Magical night

It was a magical night. The food, service, atmosphere, music, and views of Paris were truly beautiful. It was my wife’s birthday and it was a perfect way to celebrate.

Chez Maxim’s Sur Seine

Sonia and Adrien made my voyage a time to remember. I was traveling solo and they took great care to make sure my experience was the best! Amazing cuisine and wine. The lights of Paris are not to be missed so make sure you take the 8pm dinner cruise. Delightful and Fun live entertainment with the music being a mix of classic French and some American classics.

Nice but could be much better

Paris at night is a sight to behold and breathtaking from the river! Maxim’s dinner cruise from a food, service, entertainment and design interior was very average - and not worthy of the money. For no cost to Maxim’s- they could definitey improve. On a 2 hr cruise, the piano player took (2) 20 minute breaks - with no interim music. The interior lights were too bright, which killed the atmosphere. The food was good(ish) - and the service unattentive. However, I was in good company and the sights were exquisite. Hard to complain about that.

Food nice. Experience Not worth the money.

Food was nicer than I expected, really delicious. Staff were nice. Felt rushed at the end. Nothing special, I don’t think the price reflects the experience, would prefer to spend the €300 on a nice meal in a more sophisticated environment. Felt dated but not in a vintage way Good if you want to do a very touristy activity. Probably better suited to Middle aged / older couples.

Bad choice

The food was very poor quality and the time allocated was insufficient. The whole thing was rushed and truly not worth the money.

The BEST dinner cruise in Paris

Maxim’s dinner cruise is THE best in Paris. My family (including a 11 year old and two teenagers) loved every minute of it, saying it was the highlight of the trip. Smaller than other boats, every single table is next to the window. There’s also a piano player and room for dancing. The food is AMAZING. we passed by the “king” of dinner cruises, the Bateaux whatever and felt sorry for the jam-packed people on the boat. Our boat had 10. Completely personalized service of course. One thing - you do NOT need to book with a tour company, book directly with Maxim’s and get much better service.

Romantic Dinner

Excellent, the food, view of the Eiffel Tower was great at night. I surely recommends this event, very romantic, especially with the life music.

Great food. Great staff. Beautiful cruise and Scenery. It was all we expected and more. Very romantic and just plain fun.

There Has to Be A Better Dinner Cruise in Paris

This small boat had a panel of stained glass in the back which MIGHT have been reminiscent of Maxims. The musician "played with" an electronic keyboard for part of the ride. It was somewhat of a relief when he stopped and we got canned music like "Route 66." The food was forgettable. We asked for a carafe of water and got it in a bottle so they made 8 Euros and refilled the bottle for another 8. This was the only place that encouraged tips, which is a tourist hustle as tipping is not customary in France.

Not worth the $

Disappointed - no city lights of Paris and sub par food. I checked online about sunset in Paris in October and expected it at 6:40 pm. I wanted to see the lights of Paris at night. We did not. Sunset was well after 7 p.m. Our cruise ended before 7:30 pm. I messed up. No one takes the early cruise. The cruise was empty. To make matters worse- The Maxim’s quality food was also disappointing. We could not eat our appetizer as it tasted like pure lard. The Amuse Bouche was a piece of mozzarella and a cherry tomato on a toothpick. Our glass of champagne was good and the bottle of wine was good but definitely not worth the over $300 price we spent. The filet of beef was average, the vegetables were boiled potatoes and leeks. Do yourself a favor and do a night time river cruise and go out for a nice dinner. This is not worth the money and definitely not Maxim’s quality.

This was the way to do it! A native Parisian insisted that we go on an evening boat cruise, that it was a lovely thing to do and not a stupid tourist thing. He was right! And this was the way to do. A small boat, beautifully appointed, all tables by the window, spaced apart to provide a sense of intimacy and privacy-- great food and champagne and wine and good service. Plus live piano covering classics and hits that my 27 year old son loved. It would have been a pleasant dinner without ever moving from the dock. And then there is the view! The river at night with the Eiffel Tower sparkling is amazing. Seeing the different bridges, Notre Dame, lovers, students, and angst-y individuals strolling the quay-- a perfect slice of life. I can't imagine crowding on one of the huge boats and being served banquet style meals, jostling to get a good table or having to be outside in the cold. It wasn't that more expensive that a good dinner. We did get there a bit early, worried about directions. If you just type in the Port de Solferino it puts you in the city. If you type in the rest, it essentially gets the Musee d'Orsay, which is in front of the marina. There are steps down and walking over to the bridge, catching sunset from the center, and then walking down to the dock was a lovely diversion.

Fantastic Seine Maxim cruise

The evening before, had dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant Madame Brasserie which was a huge disappointment, so I was prepared for another sub par experience. Happily, my misgivings were unwarranted. The ship's ambiance was superb, nice place settings, attentive wait staff, and accomplished piano player/singer. The food was outstanding (our group sampled most options) and served professionally. Of course, the scenery as we cruised down the Seine as the sun set was unsurpassed....well deserved 5 star overall.

Maxim’s Seine river dinner cruise

The river cruise itself was very nice and went a good distance up and down the river seeing many sights and bridges along the way. The highlight was timing the cruise to view the Eiffel Tower lighting up at 10:00pm while circling to view the Statue of Liberty, while the onboard entertainment played New York New York. Food & service were pretty good too.

A perfect evening on the Seine

This was the best river boat tour I have been on. The space was charming and intimate, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Perfect views of Paris with lovely live music. I'm glad we booked the later cruise and saw the Eiffel Tower lit up.

One of our Paris trip highlights

We loved this cruise! The boat was small and everyone had a window. It was a beautiful night and we were able to open our window and enjoy the people sitting on the banks and all of the wonderful sights. The service and live music were great, and the food was actually pretty good -- not something you expect on a dinner cruise (we were there for the scenery and experience). It was nice that the champagne and wine were included. It was a lovely night and one the highlights of our trip.

We LOVED it!

We both really enjoyed this dinner cruise! Staff was friendly and professional, piano player was talented and fun, food was really good and the views were AMAZING. We were lucky to sit on the left side of the boat and get all of the best views of the city. We floated by other dinner cruises on much larger boats but preferred this smaller and more private experience. Highly recommend and would do this again when we return to Paris.

Not Worth it. Underwhelming.

We had high expectations for the cost and the fact that we sourced luxury cruises. We took the early cruise as we had our 14 year old daughter. It started at 6, we were promptly finished at 7:15pm and it felt rushed the whole time. The food was just ok, definitely not up to the Paris standard that we are used to or expected again for the price. The wine was horrible, this is not a champagne/wine paring, they give you very low quality wine and that’s it. They quickly ended the cruise and the next guests piled on. It was very underwhelming to say the least. We made the best of it and would not recommend this cruise to others that are looking for a beautiful night out with family. I am a sure there are many other, very nice, high quality cruises available.

Fun fun fun

The crew and pianists were fantastic!!! By the end of the cruise, everyone was dancing and singing. So much fun and the food was delicious! Great experience 🍷🎉

Food and drinks were of poor quality. Ride was average. Does not worth the money they charge. Don’t recommend it to anyone.

60 min of basics

basic experience, music is nice, stuff feels rushed to serve, good food very short on time (an hour trip!) so kinda nit worth it.

Lack of an address and the less than helpful ticket staff.

Don’t show up at or close to departure time, they will leave you behind. There is always a line at the ticket building so plan on waiting no matter what.

The whole experience was great.The boat was spacious with couples seating. The food was very good and the live music was very good..

Romantic night

Great vibe, great view! At the beginning we were skeptical about the food on a cruise, but it was delicious! The waiter (Ban) was very nice and kind too! Also, It passes right in front of Eiffel Tower at 22:00, and it lights up! It was beautiful!

Fantastic experience

Apart from the cruise time being changed to an hour later and us not being notified, this was a fabulous experience. We were celebrating my husband's 50th birthday and it was a very special evening. The food was sublime, the cabaret extremely good and my husband even got a firework candle in his dessert and Claire the performer sang "happy birthday"!

We wouldn’t know —- we paid and our names not on list!

Awful experience. Booked through TripAdvisor/Viator and specifically logged on during Christmas dinner to make sure paid in full. Show up at the pont in Paris 3 days later to discover that (a) the dinner had been moved from 645p to 6p and no one notified us, (b) the boat was pulling away at 559p and (c) our names were not even on the list!! The overworked but kind girl at the booth took a screenshot of her computer showing that my Dec 28 booking was cancelled even tho Viator happily took my $375 less than 73 hours prior. None one at Paris CityVision, Viator or TripAdvisor bothered to let us know why they took our money and our booking was cancelled nor that they made the dinner earlier so that we could stop by much sooner to rectify any errors. In the end, wasted €40 to take taxis in the rain to and from the pier and my poor, tired 12 year old had no food, no cruise, no tour. Took a week of fighting with Viator to get them to agree to refund me. This is NOT how you run a business on the busiest travel week of the year in one of the busiest cities in the world. Shame on you Paris CityVision, Viator and TripAdvisor for not even lifting a pinky to make things right or offer any apology or compensation for what was clearly your error. Still waiting on my supposedly refund.

Outstanding

I was in Paris to celebrate my 50th birthday and wanted to do something very special to remember the day I looked at other Seine cruises but this one stood out to me as it was more intimate and the choice of food was more superior I was very fortunate to meet a group of people from new York who kindly let me sit with them at Thier table and they were so kind and welcoming to me and we all agreed how amazing this cruise was and how beautiful the food was the service was great and the entertainment was fantastic the scenery of Paris was breathtaking and as we were on the last cruise of the evening we got to see the Eiffel tower lit up in all her glory there is a professional photographer on board as well and the people who invited me to Thier table kindly gifted me one of the photographs which I will treasure forever as well as the amazing memories of the cruise which made my birthday special

Rude Rudy Serves Up Mediocrity

The server that checked us in was extremely rude and continued to cut me off every time I responded to his questions about our reservation. Eventually, when it was time to go, less than an hour later, he was very curt in his approach when he told us that “we must leave” because they had another party to get ready for. This was a 45 minute cruise with ok food and a very miserable, rude man who hated life.

Disappointed

This dinner cruise was a huge disappointment. There were a total of 4 people on the cruise including my husband and I. The food was terrible. It was way over priced. The atmosphere was awful. We saw many other boats on the river that were all busy. Obviously other people must have read reviews of this particular cruise that we did not.

Highly recommend - a super evening

This was an amazing evening - we went on the later 9pm cruise , the food was sublime, the staff were friendly and the entertainment was superb. It was my daughters 18th birthday and we couldn’t think of a better way to have spent it . An absolute Memory to treasure. Great views and passing the Eiffel Tower all lit up was just amazing

No outside access for photos.

Small river boat with no outside access…food was good and music with live singing was nice. Departed across from Musee d’Orsay. Would suggest a newer boat such as Ducasse’s all electric boat. Seems to be less than elegant, as expected.

Absolutely loved this cruise! It was everything we wanted and expected. The food was great, loved the fact that a champagne glass and bottle of wine were included. Loved that there was live entertainment. The views were spectacular.

Lovely evening with Maxim’s on the Seine!

Had a great time with this dinner cruise on the Seine. The food was great, the service very good, the singer was talented, and the boat was intimate catering to a smaller crowd. We had a lot of fun! Highly recommend. We have been on three meal cruises on the Seine and this was our best one yet.

Great experience

We booked this with our best friends and had a great time. Naji was our waiter and he had a wonderful sense of humor and kept us happy and full. The champagne welcome was nice and the cruise at night was beautiful and allowed us to take in all the views in the city of lights. Good food and good red wine was served with dinner. I would recommend this experience for adults. Skip if you have small children.

Overpriced and underwhelming

I was very disappointed. The food was fine but on the 1845 trip it was served at breakneck speed. We had barely swallowed a course and they were trying to take the plates away ...sometimes we were still actually eating! Each course arrived within seconds of the previous with no time to rest/digest. The trip time of 1.5 hours was not as expected and the boat passed all the sights at speed. I've been on other dining cruises at a fraction of the price that were considerably more enjoyable. The wine was an own-label pays d'oc and I'd thought all drinks were included but we had a lacklustre welcome fizz, a poor white and no other choice/option. My verdict: overpriced and underwhelming.

Highlight of our trip to Paris

My daughter and I recently visited Paris and went on the Maxim’s dinner cruise (the later one) and so glad we did. It was the highlight of the trip! The food and wine was fabulous (and they provided a delicious vegetarian option for my daughter) and the music was lovely - really added to the atmosphere. Passing by the Illuminated Eiffel Tower was incredible and not something we will ever forgot. Special thanks to Yannick (I hope I’ve remembered his name!) who did a wonderful job looking after us. If you’re visiting Paris, I strongly recommend this.

Perfect way to pause and still enjoy Paris

Great way to relax after a lot of walking. Everything in Paris is beautiful and therefore it can be physical and visually exhausting. The cruise dinner with Naji was perfect. He is attentive not intrusive engaging and listened to my concerns re food allergies. Highly recommended

Paris Seine Dinner, Perfectly Romantic

Maxim’s cruised every part of Paris along the Seine. The food was absolutely fantastic and the music act was fun and romantic. It’s worth the money. I highly recommend this cruise.
