cruise

Justin was an experienced skipper and tour guide. He took his time taking us through the river to spot crocodiles. We did see two on our journey but we had ample time to take photos and learn more about them.

Very well presented

Great trip on the Daintree this morning and planning to go on another this afternoon. The tour guide was very informative and we saw three crocodiles. Great experience and good value for money.
