Our guide Izabele was fantastic!!! She was born and raised in Paris so her perspective was fun but more importantly local. She walked us around to all of the stops listed and customized the tour baed on our interests. Would highly recommend her to any first-timers.

Getting our bearings on the beautiful city of Paris

We met Andrea for our City Kickstarter tour and he was fantastic. Met us on the left bank and then provided us an overview and introduction to the beautiful city of Paris. Andrea shared many interesting stories and gave us a good introduction to what and how we should approach our week ahead. Andrea was easy to engage and open to questions and sharing opinions.

Guide never showed.

The guide never showed up. We are waiting to hear from trip advisor for a refund or will dispute the charge through our credit card.

Entertaining guided tour through a Parisian quarter

An entertaining and interesting walk through the Latin Quarter. Many thanks to Gelsomina; who gave us a little insight into the history of this city. Highly recommended and happy to return at any time

Money well spent

Our guide was knowledgeable and smart. She offered us a lot of great tips. We used this tour to get ideas on where to spend our limited amount of time (2.5 days) in Paris.

Great Intro to the City

Great way to get “the lay of the land”. We learned so much of the history and what influenced the building of Paris. Our guide was friendly, spoke English well and made great suggestions for dining and shopping. Have good safety advice, as well. Make sure to wear walking shoes.

Great way to kick off our trip!

We had a great private tour with our guide Alpha. She taught us a lot about Parisian history and culture. And she was also patient as we practiced our French. It was a great way to spend our first morning in Paris and very helpful for the rest of our trip. She gave us some restaurant and sight seeing recommendations which proved very useful. 100% recommended to anybody visiting Paris for the first time!

Well planned, beautiful tour of the city.

Manon was extremely knowledgeable about the city and managed to take us around to many of the beautiful historic sites we’d often see in movies. Great tour. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect start to our week in Paris

The Private Kickstart Tour of Paris with Gelsomina was the perfect guide sharing a combination of the history, architecture, politics, food and wine of Paris. Our walking tour through Paris was casual , fun and informative. Gelsomina is a great communicator, fun to be with and very knowledgeable of her city. She shared restaurant and site seeing ideas for the rest of our trip and was the perfect start to our week in Paris.

This is a good tour to get oriented to central tourist area of Paris. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Provided us good local tips including restaurants , metro use, phone and text use

Greg was perfect!

Greg was great! He was very knowledgeable and made our trip to Paris better. We did this tour on day two and he had some great tips for us. Stuff we never would have figured out on our own. Took us to places we would not have seen. And (for example) showed us how to get the most delicious affordable lunch like a local and take it to the Luxembourg Gardens. It was really memorable. Also had some great recommendations for stuff for us to do for the next week. All of his recommendations were right on and his knowledge of the history of the Latin Quarter was so interesting. Just enough details and not at all boring. We loved it. Thanks, Greg! Would definitely recommend this private tour.

Only a walking tour of the Latin Quarter

Our tor guide was very nice but this tour was not as described and not worth the money. The title "Private City Kickstart Tour" was nothing more than a a 1-1/2 hour walk around the Latin Quarter. Hardly a Paris overview

Kickstart the day in Paris with Paolo

We loved this tour and Paolo. He took us around to areas I had not visited in the past and had so many facts and stories to share about the areas we visited. He even brought us to the best macaroon shop in the world! Paolo was such a great guide and friend to us!

Fall in Love with Paris - Family Edition

Rachelle was amazing! She was full of energy and connected with the whole family. We loved her relaxed nature. My 9 year daughter journaled the tour as we walked, my 7 year old daughter didn’t want the tour to end. Both had a blast which was a 10 on our list! My husband loved getting off the main boulevards and seeing Paris from the side streets. I loved the beauty of Luxembourg Gardens. I would highly recommend Rachelle and her way with connecting with the whole family!

Great way to start your Paris trip

I previously lived in Paris for 3 years and Gerard did a wonderful job of showing my family and myself so many cool and interesting places I didn't know existed. He even incorporated our last minute request for a tour inclusive of street art. It was a great tour and a great way to start our trip.

Give William a Raise!

I have so many good things to say about William and his tour, I could go on forever. My group had very little time to truly explore, but William was able to make us feel as though we had seen the entirety of the city in just a few hours. We explored places we would have never thought to go. He gave excellent suggestions, and was overall a very fun and intelligent individual! We would return just to see him, the real treasure of Paris!  Merci beaucoup, William!

Citron Tour

We did this twice with peer customizing the tour both times what incredible days he is such a cool guy, great car, and so knowledgeable, being born and raised in Paris. Showed a secret little hidden gems that she would never find on your own.

Through the eyes of a local is priceless!

It is so important to see the city you are traveling in through the eyes of a local. Juliette had so much to share and was helpful in giving us suggestions even after our time with her was over. I must say, there was so much information on the food and neighborhoods we walked through. Such as names of the different pastries, the locals favorites and why. Also, as we are walking we found out where the guillotine was tested and that the revolutionaries met on a particular street to discuss strategy. Important to do this on your first day there. Get the lay of the land and then from there branch out. Wear comfy shoes and be prepared to walk. Then sit a moment and digest the information she has given you and determine your next course of action. Thank you Juliette for showing us Paris through your eyes.

Great introduction to Paris

We had an amazing time touring Paris with Wan. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her work. Our children (14,12,10) were fully engaged! We would highly recommend Wan!

William was the 'bomb!' We couldn't have asked for a better giude thru Paris. This was a a girls birthday trip and William gave us a great start. He was funny, knowledgeable, and good company. He gave us great recommendations for shopping, dinning and short cut advise. He was accessible to us thru our entire trip for great advice and recommendations. We highly, highly recommended William. Great start!

This was our first time in Paris. We had not had a chance to plan the trip at all, so we just booked this and got started.  True to its name, it was a genuinely good 'Kickstart'. Romy made the difference, though. She was knowledgeable, informative, flexible and, well, fun to engage with. She certainly presents things in a way that makes you think and get involved in your visit. Will certainly book other tours. Kudos to you, Romy.

Had a great tour with Paolo

My husband and I booked a private tour with Paolo and had a very good time. He gave a great introduction to Parisian life, showed us some beautiful spots in one of Paris' top neighborhoods and answered all of our questions patiently. Would definitely recommend!

Chloé was amazing-Paris Kick off Tour

Chloe was a gem!We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with her through the Latin Quarter and surrounding area.It was great to see the city and hear stories from someone who has lived here.She was kind enough to send an email from her with recommendations of things to do and restaurants to eat at that were 'local favorites' and not touristy.Chloe was amazing with our daughters as well.She engaged them in conversation and interacted with them.She was sweet and took family photos for us along the way as well.Thank you Chloe for starting our trip to Paris on the right foot!

Kickstart tour Paris Ile de la Cité

We had a relaxed and interesting tour with our family of 6 with Alex around Ile de la Cité. She is very knowlegable and gave us lots of interesting facts and tips. A good way to kickstart a holiday in Paris!

Great tour

My daughter and I enjoyed our tour with Mathilde. We were unable to connect with her on the first date we had set, but she was able to accommodate us the next day which was really nice. She also helped us get to our next destination after the tour. We did quite a lot of walking on the tour and got to see a lot! We had a great time and Mathilde was very friendly and informative. We really enjoyed the croissants! The only downside was that the meeting place was hard to find and was far from any Metro stop. I would suggest taking a taxi.

Our group included a 9 year old and two 16 year old girls and we all really enjoyed our tour with Will. His stories were interesting and informative, a great start to our time in Paris. A real highlight. Highly recommend

Novel experience

A great introduction to Paris that is off the beaten track. Very nice walk in the backs streets, learning about aspects of the city that large mainstream tours will not do. Our guide - William - was very friendly and taught me much and kept the 2 kids interested (12 and 16 years).

Kickstart Trip Great Way to Start Our Stay

Walked around a beautiful part of Paris with our host Rachelle. She did a great job, was very informational and pleasant to be with. She has a good deal of knowledge of the history of the area and her love of the subject was infectious. Great way to start our 7-day stay in the City of Lights!

Best thing we did in Paris

We had a lovely walk with Murilo. He showed us parts of Paris that we wouldn't have found on our own. We booked a 10am slot and it was perfect because by 12pm we found that the spots we earlier had to ourselves were now full of tour groups. He was very patient waiting for us to take as many photos as we needed before moving on. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Introduction to Paris

We had an amazing few hours being taken around by William checking out some great parts of Paris - some of them not on your cookie cutter tour routes. Will had a lot of energy and great knowledge of Paris and it's history (both old and new) Our teenage kids (14,16,18) rated this tour, especially Will as their favourite tour. We did 5 tours during our European holiday. William spend time giving us some great hints on places to eat and areas to visit whilst in Paris - all turned out to be great. We would highly recommend Will as your local guide in Paris.

Kickstart tour with William

Our family of four met William for the Kickstart to Paris tour. We enjoyed walking around the city and learning about history and architecture. He also pointed out restaurants and shops to visit later on our trip and helped us refine our itinerary over coffee. Would recommend this or other tours with William!

Walking tour with William

We visited Paris for the first time, staying in Saint Germain and accompanied by teenage girls, and wanted to do something other than the ubiquitous bus tours to get grounded in the city on the first full day of our visit. Our tour guide William was really great, we walked through the area by the Seine and Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter and Sorbonne, Luxembourg Garden and the Louvre, stopping at a cafe along the way. William also gave us some great ideas on what to do (and not do) with our days, including what turned out to be the highlight of our trip: renting a boat to tour around the canals in NE Paris, an idea we never would have thought of and totally away from the hordes of tourists. Our girls loved this, and also pronounced William to be ‘chill’, which is a high compliment!

Wonderful walking tour in Paris with Adrien

We were in Paris for a few days before heading on a Loire Valley biking trip with our sons and their wives. All of us had been to Paris before, but we wanted to do a walking tour together. Turned out to be a great decision! Adrien was fun, informed and full of energy. We started on a somber note, staring at the recently burned Notre Dame Cathedral, and it was quite moving to hear Adrien describe the significance of the cathedral to him and his countrymen, and how the fire impacted him emotionally. Adrien was very knowledgeable about local history and his narrative was peppered with interesting stories and trivia. We enjoyed the exchange immensely! Especially liked walking around the Sorbonne and seeing the Pantheon. The buildings are, of course, beautiful and magnificent, but having someone guide you and provide the historical and social context made it a far more rewarding experience. Thank you, Adrien!
