Too croc experience

Super friendly guide Brad and lovely intro by Shazda. Boat was comfortable and flat trip for my gals who hate motion. Saw theee crocs, several other wildlife too thanks to eagle eyed guide. Highly recommended!

The best Croc tour in the Daintree

The best croc tour in the Daintree. Always guaranteed to see a croc with Brucey. We saw 1 croc roughly 3m and 2 smaller ones around 1.5m. Fantastic boat tour with the man himself who holds all the knowledge and interesting facts about the Daintree River. The gift shop is a must visit and the cafe is really nice too. We will definitely be back. Cheers BB and Team

Crocodile experience

Very good and well organised, saw 4 crocodiles. Guide was extremely informative and had lots of funny stories. Pleasant gardens to have lunch.

Saw a great croc! Our guide (Bruce) was knowledgable and funny. Far out! Best times to see crocs are when tide is low (certain times of day) and temperature is cool (not summer).

Daintree river cruise

Great time on the Daintree river following the cyclone and subsequent flooding in January shows how nature can be devastating. Saw quite a bit of wildlife and heard some interesting stories.

Great tour

Would highly recommend Bruce’s tour. Gave us a great Daintree river experience. Only saw 2 crocs being the time of year but very informative guide who shared his knowledge of the river itself, the crocs and birds. He searched the whole time looking for more crocs.

Amazing, informative and one of a kind!

The whole tour was flawless. The tour guide was extremely informative not only on the crocs and wildlife but the mangroves and conservation of the rainforest. Was very interesting and fun! One of a kind experience and loved seeing wild crocs! Would definitely recommend

Croc sighting was disappointing.

Only rated it 3 stars because it was a disappointment that we only saw the middle back of only one crocodile, could not see it's head or tail, and from a distance amongst reeds in the last 5 minutes of the cruise, might as well been a rock to the layman. We pretty much were conditioned the minute we all stepped on the boat that more than likely we wouldn't see any because of tide, water temp, time of day etc.etc. I know you can't predict nature but perhaps on their website they could suggest the best time of day or time of year etc. The river cruise itself was enjoyable and peaceful but don't pin your hopes on seeing crocs if that's your aim.

Crocodile hunting...

Went with these guys as they seemed the least 'touristy' of the bunch. Small boat tours on a nice stretch of the Daintree river. Our guide managed to locate a couple of crocodiles for us even though it was out of the prime season and high tide as well. Pleasant informal tour and we weren't 'drowned' in safety information!

Fun morning trip

A friendly fun experience. We got to see a couple of crocodiles and birds along the riverbank. A few on the tour were taking photos and Bruce accommodated them by positioning the boat for the best shot. We even got extra time as we got a bit sidetracked taking photos. All in all, a relaxing time.

Great trip

We saw a 5m Crocodile on our trip. The guide had great knowledge of the area. We fully enjoyed our time.

Great cruise

Myself and husband jumped on board one of these tours as part of a full day tour with Daintree Discovery Tours. The cruise was beautiful and we spotted a few crocs on the water. Our tide was the son of Bruce and you could tell he had a great admiration for his job. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic river cruise to see Crocs, we loved it!

Terrific. Well worth going on this trip. The tour was led by the founder’s son Griffin who was excellent, very pleasant and hugely knowledgeable about Crocs and the Daintree River. He was amazing to spot 3 different crocs on our tour and we got up close to all 3. Griffin could recognise them by name and tell us their age etc. Such a thrill and a lovely, lovely morning on the river. Thank you so much. Highly recommended. Also Shazza in reception/shop was very welcoming - and one of the crocs we saw was apparently named after her!!

Informative, exciting, and a little surprise at the end.

Fantastic cruise up the beautiful Daintree. Bruce led the cruise, he was so knowledgeable and happy to share his information. We were comfortable on the smaller boat, but the new large boat looks amazing for busier seasons. Although we weren't expecting it, we were given a lovely sausage roll and drink after the cruise, which we enjoyed in the cute sitting area. Highly recommend this cruise.

Fantastic experience!

Fantastic cruise! Saw at least four crocodile with plenty of time to watch them move in their natural habitat. Got as close as a person would want to (without getting eaten) and managed to take some great photos. Guide was witty & knowledgeable. I would recommend going during the quieter season though, as the only thing that let the experience down was some badly behaved children whose parents had clearly given up. Not the tour operators fault at all.

Daintree River Cruise

My daughter and I had a lovely time exploring the Daintree River with Bruce Belcher's company. The captain of our boat was very informative and friendly. Unfortunately, due to it being high tide we were unable to spot any crocodiles on our hour long cruise. We were offered another cruise for free at a time and date that suits us.

Croc cruise

If you want to see crocs in their natural habitat this is the cruise to take, we seen 4 crocs and many other wildlife, recommend a mid to high tide when planning for the best amount of crocs and access to further up the river.

Worth it

Professional, experienced, knowledgeable, funny. Great boat. Take a jumper, it’s colder on the river than you think. Ask for the low tide booking as you will see more crocs

I did this trip as part of Uncle Brian’s tour. Our guide was Ray who went the extra mile to ensure we saw some crocs on the trip. He clearly very passionate about the crocodiles which made the experience all the more authentic. Would 1000% recommend.

Great Croc Spotting!

We enjoyed the experience, professionally operated, saw multiple crocs, staff were friendly and knowledgeable and it was excellent value for money. The only issue we had was with the path in to the boat which was a reasonable distance over stones in parts, stairs, and uphill inclinations which would be tricky to navigate with wheel chair, walking aids etc - suggest a warning in the brochure advising it could be a difficult walk for anyone who is challenged physically.

Wonderful Experience

Great to see Crocodile’s in their natural habitat. Also bonus to see pythons along this river cruise whilst enjoying other of Australia’s wildlife.

Funny and informative

We had the funny Brad guide us and he made sure we all got a great view of any wildlife we saw. He had great information and kept the funny lines coming. We were in good hands. Highly recommend this tour.

Great Croc Encounter

It was great seeing crocodiles in the wild, and close enough to see them properly. We also saw birdlife. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, with a good sense of humour.

Give it a big miss

Give Bruce a big miss and go to another tour operator. The captain of the boat did not alert us to life jackets or safety on the boat. The captain of the boat did not give us any information about crocodiles or the river and surrounds we were on. The captain of the boat said at the end "I get paid a lot of money to do not very much". Absolutely sir, I'll agree with that.

What better to do on a rainy day!!!

Before leaving Melbourne, I was advised I HAD to go on Bruce's Crocodile tour up the Daintree (mind you, it was a cousin of his who told me about it!) The heavens opened about an hour before we got on the boat, but as soon as we placed our arses on the seat, the rain stopped, the sun came out, and we had the most fantastic tour of the exquisite river, with a great display of crocs, kingfishers, tree snakes, and herons displaying their frog catching abilities, with Bruce's son (forgive me for forgetting his name) as an excellent and very knowledgeable guide. He had eyes like a hawk, able to see the tiniest birds from 50 metres, while we struggled to see them from about 5 metres :-( I would highly recommend this trip for ANY age group. Oh, and Shazza at the shop was brilliant with a great selection of souvenirs at very reasonable prices!!! We will be back ;-)

Wonderful Crocodiles

What a great way to discover these wonderful creatures. Our guide took us out for our cruise up the river where we spotted several crocodiles of different ages, sex and rank. We were taken as close as we could to the crocs without disturbing them, and the commentary was fun and informative. Cannot describe how enjoyable this trip was for our family. The guide, crocs and trip overall was so amazing, and our two teens loved it just as much as is.

So many crocs!

The river cruise was great! We really enjoyed seeing all the crocs. Our guide knew where to easily find them and we even saw a tree snake. It was perfect for a low activity day.

Great experience

We did a one hour river cruise at 0930. We were told the early mornings were a little tricky for crocodile spotting but we were not disappointed. We saw 3 females on the banks in full view and a big male swimming in the water whom we followed for 10 minutes. Ray was lovely and very informative. We can highly recommend this cruise and will do it again if we return to the Daintree.

Excellent tour with lots of crocs as promised

The tour was excellent, we saw plenty of crocs and snakes and Ray was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The new boat was also great giving you the chance to get up and walk around to get better photos

Fascinating to see the crocodiles in their own setting. Loved the tropical rain forests. Great guide. Full of knowledge and a good sense of humour. We felt like he really wanted us as individuals to enjoy the trip.

Great short boat trip

Gday this was a great short boat trip. Yep you will see a croc under Craigs great commentary and boat skills.He is a really big tip but, do all your sightseeing after the boat trip if Driving up from Cairns. Book a 11am to Midday tour as it takes about 2_2.5hrs to drive up. Also if doing Mossman Gorge do that another day as i reckon you will not fit it in. Also go to Port Douglas for a look.

Must do experience if visiting Cairns.

Glad we booked the day before as tour was full by time we arrived for lunchtime Sunday tour. Fully recommend this experience. Interesting information on crocodile behaviour and saw two male crocs basking on river edge and two juveniles. Great to see the crocs living their best life in natural habitat.

River Crocodile Tour

With a couple of hours to spare on our Cairns Holiday, we came across Bruce Belcher's Crocodile Tour. Boarded one of their boats along with around 15 others, we departed down the Daintree River searching for Crocodiles. Came across a number of 5metre specimens lying on the River bank, as well as a number of immature Crocs. Very informative commentary during the Tour. Highly recommended if you're into Small Group Touring.

Excellent tour.... Highly recommend this tour

I would recommend this tour. They went out of their way to ensure we had a great time and saw a lot of different crocodiles. We also saw a few other animals. Don't look further and go ahead with this tour. Also getting a slush in the ticket was a nice touch.

We saw a number of huge crocodiles and a couple of youngsters (1 and 2 years old) Saw a 2 metre (approximately) tree snake as a bonus. Booking was easy. Shazza at the desk is an asset to the company. If you haven’t booked one yet this is the company to choose.

Best River Cruise

Our trip on the Bruce Belcher's River Cruise was the best boat cruise ever. The driver of the cruise was very informative of the surroundings and the croc spotting was great. Highly recommend Bruce Belcher's Daintree River Cruisers to anyone visiting this part of the Douglas Shire region.

A special Daintree experience with nature at its wildest!

I am a returning customer and have found this tour the best in terms of value for money, great knowledge of the area and extremely welcoming hospitality. Considering the amount of people who pass through daily, staff were very helpful and accommodating. We were not bombarded with the guide overdoing the information. He pointed out things when necessary and answered all questions with great local knowledge.
