A fabulous opportunity to explore the island of Rottnest. And of course, it’s beautiful Quokka residents!! There’s are spots to swim, to eat, to picnic, to drink, to stay (if you had organised it previously) . A fabulous experience and we found the shops and restaurants really reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately due to weather this trip was cancelled. Hopefully we get refunded. All trips were cancelled Saturday.

Memorable

It was a day spent with my brother for his 66th birthday. The weather was fine, sailing was smooth. The boat was well maintained, clean, staff were very happy and friendly. There were many things to do and see while on the island. A very memorable day for both of us. Thankyou all

Rottnest Rocks!!

The whole trip was fantastic from getting on the boat with a bike I’d hired, out across the water to the island. All the different places I visited … some by bike, others via the hop-on-hop-off bus. Everything was just spectacular, and the weather was just perfect.

Wonderful trip

Fast and convenient trip. Recommend to hire a bicycle before boarding to explore every corner in the island

The island was so beautiful and we enjoyed the hop on hop off bus service. It was as fun seeing the quokka’s. I can’t believe how tame they are.

Beautiful island defo worth a visit

Self guided tour. But everything went smoothly from Terrie picking us up in plenty of time for ferry from our hotel, to ferry times and crossing and back again. Wish I would have checked in to staying in the island as 5 hours wasn’t long enough to soak in the beauty of the island. Loved it and definitely hire a bike or take the hop on off bus to see more than the settlement.

Mini holiday

We had discount vouchers from RAC and left it very late to book in. I emailed the company the night before and they responded first thing in the morning and completed booking in time for us to get the ferry. The ferry trip was excellent, comfortable and on time, having the late return at 6.45 gave us extra time to enjoy the island and not rush back .

Great, but....

This day trip cost around £45 each ($90ish) and we left the Hillarys around 10.00am. The Fast Ferry was busy as it was holiday time, but quick at about 40 minutes. The Island itself has some stunning bays, we set off walking around the northern shore from the Settlement. However, being a still, sunny day the flies were really annoying and extremely persistent, making it quite unpleasant. Fortunately the breeze got up and the problem was much less later in the day, but had it not the day would have been a bit miserable as the insects were constant. We thought about getting the bus South when back at the Settlement around lunchtime, however we didn't realise that the bus only went one way around the Island (anticlockwise) meaning we would run out of time, which was disappointing. However, talking to the Rangers it appeared that they have a series of free 'tours' that they run during the day including a walking 'Quokka tour' which took around 45 minutes around the Settlement and was really informative. It also pointed our popular viewpoints and photo opportunities that we took advantage of. The food and drink in the Settlement was reasonably priced. The dock was extremely busy at 4.30pm with many ferries leaving at exactly the same time (!?). The Fast Ferry we got back was an older one and not as well appointed as the first crossing, but the crossing time was still the same. A reasonable value day out but if you add in the almost necessary bus ticket or bike hire, it could be quite expensive for a family.

Awesome trip to Rotto with Rottnest Fast Ferries!

Rottnest is an amazing place and Rottnest Fast Ferries made the trip there and back so easy! Everything ran very smoothly and all the staff were excellent to deal with! An added plus is the free parking at Hillary's! Would highly reccomend!

Stunning Views and beaches.

Beautiful beaches and snorkelling. Great restaurants and scenery. Accomodation was lacking in comfort and felt slapdash. The quakes are adorable.

Great experience

Booking was easy and there were no issues with us making a couple of changes close to the day. Booked the hop on and hop off bus for 2 days and we lost our second day ticket. One quick call to the office and they emailed an updated confirmation meaning that we did not have to pay again. Highly recommend.

A fabulous experience!

We booked a return trip for an over night stay. Our trip to Rotto was a very "motionful" one battling choppy waters but the staff were very helpful handing out sea sickness bags and cold cloths to affected people. Our trip back to Hillarys the next day was much more smoother and also carried much less people. We sat out in the open air and enjoyed the view from the upper level which I think also helped overcome any motion sickness. Over all from ease of booking, value for money, enjoyment of service and customer service of all staff enconuntered I highly recommend Rottnest Fast Ferries!

Nice and easy pace

A stunning day Mid-August, not too hot and not too cold. Booked the hop on/ hop off bus intending to go right around the island first and pick places to go next. Decided to get off at the inland Lighthouse and walked up the easy grade. Olga the guide in the lighthouse was very informative and took us to the top, explaining all the way. Stunning pictures taken. We returned to the bus stop and continued our journey back to the settlement. Had lunch and wondered around the shops, sculptures, waterfront and jetty. Returned at 4.30pm to the ferry, nice and easy pace.

Great Company to travel to Rottnest with.

From booking to finish, the crew and staff on Rottnest Fast Ferries were helpful and friendly. The ferry was modern, clean and fresh. An amazing experience all round. Very glad I picked them to travel with to Rottnest Island.

Rottnest is absolutely beautiful. The hop on hop off bus was great. Would have been good to have an alternative time to return to the mainland.

Excellent value and a great way to visit Rottnest

We were picked up at 8.30am from a hotel very close to where we were staying. The bus was on time and our driver Terry gave us information about the day as we drove towards Hillarys Boat Harbour. There was time for coffee and a croissant at one of the cafes at the boat harbour before we boarded the boat at 9.45. The crossing was a bit rough but the staff were helpful and asked those who preferred a calmer trip to move towards the back of the boat. On Rottnest we joined the hop-on-hop-off bus (booked when we reserved the ferry tickets) which was a really good way to see the island if bikes are not for you. There are 19 stops, the whole circuit takes about an hour, and the buses are roughly every 20 minutes so there are plenty of opportunities to get off and explore the beaches. The bus driver gave us lots of information on the way round, and about what to see at each stop. The views are truly spectacular, and we saw plenty of wildlife - apart from quokkas, we saw a snake, skink, pelicans and lots of other birds. We got off at Stop 19, Geordie Bay and walked the 2km along the coast back to the ferry terminal area where we had lunch at the local bakery and visited the museum. Winter is a great time to visit Rottnest, as the museum guide told us it gets extremely busy in summer, bikes are hard to get and the cafes have long queues. We took the 4.30 ferry back to Hillarys, where a minibus was waiting to take us straight back to the hotel. An excellent day out, highly recommended.

Worth seeing every was amazing

The boat trip was lovely, enjoyed looking around the island. So many people loving the Quokka, beautiful animals. Enjoyed the bus trip where we could stop at different stops.

Family Fun in paradise!

The fast ferry from Hillarys was excellent. We had perfect weather so it was a very smooth ride over. A friend had travelled to Rottnest earlier in the year and her kids got seasick as there was a swell. Her travel tip was to take Travel Calm for the ferry ride. Rottnest was absolutely gorgeous and we had a great time as a family biking around the island. We hired the bikes through Fast Ferry which was super easy and I also hired a couple of snorkelling packs as well. Glad I did as we all had a snorkel at Little Salmon Bay. The water was pristine and there were lots of fish. The Island is easy to navigate and there are plenty of food supplies at the Port where you arrive. At the end of the day it was lovely to enjoy a beer at the Rottnest Hotel while we waited for our return trip back to Perth. We loved meeting the Quokkas too! All in all, a fantastic day out and we'd love to go back!

Great day from start to finish!

A great experience from pick up by Terry our driver to the boat and return. Great personality and very obliging. Set the mood for a great day.with his commentary and treatment of his passengers. Check in on the boat went smoothly and the boat staff where helpful for passengers who suffered a little sea sickness due to the swell on the day The only locally owned company so glad we picked this company to tour with to Rottnest Island, highly recommend this company.

Trip to Rottnest

No fuss. Quick and easy to board. Took a little longer to get off but that is completely understandable as the ferry was at capacity. Great experience. Rottness Island was fantastic.

Family day out

The ferry trip was fun, and sailed on time. It was a lovely day out, it was sunny but not too hot, and a very pleasant day out.

Rottnest, so much to see and do, without breaking the bank.

The occasion was my sons 25th birthday which coincided with the freo to Rottnest swim, the island was packed with festivities and people. The weather was beautiful and the water was even more so, for so many people packed on the beach with hundreds of boats and vessels moored along the island the crowds were amazingly well behaved. 2nd year in a row, I’d definitely do it again.

A perfect dau

We enjoyed a perfect day on Rottnest Island. We loved that the 7:30 ferry arrived at 8:15, giving us the opportunity to visit a few beaches while they were still uncrowded/empty. We felt like the timing made our day extra special. The ferry was comfortable, arrived on time and provided a smooth ride. We also purchased the explorer bus pass, which was a perfect option for us.

We had an awesome time with Rottnest Fast Ferries! The team was super friendly and had helpful recommendations. So great that there is a ferry departing and arriving from/to Hillarys! Definitely gonna recommend, would book again!

Hot day at Rotto

Getting there quickly and smoothly. The hop on hop off bus was the way to get around the island. Biking was too hard in the hot weather.

Great experience with Rottnest Fast Ferries Hillary's

I went to Rottnest Island through Hillary's Boat Harbour Fast Ferries on the 19th of April 2022. It was a fantastic experience, the workers at the front office were very lovely and were extremely helpful. The workers on the ferry were careful with bikes and luggage and it was a smooth trip. The music was relaxing and they were very friendly. I would highly recommend the Rottnest Ferry from Hillary's Boat Harbour to families and friends going on a day trip.

Not a good ending!

My family and I were very excited about heading over to Rotto to celebrate my husband and my wedding anniversary on the 25th Jan staying overnight and spending Australia Day swimming, biking riding and snorkelling on the beautiful island. We checked out of our hotel and our locked up luggage was transferred over to the Ferry to come back on the 4.30 boat ( they weren’t bringing luggage back on the 6.45pm boat unfortunately) Being Australia Day we took the option of catching the extra late ferry back at 6:45pm After arriving back to Hillarys at about 8pm, we went to collect our luggage but it was nowhere to be seen! My eldest daughters suitcase was there but our large bag was not. The offices were all closed and the two people on duty said that it had probably gone to another port. Being okay with this as accidents do happen I thought it would eventually turn up the next day. But unfortunately nearly 4 weeks later we lost everything with fast ferries refusing to take any responsibility! I have lodged a police report but unfortunately there are no cameras in the area where they leave your bags. We lost a fair few things in our bag and the hindrance of all my cancer medication, it really put a dampener on our little getaway. I just want people to be vigilant because security and the way that your luggage is left sitting there is very unsafe, yes they say it works like an airport but in airports there are cameras so you can see if your luggage has been taken. Anyone can easily go and take a bag from the storage crates. I thought that some form of compensation from their side would have been honoured but no!!!! Not even a free trip back there one day. So like I said previously, please be vigilant of your luggage as it is not left in a safe environment if you are not coming back at the same time!

BOOKED A TICKET FOR TWO / NO SEATS AVAILABLE

The trip back from Rottnest Island was not good, we were one of the last few people to board the ferry and there were no seats available. There could have been seats available but a lot of people put their luggages /backpacks on the seats not thinking about others. I hope the crew members took time to find people seats as we booked the ferry ticket thinking we will have seats guarateed.

Great Day Out

Fast Ferries provided a good service and the trip over and back was pleasant. It only takes about 45 mins from Hilary's and staff made sure that we're well looked after. It's quiet on the way over but very busy on the way back.

Watching my grand daughter (who has never been to Rottnest) get so much joy out of meeting the quokas for the first time. The one down side was the fare for the boat was expensive for a one day trip, a large family would find the trip prohibitive

WORST experience ever, do NOT book it

DO NOT book from this company!!!無賴公司，不要預定。 Terrible pickup and no reponse by call during the 20minunites after pickup time, finally we have to cancel the trip. We were at the pickup point on time and did not find a bus with waiting for 10 min. Then we tried to contact them through the booking platform. For 20 min continuous calling, no one responded. (Later I read others’ review about this company, found it is a frequent problem of this company. They hold the call but no one respond.) The service is not friendly to tourists at all. We tried very hard to catch the trip, including waiting at pickup point and immediately contact them when 10min passed. But because of the POOR service they committed, we cannot do anything more except cancelling. They had all our contact info. A quick message or call, or simply answering our call can make our trip, but they did not. What’s even worse is finally we got in touch through their feedback form in the evening(which means they even did not notice we were not on board). They deny all the problems of the service, refuse any refund and blame us for their failed pickup. Finally we found another friendly and higher rate company to make the trip. It was very good. There are a lot of better choices.
