Excellent private car transfers - Wonderful Service!

We used Welcome Pickups for transfers from our hotels to both the airport and train station on three separate occasions during our visit to Paris. The drivers were friendly and professional and their communication impeccable (a special thank you to Sofiane, the best of the best)! Their cars are clean and comfortable. Having a private chauffeur for the price of a standard taxi (cheaper if you factor in the likelihood of getting caught in traffic delays in Paris!) took all the stress away. Highly recommended.

Flight delay

Our flight was delayed by 1hr from Gatwick at quite short notice. I was able to WhatsApp our driver to advise him. He responded so I was happy he’d seen my message. Once we finally arrived at Orly he was waiting for us at Arrivals with a very clear board with my name. Using the App was very helpful. Everything went smoothly. Thank you.

Safe and Reliable Paris Airport to Hotel Transportation

First Time traveling to Paris and was so unsure about transportation from Airport to my hotel which was outside the main tourist area. I stayed in Gare de Lyons; some reviews said taxis will charge more to take you to other places than the main Paris city area. I was able to give hotel location for drop off and receive exact price quote. Although it was a bit more than I wanted to pay- as I did not need a Mercedes to pick me up, I felt very safe. Our driver was English speaking and very accommodating and helpful. I would use this service again. By the way - everyone in Paris was kind and helpful to us American tourists who don’t speak French.

It was so nice to be picked up and taken right to the hotel. Traveling is tiring enough. Finding trains and metros were way too much hassle. The driver found us easily and we didn’t have to worry about the terrible traffic. It is a fixed price. We took it back to the airport at the end of our trip too. The drivers both spoke English.

I booked airport transfers to and from CDG for our visit to Paris. On the ride to the hotel on arrival, I spoke with the driver about booking a ride to Versailles the next day. Before we finished checking into our hotel room, he booked the ride for us, and I had the email to finish the booking. Welcome Pickup's communication was excellent. The drivers were on time and the service excellent. I highly recommend them.

Private Airport Transfer from Paris to CDG airport

I booked a private transfer for my daughter from her hostel in the 14th arrondissement to CDG, she is under 18 and this would be her first solo car/air travel, her driver Asim Hassan Saeed speaks perfect English, was courteous, reliable, and very kind. He arrived 15minutes ahead of time, shared his location with me so I knew how they progress in the traffic, once he dropped off my daughter at the terminal, he immediately texted to let me know all went well. Got the job done

I used Welcome Pickups in two different cities on my recent Europe trip, including in Paris. In both instances, the drivers were there on time. Neither were holding a sign with my name - I had to call them and find them, which took the convenience down a touch. But overall, the drivers were good and it seemed like a reliable-enough service that I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Airport transfer in Paris

It was so easy to book, much better than an Uber which I heard was unreliable in Paris. Our driver sent us info twice before the trip. He was at pick up right on time with a clean nice car. It was a hassle free ride for an early morning trip to the airport.

Didn't provide me what I paid for.

Ordered an executive class Mercedes ride...charged an executive class price...in the end Pegout Hybrid...which was classed as an executive ride according to the driver. Sure if your used to travelling on a donkey any 4 wheel vehicle will be an executive option.

More Than Just Transportation!

We arranged for transport from the airport to our Airbnb in the 1st Arrondissement, and we were so glad we did. The hour plus journey with our driver Afid was filled with his tips and suggestions for our time in Paris. He was so polite and helpful, sharing historical info as well as current developments. I would definitely recommend both the company and the driver!

Paris private airport transfer

We used Welcome pickups for a private airport transfer from CDG to Samois, a one hour1/2 ride. Everything went smoothly. The price was reasonable. The driver, Yacine Briedj, was waiting for us at CDG. He was very professional, pleasant and excellent driver. I would highly recommend him and the company.

DO NOT USE THIS FRAUDUELENT COMPANY

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY. Don't do it. As a solo female traveler, I wanted a more "reliable and secure" experience going from the airport to my hotel since I'd heard some things about taxis in Paris. Well, little did I know this company is way worse than that and reliable and secure are not something they know the meaning of. First of all, they make you select a flight from their drop down menu, so if their information is incorrect, what you submit will be incorrect. My flight information was incorrect in their system and so they sent me an email requesting I update it or else "my transfer might be cancelled". First of all, regardless if my flight info is wrong, if I book a transfer for pick up at a certain date and time, the driver SHOULD be there and wait their 30 minutes. That's what I PAID for. I "update" the information and this time the flight is correct in their system and they reply with an email confirming the update. Great, all is good then. Then after my 11 hour flight I check my email since there is no WiFi on my flight and I see a ton of emails from WelcomeTransfer and my driver saying the information is wrong and my transfer has been cancelled. I had also messaged the assigned driver and the "great, friendly, warm driver (they claim to have)" didn't even respond to my message, so that's how great they are. They are claiming I submitted incorrect information regarding my flight which again, was not incorrect and only offered an 80% refund even though THEY cancelled it based on their fraudulent terms. I've already told them to refund me the full amount since I provided everything correct and they are the ones who for some reason decided to cancel my transfer or I'll do a chargeback and they can deal with proving how what I provided was incorrect. Don't ever use this shady company. Also, my taxi experience from ORLY was great and way cheaper than this hack of a company, so just do that instead!

Horrible.

Provided the company with all of the details, photos, and information needed for our arrival. They changed drivers on us three times and were 45 minutes late to pick us up. Picking up a taxi at the airport would have been much quicker and cheaper this, and a better experience. Avoid this service at all costs.

Welcome Pickups: CDG to the 6th Arrondissement, Paris-August/September 2023

Excellent drivers. We used Welcome Pickups to and from the airport. Very easy to book and modify. We were greeted early at the airport with our name easy to spot. Both our drivers spoke English. Both presented themselves nicely. Both drove safely. Overall a very enjoyable and convenient experience. Will definitely use again in my travels around the world. Do wish though there was a way via the app to tip the driver. We found ourselves without as much local currency as we would’ve liked. So that would’ve been a nice option.

What a pleasant surprise to have my first experience with Welcome Pickups to be so successful! I had previously downloaded ‎WhatsApp, and Ilyas and I texted once my flight hit the ground. Ilyas collected me in the busy Arrivals area at CDG terminal 2E. He held high a sign with my name written quite large, and I was grateful to see him after my overnight flight from MSP. He carried my luggage as we walked to his car; it was spacious and clean. Most importantly, he drove slowly enough for me to look out the window, and recognize some landmarks. He used his turn signal perfectly (it’s been my experience that Parisians aren’t big @ using their turn signals much). We worked our way through a crowded Montmartre, and he walked me to the residence door. Because it was locked, Ilyas used his phone to call reception to get me in. I appreciated that since I had no phone service. I have every intention of calling Ilyas again anytime I need transportation around Paris. I will use Welcome Pickups again whenever I arrive at Charles de Gaulle.

Terrifying Trip

Terrifying experience. Driver was driving way too slow and other cars were honking their horns at us. Kept stopping on freeway and weaving into other lanes. Kept forgetting where our destination was and looked like he was going to pass out at the wheel. Must have been overworked or exhausted. Call an Uber or Taxi instead.

Simple to organise, easy and safe

Very happy to have booked this service & I highly recommend this for solo travellers for safety. They have a set price to and from the airport, so you know what’s being charged. You’re sent the drivers picture & vice versa, they had a sign with my name on it. Short walk to the car & taken directly to the hotel. After a bad experience on the train on a previous trip this was amazing and worth the price difference as a solo female traveller.

Buyer beware of refund policy and cost of service

Had a good experience with 2 rides - STRIKE 1 HOWEVER be aware that if you book and cancel - for whatever reason, you lose 20%. If you cancel in less than 24 hours - you lose 100% STRIKE 2 I booked and then asked the driver in chat if the vehicle was large enough for 2 people that were well over 6 feet 4 inches (larger people) + 2 other 'normal' adults. They said yes - and IT WAS NOT big enough. We squeezed in for a 30 minute ride which was not ideal. One person couldn't even buckle seat belt. Be aware that if you need space for larger people, you have to state you have 5 suitcases and then you get a mini van. Which is WAY more EXPENSIVE. STRIKE 3: found a London cab like private taxi (Caocao) that fits 4 of us (2 larger people with mobility issues) for less than half the price. Cars were nice and drivers good. Buyer beware

Excellent transfer service in Paris

Excellent service. A week before my transfer, I received an email with driver's name, photo and license plate/ car type. When this changed, I was notified immediately with new info. I was kept informed every step of the way. Day of, driver arrived early. I was notified of arrival and location. Car was spotless! Driver was very kind and extremely professional. This service was worth every penny for ensuring a stress free transfer for my travel home. Well done Welcome Pickups!!

Scam - do not use

I received multiple emails through booking.com suggesting to use this transfer service. I ultimately did and was in communication with the driver over WhatsApp which he contacted me over. Our train was 20 minutes delayed and I let him know over an hour before our original scheduled arrival time. When our train arrived he called us over WhatsApp and said that he couldn’t wait. At one point he told us he was at the train line waiting for us. Then told us Burger King. Then said he didn’t have time to wait for us. I ultimately secured an Uber for my 18 year old daughter and I, but my main reason for booking a private driver was for safety and to not be scrambling around the Paris train station as two female tourists. Beyond disappointed. The driver said he would bring a refund to me to our hotel. I have never heard such a thing. Still waiting to see if I get a refund or if this is a complete scam.

Easy and worth it!

We recently hired a driver for both to/from CDG to Le Marais. Both experiences were easy, pleasant and worth the price. I downloaded the app before our trip and it was super easy to see where our driver was and to communicate with them. Highly recommend!

Bailed on our family 1 hour out from Paris

We booked about a month in advance. We were assigned a driver, then they switched to another driver. Then on the way from London to the train station in Paris (about an hour out) they cancelled on us, leaving us scrambling to find an option with our 2 little kids in the one place I try not to be in too long in Paris (Gare de Nord). Totally unacceptable.

Rude interaction with Welcome Pickups assigned driver BEFORE return pickup results in a never-use-again ex-customer.

06/27/23 We booked a return trip through our initial pick up driver as we enjoyed his service and all the reviews were great. The afternoon prior to our return trip we reached out to the driver via text and asked the estimated arrival time for CDG. Approx four hours later the driver replied, via WhatsApp, in broken written english, to the effect 'we have been very busy. I have a business with four drivers on loan. Someone will be there.' I wrote back, via WhatsApp, that “I expect the person who’s name picture and car description was sent to me to be our pick up driver.” Asking for the assigned driver is the point of WP sending email with said info, is it not? So the customer knows who to expect? And for that we received this rude reply. The driver stating, to the effect, 'this is the first time anyone has ever requested specific assigned driver; he doesn't understand my request; people are always complementing him but I just care about photo of person or not the right car; how he's a professional and he's not our regular driver so do what you want.' At that point there was no way we wanted to interact with this driver or Welcome Pickup’s. We cancelled. Will never use WP again. Too bad as first driver was so kind. This is how one interaction can impact the perception of an entire business.

Expensive & difficult to corrospond with.

I booked this company on the recommendation of the hotel we were going to stay at in Paris. Worst thing I did! Our flights were delayed and found that I got no response from the driver or the company about been able to move the airport pick up time. I therefore had to cancel the booking to then find out that you lose your money if it's less than 24hours notice! Even thou I got zero response from the company. We ended up getting a taxi from the airport €35 euro standard set rate for all taxis. Welcome pick ups pre charged me 67 euros!! They have failed to reply to any correspondence to arrange a refund which I feel is fair considering they failed to reply to my message about the delays. Do not use it's not worth it. Much cheaper local transport with less hassle.

High quality transfer service in Paris

High quality transfer service for group of six. Driver was excellent with good communication skills, good personality and safe driving. The van was newer and in good and clean condition. Driver provided cold water on a hot day in Paris and commentary on what we were seeing on drive from airport. Price is higher, but well worth the comfort and convenience.

Do not use for airport pickup

Our flight was delayed, the app said they would monitor our flight and adjust the pickup time. We actually arrived to the Arrival Hall at 9:30 (which is where we were to meet our driver) and we were within the 1 hour wait time window of our original booking of 8:30. After looking for our driver for 15 minutes I called him. He said he left because our flight was late and he would pick us up at 10:30 (45 minutes from the time of my call). The driver never tried to call us, we are the ones who had to make the contact. The driver was quite short with me and rude when I told him waiting 45 minutes for him was not acceptable. The confirmation and app says the driver will monitor the flight and make adjustments but obviously this is not the case. Do not use this service for airport pickups. We did use them for a pickup at our hotel and the transfer went as planned.

Airport transfer

We came to Paris last year and did the Uber thing. It was a hassle and the Uber on our return trip was late. The hotel sent me the link to Welcome Pickup so I decided to give it a try. The pickup at the airport was seamless. We walked out the door at baggage claim and our driver was there. He was very polite and spoke good English. On the return to CDG, our driver was on time and agin very polite. I recommend these guys if you want to avoid the hassle; it’s a bit more than an Uber but it is worth it!
