Our tour guide “James Bond” was awesome! Super friendly and knowledgeable teaching us about local plants and temples. Stopped by a cute cafe to get fresh coconut and watermelon. Walked us through how to make a wish at the temple. Lunch was DELICIOUS, very accommodating to my vegetarian diet. Coconut ice cream with honey on top, 5 stars! Thank you for an amazing experience!🙏

Beautiful and Amazing.

The tour was amazing. The tour guide and receptionist were really funny and nice people and made the tour very interesting and informative. The views and tracking path were really beautiful and the lunch provided was really tasty and had a great selection of meals and drinks you could choose. Would definitely recommend this to someone who is planning on visiting Phuket as a first attraction:)

Jungle trekking to big white Buddha

The guide, Mr Bond, was very friendly and helpful all the way through the trekking. Some part was quite steep but manageable. We were a small group, very friendly. It was a nice experience but very hot and humid.

The guide was excellent....

The guide was excellent. We had our 7 year son do the trek. It was not easy but he did it. We took plenty of rest breaks and no pressure was put on us. Very enjoyable.

Very impressive and awe inspiring

This tour is a must of you are in Phuket, our tour guide Bond was very knowledgeable about the area andlocal herbs and customs of Thailand, he had an excellent sense of humor and gave us pertinent information on Buddhism and the mythology of Thailand, the hike was arduous but well worth it for the experience.

Big Buddah Trek

Superb. Well organised from collection by taxi at our hotel in Phuket Town amd drop off at the end. Great tour guide, food and drinks included and guided tour at the Temple. Big Buddah was great as well. Book with confidence. We had a blast

Interesting Tour!

This was a multi-faceted tour. It started with the hike up the mountain to the Big Buddha. While not that long, it was pretty steep in parts. I loved it, but I love to hike. I sensed some of the others were struggling a bit, particularly with the heat. Afterwards, we stopped at a bar/restaurant and had a cool drink and took in lovely views. Then it was off to the Buddha, which was remarkable and truly worth the visit. Finally, we ate a nice lunch at the end of the tour. Our guide (sorry, I can't recall his name), did a great job with the group. If you don't mind a bit of exercise on the front end of the day, I can highly recommend this tour.

Bon was an amazing tour guide. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic throughout. Would highly recommend this tour if you were wanting to experience a bit of nature during your stay in Phuket.

Nice half day trip

Our guides are friendly and helpful, full of humor, lot of fun on the way. A bit walking up steep slopes is involved but lot of distance we have travelled in a van. So good for people who wants to be a bit active but still want something more relaxing.

Best hike to Big Buddha

There are a lot of ways to get to Big Buddha, but this is by far the best way! This has been one of the highlights of our trip! Our tour guides were very knowledgeable, engaging, and most importantly, SO FUN! We were all laughing the whole hike, while learning about the plants and wildlife we come across. It was also great to have a guide that was able to give provide us with the history and traditions of Thailand. We were provided with plenty of water and snacks to keep our energy up, and the lunch at the end was top notch. They took a bunch of great photos of us, too!

Fun experience with CC’s Ecotour through nature and culture!

Jungle hiking tour with CC’s Ecotour was super fun! The guide was very funny as well! Next to that, his English is great and he knew a lot of the history. The hiking was tiring but fun! We also stopped during our hike for a coconut and a little snack. Once at Big Buddha we were allowed to walk around on our own, same at the temple. At the temple we even participated in some of the traditional rituals. We ended the day with delicious lunch!

Big Budda Jungle Trekking with CC's Eco Tours

We had a fantastic day trekking to Big Budda. Bon ( our guide) was amazing. Very informative and helpful. It was a fulfilled day and a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this tour. Bon, Fren and driver were wonderful.

See some jungle instead of a taxi to see Big Buddha

I did the steep hike up to see Big Buddha (wear good shoes!), our guide was the wonderful and humorous James Bond. Hiking up through the jungle, we had plenty of breaks and there was a nice snack waiting us after the hike. Around the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong, our guide told us about the culture and Buddhism, and there was also some time to roam around. And finally a nice lunch. Water bottles were also included. Hiking through the jungle was a lot more interesting way to see the Big Buddha than just taking a bus/taxi.

Great guide

Bon was an excellent guide. He was informative about the plants and natural environment on the jungle trek. He also gave us the history of Buddha and was very kind. I really enjoyed the excursion.

Fun and expert guidance trekking to the big Buddha

We loved this hike to the big Buddha with our wonderful guide Bon! He educated us about the trees, creatures, plants and even saved us from a snake! He was personable, fun and had a great sense of humor! He shared his personal experience as a Buddhist monk and taught us a bit about the history of the Buddha. He brought special unique treats for us to eat, and helped us make an offering in the temple. We were so grateful for his photography skills and he kindly shared some photos at the end of our time together. I highly recommend this adventure and this wonderfully organized company and sweet guide Bon

Amazing experience and our guide Kong was brilliant! Be prepared to do some steep trekking but it’s only 45 minutes! Thank you so much Kong!

James Bond is a legend

We had James Bond as our tour guide and he was amazing. What a great way to see the Big Buddha, and get to know the culture. Absolutely amazing experience

Hiking and sightseeing combo in Phuket.

The trip was worth it. You trek for 1.5km going up 300m; so the path is steep. There are many stops along the way and you can enjoy the views of Kata and Karon beach. The path has a canopy of trees so you don’t have to worry much about the sun. The trekking is moderately challenging. Along the way you will also see some rubber trees and how rubber is harvested. After the trekking you will be served with a coconut juice, a generous portion of water melon, the popular Thai sticky rice dessert at a roadside restaurant with beautiful sea view. After the refreshments you will be driven to the Big Budda. There you will be let alone to explore a bit. You will get the best view of Phuket from the Big Budda. You will see monkeys. The Big Budda itself is majestic. You can also get a blessing from the monks if you want. There are lots of souvenir shops. After Big Budda you will be taken to the biggest temple in Phuket. It’s beautiful and impressive; it was my first time visiting a temple. After the temple you will be driven to an organic farm restaurant where you will be served with you pre-ordered meal and drink. At the start of the tour you are provided with a menu and you can choose one main menu and drink. If you want extra you can pay by yourself. The lunch was amazing; fresh ingredients, great taste, nice presentation. After you are driven back to the starting point ( CC Hideaway) or you can take a taxi back to your hotel. The tour operator organize hotel pickup and drop off but for some areas you have to pay extra for this service. The tour guide Kong was amazing, super friendly, detailed explanation and has a great sense of humor. Thanks Kong!!! Overall the trip is awesome and a must do when you are in Phuket. I would do it again. The tour is only done on Tuesdays and Fridays so plan accordingly.

Buddha and jungle trek - highly recommended

Well organised. Excellent tour leader, informative and was happy to stop as many times as necessary on the trek up. Excellent quality food and drinks provided. Highly recommend this trip, a must.

Great tour with Bon

Bon was a fabulous tour guide! He is funny and kind, as well as very knowledgeable. He gave us lots of information about the flora we came across and about the history and practice of Buddhism. Lunch was at a high quality organic restaurant, which we will be going back to. Very well-worth the money and the highlight of our trip so far.

Big Buddha Trek

Had an amazing day exploring big buddha and the tempel. Our guide Bon has a lot of knowling about the plants and is very funny. The driver Mr. Yuan was always on time and very nice. Would definitly recommend it

Rewarding Hike up Mountain to Big Buddha

Fantastic Hike - somewhat physically demanding initially - as the incline is steep and the weather is hot. But, if you can handle it - it is wonderful. Guide is great (KONG) and the support staff (driver) is wonderful too. The coconut water after the hike was the best food I had in Thailand - the whole trip. Thank you for a great experience.

The Budda trecking

Very organised and an amazing tour guide. It was quite tricky and is required good physical conditions to complete the tour. My son managed to complete and rated it the best ever experience in his life!

I don't love tours, but this was exceptionally well run.

I'm not quite sure I would call this a 'trek'. It's more a walk up rather than driving around. There are some steeper parts, but it was easy. Except for the heat. Wow, it was humid and hot! I did it in flip flops (I hadn't planned for anything like this when I packed). You walk up to a really lovely little local cafe and had such great fruit and some rice wrapped in leaves. Delicious. Then drove up to Big Buddha, and over to some temples. The best thing about this trip was the guide, Kong. He is so personable and nice, and total 'read the room', meaning when everyone was done, he was ready to move the tour along. Can't say enough about him. Lunch was really good, totally surprised that it was at a large very modern restaurant. The whole tour was so well-run and they took care of every need. Cooling wipes, cold water, fresh fruit. Excellent.

Good day out

The guide was really knowledgeable about the plant life and other elements of local life. They were very supportive for those on the tour who were less used to trekking in the heat. Good lunch provided as well

Do you like hiking? Join this tour if you want to see a new look at Phuket! You'll never regret it. The guide 'Kong' is very humorous and bright and takes pictures very well. With him, I learned a lot about tropical nature, and I could see all the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong temples with delicious snacks. Thank you Kong for having a great time. Lunch is really sophisticated and delicious! FYI: I sweat a lot, so it's good to go hiking in Thai pants.

Enjoyable, challenging and worth it!

We really enjoyed our time with Mr Bond, James Bond! He was amazing from the get go. The team at CC hideaway tours were wonderful in organizing our private collection from our hotel in Kalim bay, as well as a taxi into old Phuket Town after the trip. Overall the trip was very enjoyable and pleasant, you defiantly get great value for their services provided. From the moment we started to climb the mountain, our guide was wonderful in stopping us to teach us about parts of the Thai jungle. The trek was about 1km, with sights along the way. Making it to the top, we then stopped at Star Mountain Sunset Cafe, where we were greeted with cold fresh coconuts (or a different drink at your request), watermelon and beautiful sticky mango rice. A delicious snack whilst continuing to enjoy the view. Jumping onto a bus for a 1-minute drive up the hill, we arrived at Big Buddha. It was very peaceful to be there. Again, we were treated with the history of Big Buddha and our guide. Exceptional service followed as we received cold towels and cold water when returning to our bus. Our next stop was at the temple, which again was beautiful and grand. We did not spend a lot of time here, and would have liked a little more, but otherwise it was just enough to take it in. Mr Bond took us through one of the temples to show us the meaning of the stories painted on the walls. Lastly, we were taken to We Cafe, which honestly to our surprise reminded us of being back home in Australia. A beautiful place where they grow their own produce and use it in their dishes. This was a wonderful ending point to the overall trip. A mix between western and Thai food to select.

Great morning out !

Very well organised trip. The walk up at the start is tough in the heat but doable. Kong our guide gave us loads of info throughout the day and was very attentive. Nice stop for drinks and local snacks before going to the big budda and then the temple. Lovely lunch at the end. Thoroughly recommend!

Incredible Tour. Great value!

This trek was amazing value!!!! Great tour guide with multiple stops including: drinking coconut/eating fresh fruit & sticky rice with an incredible view overlooking moutain, visiting Big Buddha, temple tour and delicious meal at the beautiful We Cafe. The trek to Big Buddha is a challenging 1hr steep climb. Of our group of 18 people, only 12 finished. Do not sign up for this tour if you are not in decent shape or you will not finish.

Amazing Buddha Trek

Our guide Kong was amazing! Started at CC’s Hideaway where we pre ordered our lunch while we waited for all tour members. In the end they didn’t arrive so it was just the 2 of us (plus Kong) on the adventure. We did the longer hike around and up the mountain learning about Thailand along the way. Once we arrived at the Big Buddha we enjoyed fresh fruit and a coconut to drink then continued up to the sight itself. As it is a morning activity the crowds were still quite small so gave us better opportunities for pictures etc. Following this it was a quick ride to Chalong Temple where we wandered around the gardens and in and out of the various buildings on site. Kong was super friendly, let us lead the way on time in each area. The tours ends with lunch and it didn’t disappoint! YUM. If you like to be active and see the sights without sitting in a van all day, this is definitely the tour for you!

Challenging hike on a warm day, but really worth it!

The hike up the mountain (roughly 2 km, some of it very steep) was challenging on a hot and humid day (I'm 65 and was feeling a bit under the weather that day), but really worth it! Our guide was very cheerful and professional, and provided a lot of interesting information about the jungle and the agriculture that goes on in this area. The views were spectacular, and the stop at the top for fresh coconut milk and to take in the view of the Indian Ocean was very welcome at the end of the climb. I didn't go on to see the big Buddha or the other elements of this tour, but my son did and he was really pleased. If you like hiking and want to learn something about the local ecosystem and see some spectacular views, I really recommend this tour!

Amazing experience!!

The excursion was simply amazing. It's a good mixture between sportive activity, food and culture. The lunch was very delicious. The whole experience was accompanied by our guide Kong, which was very informative, helpful and entertaining. Thank you, I highly recommend this tour!

Well worth booking!

Kong our guide was knowledgeable, informative and great company! The whole trip was well planned and we were so glad we booked! The trekking part was nice and quiet and not touristy. The food at the both cafe's was excellent. Highly recommend.

Good hike to Big Buddha, beautiful temple, high end lunch

Great hike with a guide very well informed of local fauna. It was fairly strenuous and followed by fruit and a small native dessert. The Big Buddha is amazing. Next was a short drive to a large buddhist temple where we were introduced to taking part in a Buddhist ceremony. The restaurant at the end was fantastic: they grew their own vegetables and our guide ordered our meal ahead of time so there was no waiting despite a large lunchtime crowd. I would do this tour again; it was a good value.

Jungle walk and Big Buddha Tour

Good day out. One of only two trips we could see in Phuket that actually take you into the countryside (why not more). Our guide (Kong) was polite, informative and generally excellent. It was also a great way to see the Buddha and temples.

Fun trek through the jungle to get to the Big Buddha. Good bit of exercise done for the day too! Couple of great food stops too to try some local Thai food.

Worth it !

An amazing trekk! Even with the rainy weather this was worth it for the experience and the views . We had an amazing lunch and Kong was the best guide I’ve had while in Thailand. A ten out of ten .

Adventurous, cultural and best guide 🙏

James Bond was an amazing guide for mum and daughter tour. We loved the challenging trek thru the jungle. The Big Buddha and Temple was very interesting finishing off with a tasty lunch.

A healthy adventure to Big Buddha

We had awesome trip to Big bhuddha with Bond and team. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional crew. Don’t want to miss mentioning delicious and healthy organic vegetarian food. One of a kind experience and don’t miss it.

Fun exercise!

Great work out! Please note that you don’t need to be in great shape. Just expect to sweat a ton! You start walking up to the Buddha from a resort nearby. The tour guide was great! When we go to the Buddha we had an amazing view of Phuket.

Great guide but overall tour isn't great.

The tour guide we got was great, funny and engaging, but the tour wasn't so great. The hike was mostly just walk on a road and not on a trail, and the big buddha and the other temple wasn't so interesting or engaging as we thought. When we did temple tours in the north it was way more detailed and there were much more explanation on thai/Buddhism traditions.

Fun trip, all fitness levels, best tour guide ever!

I joined the retreat with aim to improve my fitness level as I have been weak since I recovered from covid in March. I joined the big Buddha Trekking tour with “James Bond”, Bond is funny and caring. When he first met the group, he spent efforts on remembering everyone’s names. The hike is said to take about an hour, however if you are physically fit, it would probably take you around 40 minutes. I was falling behind as I got tired very easily. I think I was probably slower than the group by spending doubling the time they needed. Bond offered to carry my backpack for me (so sweet! >_<) and he did not rush me for once, he sent her colleague Jenny to look after me and the other girl who were slower. He also checked on us every once a while to make sure we were okay. Jenny is a sweet girl, with rumors that she has high tolerance of Soju. She fell behind and walked with us and pass me the iced water whenever I needed it. I took quite many short breaks and she was very patient with us. At the dessert place, it was a nice view with a sweet doggy named Jen. She enjoyed loves from everyone and you could definitely snap some nice pictures there. At the big Buddha and temple, Bond told us little stories behind some of the Buddha and took pictures for us. The restaurant we were taken to for lunch was awesome, it’s farm to table and the food is with quality. Thank you Bond and Jenny for giving me a really good experience despite I was slowing everyone down.

Bond, Jenny and driver (sorry didn’t catch your name) we’re an amazing. I was a first time trekker. They were so incredibly thoughtful and kept looking out for me. Bond is a phenomenal guide, fun, kind, knowledgeable and kept us fully entertained with all his hilarious stories. Felt very well cared for and enjoyed myself so much!! Khap Khun Kaa!!

Physical + Cultural Enjoyable Trip with nice views by Bond

Nice mixture of physical activity with getting to know some cultural traditions, not a difficult hike, beautiful views, temples are really worth it, our guide Bond has shown us the ritual in the temple and have translated the wishes we got , which made the experience very special. The tour is well organized: water, snacks, coconuts, fruits. Lunch at the restaurant was also good, portions are not huge but tasty! Recommend!
