Relaxing and fun day on the water

A great afternoon on the water. Great drinks and food! Staff was wonderful! The snorkeling wasn’t the best because the water wasn’t very clear. But we still stayed in and enjoyed the water for almost 2 hours!

Beautiful Sunset

I appreciated being picked up at our hotel for this excursion, however, people from the other hotel that we were picking up from weren't ready on time so we spent quite a bit of time waiting on them. We were dropped off right at the Coco Beach location that we were to take the dingy boat to the catamaran. Food was amazing on board and the snorkeling was okay (just not much to see). The boat crew was very friendly and it was a gorgeous sunset! Super fun experience for my family!

Family Fun

The entire excursion was a blast. The ride to the cove where we swam was relaxing and the views were amazing. Once we got to the cove I snorkeled, saw lots of beautiful fish, my wife and daughter swam and we all jumped off the side of the boat. We met some great people from our home state which was nice and drank margaritas, piña coladas and strawberry daiquiris. The food was good and the crew was awesome. I’d definitely book this tour again.

Fun in the sun

Great excursion & the catamaran is quite nice. Dillon was awesome & serviced us with drinks around the clock with a smile on his face. I do feel the music could have been better. Only Latin music was played on the first stretch…I feel they could mix it more with R&B, easy listening & pop music. Also the food was quite tasty. Overall a good excursion. Didn’t snorkel so no review on that part, we just chilled on the catamaran.

Fun way to experience the wildlife

This was a great way to end our trip to Costa Rica. The crew was fun, the drinks were good on the open bar, and we saw a lot of wildlife.

This is a nice excursion on the water featuring a beautiful sunset. The staff was very attentive. Snorkeling was average.

The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We were in good hands. Snorkeling was very sub par. Don't expect to see much in the murky waters. Sunset was amazingly beautiful though and there was plenty of drink and fun. Food was ok.

Sting Rays and Sunset

It was a very relaxing day, we saw sting rays and multiple colored fish. The captain positioned the boat perfectly to watch a spectacular sunset. The lunch provided was tasty, the music was fun, the crew was excellent! We met alot of people and enjoyed a nice relaxing day together.

Paradise

The crew was skilled, passengers friendly, ocean was incredibly beautiful. A great time! We would do this every time we cone to Costa Rica

Superb for price though I didn’t shop around

Very fantastic. We saw two manta rays, angel fish, a pufferfish and several coral types. The boat ride was beautiful with an open bar and dinner with a sunset view of the various islands. The staff was superb and helpful and overall a grand time on a catamaran. Definitely good value for the overall experience! Thank you gracious hosts!!

The Crew was Amazing!

The Crew was Amazing! From pick up to drop off it was seamless. The catamaran was a great way to see the beaches of Costa Rica while jammin’ to the music with an open bar!

This was a very nice cruise (not sailing) and the crew was fantastic! They each contributed something homemade for the meals and made it fun.

The crew on the Marlin del Ray were wonderful! Drinks and food were very tasty and the snorkeling was beautiful 😍 Pura Vida Costa Rica - paradise!

Sunshine, good vibes, great experience, fabulous crew!

Just book this trip! Such a fun memory from our time in CR. The meeting spot was easy to find, we started on time, the catamaran was spacious and clean, the drinks were bountiful…The snorkel spot and beach we stopped at was very relaxing, and we saw a variety of fish and then got to see monkeys on the beach after our snorkel. Beautiful sunset on the way back. I could go on and on about how great everything was. Loved the kind and accommodating crew, too! If you are debating whether to book, stop debating and doooo itttt!

MY HEROS!!

OMG! What a crew. Plenty of room, happy folks, happy crew, loved the snorkeling, but guess what happened?? I accidentally left one of my fav hats, black and white, to go with swim suit for the day. So great hubby and I purchased one from a street vendor (which by the way had a lot of really cute hats especially for hat lovers as myself). So I'd only had it less than an hour before getting on this boat. I tightened and everything, but a gust of wind caught my hat just so and flew it out into the beautiful ocean! Our friends with us, those who saw it fly away, and myself and hubby, were like "Oh no! Bye-bye hat forever -- right?? One of the crew members offered to give my hat a memorial LOL then hubby pointed out I'd only known this hat for a short period of time, but lo-and-behold, Captain always paying attention, turned this boat around, quickly locating my hat. A couple of crew members snagged it with the long pole-hook thingy, and before I knew it my hat was rescued, no worse for the wear. Everyone cheered. I felt so special!! Thanks to all who were my hero that day. Thanks so much!!!

Great boating, terrible snorkeling

The catamaran part of the trip was amazing! We saw whales, dolphins and even turtles mating in the water. The sunset was simply amazing and the boat captain did a great job when we saw the animals. The food was pretty good too. The snorkeling however was terrible. The coral was mostly dead and only a few fish to see. Highly recommend if you just want to swim, see wildlife, and hang out. But if you are taking this mainly for snorkeling, I wouldn't recommend.

Loved our excursion!

Absolutely loved our tour with this company. The crew and captain (Andre) were super nice and professional. There was ample room on the boat for everyone, and we loved being able to sit on the netting above the water. Plenty of shade down below the deck if that’s what you’re looking for. We were fortunate to see a mom and baby humpback whale fairly close up. The captain stopped the boat for at least 20 minutes so we were able to see the whales several times. We also saw dolphins and flying fish on the cruising portion. We were also fortunate to have pretty calm ocean conditions and clear water for snorkeling. We saw several kinds of tropical fish, including parrot, puffer, butterfly, and even saw 2 lobsters. One of our group saw an octopus. It was great having 90 minutes to snorkel, swim around, jump and slide off the boat. We all very much enjoyed the lunch- the chicken, beans, rice, fresh salsa, and fruit were delicious. There was plenty for the 3 vegetarians in our group. Chips and cookies were great too. The bartender was very nice, and the drinks were great. We had a nice group of people on board (about 30), and all seven of our family group throughly enjoyed the outing. Several in our group said it was their favorite day in Costa Rica out of our 11 day trip. Would highly recommend.

We had a great time. The crew was fantastic. The food was tasty, drinks were plentiful, the snorkel was fun.

Fantastic experience! The crew was great, food was great and the view of the sunset was breathtaking!

Disappointing Experience.

We chose this trip for sailing and snorkeling. People began drinking when we were underway-never been on one where alcohol is served before snorkeling. Boat was crowded and when we asked why the sails weren’t raised on the return, as expected, we were told there were TOO MANY PEOPLE on board ! Could have hired a dive boat if we weren’t going to take advantage of sailing with the great wind. Also, we didn’t receive snorkel gear until we were jumping off. Was difficult adjusting mask, fins, etc. once in the water. Can’t imagine a first timer having to figure that out. Crew was very nice and polite, as was the driver, but the drinking and packed boat made for an unpleasant experience. Not to be a downer, but we were so disappointed. Have snorkeled/sailed in Cancun, Hawaii, the Keys, Cozumel etc. so this did not match previous experiences. Beautiful scenery.

So So kinda sunset kinda snorkeling tour.

So-so at best. The good - transportation to the event was timely and comfortable. Food on board was basic, but good and plentiful. Bar service was good if not excellent. Boat was in good condition. The bad - The boat parks a long way from any fish. Oddly after the failed snorkeling ended, the boat got 100 meter closer to where the fish were. They did not offer, but had, flippers. A few knew to ask. Most did not. They headed into the shore during sunset, so it was not really seen well. Crew seemed to not really care about the guests. They were not rude, just oblivious. Notes - No shoes allowed on the boat. You will need to wade to the small boats that take you to the big boat. Music is good and not overpowering.

Amazing snorkeling and sunset cruise!

Got the opportunity to meet new people from all over the world and explore the Costa Rican coast in a new way. Top notch cruise. Captain and crew were knowledgeable and fun! Food, snorkeling, sailing and sunset couldn't have been more perfect! I highly recommend this cruise for singles, couples and families.

Wonderful time! Great boat, great crew. Snorkeling was a bit mediocre but fun all around. Food served was good and the drinks were flowing.

Sunset cruise and snorkel

This experience was amazing and so worth it! We got there a little early and hung out at the local bars in playa del coco. Then we had a great time on the cruise. Great music, the crew was super friendly and helpful. The beach they took us to, was breathtaking. Overall 10/10 recommend!

Highly recommend this tour

A perfect day in Costa Rica! The crew was so attentive and friendly and knowledgeable. We saw dolphins, rays, sea turtles and plenty of cool fish.

Spectacular Adventure and Breath Taking Sunset.

The Captain and crew were amazing. They took us around and navigated so we could see the aquatic life. We were fortunate to see Pacific Dolphins, Sea Turtles, and a Humpback Whale. We then proceeded to the snorkeling location. The spot was great for seeing all kinds of fish and urchins and coral. The pool noodles were a nice touch in making it so simple to snorkel around. The food was great. We thoroughly enjoyed the chicken, rice, and homemade Pico de Gallo. Then followed up with homemade chocolate chip cookies. Yummy!! The way back was slow and relaxing. The sunset was stunning. Super highly recommend. Very well worth every penny.

The staff was very attentive and made the trip more enjoyable. The music was good. The sunset was beautiful.

Very fun boating and snorkeling adventure

There was a great vibe on this trip. Fun music playing. Open bar both alcohol and non alcholic. We saw dolphins, sea turtles, flying rays. The snorkeling was actually great. I saw rays, sea urchins, star fish, parrot fish, schools of neon yellow fish. The late lunch was also very good. I would recommend.

Must Do Catamaran Trip!

This was a great near end to an amazing trip in Costa Rica. This is a perfect way to enjoy time out on the ocean with everything you need to have a good time, food, drinks, snorkel, and fun guides.

Great sunset your, but poor snorkeling

This tour was a lot of fun, the food was delicious, the drinks plentiful, the service wonderful. BUT.... The snorkeling was not good. The snorkeling area is near a beach and the surf makes the water churned up with low visibility. I would recommend as a tour as long as you're not expecting good snorkeling.

Crew was excellent

The crew was SO amazing!! They were so kind and so attentive - making sure that everyone had what they needed at all times. The food served was excellent. The scenery on the cruise and the sunset were so beautiful.

Gorgeous sunset and delicious food!

My husband and I and our two teen boys enjoyed this so much! The crew were amazing and the Pina Coladas were fresh and yummy. There was plenty of shade in the cabin and the meal they served was really good. We stopped for a swim and snorkeling, although we could not see much due to the red tide. I will never forget the sunset… soft vibrant colors filled the sky. The crew played great music, however it get get loud in the cabin so most people stayed up top. Our teens enjoyed jumping off the catamaran when we anchored. I highly recommend this cruise. You will not be disappointed.

Nice Sailing Trip with Beautiful Sunset and OK Snorkeling!

The sailing trip was great! The beach we went to was beautiful! The drinks and foods were very good! The snorkeling was average! The sunset was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend for a family (our kids are 11 and 13) and they loved jumping off the boat, snorkeling, playing on the beach that felt deserted and the food/drinks! The crew was great!

Super fun - but not for everyone

This cruise is super fun, but not for everyone. The crew and staff are phenomenal, and go out of their way to ensure the guests are having a good time. The boat is clean and the views of the coast are amazing. The seas were rough the day we went, so there was no snorkeling; however, we were able to anchor offshore and go swimming. Big thing to mention here is that the booze is all free and free flowing! So, for young 20-30 somethings is a big party boat. Since we were accompanied by our adult children, it didn't phase us in the least; however, for impressionable teens, it may not be the perfect match. A little awkward for those who don't drink or who do not have tolerance for people just wanting to drink, party, and get super drunk and be carefree.

Beautiful boat, friendly...

Beautiful boat, friendly crew, great drinks and food. The only weak point was the snorkeling itself, which provided little to look at. However, the sail home was glorious and we were visited by a large school of dolphins, which was quite special.

Misleading Advertising

I received a confirmation from a “Bill” to inform me that the cruise was not a “booze cruise.” That is far from the truth. While the drinks were plentiful, the snorkeling, beach time and general instructions were not. The description states a fishing line would be dropped. None was offered or dropped. The description boasts seeing dolphins, flying fish and turtles. The tour team made no attempts to bring that to reality. We went to one beach and was told “sorry the water isn’t clear enough for snorkeling but go ahead and try.” Equipment was just handed to us with no instructions. We got about 45 minutes to swim/snorkel/sunbathe and we were ushered back on the boat. Lunch was great. The drinks were delicious. But this cruise was not worthy of the $230 my partner and I spent to basically cruise on the water and drink.

Worth it

It was a blast from start to finish. The team on board were great! They served a lovely dinner after swimming and even went out of their way to find out whales and dolphins

Crew was excellent

The crew was great and was always making sure we had a drink or anything else we wanted. Snorkeling was excellent and the sunset on the way back was amazing. The crew spotted out whales and dolphins for us on the trip.

What a fantastic time, with a great crew.

We booked this trip through Tripadvisor and found the whole experience to be amazing. Although they did not have transport from our specific hotel, they made arrangements easily for us. Unfortunately we went on a day when the ocean bottom was stirred up, so no snorkeling for us. Oh well that happens. We did however spend time at a secluded beach and explore some caves. It made for a great afternoon any way. The crew on the boat are awesome and come around frequently to make sure you are all good. The BBQ chicken they served was amazing. I highly recommend this trip and if you can spend the evening in Coco Beach after.

Very fun inclusive activity for friends, family and couples

Very fun in the sun, inclusive of sailing , snorkeling, drink and beautiful sunset. Definitely recommend for couples, friends and families ( not ideal for small children ) as much indulgence in drink and boat can be limited in space. Food is pretty okay especially after a day snorkeling when you’re hungry. (BBQ chicken, beans, rice, fruits, variety of chips, and maybe cookies?) all types of drinks were unlimited. The sunset was gorgeous and we (my adult kids and their significant others) all really enjoyed the day. Would definitely recommend and do this activity again.

One of our favorite things we did!

This was one of our favorite things we did on our recent trip to Costa Rica. Our cruise actually left from Coco Beach (not Hermosa). The bus picked us up from our hotel lobby which was super convenient. It was 20 mins or so to the beach and the catamaran. You take a dinghy a short distance out to the catamaran. There were probably 50 people on our cruise. We spent a couple hours cruising around the coast before stopping to snorkel. Everything was gorgeous... we loved the water, wind and views. We enjoyed talking to other travelers too. There wasn't a ton to see with the snorkeling but we still enjoyed it. Then we got back on the boat for a delicious mid afternoon dinner. Then we cruised back to the bay and saw an unbelievable sunset. There was only 1 child in our group, but I would've felt comfortable taking my kids and think they would've loved it.

best tour if you can only do one don t miss this one

It was the best tour we booked for our second day in Guanacaste the crew is so friendly and courteous we strongly recommend it and the sunset is beautiful

This crew is great they ensure that you have everything you need for the adventure. Just bring yourself and your shades. Super polite crew and captain 👨‍✈️ the food was good also homemade

Sunset Cruise

We absolutely loved our Snorkel and Sunset Cruise. We were picked up in front of our hotel on time and driven a few miles to Playa del Coco, where we boarded a skiff and then the catamaran. The catamaran was clean and the captains were super friendly. We cruised to the snorkel spot that had a little cave to explore as well. There was plenty of time to snorkel and explore the little island. When we returned to the boat, there was a beautifully prepared lunch for everyone, including homemade chocolate chip cookies! My son said the BBQ chicken was the best he'd had in Costa Rica. The cruise back was perfectly timed to the sunset. Fabulous. A "must do" in Guanacaste. Pura Vida.

Fabulous time!

The entire crew and experience was top-notch! Everyone felt safe and pampered from the minute we stepped into the spacious catamaran. The crew was lively and entertaining and professional. Definitely recommend this cruise for all ages.

Nice boat & pleasant outing

Snorkeling was good. Food was tasty, but not in great abundance. Boat and crew were very nice. We had a small group of 13, so was comfortable. If the tour was full at 75 people, it would have been pure hell. I don't know how, but try to get on a tour not over crowded, perhaps stick to weekdays.
