Beautiful gardens.

Loved our tower. Our guide was amazing and knowledgeable. The palace was crowded with tour groups. Our guide dis an excellent job of making that a great experience. Highly recommend the gardens add on. They were beautiful and not as crowded with plenty of time to stroll at your own leisure.

Sarah was knowledgeable and witty. She gave us the history but in a way that was very enjoyable and digestible. Pace of the tour was just right.

Both people who organized...

Both people who organized this tour- the person who met us for the train then handed us over to the guide at Versailles were wonderful. By avoiding the crowds at the entrance and having the experience of an audio tour in a packed site was the perfect way to experience this world class locale. Bravo!

Humberto is an excellent guide. He hesitates not any moment and has entertained the group nearly 2 hours with talking about all Versailles details and history.

A must see for anyone going to France.

Incredible place. Quite crowded but, still enjoyable. Great guide, perfect english and good spanish which is a plus. An improvement would be starting the tour from Paris in a bus directly to Versailles, skipping the train experience.

Can’t imagine NOT going via tour- so much detail from guide !!

Matthew was articulate and possessed a great depth of Palace knowledge. He was considerate to account for all participants despite the tight crowds. The gardens must be under construction bc there wasn’t a single flower planted which guide said he has never before witnessed. The meeting book point was clear and there was a separate host for that who made sure everyone knew what to expect on the train as well as when we departed for return trip. The Palwce tour was outstanding. Can’t imagine doing your on my own as we’d miss out on so much depth of detail on the Palace.

Fun and educational trip to palace

The train to Versailles was seamless and easy. Our tour guide. Ivan made the trip so wonderful. He was so knowledgeable and humorous. He gave the perfect amount of history- not tedious details- yet made each part of the journey interesting and fun.

Easy way to visit Versailles from Paris

Tourguide Ivan was knowledgeable with a good sense of humor. Did a good job of pointing out key elements in each room and gave nice tour of several high points of the gardens

Versailles on a rainy day

My wife and I toured Versailles palace and gardens yesterday. Our tour guide Claire met us at the station in Versailles. She was outstanding - she knew her history and regaled us with very interesting stories; she was both informative and very funny. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her and learned a lot about Versailles and 17th and 18th century French history.

Excellent tour

We met our first guide who got us on the train and accompanied us to Versaille to meet our tour guide, Claire. Claire was excellent and had a good sense of humor about the rain. She showed us some great spots in the gardens!

Ivan the Great

Ivan from Brazil was awesome! We had an absolutely informative and delightful time. We would certainly recommend the trip with Ivan as your guide.

Over the moon

Matto was our guide, from Rome, and Italian with a little he was perfect!! He Studies History so is very knowledgeable and this is is summer job! Dreams realized what a day the train ride to Versailles the opulence the history the beauty the garden! Over the moon.

Beautiful, historical worth seeing

Easy to navigate with a host meeting and taking the train with us to the palace. From there the guided tour guide was informative and kind. Unfortunately the weather was rainy and cold so viewing the gardens was not optimal . However we are grateful we chose the tour. Once in a lifetime experience

Bad frustrating

Not a good experience. The company changed the time and sent me an email 5 months ago. Then I got a reminder email the day before with the original time. From this my daughter and I assumed the original time was the correct one. This meant we could not meet and rushed about trying to meet at Versailles unsuccessfully. I asked for at least a partial refund which was refused. Please be aware viator does not change the time on their website. They also did not assist me. I will not be using again. Yes I have proof.

Worth it

We missed the train! So we took an Uber to Versailles and they were there with an orange hat waiting for us. We made the tour and so glad we did. The person I called from the Uber was really helpful in directing us. Our tour guide Clare was very informative and witty and spoke perfect English. It truly is something to see but so helpful to have a guide paint a picture and explain what the room were used for and life at the Palace. I really enjoyed the gardens as well and the meaning behind all the statues and history. A must see while in Paris. Lots of walking . Be ready with good shoes. Also, being in a group with a guide we sort of flowed through the crowd. Tip: Do not miss Marie Antoinettes fairy tale hamlet. This is a little train ride after the tour.

Versailles Palace and Gardens, unforgettable!

Grandest garden plans I have ever seen! Palace is unbelievable. The only completed portrait of Louis 16th is here. A beautiful portrait of Marie Antoinette with her 3 kids and an empty crib from. Newly deceased son is lovely to see. It was just before the French Revolution. Only thing is, don’t rely on weather forecast. It rains unpredictably and we got soaking wet returning to the train station. The tour operator Memories France delivered beautifully on all that they promised. My reco. Use a tour guide service. So much of your time is saved and you get the info to go with the monuments that give the experience meaning!

Excellent tour

The guide was fantastic! He was super friendly, and knew everything! we learned about the history of the palace, it was really interesting and fun.

Won’t use Viator again

Would absolutely recommend the tour but not the experience with Viator. We nearly missed tour as our printed our ticket had the incorrect details for the meeting point. We had to make our own way to Versailles and thanks to the help of the tour guide (Viator is a reseller) they waited for us at the entry. Viator needs to make sure it is giving correct and up to date information on tours it sells. Won’t use Viator again.

The tour was great. Ivan was very knowledgeable and friendly. We especially enjoyed the train ride. It was raining so the walk from the train to the Palace seemed rather long.

Matthew was a knowledgeable guide and we were lucky to see Versailles on such a beautiful day! The tour was informative and very interesting. Unfortunately they were getting ready for the olympics and some of the gardens and buildings were under renovation and inside was quite crowded.

Tour Was Rich with History

Had an excellent tour! The entire group concluded that our guide Humberto was phenomenal— he knew everything there was to know about Versailles and that made the trip so rich with fun facts that you’d never know about.

There was a LOT of walking, but that’s ok. The guide was very efficient and respectful. He knew a lot of facts and provided them to us with stories & humor, making it much more interesting

No waiting in line

Cecile was a wonderful guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour very enjoyable. The best part was that we didn't have to wait in the long lines to get in. I would highly recommend this tour

Fabulous tour, expect possible delays at security checkpoints.

The trip out by train was smooth and our guide for this portion of the day was engaging and funny. Once at Versailles, we met our guide for the rest of the day , Matthew. He was excellent, and certainly added colour and history to both the tour of the Palace and of the gardens. A visit to Versailles with a guide as competent as Matthew is an absolute must, in order to understand the context of what you are seeing. The tour was fabulous. The only downside was the approximate 45 minute wait past our scheduled time to enter. The delay was caused by a lack of security staff as there is only one checkpoint for guided tours. Not the fault of the tour company.

The tour was very nice....

The tour was very nice. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. She was attentive to an elderly couple that could not keep up with the pace of the tour and slowed down her pace to ensure she accommodated them which was good. Altogether I would recommend this tour.

Versailles is stunning!

This was a highlight of our trip. The palace is stunning but so are the gardens. We probably could have gotten here on our own but our tour guide Miriam was fantastic. And having a guide and tickets ahead of time helps you skip some lines and monitor through the crowds as it’s a lot to see. I also recommend the add on to the full day tour to see Trianon. We are lunch at Chez La Filles and it was delicious as well. The salad was so delicious as were the profiteroles!

Don’t go to Versailles unles you take this tour!

I loved this tour so much & we had an amazing tour guide who taught us so much & made it so interesting!

Versailles

This trip was quite amazing and it was so nice that there was a guide who helped us get from Paris to Versailles. The palace was amazing and the guide was very knowledgeable and kind. It was obvious she was passionate about the topics and not like a robot rattling off facts. I give this tour a ten out of ten even with the weather which was cloudy and pretty chilly about 11 Celsius. The only thing is (which didn’t bother me or my partner and our friends) is that Viator claims this activity ends back where it started but there is no guide to help you back. The trains are pretty simple this is just me calling out the false advertisement. Also Versailles itself was running behind and our guide did a great job of being like ‘hello it’s almost eleven and we were supposed to go at 10:30. Make sure we’re the next group’ Just be prepared that there might not be things that even your guides have control over and that it’s a bunch of standing. Versailles was also quite crowded.

The tour was great!, very well informed and funny with Matteo. From The Aussies. The tour is chock a block full with other groups, Matteo did a great job keeping us together and entertained. Great job 10/10

Worthwhile despite the crowds.

The palace and gardens were remarkable and we have no regrets about taking the tour. However, be prepared for large crowds even during off season. Moving around in the palace can be difficult.

More of an All Day Tour

There was a lot of standing and waiting for people to join the tour who never showed at their assigned time. I appreciated having skip the line tickets and through no fault of the guide, the palace was running 30 late admitting groups. The palace was incredibly crowded and although our guide was quite knowledgeable of the history of the palace, finding her in the crowded rooms was difficult. A sign or umbrella, etc would be helpful in locating her. It was advertised as a half day tour but it ran late so I had to skip the gardens in order to catch the train back to Paris for a later afternoon tour I had scheduled. I do recommend the tour but allow all day to see both the palace and gardens and bring your patience in dealing with the crowds.

Great excursion

Very knowledgeable and helpful tour guide. Went early in the day and walked right in. The gardens were great even though it was very cold. Had a good lunch and interesting afternoon. Well worth the money.

Morning garden tour was excellent. Fountains were on and crowds were low. Skip the line was worth the booked tour.

Great experience

Meeting point in Paris was a bit confusing as no guide turned up on time but most of the tour group was there before him. Once on the train to Versailles all good and handed over to Ivan who was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and navigated the group through the busy palace rooms explaining all then into gardens

Amazing tour of Versaille

I was slightly late trying to figure my way in a foreign city using a language I barely understood. But the tour guides were patient, They waited for me. Our guide was Christina, she was amazing! she knew the history and did an amazing job taking us through the palace. I will definetly recommend this tour if you plan to go to Versailles.

Versailles day tour

We did the full day tour. The first guide was late but at least I received a prompt response when I contacted the tour company. The guide was friendly when he arrived and got us to Versailles. The guide at Versailles was wonderful (Astrid). I wish the tour information would have advised about the weather (cold, windy, rainy) as well as food--the restaurant was closed but Astrid didn't know that so we ended up at the smaller cafe where the food was cold and seating was limited. However, Astrid was knowledgeable, pleasant and enjoyable to spend the day with.

Unforgettable Experience!

I visited Versailles solo, so going in a group made it a bit more comfortable as the guides were excellent. I got to the meeting point early (because anxiety), and the address took me to the opposite side of the Regalia cafe (where you'll meet your coordinator) and I started to mix into a different tour group but eventually figured out I needed to be back at Regalia Cafe - pop in for a quick bite before setting off if you can. Arthur (coordinator) was kind, easy to talk to, and made sure to get the party to Versailles in one piece. Quentin (guide) expertly guided us through the palace and the gardens while keeping us entertained and informed. I appreciated the ear pieces as it let me still walk the rooms at my own pace and still feel like I was part of the group, though it kept falling out of my ear (no one's fault but my own genes). ALSO, there will be a bathroom stop once you get into Versailles palace so try to go before the meeting point or wait until you get to Versailles to not hold up your party. So glad I chose Memories France, already recommended them to my family visiting Paris later this year!

Versailles was great! Even in the rain!

The tour guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun. Even with the rain, it was great. We learned so much. I must say the hand off from the guide who met us in Paris and took us on the train to Versailles to our tour guide was seamless. It was a very enjoyable tour.

Great Tour, Very Efficient and Easy

We booked the tour just that morning, just five hours before we had to meet, and everything was amazing. We were escorted on the train ride to Versailles and then were handed off to our amazing tour guide, Mateo. Everything went flawlessly and Mateo was extremely knowledgeable, while using some humor to make it even more interesting. Versailles itself didn't disappoint and we plan to go back to see more of the gardens.
