Half day Thai cooking Class + Market tour+Garden tour

I highly recommend Wooddys cooking course! Fresh ingredients, fun while cooking and utterly delicious food!

We were picked up from our hotel by Wooddy, taken to a local market to purchase fresh food. Wooddy explained what everything was and is super friendly and nice, plus his English is great. We then did a tour of his garden where he has fresh herbs, vegetables and even flowers to add to the ingredients for the days cooking. We made 4 dishes, all of which were utterly delicious! We were so full, they packed up what we couldn’t eat so we could take it home for later. I highly recommend Wooddys cooking course!

Fantastic Thai cooking class, family friendly - highly recommend

We went to Woody’s cooking class as a family ( two adults, 2 children). Woody and his cooking colleagues were lovely and welcoming. The kids were included in the activities and had great fun assisting and tasting ingredients. We cooked four delicious meals and learnt about the ingredients that went into each. We very much enjoyed the garden tour and visit to the markets to collect ingredients. Woody also collected us from the hotel and we enjoyed our chats. I would highly recommend Woody’s cooking classes to families as well as couples or groups. Thanks Woody and team 😊

So much fun cooking our lunch!

Best tour we've ever done! Wooddy and his Team were amazing from Transport arrangement to eating our own cooked lunch it was so much fun. The market and the fruit, herbs and vegetable garden were an added treat and we learnt all about our ingredients. Thank you Wooddy, fantastic half day....

Great fun and interesting

An excellent opportunity to prepare, cook and eat your own food under the expert guidance of Chef Wooddy. Starting with a local fresh food market tour and also seeing many of the ingredients growing outside the cooking school itself, brought the whole experience to life. Wooddy and his family do much of the hard work preparing some of the ingredients, and Wooddy delivers the course with humour and skill. A really interesting and enjoyable experience.

The best traditional cook class and market tour I have experienced

We were collected from our hotel on time by Wooddy. After collecting the remainder of people for this experience, we were taken to a local fresh food market to explore all the produce available in the region and pick up a few items needed for the cooking class. Wooddy was very good at explains what all the produce was and in what type of Thai dishes it would be used in. Once we arrived at Wooddy Kitchen, we were taken on a tour of the garden that grows many of the produce used in the cooking classes. We then prepared all the ingredients for 4 dishes followed by carefully instructed guidance from Wooddy and his team. We then sat down to enjoy our creations. I have to admit that they were the best tasting Thai food I have ever had. After lunch we were rolled out of the class and back into the van and returned to our hotel, where I dropped into a food coma for 3 hours 🤣. Wooddy speakers excellent English (much better than my Thai) and made the entire experience one to remember. Oh, I should also mention that the dishes that you cook, as well as several others, are sent to you to try at home.

Woody was an excellent Thai cooking instructor. He’s energetic, fun, & overall a great person. He knows what he’s doing, makes it fun & has a wonderful family. Everything was spot on and sanitary. The food we made was delicious. I definitely recommend.

Wonderful Cooking Experience!

Fantastic cooking class. Woody and his family were incredibly welcoming and the food was incredible. The market tour was a highlight as we got to see our coconut milk made fresh and we learned how to select the best fruit! Must do if you are in Kata.

Amazing Thai cooking class

What a fantastic morning my son and I spent with Wooddy learning the secrets of Thai cooking…..hotel pick up, local market for shopping then back to Wooddy’s great kitchen with fab kitchen garden where we picked lemongrass, Thai eggplant and pea aubergine as well as sampling sweet basil, holy basil, kaffir lime leaves! Not forgetting the passion fruit picked for us! The cooking was great fun, everything really well explained and we may be biased but the food was awesome!

Best Thai dishes I’ve ever had!

Such an incredible experience! Woody picked us up from our hotel before heading to the market to buy ingredients. He would explain the different ingredients as we went, very informative! The cooking experience was fantastic with easy instructions from Woody and I genuinely believe this was the best Thai meal I’ve ever had. Will be making at home for sure!!

Best Thai Cooking Experience

Such an amazing experience. Had so much fun doing this last year that we came back with our kids to do it again. Wooddy is a great teacher and keeps it super fun! Great for families, so cool to learn how to make the foods that we love to eat. Would highly recommend this course!

Amazing Thai Cooking Class

Woody was absolutely amazing! The whole experience was great, from getting the ingredients, prepping the food, cooking and then finally eating! Absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend this cooking class for a real authentic Thai food experience. We had: Tom Yum, Thai Green Curry, Pad Thai, and for dessert Mango Sticky Rice! 10/10. Thanks Woody!

Must-do if you're in Phuket

I highly recommend this experience if you're in Phuket. Wooddy is great. He'll take you to a market to buy all the ingredients in together, while explaining each ingredient. The cooking class is both fun and educational, and the food was delicious. Definitely add this to your list.

Great morning cooking

Tip top morning, collected from hotel, and then a stop at the market, picked up some produce we had not tried before, Wooddy was very informative and took his time to explain things. Food we cooked was great, not too spicy but just enough heat. We had a great morning and would return again if you are looking for a cooking class look know further

Authentic Thai experience

Excellent experience learning about fresh Thai ingredients. Woody explained all the ingredients and how its used in the different dishes. He showed us how to prepare the ingredients and then how to cook 4 different dishes. It was delicious!

One of the best

Excellent! Wooddy is a great host and chef/teacher. The food he taught us to cook was delicious and the class itself was great fun. We’ve done a few of these cooking experiences and this was up there with the best! Recommend!

Thai cooking/eating class

Ooooommmmggg this was absolutely the best experience. Wooddy was fabulous, funny, and explained everything easily. There were onlt two of us and we both didn't want too spicy,so he was able to customize each dish to our level of liking, you cut all of your own vegetables and prepare all of your own food, and cook just for yourself, we made four dishes and loved all of them especially the mango sticky rice, was sooooooo incredibly DELISH. This was such an amazing experience and if you go to Phuket and want to learn how to cook authentic Thai food, I highly recommend Woody and his cooking school.

Well worth doing when in Phuket

Had a great morning with Wooddy walking around the local market and then cooking. Cooked four different courses, Wooddys English was fantastic and he can tweak the food to the spice level you like from completely mild to hot. Food was fantastic but come hungry as there is a lot of it! Clean and large kitchen with fans and good hand washing/toilet facilities. Will definitely try some of the recipes when home.

Authentic Thai cooking experience

Chef Wooddy and his crew were excellent. We learnt so much from tasting new fruit at the market to learning all about the almost 20+ ingredients that go into your curry paste. We had so much food we couldn't possibly finish it but it was all excellent and we will be taking our new skills home. The kitchen is spotless and the garden is full of tropical fruit trees and herbs. I woul definitely recommend for an authentic Thai cooking experience in Phuket 👍🏼

A MUST do experience!

This is a MUST do in Phuket. We had an amazing experience with chef Nong, who has 30 years experience. He was so friendly and informative, he really made the experience fun. We learned so much about Thai cooking too!

Amazing! Nong did our class for us and he was incredible! The food we ate was the best Thai food we have ever tasted!! Definitely would recommend!!!

Honestly, the best morning of my life. Wooddy is the nicest, most welcoming guide. Execution perfect, food amazing. I highly recommend this experience for any and all ages. You get to experience shopping, preparation, a tour through gardens and hands on everything. Such a personal experience that you can’t leave Phuket without experiencing. Everyone gets their own cooking station. I can’t recommend this experience more.

A great afternoon learning about Thai food and local ingredients

We had such a fantastic afternoon with Wooddy - he conveniently collected us from our accommodations and we headed straight to a local market where we were learnt about the seasonal fruits, vegetables and spices we would be using in the dishes at the cooking school. The cooking class was so much fun - lots of chopping in readiness for puttting the dishes together with our own cooktops and woks. The dishes were tasty and accommodated our friend’s allergy needs. Wooddy captured photos during the afternoon and presented each of us with a personalised memento. Highly recommended! Thanks so much Wooddy.

Great Thai Cooking Class!!

We LOVED our cooking class with Wooddy. He is so professional, kind, and a great teacher. The food was amazing! Loved every dish we prepared: Massaman chicken curry, Tom Yum Soup, Vegetable fried spring rolls (so good!!) and the fried bananas were the perfect ending! We will definitely be back to learn (and eat!) more!

Amazing! Thai cooking class with Wooddy. I cant recommend this more. Wooddy and his staff are very friendly and welcoming. We picked up our ingredients from the market and then prepared and cooked three courses: Chicken Coconut soup, Pad Thai and fried bananas. The most tasty thing we've eaten in Thailand. Wooddy also gives you a hat, apron and certificate as part of the visit. Would be 6 stars if could.

A fantastic experience - BOOK IT

A fantastic experience and so much packed in. From the ingredients, prep, then we went to the market and bought fresh ingredients and then a tour of his garden too. The cooking instruction was well explained, he is so easy to get along with and the food we made was DELICIOUS! Such a lovely family run small business. We even got personalised certificates at the end - really made our trip memorable!
