Best way to see the sights of Paris

We found the oat stop easily using Google. We were only in Paris for a few hours. This was the best way for us with 2 babies to see the sights. Also the captain was really helpful in guiding us back to Gare du Nord . We had to get off at a different stop as a barge was stuck un the bridge and the police were trying to help. Would definitely use this again.

Disappointing

I did not receive a confirmation email from the vendor & was unable to download my tickets. When I contacted the vendor by email, I got no reply. The representative on the street for the company would not direct me on who to contact to get this resolved. I eventually bought the ticket I needed at the kiosk riverside. Purchasing this ticket online was a complete fiasco. Although I like the hop on/off boat trip, I would never purchase tickets online. Doubt that I will be able to get a refund. Never again. Worth the trip

Greatly enjoyed the boat experience. It was easy to get to and being able to ride along the river was great.

Not recommended.

The company is absolutely not reliable, lying about the times of their boats being delayed, and then being terribly rude to the passengers, not giving any explanations or suggesting any solutions, but just offering you to “go off the boat”. Not recommended.

A great way to save your legs from walking!

This worked like clockwork. There is a schedule that shows in real time where the boat will be. We bought the two day pass and used it to get up and down the Seine instead of walking. Reliable. We'll done!

Not a 24 hour ticket!

This was an expensive hop on hop off cruise and while it says the tix are for 24 hours the boats STOP running at 7p so if you think you are going to see Paris later in the afternoon using this cruise it’s VERY disappointing to find out you can’t. Good news…boats run every 15-20 min so if you go early in the day you can actually get off and see the sites / grab a bite and catch the next boat.

Value

Easy-to-use & find docking locations. Friendly staff. Avoided land traffic. Lovely to just ride an hour or so for rest. No long waits between pickups.

Meh

We got on at the Louvre and then they shut down the boat by the next stop (Eiffel Tower). No explanation given. The boat was supposed to be open until after 10pm and this was 7:30pm.

Cruise is good but batobus needs to update their website with outdated information

Cruise was good once we figured it out, but batobus needs to add better information in the viator listing. I found their website and was able to find some information but the website doesn’t show a schedule so if you’re looking outside of the cruise hours it’s not easy to find the schedule. The FAQ is also wrong - it said the first cruise took of from the Notre Dame stop at 10 but the next morning live schedule said 10:17 and that was the correct schedule.

The worst of humanity

Overcrowded and filled with sneezing and coughing tourists. It was also very loud and not the least bit relaxing or enjoyable.

No worth the money views very low from water too!

Hard to find the boats stops & app provided incorrect information to get to stops. No tour info provided either unlike hop on hop off bus. That was better!

Great visit to Paris but very dissapointed in Batobus.

Denied boarding to 2 boats due to French school children taking priority. There elderly and young families made to stand aside even when we were there first. No refund offered. As such we missed our booking for the Eiffel Tower. Utterly disgusting level of customer service. Racist and xenophobic. Avoid at all cost.

Service needs expanding.

Boat does not travel far enough up or down the Seine river to make it worthwhile. Boat starts too late in the morning and ends too early in the evening.

Great way to navigate Paris.

Great way to navigate Paris. Plan ahead, the intercom on the boat was difficult to hear (especially the English portion) so have a good understanding of the stops and specific locations in advance. We got off a a stop too early for the Eiffel Tower and ended up seeing a little more of Paris than was necessary.

Worth it

It was worth it, but when they email the stops, they should list them in the order of the trip. They should also state the last time in each stop that you could get in.

Bad Experience

Purchased 2-day ticket … arrived Paris Tuesday afternoon; light rain … around 4 pm headed for Louvre area; couldn’t find river cruise landing; no one we approached knew … tried to contact aviator, but no response …finally stood on bridge and noticed one landing, by the time we got to landing we missed the boat … as it was 6:00 pm and the cruises would stop we left … next day we returned, but Viator indicated 2-day pass was completed, tickets unavailable … service not provided … refund request denied

Great way to view Paris

Was not a tour but rather a reasonably priced river taxi. They called out the stops but that was about it. Comfortable way to view the major sites of Paris along the Seine.

Worth the money!

There’s no audio so much of the understanding of what you really see is lost. Also no way to get out of the sun! But still glad I went!

Easy way to navigate the Seine River

The meeting place to start our trip was not made clear to us and the pick up point closest to us was closed and we were not told of it's closure. The phone number we called for the tour operator didn't help.

The boat tour gave views of Paris from both sides and was an amazing way to visit all the sites. without hassle. Great form of transportation to and from all major sites.

Pleasant Travels

Very easy and pleasant way to visit the major sites of Paris. We had a 48 hour pass which made our stay very convenient.

Terrible Customers service, orientated on taken money without authorisation! No refund offered!

We strongly advise against using this website. Despite making a provisional booking for a tour to the Louvre, they charged our credit card €79.80 without our authorization, two days prior to the scheduled tour. Upon discovering that the tour only costs €17 per person, we attempted to cancel over 24 hours in advance, but received no response from the company, even via WhatsApp, which appeared to be a Turkish number. As they have refused to issue a refund, we have been compelled to initiate a dispute via PayPal. This behavior is deceptive and does not reflect a reputable service.

Disappointing

The station was closed up with no notice or directions. We weren’t sure what to do so we walked in the heat to the next station. Once on the boat the views were lovely but there was no “tour guide.” The operator just called out the stops. It was unbearably hot with no protection from the sun.

A great way to see landmarks in Paris and a very reasonable price. It’s not a tour but a river boat bus so you can get on and off at designated stops whenever you like for the day.

Shocking waste of money

Shocking waste of money. Two stops closed, no messages to that effect until you walk miles to the stop. Too few boats, therefore hour long waits until you can get on a boat. Avoid at all costs.

Excellent way to see Paris by boat

Regular boats , most we had to wait was 25 minutes, very reasonably priced with strategic stops . That’s all I need to say so blah blah blah to fill up the space , to make the 100 words is to many blah blah blah blah

Great way to get to sites in Paris!

We toured on a rainy day and the Batobus boat was enclosed, clean and warm. There was a covered open area in the back where we still got some great shots of the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame from the Seine. The staff were efficient and friendly. We got a 24 hour ticket and got to the main tourist sites with no problem.

No information shared on sights but good way to travel down the river

This boat was a great way to get back to Notre Dame and Latin Quarter from Eiffel Tower, as long as you know there's no discussion of sights you see along the way. It's an alternate transportation route.

Good Hop On/Off service on the Seine.

We used the Batobus on a recent family trip to Paris, our first with our kids aged 5 and 3. Having missed a boat by a matter of seconds we did have a bit of a wait for the next. Approx 30 mins but once we were on board the trip was really very good. We went down to the Eiffel Tower which was lovely and gave a new perspective of the tower for us. The boats are clean and the waters are relatively calm. We live in London and that isn't always the case on the Thames. Obviously with a lot of Paris, there are serious accessibility issues with using this service. We were travelling with a buggy which was difficult enough but if you have any mobility issues this service could be very hard work. Lots of steps etc It is also quite expensive but our tickets were valid for 24 hours (from when first scanned) so actually that gave us most of the two days that we were there.

Fantastic

We were in Paris in August and there were many many disruptions of road traffic in preparation for the Paris Olympics This basically saved our trip as it was very tough getting around on the roads Ismail was amazing and very friendly I thought this service was great However .. there are no washrooms onboard so you are out of luck if you are in need of a washroom

Disappointed but satisfactory refund due to high water conditions.

Our family of 9 were booked in advance for use on 12Mar/24. However when we arrived at the check-in area ,we found a sign saying it was closed till due to high water level. HOWEVER, by the end of the day ,we received notification by email that our tickets would be refunded . The refund has been completed satisfactorily . Although we were so disappointed re the cancellation, we’re very pleased to be refunded.

Batobus review

A good idea but poorly organised. Not easy to find the depart locations or the timetables. No brochures available ( reps said they were 'saving the planet' but the boats seem to be diesel guzzlers !?! ) everything is on the web but imo the pages are badly designed. Hot day but only a small area at rear was openair. Refreshment machine wasn't working. Overpriced and badly organised !

Careful if you pre book.

I suggest you don’t prebook your tickets on line prior to your trip. I purchased 2 online tickets at 23 Euros each then used my pre purchased on line ticket for the Batobus on a weekend recently in April when the Seine was flooded and there were only three pick up points in use. If I had purchased my ticket on the day from the kiosk, because of the limited service it would only have cost 13 Euros each. I have since communicated with Batobus and been informed that there is no chance of a refund, even though I purchased these tickets at full price in advance. Don’t pre book.

Great Way to See Paris!

Our driver/tour guide, Martin was fantastic! With his input, we decided what parts of Paris we would explore on the tour. My wife was in the side car and i was riding behind Martin and it was just so much fun! It is a unique way to see Paris that you probably wouldnt see otherwise. We talked throughout the trip when the motorcycle was a stop light. He is genuinely a very nice, friendly person, which made the whole experience even better. Thank you again!! Jeff and Stacey

No narration

I'm not sure where in the advertising for this boat trip I had an expectation of a narration along the way, but I was disappointed that they did not have narration.

Great experience, you can see Paris from the water. Slow boat so not good for transport, but just relax and enjoy the ride :)

Great “Overview” tour to hear about highlights of Rome.

This was a great “overview” tour. It was nice to be in a double decker bus, listen to the headphone audio tour, while seeing a general overview of Rome. We knew what we were going to specifically see in our visit, but this tour gave a great general recap. Easy to find greeting spot.

Ok - but be prepared

It was Ok but got the “only three stops” message only after buying. I’d suggest purchasing on site rather than through Viator so you can make an informed decision.

Batobus - SCAMMERS!

Scammers! They have spoiled our holidays in Paris! Butobus sailed tickets for me and my kids but then we found out that service is not available until further notice. Thy are ignoring my emails and calls and I can't even get my money back. Scammers!

Do not book!!!

Terrible, couldn’t load my tickets from Viator, then we we showed up to the boat only three stops were open, making it unusable for its general function of going up and down the river. Viator and Batobus refuse to refund us.

Underwhelming

Enjoyed seeing the Seine and the view of the Eiffel Tower but due to high and rough water did not get what I paid for. Only 3 stops open and this was discovered the day of use not when purchasing.
