Paris Seine River Champagne Tasting Cruise

Not flexible or fair

My friend and I were booked on this tour. We also paid for the extra bottle to go. The day our tour was set the traffic was horrible because Biden and other heads of state were in for the Normandy celebration. It took us over an hour to get to pick up point because of traffic and then we had trouble locating the meeting point so we were literally 5 minutes late. We could not board. Asked to at the very least receive the bottle we paid for and they said they couldn’t. Asked to AT LEAST be refunded the price of the bottle we paid for but would not be able to enjoy after we were already eating the cost of the tickets and were told no. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS OUTFIT. They are keeping all money with no services or goods rendered. There are plenty of alternative Seine wine cruises you can book with that can be more flexible if something goes awry to get you onto another cruise. I didn’t feel like I was asking too much to be at least refunded the cost of the bottle to go as we were not receiving it and they were still able to sell it to someone else but they declined so I felt this review was warranted.

It was ok- not worth the money

The experience was average to good. Not bad and not excellent. It was a little less than expected- it was hard to hear and I didn’t get the explanation of the third pouring. I also paid for two wine tastings for my daughter and I but was only given one bottle to take back. Maybe it was in the description it’s only one bottle of champagne per party? If so, it should have been noted better in the description of the booking.

The best taste on the Seine

Generous pours of three nice champagnes - so much more than a taste! Loved the ability to be inside or out. Fabulous sights along the Seine.

Champagne tasting on the Siene

It was a really nice experience, a little pricey, but the champagne was delicious and the lady was very knowledgeable about each product.

Best river cruise!

Excellent experience! You will be at the front of the boat in a private area with a few other people for this champagne tasting. The sommelier on our tasting was awesome! He gave us information on different significant places along the Seine as we went. All the champagnes were great. Highly recommend this experience!!!!

An excellent introduction to Paris

Excellent activity. Clement was a great host, we got to try three different types of champagne, and it was fun to watch the city go by from the boat. We had our own area on the ship, so it felt a little more exclusive. Highly recommended!

Very dissaointing

This trip was very expensive and the boat left without us even though we had communicated that because of a big thunderstorm it was very slow to get there. I found out afterwards that I could have booked a champagne cruise for 30 euros. This was very poorly communicated by Viator. I was it looking for expensive champagne tasting

Lovely way to spend an hour in Paris!

Lovely way to see the sights of Paris with plenty of great Champagne to enjoy onboard|! Our guide was very knowlegable and funny, gave us enough information about each champagne we tasted while still allowing us to mingle an and enjoy the boat ride.

A must do in Paris !

Such a smart and thoughtful sommelier He showed us what the labels meant and let us take our time. No rush ! Really learned alot and had a great time !

Fabulous Experience!

Such a fun experience! Champagne was great, sightseeing with a guide as well was awesome. Private room made it feel special. Allen our guide/sommelier was the best!

Loud Bachelorette party

Tour guide was amazing did fantastic job. Only problem was a Bachelorette party came in at the last second and were extremely loud the entire time even though the guide asked them to quiet down. Was almost impossible to enjoy the tour at that point. The guide did what she could to talk to all of us but we missed out on alot of historical information about the city and the champaign.

Champagne was delicious and our guide was excellent. The cruise was a perfect amount of time to see many sights in the city

For Champagne Lovers Only

There was a nice private area for the champagne tasting at the front of the boat and the sommelier was knowledgeable in the champagnes we tasted. There was nothing about the sights we were seeing. In addition it was expensive and short.

This was a wonderful way to see the sites and enjoy some great champagne. Learning more about champagne while enjoying a evening cruise and sites was amazing.

Favorite part of my Paris trip!

This cruise was one of the highlights of my Paris trip! We sampled 3 different types of champagne while cruising down the Seine and passing by historical landmarks. Our sommolier Rudy was very knowledgeable about the different champagnes and was very friendly- offering to takes pictures for us with the Eiffel Tower in the background! I was a solo traveler and after he took my picture he took a selfie of us together and I thought that was such a thoughtful thing to do. I would absolutely recommend this cruise- and request Rudy if you can!

Very romantic.

The location was great, Just under the Eifel Tower. The cruise and the Somalia were great and very romantic. Hope to do it again as soon as possible.

Lack of communication

Cruise was cancelled and I’m still waiting for a credit and for someone to respond to my emails. Cancelled due to river being too high…I understand nothing they can do, but I deserve a credit.

Cruise on Seine

The weather was a damper which couldn’t be helped. The cruise guide spoke in French and English, which was great but hard to follow along. The river was also too high to go near the Notre Dame, so that was disappointing.

Great champagne lesson on the Seine

Great knowledgeable champagne tasting with lovely views. Also it was a plus to have access to the front of the boat to get photos and videos. Only downside was that the river was too high to see some sights.

An easy way to see the city.

Do the evening cruise around sunset. When the lights turn on, the city becomes more magical. Pay for the champagne upgrade as you are on the front of the ship and not locked inside.

Such a comforting and relaxing experience.we were at the front of the boat. Wind gushing past, ripples of river and Eiffel tower sparkling at the distance . The champagne rounded up all corners

Fun experience for Champagne (and Paris) lovers

Everything was great - our sommelier, the Champagnes we tasted, the views of Paris. Even if you're already a bit of a connoisseur you can have a lot of fun!

Amazing champagne tasting experience on the Seine!

Great experience. We boarded the boat first, and we had our own private area up front separated from everyone else (kids, etc). So basically 7 people in an area that held 20 people, and we had the front of the boat for our own to take pictures outside. Highly recommend, well worth the price of $75/person.

Great experience!

We were a little concerned as we went in early January and the day before we arrived in Paris we were informed the "covered" boat was inoperable and the cruise would be in an open boat. The weather called for wind and rain...but we had a great time with Alain! He made sure we had blankets and was very generous with the champagne. The tour itself was very interesting. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time with Alan who led the cruise. He was very knowledgeable of the city, history & the champagne. He was funny & a good story teller. The champagne of the cruise was delish! He also told us about the bar where he is a sommelier. We enjoyed great wine there as well!

Amazing experience!

This was such a fun experience! We got to see the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame at night, all lit up! Rudy was great, and the champagne was wonderful! Would definitely do it again!!

Worth doing

Lovely trip, just a shame we didn’t get to see Notre Dame due to the water level on the river being too high for the boat. Nice champagnes and knowledgeable guide, but he could have done with a mic to hear him better over the noise of the boat and commentary that was being played on the rest of the boat.

Victor our sommelier. Cruise is only 30 minutes which was disappointing. But instructions on how to connect were easy.

Beautiful scenery, wonderful sommelier

Our sommelier (Clement, although I’m not sure I’m spelling it correctly) was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about champagne (which was delicious) as well as Paris. He gave us recommendations for a nearby cafe and we loved it. Due to cancellations, we had a very small group so we had the whole area of the boat for 5 people including the sommelier. We chose to stay outside for the views, and it was overall a great experience.

Sipping Champagne, living our best lives!

It was a wonderful evening. Our tour guide was awesome. Very informative and fun! It was cold/rainy the time of year we went, so the boat was perfect to capture the top spots, in a short period of time. We got great pics of the Eiffel Tower!

Perfect start to an evening in Paris

This was the perfect start to our first evening in Paris. A good length being just an hour with generous tasting of champagne, engaging staff and unbelievable scenery.

Nice night seeing Paris from Seine River

Nice and fun boat ride on the Seine River. The guide was great she knew her champagne and gave us all information on all the champagne we drank and helped take photos. She was also keeping an eye out giving us refills. Not a big boat but didn’t matter. Our group was about 12 people and it had a small patio to go outside. The boat was shared with a different tour group. Our ride went through main sites like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. Tour would’ve been better if they provided charcuterie or cheeses. I know this wasn’t included but just to have something to eat or snack on would’ve made it better. Overall enjoyed the tour would recommend.

Great Champagne on a Cold Night

Our champagne guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. There were only a few of us onboard and he made sure to talk with each of us and ask our opinions on the different champagnes. The only suggestion would be to have water available in between tastings. I know you could have purchased some but giving out a water would have been a nice touch. Everything otherwise was great.

Complete Pass

Complete disappointment. Do not waste your money. Instead, buy a ticket at the port, which is much cheaper - you still get a free glass of champagne and a lovely cruise down the Seine River, without wasting your money on this company's "experience".

Relaxing and Enjoyable

Lovely cruise, comfortable seats at Front of boat and three glasses of nice champagne. Sommelier explained the differences and a few other tidbits about Champagne. Overall very enjoyable!

Paris perfection

What a beautiful day to experience Paris at sunset. The champagne was a wonderful addition. Melanie was such a terrific hostess.

Unclear instructions and poor customer service, do not recommend!

It was my mom’s first time in Paris so we booked this tasting. The instructions were to meet at Vedettes de Paris at 6:30pm. That was all that we were told. We arrived at 6:20pm to the ticket booth that had in large letters “Vedettes de Paris” and waited there almost 10 min before my mom realized there was a group of people 2 ports away. We went to check and there was a small booth at the front of the line which was not clearly visible and had the name Vedettes of paris on it. So we got in line and it was about 6:29pm when the man at the booth told us we had missed the boat. He informed us that we had to get there at least 20 minutes early to board. This information was never shared with us anywhere on the instructions or the where to meet section. I reached out to customer service who just said they couldn’t refund us but didn’t give us any explanation or take responsibility for their very limited and unclear instructions. I travel quite a bit and often use tripadvisor for bookings, but I will no longer be booking with them for future trips. I am very disappointed that customer service was dismissive and declined my refund request without any explanation.

Quick cruise on the river with champagne

Great views from the river and great champagne and tour guide. Wear a coat if you get cold easily or it's a cool day. Make sure to get there 15 minutes early to avoid almost missing the boat like we did. 5 stars.

Surpassed expectations

We loved our champagne tasting river cruises it surpassed our expectations. Sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the opportunity to a taste 3 different champagnes. The group size was perfect and it was nice to have the option to sit inside our go to the front of the boat. Only feedback is with tickets purchased ahead of time to make it a little clearer on where to obtain your tickets for the ride. We stood on the incorrect line for some.

Must do activity

Highly recommend. Small intimate champagne “tasting” limited to about 15-20 people max. We had an amazing Sommelier Rudy that taught us about 3 great champagnes. The tasting was a full 3 glasses of champagnes. Sailing at sunset was great. You sail for about 30 mins and then u-turn for a total of 1 hr of tasting and seeing the sights on the Seine.

Great Views, Great Champagne, Relaxing Journey!

This was a great experience right before sunrise on the Siene river. You have the view of the Eiffel Tower and the rest of Paris. It's a beautiful scene with a great host who provides details about the Champagne region and three different champagnes. We Highly recommend this trip!
