Not chocolate making, chocolate dipping

This was more a chocolate dipping than chocolate making class. There was so explanation on how chocolate is made etc. Not at all what we expected. Our kids liked it though

Not worth it at all!

This is an experience I would skip because of the person who was guiding us. The workshop chef was rude and very unprofessional. We are adults with children and is treating us unkindly. He was annoyed from the start and insulting in his commentary. I would not recommend this at all to anyone. There were others in the experience with us who also felt his negativity. We are on vacation, paying for an experience so the expectation is to have fun with someone who wants to be part of our experience.

Great experience for all ages

Great experience and really well priced. Get to take lots of lovely chocs home too. Easy to get there by metro - just opposite Bonne Nouvelle station.

It was OK

Our son enjoyed it that is why I’m giving it 4 stars. Like some other people said, this is more of dipping chocolate instead of making chocolate. My husband was frustrated because our chef provided more instruction and details to the people who spoke French than those that spoke English. Wish there had been more toppings to choose from. I would not do this tour again.

Choco Story Choco Heaven!

Excellent experience. The museum was interesting. The workshop was fun. The communication from Viator was poor. We waited outside until 10 minutes after our allotted time but no guide appeared. We made our way into the venue and we missed our slot. When you arrive just go straight in!

Great chocolate workshop for families

The workshop was great. We had a wonderful time. It was great for all ages over their minimum age of 6. My 6year old, 15 year old and 20 year old all loved it. (I didn’t realize my 2 year old wouldn’t be allowed in the room at all). We made covered marshmallows on a stick, nuggets and orange dipped sticks as well as white, milk and dark chocolate bars. Highly recommend.

It wasn’t what we expected.. felt like we were just on an assembly line with no personal experience or attention at all

Enjoyed the chocolate story. Also enjoyed the experience dipping chocolate and make chocolate bars and the chocolate was amazing!

Fun workshop

We began the workshop by dipping marshmallows, orange slices and chocolate squares into the pots of melted chocolate after the chocolatier demonstrated how to do so. Then he demonstrated how to make the chocolate bars and how to make a swirl. It would have been better if we started with the making of the chocolate bars as they needed time to set properly. As they would have been setting, then we could have dipped our other treats into the chocolate pots as they required only 30 seconds to set. Also, the chocolatier did not have the patience required to work with children. My family did not have problems, but he (the chocolatier) was very impatient with others. The scavenger hunt is not kid-friendly at all! They definitely need to revamp that and keep it to one simple sheet as opposed to a multi-page booklet whereby the answers were very difficult for the kids to find. Overall, we did have fun and enjoyed eating what we made!

Fun workshop to learn decoration techniques

A lovely workshop to take a break from lots if walking round Paris. More of a decorate your chocolate than make the chocolate, but fun all the same and the chocolate is lovely. The museum is also very interesting with some amazing models.

We had the best time with Stephan and the chocolate decorating. The treats are tasty and he was super patient.

Fair experience, and expensive for what you got. And there were very minimal choices to choose from to add to your chocolate. Ie sprinkles, different nuts!

Avoid this. It's 45 minutes of dipping things in chocolate. Totally not worth the $45. With so many things to do around Paris, don't waste your time here.

Not a chocolate MAKING workshop

Title is misleading. You don’t get to make any chocolates. You basically dip things like marshmallows and orange candy and fudge squares in liquid chocolate. Then you squeeze molten chocolate into molds to make chocolate bars. Save your money. Do something else with your time in Paris. Definitely not worth $220 for 5 people. We were a small group of people ages 17 - 76 and would definitely not do it again.

Americans beware! Save your money go to Hershey Park!

My son wasn’t empressed with experience it was more like a “let’s dip Things in chocolate.” The guy assisting was very nice and spoke French and English.. the woman at the reception also spoke English but we found she catered more to those who spoke French. My son saw her giving attention to other children giving out chocolate lollipops offering hot chocolate drinks and being quite kind to some but when he spoke to her she was quite rude. It was obvious she dislike Americans!! Americans beware!!! When I asked for her name she refused to give and told me my son interrupted her. I was by his side she honestly just couldn’t care less about us.. we Left feeling frustrated and could feel her energy as we left.. my son said, “mom that woman is still Staring at us.. he felt uncomfortable and quite honestly so did I!

Well worth if visiting paris with kids

Very good class if visiting Paris with young kids. Our son really enjoyed the chocolate making and was good length of time for his age. Definitely would recommend plus you get yo take yhe chocolate home with you to enjoy.

The Chef was wonderful, so patient. The experience was so much fun and we learned so much. The museum was very interesting as well

More for children

The chocolate is already melted all you do is dip marshmallows oranges and a piece of chocolate Then make your bar by adding melted chocolate to it I’d say more for kids than adults Don’t expect a lot

Nice Experience

Very nice experience, staff are great and accomodating. Workshop is fun and quick, dont expect to learn chocolate making from scratch, it more about creative fun decorating chocolates, but you might pick up a couple of interesting facts and learn a few things.

Pearl Wedding Anniversary in Paris

We booked the workshop as part of our 30th wedding anniversary. It was a great thing to do, we made yummy chocolate bars and got to keep the moulds so that we could try it at home. Thank you

It was a very pleasant experience. Small group (we were just 5) and chef was willing to answer all questions. Basic decoration class (just dip marshmallows and other candies into chocolate) and then explore your creative side by decorating it. Chef shared some techniques. Quick but nice experience!

Must Do!

I loved the make your own chocolate experience! The chocolatier is very knowledgeable and it's extremely fun. After all the play you get to keep your creations (Yum)!

Chocolate Making is fun for teens and adults

We had a great time making chocolate and this was a welcome break from touring other museums for our teenage son. We also walked home with lots of goodies made by us and the our chocolatier. We didn't spend much time in the museum but did catch the chocolate-making demonstration prior to our class starting.

We participated in a one-hour chocolate making activity followed by a self-guided tour of the chocolate museum. We had a great time, as a group, original and funny. We recommend this experience for a Parisian stay

The whole group was happy

Great workshop Stephane the chocolatier was very pleasant, we were a group of 18 with around ten children and all the children were delighted. They left with their chocolate work in hand. The adults were happy too.

Bien sans plus

Plutôt déçue par l’animateur qui débite ses instructions en français et anglais comme un automate. On sent qu’il en a ras le bol de répéter le même discours plusieurs fois par jour. Pas très aidant non plus avec les jeunes enfants un peu maladroits. La vidéo des 3 chefs chocolatiers est davantage destinée à des adultes car trop émaillée de jargon technique Néanmoins la visite a plu à mes petits enfants.

El museo bien el taller pésimo

Decepcionante. El taller consiste en introducir en chocolate un par de nubes, un par de gajos de naranja y un par de bombones. Luego llenar un molde con diferentes tipos de chocolate.....todo esto mientras el chef, que no se caracteriza por su simpatía y que tiene pinta de perdonarte la vida, te rectifica continuamente si no haces lo que te dice.....la sensación es de haber tirado el dinero a la basura....El museo por su parte está bien para ir con niños, el chico de recepción, amabilísimo, les da un librito, donde van pegando pegatinas para que se entretengan y luego les regala una piruleta de chocolate, muy amable.

Atelier qui aurait été super avec un autre chocolatier.... bon visiblement les groupes ça le saoule....on n'y retournera plus.

Assez expéditif

Belle expérience, nous sommes repartis avec de jolis chocolats. Mais 45 minutes c'est assez court. Ne pas s'attendre à un animateur passionné...ce fut assez expéditif. Mais ma fille a tout de meme adoré. Visite du musée intéressante.

Délicieuse visite!

Nous avions réservé un atelier, très bon accueil.Le chef Pierre est adorable,souriant et très gentil avec les enfants! Par contre atelier très rapide, et le seul point noir le prix 70€ à deux...

Très bon moment, je recommande !

Grâce aux ateliers organisés par le Musée, nous avons pu participer à l'un d'entre eux en présence d'un maître chocolatier. Un moment très convivial, amusant et créatif en présence d'un personnel très accueillant. Le musée vaut le détour tant il fourmille de pièces associées à l'histoire du chocolat dans le monde et en France. Une très belle collection !

Atelier chocolats

J'avais déjà fait le musée de Bruges mais pas d'activités. L'accueil très sympathique, nous sommes allés dans un labo situé dans le musée. Un chocolatier nous a d'abord fait une démonstration et ensuite nous avons réalisé nos chocolats et les avons décoré! Nous avons également fait des tablettes!!! Il nous a fait une démonstration de décors :) je recommande cette animation en famille, entre amis ou pour un Team Building. Surtout pour les gourmands comme moi! Je vais y retourner pour l'activité des calendriers de l'avent!

Très sympa

Atelier très convivial. Ma nièce et ma fille ont adoré tremper les différents aliments (guimauves, oranges..) dans le chocolat! Le chef était vraiment très sympa! On repart à la fin avec sa petite pochette de chocolats et sa tablette décorée. Un bon moment gourmand à partager en famille.
