Highlight of our trip to Paris

We had a great time with Captain Alexis. Even though we arrived early, he was already at the dock and ready to go. Since there wasn’t a lot of boat traffic on the Seine, he was able to speed the boat up at times, which our teenagers really enjoyed. He also showed our teens how to pilot the boat. The whole family enjoyed this trip despite the fact that we got caught in some rain on the way back to the dock. Taking a boat allows for a unique vantage point of the famous bridges and monuments in Paris. If you are considering a Seine River boat tour, make it this one! You won’t regret it.

Wonderful afternoon

Alexis was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, but also unobtrusive, allowing us to relax and chat to ourselves, while occasionally pointing out significant sights and history, and taking pictures for us at some good spots. The views from the river were very impressive even for a Parisian of several years!

Best Part of Our Trip

What an amazing boat ride, beautiful sites and the history of the city! Our guide was perfect educating us on all the history and he made the experience perfect for us! Must do in Paris!! Loved the private ride verse the very crowded other boats!!!!

Amazing Boat Ride

What a great experience! Our family of 6 had so much fun and what a great view! We were so thankful to have such a small intimate ride compared to those big boats that we kept seeing. Alexis was so knowledgeable and funny. Don’t hesitate to book this and we’ll see you next time we’re in Paris!

One of our best experiences in the city

Beautiful experience with the fantastic Captain Alexis who gave us fantastic explanations. Do not take the large tour boats. Take this one. One of the best ways to see the city.

Lovely tour through Paris on the Seine. Don’t waste your time on a packed tour boat.

Way better than the river cruise on a packed tour boat. We loved having the boat all to ourselves and enjoyed our own wine and snacks. Alexis was a great tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and proud of his city. This is the only way to see Paris by boat. We would definitely do this tour again.

Tour with 2 children

We had an absolutely amazing time on our excursion with Captain Alexis! We sailed with our children 5 and 6. He explained the different landmarks we were seeing and was friendly and humorous. He let us all take turns driving the boat. At the end our kids had such a great time they gave him a big hug! Can’t recommend this enough.

Amazing experience!

This was a fabulous experience! We really enjoyed getting to see famous Paris sites from a private boat. The captain was friendly and even let my teens drive the boat briefly. He provided a bottle of wine and we brought our own bread and cheese. We got some great pictures of our family.

Fantastic! This is truly a wonderful experience that our family highly recommends. The delightful captain is knowledgeable, personable and takes pictures with all the Paris landmarks. The time flies by and you will have to pinch yourself to realize you are cruising the Seine. If you have the opportunity, book this cruise.

Amazing Experience

We booked this trip for my husband’s birthday. It was an amazing way to see the city. We had our 13 year old son with us as well and our captain involved him in the tour which built the excitement. We got some wonderful family photos as well. I would highly recommend this trip.

My recommendations to assist you on your trip to Paris.

My wife and I visited Paris twice on our own plan. Each time we visited during the fall. Lower temperatures and fewer tourists. This is a bold move which requires you to do the research. On our first trip we went thru London (Heithrow Airport) and took the train to Paris on the train (Eurostar) from a London station direct to Nord Paris. It was a wonderful experience to take the train to Paris. On a second trip, we flew directly to de Gaulle Airport outside Paris. Two options !! Selecting a Hotel in Paris begins with what section of Paris you wish to stay in. If you are interested in staying longer than a week, you can rent an apartment for a month (look up on line). We stayed in the West Bank which we were very happy with. Our hotel was in the section very near to Blvd, St. Michael and the Sorbonne area and Luxenboug Gardens.. Our Hotel was the "Hotel Trianon Rive Gauche" on Rue deVangirand. By the way all rooms in Paris are generally small than you think that they should be. Being near the Sorbonne can be fun. You meet students our walking after dinner. They want to practice there English. One of the issues is not speaking French. We found that generally most people in Paris can speak some version of English. In some of the restuarants in the West Bank have a version of the menu in English. However, I recommend that you have a backup. You should learn how to say "Do you speak English !" You can look it up on line. The French would be " Pouvez-vous anglais ". You can write it out on a paper to have with you. Once you have made reservations, you should use the front desk staff to help you You are paying for it. For instance, they can make reservations for you. We made side trips to Versailes and Giverney which will be for a day each. You can get on a small bus with a guide who will be of great assistance to you. There are a couple of points that you need to understand. Most, if not all, of the high end places like The Louvre and The Dorsay have entrance fees. You can buy your tickets on line before you leave for you trip. This is a Big Deal and it can cost you a long time waiting in line to buy your tickets. Then, there is the Louvre ! The Louvre is huge and contains a very items of historic value. You must have a clear understanding of what you want to see. This is how it works: You go to the pyramid entertrace and then two very large escalators carry you down into what I call the "big room". From the Big Room, you go into hallways that take you though your visit. You have to know when you get into the Big Room, what you want to see. You can waste hours. The Louvre is so large that you cannot see it all in one day. So, if, there is something really important to you, know which hall to take. I would recommend that you at least see these places. 1. Notre Dame is still under construction. 2. Luxenbourg Gardens. 3. The Louve 4. The Dorsay is special. You can spend the better part of a day in there. If you are a fan of impresenist painters, Visit the fifth floor. some Monet painting. 5. St Chapple Church 6. Sacre Coure Church on Montmartre hill (on a clear day) 7. If you are a Monet fan, visit Monet's home in Giverney. 8. Visit Versailles, the buildings and the gardens are stunning. General information: 1. Subway is good, but you need clear directions. (Hotel Desk) Be careful about pickpockets in crowed areas. In any crowed area, be aware of pick pockets. 2. We all want to save money, but sometimes it takes to long walk which wastes your time. I hope that I have provided a good beginning for your plan.

Such a fun cruise!

Me and my parents really enjoyed our private cruise! It's a great way to experience the river without dealing with crowds, and the captain does a great job of pointing out all the major sights, while taking amazing pictures and providing you with wine. I am slightly scared of water but eventually got used to the motion you feel on a smaller boat. Definitely recommended if you'd like to cruise the Seine River with a great view.

Great way to ride on the Seine.

What a great way to see the sites on the Seine. Alexis made sure we had time to take pictures that we wanted along the route. We were happy that we took an exclusive tour after seeing the other tour boats crammed with people. The pick up location was easy to find. Overall it was a great experience! This was the highlight of our trip! Our captain was extremely knowledgeable, family oriented, stopped at all the great photo ops and was entertaining!

A great small boat cruise

It was a fun way for our group of six to have a private cruise up and down the Seine in Paris. The Captain pointed out the sights and took some fun photos of us.

Alexis made sure we got to see as much of Paris as possible before the rain hit. He was friendly, flexible, knowledgeable and made this trip one of our favorite things about visiting Paris. If you're thinking about booking this trip, do it!

We were a group of four and had the most wonderful afternoon on this private cruise! We brought lunch with us and a delicious bottle of wine was provided. It was so relaxing to cruise along the seine with stunning views and a break from the crowds. Was such a great way to take in all the sights. Would highly recommend!

Highlight of our visit to Paris!

We had a wonderful time with our family and Captain Alexis! He did a great job of pointing out landmarks and special areas. He provided a nice bottle of wine and a way to keep the glasses from spilling. He took pictures for us and provided a Bluetooth speaker so that we could play music. It was truly a highlight of our visit to Paris!

Favorite part of the trip!

Captain Alexis made this cruise around Paris memorable! He knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating for my family (with older parents). Some may not think the price is worth the experience, but I can tell you that my family thought it was the best part of our 3 day stay. I would book again when I come back in a few years!

Spectacular final night in Paris.

This was the final tour we took to end our week in Paris and it was a perfect way to celebrate an amazing week. Captain Alexis toured us past all the Paris landmarks we had walked by earlier in the week. It was wonderful to see all these sights from the perspective of the river, especially all the bridges with the gargoyles, grotesques and decorative carvings. Alexis provided lots of information and historical background about many of the landmarks and bridges and he was so kind to take several group photos of us. We enjoyed toasting our week in Paris with a lovely bottle of wine. Thank you again Captain Alexis for making our final night in Paris spectacular.

A Must Do when in Paris!

The absolute best and breathtaking views to see many of the famous historical sites in Paris…. From the Seine River. Our Captain, Alexis was so entertaining and welcoming. This is a “must do” when you visit France. We rented the boat for just the two of us and it was wonderful to avoid the crowds and be on the water. Don’t miss this once in a life-time opportunity! Great afternoon

We enjoyed our tour with Alexis on the Seine river. We brought a picnic lunch on board and enjoyed eating while taking in the sites of Paris. Alexis was very accommodating with some time change requests we had.

An incredible "MUST do" experience

Stop searching for the perfect Paris activity and book this boat trip with Captain Alexis! My family (all adults) had an incredible time. Even my typically incredulous Uncle gave the experience very high praise. Captain Alexis knew all the interesting history and made sure we got fantastic photos. More importantly, he ensured we all had so much fun! He gifted us a wonderful bottle of wine, which we enjoyed with the picnic we brought. I recommend bringing snacks to enjoy and jackets as it will be cooler in the evening with the wind; we were prepared and it was perfect. Some in our group know French, but Captain Alexis also speaks excellent English for those who do not. This was so much better than the big cruise boats - more comfortable, personalized, and FUN! Captain Alexis will also drop you off at a dock closer to Paris center upon return, and gave us helpful directions to get home. Truly an incredible experience that I will book again the next time I visit Paris!

Proposal on the boat in Paris

We had the most amazing experience on our boat cruise with Alexis. I contacted Alexis before the trip to let him know that I planned to propose to my girlfriend on the boat. He was so helpful, offering to take videos and photos and to let me know when would be the best moment. On the day with the rain pouring, we were not sure we would even be able to take off but Alexis was always confident the sun would come out. He even brought along a friend as the photographer. At the Statue of Liberty, Alexis nudged us to the front of the boat and I popped the question. She said Yes and Alexis brought the wine out! We then toured the centre of Paris as an engaged couple with Alexis pointing out the sights of Paris whilst we played music on the boat. An amazing experience and a must do in Paris!

Best Paris Outing!

The most fun outing I’ve ever had in Paris! Captain Alexis is a phenomenal captain. He showed us all the sights, taught us things we didn’t know, gave us amazing champagne, took photos, and showed us the best time. I hope to be able to do it again.

MUST DO!

This was our most favorite activity of the whole trip. Alexis was informative and provided a great trip. He suggested the best time to eat and take pictures. At times it was hard to understand his info over the wind, but it didn't impact our trip. We all wanted to go again because we loved it so much. I am so glad we chose this tour over a large and crowded boat.

Unforgettable views of Paris -- highly recommend!

Our group of five thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Seine with Captain Alexis. We've lived in Paris for almost a year, but this is the first time we saw the city from a boat. We took our visiting guests and it was a highlight of their stay. Highly recommend. Captain Alexis did all he could to ensure a wonderful experience.

An amazing tour with Alexis!

What more can I say about Alexis? We had to adjust our start time more than once and he accommodated us at every turn. He was very helpful right from the beginning, this was before the boat trip! . A perfect bottle of Rose set the tone for the evening and between his knowledge of Paris and his care for my family, I would give 6 starts if I could! He surprised my wife as it was her birthday with a spectacular display at the Eiffel tower. At the end of it all he dropped us off at a different location than we started so it would be easier for us to navigate home! I would 1000% take this trip with him again! You will not regret booking this one!!

Fun time!

We went as a last activity for my best friends hen in Paris. We had a great time, only wish is that an option of wine was given to choose from and perhaps 2 bottles for 8 people. Although, that did not take away from the fun and our captain was friendly, fun and kind!

AMAZING!

Captain Alexis was absolutely fabulous. He was warm, funny, and even accommodated us arriving early! I have visited Paris many times, but I have never seen Paris this way before. It was truly magical and made for an unforgettable evening.

Amazing! An absolute MUST DO

Amazing!! By far the best way to see the city. We brought some drinks and snacks and our whole family from age 2 all the way to the parents loved the experience. Alexis - our guide - was incredible. What a fun time! I honestly can’t recommend this enough.

Magnifique après midi avec Alexis qui non seulement est super sympa mais connaît parfaitement le circuit, très prévoyant (il faisait 37 on a beaucoup bu, chapeaux etc). Merci pour ce super moment à Paris, très exclusif !
