VIP tour

I really enjoyed our tour. Our tour guide Nui (I don’t know how to write correctly) was amazing, very knowledgeable and very kind. I’d booked in last minute and at the end, it was a VIP tour (only my family). The van was super clean and comfy. They gave us fresh water and a cold towel to refresh ourselves. Really recommend it.

Big Buddha and Western Phuket.

Phuket’s western beached and the Big Buddha are beautiful! Our guides T and Coffee (nicknames) were outstanding. T gave us so much information an Coffee was a great diver.

Great half day tour but beware the pushy sales people

Nice half day tour with lots of variety. Got to see a bit of everything with the right amount of time. This was exactly what we were after. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The only negative feedback is the sales people at the cashew nut factory souvenir store and the gem factory. At both places the staff were extremely pushy which made it an unpleasant experience. If it wasn’t for this, I would’ve rated this tour 5 stars.

Phuket Half Day City Tour

Four of us did a private half day tour in Phuket. Yoh was our tour guide and she was excellent. We allowed Yoh to plan out our itinerary and she took us to 5 different sites that gave us a great taste of the Thai culture. The sites were varied and memorable. From the intricate architecture of the Wat Chalong Temple, to the panoramic views of the city from look-out points, to the immense and impressive Big Buddha statue, we thoroughly enjoyed this short tour of Phuket. Yoh was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. The tour bus was comfortable and the driver is to be commended for his driving on the many narrow winding roads. Yoh also gave us recommendations for other places to visit around Phuket (including places to eat and massage parlors). We would definitely recommend this tour company and specifically the tour operator.

Best guide in Thailand so far "Bonus"!

Thank you very much our guide Bonus/Anas was excellent best guide we had in Thailand so far! Good English, knowledge and takes care of you all the time! You will see phukets highlight in 5 hours. Would recommend to skip the jewelry it has a bad reputation (just check google) for such a great tour and spend more time on old town phuket or somewhere else.

Only Way to See Phuket

Adah ( I am probably misspelling your name and I apologize) was our guide and Uncle Thai was our driver. First off the van was comfortable, clean, and very cool- which was very welcome. Uncle Thai was a great driver! Adah's spirit was so energetic and enjoyable! Explained the history and the importance of the temples. We have amazing photos to share and frame when we get home. This is the only way to see Phuket. Nicole and Andre thank you and will always remember this! THANK YOU!!

Great value! Private and very informative

Amazing ! Catering to what your group likes and dislikes , Yo is a fantastic guide , all sites enjoyable recommend , good shopping for those that want the less intense shopping experience, go to the local food it’s wonderful, the cashews ! Yum yum yum 😃 The temples and views are to die for !

Nice tour except for the gem store

I really enjoyed our guide, so energetic, kind, and full of life. We got a good understanding of Phuket and really enjoyed Big Budda and Wat Chalong temple. The tour ended at a gem store where we were handed off to a very pushy sales person to try and get us to buy jewelry; it was very off-putting and as a result I can't give this tour 5 stars. Other than that we had a nice day and really enjoyed our guide.

Tigers, elephants, and Buddha oh my…

I can’t possibly express how great this private tour was. Woody and Thai were absolutely amazing and so very nice. They improvised because of the rain and I got to feed with a baby elephant and to play with Tigers - both things were amazing but also scary! Woody made sure that I saw everything that I wanted and also was kind enough to provide me with an umbrella - he actually wanted to hold it for me but I wouldn’t let him. The beauty of a private tour is that you can change on the fly which is well worth the extra cost. Woody was a fountain of information and even made suggestions for my next trip to Phuket. Can’t say enough about how kind he was. The only thing that I feel like I missed were the monkeys at the Big Buddha but apparently they don’t like rain either. We went all over the island and honestly I had no idea there were all of those other parts of Phuket. Totally changed my impression of Phuket.

Nice mix if stops on this very good tour

Easily organized, great guides thanks Ada, polite careful full driver and took in the major tourist sites of Phuket. 8.30 pickup which isn’t too early and a chance to walk around old town Phuket to finish with some lunch.

Amazing guide and experience

Woody our tour guide was amazing! He was so full of information not only at our tour stops, but also pointing out things along the way and sharing extra information. At each of the stops he walked around with us for a short while pointing out things and sharing his knowledge before giving us some free time to wonder by ourselves. He was very pleasant and patient with us as we ended up spending more time at locations that originally plans and we would highly recommend booking this tour! The driver and was lovely and the van we used was very clean and comfy, they even provided us with water, snacks and a cold facecloth to cool us down throughout the journey. Overall an amazing experience

Woody is our guide. Mr M is our driver. My mum and I enjoy the tour very much. My mum can't climb stairs and understand English. Woody is very patient to walk slowly and wait for me to translate to my mum on his commentary. Mr M has also provide us drink and cold disposal small towel during the tour. Strongly recommend them for their service.

First class day out

A fantastic day out, our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and shared lots of interesting facts as we drove between destinations. Gave us a great introduction to the area and we saw so many places in a short time.

Excellent private tour

A great tour for the start of your holiday. Woody was our tour guide and after reading other reviews was delighted when I saw this! He did not disappoint. We are a family if 3 (our son is 12) and Woody made sure to engage with us all. He was witty and very informative. He gave us free time to explore but also as he got to know us he built the day around our interests! Thank you Woody and our driver for a fabulous day!

Phuket day tour

Very good driver and guide. We were a family of 5 who wanted to see some of the main attractions of Phuket within a reasonable time scale. Adha was friendly and informative. Only negative was the gem trading company visit at the end of the tour. Not interested and a bit weird.

Good places visited

Great tour guide funny informative and kind. We had bad weather at first but did not spoil trip. Felt a little under pressure to buy things at the cashew factory snd gem factory and a little rushed through town.

Best introductory to Thailand tour ever!!!

Tour of Phuket, Thailand

Excellent tour with Adah, our guide. Our driver was wonderful as well. Our tour of Wat Chalong, Big Buddah & Gemstones, was exceptional.

Great Private Trip - must book!

We had an absolutely wonderful time with our private guide Woody and driver A. As we travelled with 2 kids, 9 & 7 - Woody rearranged the timings of the visits to accommodate the kids and spend longer where they enjoyed. The temple and big Buddha were my favourites and the views from the view points were incredible! We got to sample lots of cashews at the factory and was a lovely touch to the tour! We also got to spend an hour in Phuket old town which was beautiful and would love to re-visit on our trip!

Comfortable and flexible

Yo was a great guide. She spoke English well and was easy to communicate with. We were able to go to all the places and stayed longer or shorter wherever we wanted.

Great intro to South Phuket

This was a great private tour for the two of us. Air con minibus. We had Woody as the guide and ‘A’ as the expert driver. Pick up at hotel and on time. Saw all places on the itinerary and given plenty of time for photos and to wander around. We learnt so much from Woody about the history of the island, Thai culture and about Buddhism (other religions mentioned also). Woody very open to questions. We didn’t want to go to the gem factory at the end so they took us into Old Phuket Town where we had an hour to wander round and get a drink/snack. They both looked after us. Bottle of cold water, cold flannel, paper for the toilet (toilet stops available at most of the stops). All in all a great few hours well spent and would highly recommend .

Fabulous overview of Phuket

Woody was an awesome guide, a great communicator, and had great knowledge! All of our questions were answered. We saw a lot of the island on our tour! We would highly recommend this tour!

Perfect way to start our trip!

Tipp and Pon were amazing! Very knowledgeable and super easy to get along with. Loved the pace of the tour, seeing the temples, and awesome local food spots! Good idea to do this trip earlier in the day to avoid the temple rush and early in your trip to get a great overview of everything Phuket has to offer. Recommend this tour highly!

Good start to our vacation

Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We got some great views of the area from the Big Buddha. The temple was also very beautiful.

Amazing Tour guide

My Thai tour guide Tipp was amazing. She was knowledgeable, very very courteous , caring, professional and overall provided an amazing experience. Also, the car was very comfortable and my tour guide Tipp took care of me like an elder sister. She not only made sure that within a limited time I get to see all the major attractions for the Phuket island, but also helped me book the elephant sanctuary tour, right after our tour as well as the return cab to airport the next day. Tipp truly showed me what Thai hospitality is!

Great private tour, Yo came to pick us up at our resort and curated a thoughtful tour for us. We opted to skip the cashew factory and jewelry stop as we were still jet lagged but we loved all the viewpoints and big Buddha

Our guide, Kat, was so lovely and filled us in with facts galore. We thoroughly enjoyed the Bug Buddha and meditating underneath was extremely magical.

Phuket introduction and sights in comfort

Wonderful destinations and great learning about Phuket and Thailand from our guide Woody. He was very knowledgeable about local history and customs, which added a lot to the experience. We were given plenty of time to walk around and explore each destination as well. Our driver, A, was excellent. One of our group had been struggling with motion sickness on every van ride but didn’t have any with A driving.

Awesome custom experience

Our guide, T, and driver, Mr. A we’re fantastic. They went above and beyond to customize our private island tour on the busy Father’s Day weekend. It was so much fun! As our tour wound down, T took us to a small family restaurant in old Phuket for an amazing lunch. I will ask for them again on our next visit

Dont miss this tour while you are in Phuket

We had a fantastic day out. We took this tour in July 2020 during the covid pandemic. This tour was booked with tripadvisor as the prices for a private tour was excellent. The guide Nicky picked us up wearing his mask and squirting our hands with the sanitiser. We went first to the krone's viewpoint where we had the best views of the beaches. Then onto the temple where we went to the top floor and could see the great area here and we had a lovely walk through the area. We also went to the south to the viewpoint which was so wonderful and we could see the ocean and also the peninsula. The big buddha was the best as its a huge area and Nicky took us to the best parts, he also brought us a fresh coconut to try. We also went to the cashew nut factory and we brought a few bags. You can also sample and you have to try the wasabi flavour. There is so much on this tour. The day the guide and driver wear wearing masks throughout, we had hand sanitiser in the van with us so we could clean at each stop. Safety was a big concern and I Asia Thailand throughout were on top form!

Great half day overview of phuket. Beaches were great!

Our tour guide Leee was very nice and informative. We visited 2 viewpoints, wat chalong the temple, phuket old town, cashew nuts and gems factories. My family enjoyed the tour. Thee highlight for was the big buddha statue. We recommend the private option as the guide really tailer made our tour

Fantastic morning out with our own guide and driver!

The pick up was efficient and punctual. The guide Ms Tip could speak English and also we booked a private tour as we knew this tour was very popular. There is so much included and so many stops including view points and the beautiful big buddha and famous temple. The Cashew nut factory was really nice as you get to taste for free the nuts. You can choose to buy too if you like. It is excellent overview of Phuket for first timers. You will enjoy the relaxing drive with nice air con.

Fantastic day out around Phuket

The experience was excellent. We were able to see Phuket’s different places. Out expectations were met. The service was good and we were picked-up as scheduled. We had our own private van and guide (woody) and it made a great difference. Half day was not enough. Fantastic value for a private tour. Beautiful place indeed!

Private is the better option for this amazing tour

We had Julie as our Tour guide. She was very sweet and very informational. It’s definitely well worth the money! It was super cool at the big Buddha I got blessed by a monk. I had a lot of fun and you should def book this tour if you’re having trouble choosing! Going private means you can change the order and we did and stopped at a few more beaches too

Amazing Thai Buddhist Temple and historic Sino-Portuguese colonial house = highlights of tour

I booked this tour in advance and was able to customize it to fit our needs by emailing nick@iasiathailand.com and corresponding with Nick Critelli. He was wonderful to work with, answering all of my emails promptly and helping to arrange pickup from the cruise dock + adding the Baan Chinpracha House to our itinerary. Our lovely guide, Joy, met us at the cruise ship dock, and we headed out in a large, comfortable van with a wonderful driver, to see the Kata beach. Joy gave us background on Phuket as we drove. We made our way to Karon beach viewpoint where we overlooked three beautiful beaches below. We drove by Prometh Cap as we headed to the Big Buddha. On our way up the mountain we saw many elephants, unfortunately, standing in chains, waiting to provide rides for tourists--a sad sight. The views of Phuket Town and the Andaman Sea from the Big Buddha were amazing. Next we headed for Chaithararam (Wat Chalong), a beautiful Thai Buddhist temple—a real highlight of the tour. The grounds contained several chapels and a 60-meter Chedi (pagoda) that was magnificent. Each floor had a beautiful chapel with golden statues and amazing, vibrantly-colored wall paintings depicting scenes from the Jataka (the previous lives of Buddha). Views of the grounds and other chapels from the upper floors were stunning. It was a joy to wander through the beautifully manicured gardens and other chapels. We happened to be there on the one day each year that one special chapel was open to the public and were amazed by the crowds that were going in to pray and to place pieces of gold leaf on the weathered statues of the monks inside. Beautiful vases full of incredible lotus flowers adorned the chapel, incense was burning in a stove outside, and firecrackers were being set off. It was truly magical! Next stop was a cashew factory, where we saw how the nuts were processed and sampled a variety of cashew products. Then it was on to Baan Chinpracha, the only Sino-Portuguese-style colonial house open to the public—another highlight. The current owners, who still live there, are 6th-generation descendants of the 1903 original owners so there was much history apparent in the furnishings (lots of beautifully-carved wooden pieces with mother-of-pearl inlay and many family pictures). The house was built around a lovely fountain/garden area which was open through the second story to a large skylight above—very light and airy. Outside was another lovely garden with a lily pond. Our final stop was the biggest jewelry store ever. Before we could go into the showroom, we had to take a Disney-like ride through the story of how gems are created and mined. This was the only part of the tour that we disliked. Otherwise it was wonderful. We appreciated Nick’s help in tailoring the tour to our needs and really enjoyed both our guide and our driver. Thanks for making our tour of Phuket so special!

So MUCH FUN!

Tour was excellent. We had a guide Toy who was not only knowledgable about Phuket, but she made the tour fun and interesting. We were never pressured to hurry up anywhere. She took her time with us and let us take how long we needed at each location. She would brief us on all the stops so we knew exactly what we were seeing. If you are ever in Phuket, ask for the tour guide Toy. She is absolutely the best.

This was an amazing experience! All my friends all had a blast! We had a private guide so we could change the itinerary and the tour guide was amazing and he even went out of his way to take some amazing photos of us all. We enjoyed the Big Buddha so much and also the 2 viewpoints. The tour guide also took us to a secret spot where we were able to get an amazing view of Phuket without any tourists.

An amazing experience to visit the best areas in Phuket

I Asia Thailand did an outstanding job of designing this tour with their fabulous recommendations. It was an amazing experience! I met others who were from the UK and we had a blast! The tour guide Woody was amazing and he even went out of his way to take some amazing photos of us, highly recommend. The tour guide also took us to a secret spot where we were able to get an amazing view of Phuket! We really enjoyed the cashew nut factory and trying to shell the cashews was really fun. We ended up at the jewel factory which Woody said was an option or back to the hotel. We decided to stay and glad we did. Had no idea how they made the jewels and the workmen inside were so clever and to see them up close making rings and necklaces were fascinating! This was without doubt the best tour in Phuket we tried and what amazing value!

Phuket Half Day Tour

We had an excellent guide and driver. Sompong was very knowledgeable and very attentive to our interests. Had a great experience and saw some amazing sights in Phuket. Highly recommend this tour and guide.

Wonderful tour! Great tour guide

We decided to go on a private tour as there were 4 of us. It was well worth it! We had such a great time on our tour! Kat was on time, she was patient, informative, and most importantly, HILARIOUS! We really enjoyed her tour as she explained everything in depth at all the stops. We stopped to see the Phuket View Point which was beautiful! She also took our pictures without any problem. Then we went to the Big Buddha where she explained how it was built and various other things while inside, this was beautiful. We donated some baht and designed our own leaf that we were able to put up anywhere we wanted on the walls. She then took us down to get blessed by a monk who tied a bracelet on us as a thank you. Then we went to Wat Chalong where she explained the history of the various monks and we even participated in various Buddhist traditions such as praying, blessings, and got to see the beautiful temples. Then we went to a cashew factory and got to taste about 20 flavors of cashews, I recommend the Wasabi. We even went to the gem factory which Kat said was not included and this was fascinating to see how gems are made. Kat took pictures of us everywhere we went and knew all the good spots! I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone. Yes its more expensive but your own guide you can swap and change.
