Amazing tour of the Louvre!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Nancy! Her knowledge of the works of art was deep and sophisticated. She did a great job engaging my 14 year old and helping her understand not only the works we saw but also their context. We could not have covered the key works without her knowledge of the Louvre as well. She made sure we saw what we highlighted but also shared some amazing works and artifacts that are not on the traditional tourist list. We would love to do this and other tours with her again!

Wonderful small group tour at the Louvre

My husband and I booked this as our last tour of a 2 week trip in Europe, of which we had several tours, but we both agreed that this was our favorite! Our tour guide was Violette and she was wonderful. I can't imagine walking the Louvre on my own or with another company. She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her work which made the tour that much more enjoyable. Violette is truly a professional and we agreed that we would love to come back to France again and when we do, we HAVE to book another tour with her. Highly recommend!

Guide to the Louvre when your knowledge of art is limited

Abbie was our tour guide for our tour. The Louvre is huge and so it was great to have someone knowledgeable to take you through, talk about the art and artists and also make sure you didn’t miss out on those important pieces. Thanks Abbie. We enjoyed our time with you and the tour of the Louvre.

Most rewarding 3 hours at the Louvre.

This tour with Adam Von Eichmeyer was hands-down the best art tour we have ever experienced. Adam is masterfully knowledgable, funny and relatable. This was a quick trip with our 13 year old daughter and so we regrettably only had time to hit the highlights. Adam left us feeling like we were educated art historians and not merely tourists clamoring to take a selfie with the Mona Lisa and be on our way. It was the most rewarding 3 hrs that we could have spent at the Louvre. 11/10 stars for #TeamAdam

The passion of the Louvre with Adam

Adam was so charming and knowledgeable. It was so nice to learn the history behind all of the pieces. I found myself emotional as he positioned us just perfectly to view each piece. I would have never known how to navigate this amazing museum with so many things to see. Without his brilliant guidance we would’ve been lost!

Intelligent and entertaining guide, Adam, is one of the BEST

Adam Von Eichmeyer, PhD was magnificent as a guide through the Louvre. He thoughtfully planned the route through the Louvre to maximize our view time and minimize crowd time! Not only did we view many of the masterpieces, Adam shared so much background and insight of each piece and artist, it REALLY enriched our experience. Highly recommend Adam. We have toured many museums in many countries and he is one of the best!

Best tour guide we've ever had.

Adam Von Eichmeyer, PHD, of #walksoffrance was the best tour guide we've ever had. He was so knowledgeable and funny which made his tour a delite. The Aphrodite De Milo, or as uneducated call it Venus De Milo, must be viewed to see it's perfection 360°. Also story of Salai, Leonardo De Vinci's lover, who posed for the Mona Lisa. Which caused the patron to reject the portrait as it wasn't Lisa (his wife). The story of how Canada came to the rescue of this work and so many more. I thoroughly recommend Adam be your next guide if you're lucky enough to get the chance. Thanks Adam.

Worth every penny !!!

Our guide Barbara knew so much about the Louvre. Without her …first we would be constantly lost and second would never have learned so much in a short time. Last we weren’t struggling to follow a group we were able to ask as many questions as we wanted and she knew the answers.

This is one of the best tours I have ever done! Violette was amazing! We were a family of 5 with 3 kids. She is definitely an expert on the subject and kept us engaged all the time. She went beyond explaining the masterpieces in such an interesting way. Kids had a great time. Organization was outstanding: meeting point, instructions, no lines, no crowds.

Great tour of the Louvre with Hugo.

The tour was wonderful. Our guide, Hugo, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the art. He also showed a great love for his country and its history. We saw the most important things that we wanted to see and some that we would never have known about that Hugo knew we would enjoy seeing. We highly recommend this tour and Hugo as a guide.

I took the "Closing Time Walking Tour" which was a semi-private tour of the key masterpieces at the Louvre. I had Adam as the tour guide. He was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable, very experienced, effective in getting us up close to the works, and incredibly funny. I thought I knew most of the back stories for these artists and artwork, but I learned so much more with Adam. If you don't want to deal with the crowds and lines and wasted time, I highly recommend booking something through this group, especially with Adam as your guide.

Two great family tours!

We had a great time on both the Louvre and Versailles tour! We learned so much from our guide, Abby. She was great at engaging our 9-year-old son without dumbing anything down and she was just a fun and kind person to be around. The tours were the right length of time and so worth it as a way to be better engaged with everything you are seeing. We saw so many people just walking aimlessly through the rooms at the Louvre and Versailles while we were learning about history and culture. And, depending on the time of year when you go, the reserved entry can save you an hour or more waiting in line!

Marcel was prompt and empathetic of us in the cold outside to get us quickly inside and to begin. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable; teaching us as if we had gone through the most interesting art history course in two hours. This was a very meaningful trip and tour for us.

Exceed Expectations

Adam was fantastic and very passionate about all of the artwork. He took time to explain the history, connect the dots throughout the tour, and keep the group engaged. We didn’t even notice the people throughout the Louvre because we were so intrigued by Adam’s stories at every stop. We could have spent 5 more hours touring with him. This tour is 100% worth it!

Violette is absolutely amazing to experience. Her knowledge and understanding of the masterpieces is phenomenal. She definitely has completed her studies of art but has an understanding more than just art. She is able to list off times, dates, eras, etc off the top of her head - very incredible! Seeing the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo in person. Also seeing the vastness of the Louvre itself. We appreciated our guide, Abbie, working with our time constraints and guiding us so easily through the hallways to the pieces and then back out so we weren’t wandering lost and confused.

Only way to see the Louvre

Violette was amazing! The Louvre was very crowded, but I didn't notice at all because I was so captivated by Violette's knowledge, humor and warm personality in my earpiece as we toured. Violette possesses the rare combination of not only knowing about every work of art, but also knowing what's actually interesting that not everyone knows. I honestly couldn't imagine seeing the Louvre without this tour through this guide. Worth every cent.

He kept my two boys aged 11 and 13 engaged for 3 hours on all things art history....need I say more. This guy was a genius. He covered the masterpieces with some super interesting and lesser known facts for novice art historians like ourselves. The skip the line, private entrance into the Louvre on a hot and busy July day, also money well spent. Finally his precision navigation ensured we got the absolute most out of our time at the Louvre. I will be recommending Adam to all my friends and also if I return to Paris we will for sure be looking him up again for another tour.
