Overall we have a great experience, however, the facilities and equipments were let it down, all the helmets are broken and very dirty and smelly.

Dismal, unprofessional and overpriced

Dismal. Unroadworthy bikes. The most disorganised setup I have ever seen and I’m pretty widely travelled..Rude unprofessional staff who barely spoke English - stay away.

This business is just a complete scam!!!

If I could rate my experience as a 0, I would!! This experience was extremely disappointing for my family and myself. My father was stuck out in the sand dunes as the chain fell off his quad for what felt like forever. After paying for a 30 minute ride he spent 10-15 minutes being stranded waiting for help which we had to get ourselves as no one was around to assist us. When he was given a second quad, again it was faulty and was returned. When we had explained what happened they were very rude and unhelpful. They had an attitude of “bad luck” and explained that there is nothing they can do. When asked for a refund they said it “wasn’t up to them and they can’t do give us any money back.” So my family spent $80 for less than 20 minutes? How is this fair !!?

Unhappy with the service

I did 30 min hire quad bike at Lancelin, My bike broke down in the dunes, they changed the bike and spent time doing it(almost 10 min) , however they did not considered that and I have to return the bike on time.

They are thieves and robbers from France. Do not pay the AU 250 deposit you will not get it back. They will tell you all sorts of reasons not to give you back the deposit. If there is anyone who knows which government department deals with these thieves from France robbing tourists please help us alert the authorities. That is a well organised group of thieves. They asked us to pay AU 70 for a 30 minute Quad bike for our 13 year old. They told us we need to pay a deposit of AU250. When I asked when I will get my deposit they said in 2 weeks to my shock. My son hardly spent 30 minutes riding as the bike chain kept on comeing off or the bike stopped. When we came back we were rudely told that because my 13 year old sone fell on one of the dunes we were no longer going to get our deposit. They threatened us saying they grew us in the streets of France and there is nothing we could do.

Lancelin sand fun

Great experience and well worth doing if you are in Lancelin and have a couple of hours. We hired 1 x 2 seater buggy and 1 x Quad. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and provide a safety briefing. Given different levels of customer expertise the staff try to cater for all requirements. Well worth the experience!

Crap and boring

One of the most dissapointing things I’ve ever done, wouldn’t go any faster than 20kmh and for $250 is a total waste of time,my daughter could ride faster on her push bike. Very annoyed and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone

Really disappointing and a waste of money

Terrible experience. Went up there with kids and half of the bikes didnt work so we spent an hour sitting on the sand at the foot of the first dune. The young French guys who work there are great and doing the best but the equipment - bikes helmets goggles - is in terrible condition. No refund and no offer of a replacement ride. Emailed multiple times about a replacement ride and no response after a couple weeks. Waste of $500.

Booked on their 2 seater buggy x 2 as the 4 seater are not available on weekdays! Great adventures and tours around Lancelin. Staffs are nice and good. Worth it 👍🏻

Sandboard and quad bike

We booked for 2 online. Easily to find. The staff is very friendly. Before to go, the guide give a good safety briefing and then led us on an expedition of the dunes. It was a really good experience, I recommend it !

Misleading prices

Don’t buy from Tripadvisor/ Viator, misleading pricing. They show a dollar sign ($) in front of the price and advertise it as “lowest price guarantee”, once you purchase it the charge on your credit card is in American dollar. Dodgy and dishonest. Cheaper buying direct from the service provider. Groups should be smaller (too many vehicles at once). Guides are friendly and the instructions are simple and clear.

Viator/ Tripadvisor misleading pricing. Groups too big.

MISLEADING PRICING Don’t buy from Viator/ Tripadvisor. They put the price with a dollar sign ($) and advertise it as the “lowest price guarantee”, however once purchased, the amount charged from your credit card is in American dollars; dodgy and dishonest. It’s cheaper to buy direct from the service provider. Regarding the ride, the group was too big (around 25 vehicles). They put solo bikes, double bikes, buggies and smaller bikes all together in one group which makes it very hard to coordinate and control everyone with some people getting lost and holding up the remainder of the group. They should try using smaller groups.

Fun whilst it lasted

Great place to spend a couple of hours, amazing vistas and good fun, down side, lots of slow beginner’s, I felt the need for speed.

Lancelin Dune as a birthday gift

We booked a 2 person Buggy for a birthday experience on 22.2.23 The crew gave a good safety briefing and then led us on an expedition of the dunes. We stopped for some pictures on a high dune. It was a good group and the guides were experienced and made it enjoyable.

Well worth doing

This was a lovely experience start.to finish. Easily booked on line. Smooth check in on arrival. Quads were well maintained. Instruction was simple and concise. Guide was pleasant helpful and fun

A great experience!

Our booking time was 10am and we arrived early, to see nothing had been setup. Apparently, they experienced some issue with their trailer, and took some time to resolve it, before able to setup the bikes. By the time we can register, it was already 1130am. We booked for buggy online but was informed that buggy was not available and offered us quad bike solo instead. Since we were already there and waited so long, we took the offer. Both Anthoine and Enzo were very patient with us as I was a slow rider. We had a stop on the sand dunes for photo and water break. Quite tiring to ride under the hot sun. Still, this is an experience to go for!

Endless blue skies over endless white dunes. How perfect.

Two of us had a great time with Enzo on a 90 min quad tour. These are fast and powerful bikes and we explored the breadth of the amazing dunes fully. Add to that blue skies and light winds, it was a perfect day out.

Fun Quad Bike Ride

We drove up to Lancelin on Sunday 5th February, the team at Perth Quad were great to liaise with, a special callout to Joe as he was our guide and he was awesome and to Enzo who checked that everyone was comfortable with their helmets and goggles. The team were onsite early to set up and ready to go as the first group came in. A fun, friendly and efficient team.

Good experience

We went there on Friday Jan/2023. We booked 10:00 am round and were told to arrive 15 mins before time. As we arrived, the staffs were still arranging their shop and vehicles. Nobody told us anything, to wait or to do what?!?! The staff team is French speakers. They don’t officially opened until about 10:00. After all the wait and checking in, the tour started. The crews (3 staffs were with the group) were very good, looking after us. We got a 10YO on a kid bike and there was always at least 1 staff riding at the end with us, sometime one even rode by our kid’s side. The landscape is a nature wonder perfect for quad bike riding. Impressive !! Our bikes were powerful but not sure about how clean their helmets so if you are worried about COVID, wear your own mask. The helmet covers nose and mouth protecting you from hot sand so they have been covering other’s mouths and noses. Our kid loves it and looking forward to returning, will be more prepare next time. Thanks to all the crews for looking after us.

Experience was great but book directly

Be sure to book through perthquad directly using their website. Don't use third party services since the listing was poorly advertised as it showed use of both buggies and quads and then booked us for quads when we wanted the buggies. Disappointed but still had fun

Unorganised

We had a 10am booking and they had over booked. We had to wait 90 minutes or go and do sand boarding. The experience was still good once it started. Take water and there are no toilets.

Perth Quad cum Sandboarding @ Lancelin Sand Dunes

First time trying out quad biking and sandboarding. I must say my family had a blast of our time riding out the interesting and challenging terrain of the Lancelin sand dunes. Beautiful sceneries of the dunes covered along the way. Our guide was considerate as he started with an easier terrain for us to get use to the quad bike, also giving us brief stops along the way to ensure that the whole quad catch up. Great duo biker option as both riders got to try their hands on the bike. Even my kids who rode with us could feel the adrenalin rush & thrill from this experience in this unique landscape. Rated by my family as the best experience for this holiday trip! The 1.5 hour of the ride was certainly worth it, not to mention the free 1 hour sandboarding thereafter. Would certainly do it again if we visit the side dunes in future :)

Superb day

It was a great experience tho it was my 2nd time here. The 2 guys who led us the way throughout our quad bike ride was fun and lovely weather too. Kudos to them. They're in the photo with us.

Don’t go on the tour, do it by yourself. Went so slow and couldn’t overtake people. Guide went slow anyway

Not bad

Weren’t informed that the duo quads barely move, single bikes would have been much more enjoyable. Staff stopped us for an hour in the sun to help some people in a ute who were bogged, being no help in the end. The thought was nice? Lovely spot however and staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the sights even if it was at walking pace.

Worst ride experience

I ride for 30 minutes but they didn’t back my money of another 30 minutes..when i asked them to give me the 30 minutes ride they just told me they don’t have any time now..Worst experience..

Wow that was fun and the team that looked after us on the day 19/8/22 where great really well run tour that my family of 4 went on. Kids 11 and 8 had their own quad bikes and can’t wipe the smile off their faces. This is a must do if you can fit it in the travel budget

We had our deposit of $250 forfeited when the buggy tip over. My daughter sustain injuries yet we were penalised. Terrible experience.

A bunch of fun and adventure for the whole family

Great fun for our whole family incl 3 girls (14, 16 &19). Guides were great and the full 1.5 hours of biking was provided.

Friendly staff, great machines, fantastic views!

Booked online a day before and the entire process was seamless. Arrived on the day itself and asked if I could change my session to a later lot, as I had wanted to visit Namburg National Park first. The cashier/receptionist was extremely accommodating and allowed the change. The guide was very good and brought my family and me on a fantastic 1.5 hour tour of the sand dunes in Lancelin in our quads. The machines are in good shape and very maneuverable. Highly recommended!

Amazing, great guides, great with kids

Amazing! Took a duo quad for an adult and a nine year old and two kids bikes with kids aged 11. Jerome was the nicest sweetest guide always making sure the kids felt safe and confident. Once he know we were happy on the bikes we went right through the dunes, out the back. Some steep hills and big drops but only because we wanted to. Amazing views and time for photo stops. Would 100% go again.

Bucket list fun

We are a family of four with an 8 and 11 year old, and did the quad bike tour with 2 duo quads. Lots of fun very well run and we felt safe and well supervised the entire time. Plenty of adrenalin going up and down the dunes, finished off with some sandboarding fun. Highly recommended.

Disappointing.

The advertisement is really bad, you put private, but it isn't at all, you are in a row with a bunch of 20 or more people. When we asked, the guide of the tour was very quick tempered and arrogant, he Said "you should read what are you buying" It clearly said "private" when you read that you are not waiting for 20 people group. To be fair you have fun, because of the quad, but not because of the people working there.

Going really fast up and down the sand dunes and over taking some of the slower riders. Really good fun I would recommend it to any one.

Me and a few mates (group of 6) did a guided tour. 5 of us were on quads and 1 were on the 2 wheeler! bucket list stuff, very enjoyable. We went through most of the dunes on the 1 hour option, which the man was not fussed that it went over. A great stop off place for families and friends and would definitely recommend it. Thank you to the people for making the experience awesome!!
