Priority Admission To The d'Orsay Museum - Optional Private Guide

Paris 1874 was excellent!

The museum was great, but we had trouble getting in with our voucher because there was not a barcode on it.

Search for your own audio tour. Don't use theirs...

We were able to enter the museum, but denied our audio tour. Instead we were instructed to purchase the museum's audio tour for $6 each. Unfortunately over half of the numbered audio tour entries result in a "bad number" error. The problems with the audio tour and lack of a definitive tour plan put a damper on the entire experience. My advice would be to download your own audio tour, bring your own ear buds/headphones so that you might be comfortable as you explore the museum. FYI, there is free Wi-Fi on site.

Good way to avoid lines.

We were able to get at the precisely allotted time avoiding long lines. Had some difficulty downloading the tickets but Viator was response and resent on WhatsApp and followed up.

Impressionism gold mine

The Orsay museum is quite an experience. The former train station is an impressive venue. The impressionist wing on the 5th floor is fantastic. The volume is almost overwhelming. The 1874 exhibition was also well worth it. Rodin’s the Thinker is also there. Too much to see in one visit. Some pieces are on loan to other museums but we were fortunate to see Monet’s sentinel work impressionist sunrise in the 1874 exhibit. You should budget your time to focus and enjoy the works of the artists you would like to see most first. Museum was crowded as are all museums in Paris. I would definitely return with a guide or plan to see the rest of the museum. Favorite museum of the Paris trip and that was after seeing the Louvre. Highly recommend this experience.

Breathtaking experience

Had an amazing experience although we did not get to see everything since the museum was closing it was still absolutely beautiful. The only thing I will say is if you want to take your time or are a true art lover DO NOT book a later appointment.

Museum visit

Very easy. Many email updates. Able to pull my tickets right from the app was great. The directions of where to go were literally down to the exact door entrance.

Musee D’Orsay

Tour was to include audio guides- we could not get any, nor would Museum accept Viator entrance sheet, requiring us to purchase the guides for the four of us.

Amazing DO NOT MiSS

Not to be missed. If you’re limited with time like less than 2 hours, just hit the 5th floor and you will be more than fulfilled with some of the greatest art in the world.

Great museum

Really cool museum. Tons to see and you could spend hours in here like we did. Getting to skip the line with the priority admission was a game changer for us too.

Royal Screw Up

Having to stand in line to buy tickets as Viator never sent me the tickets I paid for! Viator said they would send the tickets 24 hours in advance. I downloaded everything and all it said was "this is not a ticket" I figured it was me. I gave my phone to the young lady at the gate and she couldn't find the tickets either!! I had to go back and buy more tickets. Humiliating!

The Gift of the D’Orsay Museum

Musee D’Orsay was the highlight of a recent trip to Paris. The ease of purchasing a skip-the-line ticket through Viator was great. Even though it was a Sunday I got in with no waiting. The museum itself is amazing. Besides the regular holdings I especially enjoyed a special exhibit of Nathanaelle Herberlin’s work. Do not miss this experience!

Very disappointed

We received no QR codes & only one admission & no receipt for the audio tour, so had to purchase one admission & audios when we’d already purchased them from you

Audio not relevant with the artwork in the museum

Priority admission is good, but the audio is not good. It has nothing to do with the artwork. Also the museum closed at 5:30 pm. We have very limited time to see the artwork with a 4 pm entry.

Recommend!

We have booked skip the line ticket. We have arrived early, the staff refer us to different queue and we entered almost immediately!

Misleading

The museum is fantastic and a must see …but I thought I was paying for a guided tour about some of the art pieces housed in the museum. Instead, I was provided with an AUDIO, ( not a person ), that only talked about the history of the building and its construction ,and NOT the art pieces within the museum .. very misleading. Do not recommend

Excellent

We spent 5 hours at this museum and it was spectacular. We chose to do this museum instead of the Louvre, because its much smaller and contains most of our favorite artists.

D’Orsay museum is a not-to-miss experience in Paris!

Viator with a Skip-the-Line ticket got me into a most memorable experience: the Musee d’Orsay in Paris.!

No tickets to download!

I paid for the experience and received text messages with pdf files that were not tickets. I did not receive an email with tickets. I needed to purchase another set of tickets at the museum.

Awesome

We got to see Van Gogh, Monet and many other painters from the impressionistic period. Easy entry, few crowds and quiet atmosphere.

Do not miss d’orsay

I loved the structure even a little more than I love the collection. The original train station was evident in the adaptation was perfect

Thrilling experience

The impressionist's paintings were fantastic. It is thrilling to have in front of you a great masterpiece of art. Could spend hours inside the mueseum.

Where was the audio?9

I’m not sure what the $72 for 2 people got me. The museum made us pay for an audio tour and I thought that was included. The ticket was difficult to access on the phone. It might have been better to purchase a ticket on the museum’s website.

One of the most wonderful museums we have ever gone too. A must “stop” on your tour of Paris. Great location and easy yo get too.

Great impressionists’ work at the d’ Orsay

Loved seeing all the impressionist masterpieces. We had a very difficult time redeeming our voucher yo get our tickets. The museum was so crowded that it made the experience less enjoyable.

The good outweighed the bad

Musée was wonderful experience Would not recommend booking thru trip advisor. Very confusing , convoluted process of actually getting tickets.

Chaos and long wait time to enter museum with our Priority bistro tickets

5th floor exhibits were nice special exhibit not as many paintings as I was expecting. Approaching the d’Orsay was pure chaos. Lines everywhere. Viator ticket directions said go to gate A. There are 2 gates A’s. A1 and A 2. Museum personnel not very helpful in directing people. Finally figured out A1 was our gate . We finally entered museum one hour after our ticketed time. Museum got greedy and totally oversold advance tickets. Museum was packed inside.

Horrible Experience!!

Never was able to get into this Museum!! Very frustrating!! Will be calling the office when u return and speaking to a Manager about the horrible experience. Very upset!!

Great Museum, allow plenty of time

Priority admission was okay, we still had to wait for an hour past our time to enter. However the museum is amazing. Unfortunately we didn't get tons of time in the museum (had another reservation) so we will have to return on a future trip. Suggest give 5 hours for this museum, don't rush through.

Super crowded!

The museum was jammed and each room’s exhibits offered little space or time to enjoy and to take in. We went midday on Sat in late April. The old train station setting was wonderful but letting in 200-300 per half hour overwhelms the exhibits. The MFA in Boston offers a much more sane a beautiful space to see the same Impressionists. Don’t waste your time going to this exhibit at least on a busy day.

Looooovd this museum. Particularly the impressionists. Totally worth it to purchase priority passes. So easy to get in!

Great art experience

Huge lines if we didn't have the priority ticket. Was even a half hour early, and let right in! Amazing museum!

You miss represented yourself and the fee I paid you did nothing. Had I known how lame your program was I would’ve never booked it. I felt cheated. I cancelled 2 other trips I had scheduled with Viator.

Bad experience at Musee D’Orsay

It was awful. The musee d’Orsay said this happens frequently with Viator. My bar code was not sent to me 24 hours prior like the app said it would be and I had to pay an additional entrance fee to get in. Nobody would answer in customer service at Viator and my barcode was finally sent at 5pm even when we were set to enter at 4pm.

Musee d"Orsay has a lot to take in. Start on the 5th floor and work your way down.

There is so much to see here - be sure to have comfortable shoes on and plan your visit accordingly. We started on the top floor and worked our way down. It is a lot to take in. We had a 2:00 entry time and arrived a few minutes late after an amazing lunch. They directed us to the no-ticket line but had us move to the front of that line where we breezed through security and went straight in. Give yourself ample time to take this museum in! We were there for 3 hours and I felt mentally exhausted by the time we left. I am very glad I went, though.

Well worth the trip - gorgeous museum.

This was a beautiful museum and well adding this to your list especially if you like art. The only thing I would recommend is have the museum a bit cooler. There were many people but not as many as there could have been.

Loved The d'Orsay!

We loved The d'Orsay Museum! It was SO much more enjoyable than the Louvre. Easy to navigate despite the crowds, clean, and well kept. The Priority Admission was great! We walked right in - no lines!

Skip the line at D’Orsay

Saw lines when we first arrived, so we bought these skip the line tickets to prevent any waiting. Turns out there was not a wait when we arrived, but we were happy to be safer than sorry. The audio guide was not particularly helpful.

Musee Dorsey …. But a little concerned that the tickets did not turn up until the day before our visit - which caused me some worry !!

A Once in a Life Time Experience-don't miss it!

A once in a Lifetime experience to visit this incredible building. There was a queue even though we had advanced tickets so please be prepared for this.Also a queue for cafe and toilets-it's very busy.The exhibitions of the famous sculptures and paintings can be viewed very closely so this was a pleasant surprise. My earphones didn't work at first so they were exchanged and I was impressed by the kind and concerned way this was handled. All in all a mind blowing experience, not to be missed!

terrific museum not to be missed.

All impressionist painters are on full display and could have spent another two hours just walking and looking at the greats.

The tickets came last minute, I was a bit worried but it came. I thought I was going to get listening instructions but i had to pay extra. I would rather buy the ticket through the museum online

Loved it!

Highly recommend - going early and skipping the line is a must (saved well over an hour) and Adi is incredibly knowledgeable. Great tour!

Must see on your first visit to Paris

We bought our tickets through Viator and got our confirmation immediately. More than 24 hours prior to our scheduled visit to the museum we got our tickets and specific instructions on how to proceed and get the best out of our experience! We loved the exhibitions at the museum. Its an amazing experience for all ages! Its a must see in Paris!!!!
