Small Group Scuba Diving Experience in Maiton Private Island

Wonderful scuba experience with great instructors!

Absolutely one of the most memorable experience for first time divers! Staff extremely kind and very attentive to all participants Saw a lot of exotic fish, corals and came close to even touching the corals Great initial training provided Recommend Chon who was my personal instructor who was very kind, attentive and gently nudged me to not give up when I wanted too! Thank you Chon! Highly recommend this scuba experience. Would definitely do it again!

All in all an azimg experience

This was my first dive ever and it was an amazing experience. Both Chang and Jo were amazing instructors and super friendly and only enhanced our experience. They saw our form and realised it's one of our friends birthday in the group and were sweet enough to surprise him with a cake in the middle of the sea. Corals had good amounts of wildlife and was really clean. Would highly recommend their tour

Amazing experience, well taken care of

The guide, crew and diving instructor were just great. My diving instructor was Bobby and he is just amazing. He is very experienced and guided us to see so many different underwater creatures. And he helped us take so many amazing photos and videos (paid additional at registration site). Attached photos are by him and sent by one of the crew, Chang, who helped upload in my Google Drive because there were just so many! They provided drinks and snacks on the boat and I like that it's a small group. I think this is one of the tours I've enjoyed the most and I think everyone should join this tour at least once to experience scuba diving. Thank you so much to Chang, Bobby and the guide (forgot the name sorry!).

Best snorkelling island

Great snorkelling at the second stop. Paid for scuba but unfortunately my ear wouldn’t equalise. Had a fun time though. Good short trip and great private transfer. Lovely crew and funny tour guide! Great snacks and drinks provided

Incredible experience

Gow was excellent with his communication prior to the trip and detailed all parts of the experience. Once we got picked up from our hotel and arrived at the pier, Gow and his team explained all the safety procedures very clearly and precisely. The overall scuba diving experience was safe, fun and incredible. The crew were kind, caring and humorous. I could not have had a better first experience scuba diving. Thank you all!

An unforgettable experience!

Very enjoyable activity. It was my first time scuba diving and the service was amazing. The tour picked me up from my hotel early in the morning even though it was the complete opposite side of the island and I offered to meet them somewhere more reasonable, which was very nice. The speed boat ride to the private island and back is only half an hour each way and part of the fun, although I wouldn't recommend sitting at the front if you don't like slightly bumpy rides! The tour guides are very friendly and make you feel safe by teaching you the essential tips for diving. They are always next to you underwater, steering you and asking if you are okay so even if something were to ever happen they could easily bring you to the surface in seconds. They provided me with lots of photos and videos and even arranged a private ride back to my hotel for a reasonable price. I would recommend this to anyone, especially those who have never been scuba diving before.

Experience without license for Scuba diving in Maiton Island

One of the best experiments in my life with one of the scuba diver experts whose name is Jo having 27 years of experiences and other divers have a good knowledge too. Marine life is really different and beautiful, you should try atleast once.

My First Scuba Diving Experience

I booked the Scuba Discovery Dive (2 Dive Sites) and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience! We were picked up from our hotel early and on time and upon reaching the pier, we were briefed clearly on what to expect, all the safety procedure, and administration - fuss free! The entire diving team of diving instructors were extremely friendly, welcoming, and patient! They were also very knowledgeable and clear when explaining to us the safety procedure and instructions. Our diving instructor was also sure to ensure everyone in the group was clear before proceeding. I especially loved the dedicated 1-to-1 attention from my diving instructor which was great especially being a first-timer. My diving instructor was patient and also managed to capture stunning underwater shots and videos of me! I appreciate how personalised the experience was where my instructor was there to guide me throughout the entirety. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and the hospitality of the team and responsiveness during my conversation/enquiries with the team prior to my visit made me assured and I will definitely book with them again! :)

Unforgettable life experience

About the dive: Compared to Phi Phi island and Racha island,diving in Maithon island is more private and less crowded,which makes it a very good choice.The underwater visibility is excellent,and the diversity of sea creatures is astonishing. It had been 8 months since my last dive,so I took a review dive,and it turned out to be a rather wise way to start my 8days diving trip.I remember 3DM escorted us during our second dive to make sure we're safe and everything is okay. What makes this tour the most recommendable and so special is the crew,Chang,Jo,RedDolphin,Kao,Tony,Dew,their happiness is incredibly contagious,absolutely the kindest and the most generous people I've ever met.Big thanks to everyone,especially to Chang. My instructor bobby is a very experienced diver,and I felt greatly relieved diving with him. Definitely worth a try,I'm sure it would be one of the most memorable experiences in life.

We had a great experience. Diving instructor was super caring and did a nice job! The place for diving is located a bit far from their office (it took us about 1 hour to get there by boat).

Wow wow wow

Absolute best trip ever!! Views were amazing, the instructors were excellent, so friendly, patient and fun. Got amazing photos and videos and saw some really cool sea life. Highly recommend for inexperienced divers. It has made me want to get licensed now 😍

Absolutely Amazing

This trip was an absolutely awesome experience, the instructors/guides were so good with our small group. Having only 8 of us for this we had real personal time with the crew to really learn and experience scuba diving for the first time. Our first dive was just under 6 meters deep on some beautiful coral around Mai ton island. We did our safety checks and once once they were happy we were competent we were off to the exploring. Seeing a vast array of marine life. From clown fish to cuttle fish. Our second dive was just around the corner on Mai ton where we dived to nearly 10 meters deep, on this dive I had really learnt from my instructor the fundamentals of scuba diving he kept close and only adjusted when needed too really letting me get a grip of it on my own. On this dive we saw lion fish, giant squid, crabs and a whole lot more. The snacks through out the day were really decent from fresh fruit to crisps and pandan custard rolls. Overall I’m really happy with the trip 10/10

Best half day dive option out of Phuket, abundant coral and colour changing cuttlefish

Restored my faith in Thailand diving after seeing some average coral elsewhere in our trips. Abundant coral and fishlife, saw cuttlefish for the first time after over 100 dives so always love experiencing new things underwater. Gow and the crew are awesome, super friendly and went above and beyond to make the trip a success. Really new speed boat and less than 30 mins to dive sites rather than a 6 hour return slog to Phi Phi from Phuket. Only 2 of us diving that day but weren't made to feel awkward and Gow arranged a cake and sang happy birthday when he found out the other diver's birthday was the next day, blown away! Get in quick before Gow gets swamped as people learn how awesome this tour is, wish him all the success!

Not recommended.

Divers have insecurity complex issues with no customer service skills. Unsafe and dangerous practices. Descending quickly which has caused significant pain and discomfort to my ear drums due to pressure. My diving fins were rudely taken from me whilst diving. (Yes, whilst under the water) The diving experience was terminated earlier so the instructor could get back quickly to the boat and finish the day. When I asked why air bubbles are coming from the tank hose (leak) I was rudely told "You have enough air in the tank to make it back" Favoursim for white tourists (they treat them better and give them more attention "thinking" they will get more money (tips - or to get them sign up for the full scuba course) from them) - If you are not white and come across well off expect jealousy and ill-treatment.

Coming Back for More!

It's been a while since my last scuba dive, so I took PH up on their offer for a review. They are very professional regarding safety, but they are also very Thai when it comes to fun! It was great to get back to diving and it was a pleasure to enjoy the crew. Mai Thon is not overrun with divers, so the experience could not have been better, in all respects. I just booked a second trip!

Pucket Dive January 2024

Clearwater, lots of sea, life, and great scuba instructors as guides! The food was excellent, and the equipment was first class. We thought this was probably the best dive we had ever experienced!

Great beginner dive!

Could not be better

Half day/ morning Scuba diving with the experienced instructor Chang and the whole P.G.Marine Team was one of the best experiences in our lives. We did a beginers course and received all the support and friendliness possible to encourage us to do our best! They took us to perfect places to observe marine life under water, provided us with great refreshments and shot perfect pictures of us to keep memories. We would give them 6 stars if that was possible:) Thank you, Chang, Bobby and all the team!

Amazing experience!

The marine life was incredible and divers were so patient with my mom and I! It was her first time diving and they made her feel so relaxed and confident in what she was doing. Our divers were so friendly and went over beyond on the photos for us! We will definitely be back! Amazing experience overall :)

Excellent dive trip

Dive master was great, the equipment was great, and the dive sites were really good. Among other things, I got to see a decent sized octopus. They provided us with plenty of fruits and snacks and drinks onboard the boat between dives. The total cost was about 170 USD for: pick up from the cruise ship docking location; ALL equipment rental; two tank dive; and drop off back at the cruise ship location. They say that they offer prescription masks, but I wore contact lenses, so I didn't test the prescription masks.

Amazing scuba experience.

The team was amazing in giving instructions and made us feel comfortable. It was our first time doing scuba, but we didn’t face any challenge because of the supportive team.

Disregard for nature

The scuba diving itself was very entertaining as always. I am giving this experience a low rating for one reason alone; a disregard for nature. Throughout the experience the guides literally forced my partner and I to constantly touch the coral which damages it and can often kill it. (I dont say force lightly, as they grabbed our wrists and muscled us to touch it). They also went as far as physically breaking off pieces of coral with there hands and also purposefully jabbing various sea life with sticks. Also, this experience will cost roughly 150 USD

Beautiful experience!

Definitely recommend the trip!! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating and the diving experience was absolutely astonishing! The coral reefs were beautiful and there were so many different kinds of fish to see. I also enjoyed the small group (we were only 3 divers) and the secluded location

Great trip, recommended

Thank you for the wonderful experience, Gow and crew! End of october I was diving at two spots and my girlfriend was snorkeling. We were lucky to be only two and the sea was calm and the sun was shining. There were snacks, fruit, water and soft drinks. We both saw nemo and trumpet fish and many more colorful, black and white big and small fish. Diving for the 1st time ever, I got to see a blowfish, a moray and a black firefish. Gow gave me a trustful feeling and guided me savely through the instructions. Underwater he showed nice tricks. Tony made a lot of pictures and videos with the action camera between that were sent by airdrop for a fee.

The whole crew were so friendly and accommodating! We had never scuba dove before but we felt so comfortable in the water. Would recommend!

A great experience

Great dive

We had a very nice day! Nice staff who really take the time for you and make it feel special. The divers help you well and you feel more than safe. We received nice images from the organization. Nice that the organization was so flexible since our dive earlier this week could not take place due to illness. It certainly wasn't our last dive. Highly recommended.

Great tour for coral and marine life

This was an excellent experience for those wishing to dive in this area. I don’t know if it’s always this way but we had 4 crew on our boat for 4 people - that’s 1:1 ratio of service! I would guess maybe we didn’t have a large tour but every crew had a job and was pleasant doing it. They provided ample cold water before & after dives, fresh cut fruit between dives, and the dives were great. While the visibility was not best, it was better in the areas where no or little sandy bottom. The coral was beautiful - not that colorful but beautiful shapes, structures and so fantastic. And there was a lot of marine life, clown anemone fish darting in/out of the anemone, a honeycomb eel hiding in the coral, and our guide pointed out several lionfish and a spiny lobster! I had not dived in many years and was nervous before the dive. But the crew made everything so easy, they set up all the gear, helped me estimate my weights, and since they don’t provide dive computers, the Dive Master just took us on a kind of underwater tour, and was doing all the monitoring of gages and time and frequently checked in with us on remaining air. It was so easy and carefree. I really appreciate their attentiveness and focus on safety. I highly recommend this tour if you want a chance to scuba and see some beautiful coral and marine life.

I wish there was a negative rating…

We booked scuba for 6 of us and trip advisor sends a ticket that reads 9 AM… while all other tour operators declare the time of pick up, this tour declares the time we should be there in their location which essentially means the pick up atleast an hour and a half early… due to this confusion 2 of us couldn’t make it, leaving only 4 on the trip. As soon as we went they asked us to pay full amount for those who canceled too for all 6 in total with reasons such exclusive boat and more dive instructors were already organised assuming 6 would come. We didn’t argue and paid the total money for all 6 including the 2 who never came. just before starting they filled up the boat with another strange group of guys who gave hell to everyone on board and the crew had no control over anything. The trip to the dive spot was 25 min which was filled with smoking and throwing cigarette buds in the ocean… along with this chewing gum, tissues, bottles were being hauled into the ocean freely… the crew had no objection whatsoever while they were doing it… we repeatedly spoke abt this but absolutely nothing was and it seemed normal to everyone. The other group that had originally booked for swimming wanted to do scuba mid way…. One of the 4 of us being the 1st time had some issues and couldn’t dive… the dive master saw the opportunity, pulled him out and started negotiating money with other group to take them down to dive with the tanks and gear that was brought for us.. We had booked 2 dives and were informed abt very rich marine life in their dive spots and that 1st dive would abt 5-7 metres and 2nd would be upto 10 metres based on everyone’s comfort. But it was mostly just below surface…. The worst of all is that The dive spot was dead and there was nothing to see… the fish there could be counted with ur hands…. Also we got deceived when they said 2 different dive locations for each dive and in reality it was just 2 sides of the boat anchored in the same place… After a terrible experience and on telling abt all that went on out there the company started offering another dive for free…. None of us wanted to go…. Except for just 1 of us rest of us didn’t go for the 2nd dive also…. Basically their dive spots were dead and moreover we felt every trip with these guys had chance of adding more pollution in the ocean… After narrating the experience the company wouldn’t refund our money and rather offers another dive for free… anyhow unless someone wants to waste thei money, I’d say don’t even try….

Very good! Would recommend for a small boat and crew experience.

The dive master and boat were attentive, it was a very intimate experience with only 3 divers. I did have trouble keeping up with the pace of the dive master, he was quick. But the coral wasn’t very lively. Life of the reef isn’t the fault of the company, it’s sad it wasn’t more vibrant with fish life and colour. Dive company was very good though.

Einfach super!

Die Crew an Board war unglaublich witzig, und man hat ihnen angesehen wie viel ihnen ihr Job wirklich Spaß macht. Die Einleitung zu den Geräten und co wurden uns mehrmals erklärt und sie stellten auch sicher, dass jeder einzelne an Board (waren eine kleine Gruppe), egal wie gut oder schlecht man Englisch spricht, es verstanden hat. Wir waren bis zu satte 10.8 Meter unter Wasser und die Verhältnisse von Tauchlehrer und Gast waren mindestens 1:2, und bei uns zumindest zur Hälfte der Zeit sogar 1:1. Wir haben Unterwasser wie auch auf Land diverse Übungen gemacht, dass auch wir uns sicher fühlen egal was ist. Für alle von uns an Board war das das erste mal tauchen. Wir haben einiges gesehen von kleine Clownfische (Spoiler: wir haben Nemo gefunden), bis hin zu Tintenfische, Seesterne, Anemonen, andere Bunte Fische…etc… Leider war das Riff recht abgestorben obwohl einige Tiere dort lebten. Dafür kann aber die Crew nichts, und trotzdem war es ein Erlebnis das wir sofort wieder buchen würden. Alleine für die Crew an Board die sehr aufmerksam waren und sehr unterhaltsam.

Mega experience at great diving spots

We were picked up on time for our experience and after checking our details and diving information we were off. Both our diving guide and the rest of the staff on board were super funny and nice. Our group was so small that we basically had a private tour. There was fruit and other snacks and drinks on board. The two dives were also great and the guide showed us lots of things underwater that we would definitely have missed. Overall a really successful event that we would book again at any time!
