It’s not just the Mona Lisa

We had a great guide which added volumes to the experience. He was so knowledgeable and combined his expertise with a great sense of humor that made everyone in the group comfortable. He made what could have been an overwhelming experience very enjoyable

Good experience.

Guide was excellent and funny. Showed us highlights. Seeing the Mona Lisa was a mob scene...they can do better. We missed our reserved tour but we're able to join the next one. Thank you.

Louve Tour

Tour guide was great,, had fun,,, good idea for the "highlights" of the Louve. What else do you want me to say "Viator" to leave my review? The tour was as expected,,, decent,, slightly over priced but, the tour guide was fun.

Tour the Louvre!

Hamish was incredibly educated on all of the pieces we viewed at the Louvre. We learned much of the history behind the building as well as the works of art. He was kind, funny and animated. We spent 3 hours in the museum and saw so many beautiful paintings, sculptures and more!

Poor service

It seems unfair to give the company a poor rating when we in fact didn’t even utilize the service. The problem was that we arrived, but took one metro stop too soon and had to walk further than we thought. We arrived at the meeting place one minute after the prescribed time. We got a call from the company three minutes after we are supposed to be at the prescribe time telling us that the Tour Guide was looking for us. I told the person on the phone that we were in fact at the meeting place looking for the Tour Guide. he said that the Tour Guide had already gotten in line and was gaining access to the Louv. I have been to the Louvre so many times I know that was a lie. Even if you have, let’s say a 1030 arrival time you will still spend at least 20 minutes in line waiting to get in. We searched the area for the Guide in line and were told that he would have a city of wonders flag. No one in line had any flag and no one had any identifiable markings to let us know who they were. It was very frustrating. The cost was not that great but we lost out on getting into the Louvre that day , so $135 down the drain. Anyway, I’m sure the Guide was great but we really felt betrayed because they didn’t say come five minutes before the departure time they said come at the departure time and we were literally 60 seconds late. I have the call log to document when the company called so I’m not just blowing smoke. I feel if they have a client that’s not there and they called them. They could wait two or three minutes, especially when the client says that they’re at the meeting place. The meeting place was at the carousel, which is literally 200 yards away from the entrance of the Louvre. It would’ve been easy for them to put up their flag and wave it around so that we could find them. it’s very disappointing and shows that they have very little concern for customer service.

Great experience

Well worth it! Hamish was very knowledgeable and had a gracefulness that was very appealing. The museum is so large that we only saw a portion. But liked that we could stay after the tour was done.

Was suppose to be semi private group but had 25 people in it which was way too big

Saw main highlights of museum but hard to enjoy due to group size hard to see and stay with group museum was very crowded.

They merged 12 of our group with 13 others for 25 total Not semi private like they promised , not the guides fault but hard to keep up with him with that many people.

Adi is the best guide ever :)

Adi was a brilliant informative guide who was super kind and helpful. She struck perfect between fact and fun - managed to engage everyone, even our teen who's a tough crowd. Louvre super busy, we went for 10am on sat morning and by the time we left it even busier. Skip the line is deffo worth it. And small group is best for atmosphere and getting about.

Great museum,great guide,great time

We missed our semi-private tour and were re-scheduled on a group tour with Omar! We loved the art and stories he told about the painters and the history. Two kids 9 and 11 were with us and really enjoyed the 3 hour guided- they weren’t bored for a minute!

The most memorable day thanks to Severine

The most amazing experience. This was at the top of my mums bucket list and she loved every second. Our tour guide Severine was the best, she was so informative and knew so much, she made the experience so memorable and I can’t thank her enough for making this day my mums favourite day ever! Thank you Severine!!!

Tour of the Louvre

Our tour guide was absolutely amazing. She was well very informed and entertaining. Our only issue was not reading the specific information for the meeting spot. We were lost and late, but our tour guide came to get us. We appreciated that.

Learning the history of not only the art but of the Louvre itself was very interesting. Our guide Alban was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and very funny!

Skip the line!

The Louvre is amazing and overwhelming. Your guide will show you the highlights including Venus de Milo, The Raft of the Medusa and The Winged Victory. And yes you will see the Mona Lisa but you shouldn’t fixate on her, even though she is very beautiful. Gaze at the enormous painting across the room from her you will be impressed. There are hundreds of other pieces of art that will blow you away. The tour last about 2 1/2 hours and then you can explore on your own. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.

Good General walk through of large area.

Meeting area was confusing and person there not at all friendly or helpful. Maria, our guide, was very good and very knowledgeable. I would not have attempted the Louvre without skip-the-line or a guide.

A Must to See the Highlights!

Addy was an amazing guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. She asked us what we were most interested in seeing and tailored our visit accordingly. Highly recommend!

Poor value for the money

Advertised as a 3 hour tour but we entered the museum at 11a and the tour ended at 1p. The guide’s commentary was superficial and disjointed. The tour felt rushed with little real depth of explanation. Not worth almost 90 euros

Great Louvre experience

Omar (our guide) had the most interesting stories, the two hours really flew by very quickly with him. The tour in itself is amazing but this guide took to another level!

Excellent but not value for money

Experience was very good and our guide Blerta was very knowledgeable pleasant funny and thoughtful of the people in the group. The semi tour contained very few stops and things to see compared to the money paid. Would expect to see much more pieces including the Egyptian part which we have not seen at all.

Worthwhile Tour!

Incredible tour! Our guide, Maxim, was so knowledgeable and personable. We watched DaVinci Code on the plane ride home and saw many places in the movie we visited. Very worthwhile tour!

Small group is SO worth the extra cost

Max was an outstanding, knowledgable guide. Our semi-private group had 8 people. Because of its small size, Max told us he would add any part to the tour if we wanted to see something additional. We asked him to spend a little time on Michelangelo’s statues and he did. He really knows his way around the Louvre, taking us on a tour that did not follow the massive herds. Saw the usual highlights plus so much more, in 2 hours.

Recommend

Yes we skip the line, our tour guide lead us to a special entry skip the crowded. He is very tall so everyone can see him easily, very knowledgeable, serious but funny. Explain all the historical details in good pace. Recommend.

Best Tour Guide

Ask for Carolina. She was phenomenal. Knew how to navigate the crowds and was very informative. Easy to understand for English speakers.

Louvre Art Tour

Our guide Severin was very knowledgeable and entertaining. She gave us a great insight into the history of the Louvre Museum and interesting information about the artworks.

Louve was very crowded and quite warm. Wish I could have gotten closer to the main attraction items.

Looked forward to this tour. Semi private small group. Any larger group would not have worked with the very crowded Louve. It was very hard to get close to the main attractions due to the very large crowds. If spending time and taking your time is important plan your trip for off season.

Terrible

This tour was horrible. Tour guide did not have correct tickets. Wasted 45 mins just trying to contact Viator for new tickets. When we finally got in, tour guide wasted more time explaining tooooo much history of each painting. You can see people were bored

Terrible Guide Who Didn't Realize She Lost 2 People and Did Not Get Anywhere Near 3 hr. Tour

Purposely booked this 3 hr tour thinking it would give us time to enjoy what we were seeing and wouldn't be a herd of people. Met our guide, Jonga(?), at 10:30 as planned. by the time we got into the Louvre (even with Skip the Line tickets) and did coat check, it was 11:00 before the tour actually started. It was zip, zip, zip thru the entire museum, stopping only for a few seconds for each masterpiece. She also talked a mile a minute and was sometimes difficult to understand in English. It was like she had another appointment to get to and couldn't spend the allotted time with us and was just moving thru a checklist of things for us to "see". Actual tour began at 11:00 and was done by 12:48 - not even 2 hrs.!! WE HAVE TAKEN A LOT OF TOURS AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THE GUIDE EVER LOST ANYONE AND SHE WASN'T EVEN AWARE ANYONE WAS MISSING!! One of the women came running up, saying she had been separated from the group, now her husband's not with the group either and he must have gone looking for her - THE GUIDE NEVER NOTICED ANYONE FROM OUR SMALL GROUP WAS EVEN MISSING. There was nothing to be done and there was no game plan on where to go in the event this happened. So we just continued the tour as planned and luckily her husband had gone back to coat check and met up with his wife, but neither of them really got the tour. WOW-Probably the worst group tour we've ever taken., and I have to say that the lost couple didn't miss a whole lot because of the way the tour was conducted. Bad, bad, bad.

Excellent experience.

Our guide (12 May 3p) was excellent. He gave us great information about the art in Le Louvre, including history and philosophy. We ended up liking it so much more than expected. I would have stayed with him all day - I’m sorry we only had a few hours with him.

Excellent Experience

We had an amazing tour of the louvre with Sinse, our tour guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful to us in pointing out the important paintings and sculptures we were seeing. A very nice person and a wonderful asset to your company. We had a fabulous time! Thank uou!!!

Wonderful Tour.

The Louvre is an amazing place. The extensive collection and size could make it a bit daunting if trying to decide what to see in a limited time period. This is why we were so thrilled with our tour and particularly our guide, Afsaneh. She directed us to some of the masterpieces, but also showed us some other extraordinary pieces. Her mastery of the subject matter was obvious and her insights enhanced our overall experience at The Louvre. She was also a lot of fun. A great tour!

Worthwhile way to visit the Louvre

Our tour with Anais was excellent. We hadn't realized it would be for three hours, but she really filled in that time with lots of helpful and interesting commentary - and made sure we hit all the top artworks (which we never would have found without her!) The museum was incredibly crowded the day we visited, so everything took a bit longer than normal, but Anais simply extended our tour past the three hours to make sure we got to see everything she wanted us to see. She was also great with our 9 year old daughter.

Wonderful tour of the Louvre

Anna our tour guide is very knowledgeable and enhanced the tour with many historical facts. Her presentation was energetic and enjoyable. Skipping the line was well worth the money too!

Crowded and noisy

My most memorable moments of the trip is that the museum was extremely crowded. The noise level was so high I could not hear the tour guide for over 50% of the tour. Although we saw some "famous" art pieces, it would have been nice to also linger over the not so famous pieces.

Not professional communication, but good guide

Last minute cnx by tour operator from small group to big group definitely was a spoiler. Company waited and stuck the onsight staff with delivery of the bad news. Unfair to the guide and made the thing crap. We specifically booked small so that we'd have a better experience. Not a reliable company and they are still not being honest with the refund difference
