Knowledgeable guide

Our guide crystal was very knowledgeable. We saw everything we wanted to see and much more. Nice to have a private tour guide to ask questions and get more information about the artwork.

Veronica was AMAZING! So knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining she really knows her art history and made it relatable to our small group ranging in ages 18-75. Small group tours are a great way to go!

Not to be missed

We had a wonderful tour. Our guide was fabulous and had a wealth of information to share. He really showed us the best highlights in the short amount of time we had. This tour needs to be rated a 10+

Worth every penny!

This was a great experience, especially if you only have one day/afternoon to try and see the best the museum has to offer! I am positive we would have missed the best without the help of our fantastic guide. I loved the Cupid and psyche tale the best! As I have spent hours in the louvre in past it was so wonderful to experience not only the exhibits, but learn a bit more of the history. Loved the explanations of even how time changes the paintings; exceptional tour!

Amazing experience

Our tour guide Mae was very knowledgeable in art and started the tour with the history of the Louvre itself, which we were fascinated to learn. One pair didn’t make the tour and the other pair kind of did their own thing, so we basically had a private tour with Mae. She got us right to the front of the line for entry and went into great detail in the sculpture area.

terrible experience, waste of money.

Terrible experience. We started half an hour late, ended twenty minutes early, the guide spoke too fast (even after I asked her to slow down), and she told us that Josephine Bonaparte was black (??!!). She was born in Martinique to white parents - that does not make her black!!!

Excellent Guide - Louvre

Patrick our guide was excellent and very kind. He knew his job very well. I had an issue with my leg, but he made sure that I got to use the elevator wherever available.

Easy entry

This was an excellent tour. We entered through a side entrance with no line. The tour takes you to the big three of the Louvre, and afterwards you can leave or explore more on your own.

Excellent tour with Miryam

Maryam was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable. Very friendly. She went out of her way to show us what we wanted to see. I would recommend her as a guide for anyone!

Highly recommended to experience the highlights of the Louvre

Needless to say, the Louvre is extensive - this small group tour was perfect for us. Mateo, our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, entertaining & accommodating to the needs of the group, which had a few elder folks. The tour covers some of the highlight attractions and the route is well planned, and Mateo's stories keep you engaged. The audio devices used for communicating are perfect if one wants to stay a little longer at a particular spot. Once the tour is completed, you have the freedom to roam the Louvre at will (at least until closing time). As an added note: The Meeting point for the tour is opposite Cafe Le Nemours Cafe, which is a great place to grab a quick drink & lunch - Great service, great food & courteous staff!

Excellent guide! Very knowledgeable, passionate and dynamic. Efficient tour to experience Louvre highlights and history.

Good but boring.

More enthusiasm and making it relevent for all ages instead of a history lesson. Monotone is difficult for young adults to listen to. At one point I asked the leader a question as to why the fingers of many paintings and statues had them in esoteric placment. She said Im not going to answer that. Did I offend her? So strange.

An unforgettable experience

It was very good expirience. I was with my sister and we had a problem with metro transport and were late for the tour scheduled at 3:00 pm! We arrived 15 minutes later but the guide received us with understanding and for that we are quite grateful! Everything was very good except that there were a lot of people in our group and it was written that it was for 6 people. But it didn't spoil our impression ...

Exceptional Tour & Guide

Mateo was our guide and he was absolute perfection!! My 88 yr young mother, who is only 4'7" walks a little slower most and Mateo made sure she was always included in every part. He even got her special access to walk in front of the Mona Lisa to view it, instead of from behind the rope with the crush of other people. He is very personable, adding a lot of his own humor & wit to the tour and very knowledgeable about all things in & around the Louvre. We highly recommend this tour, the small size is ideal and makes it possible to have great conversations with the Guide. If you can, request Mateo, you will not be disappointed!! He even gave us restaurant recommendations at our next sightseeing stop and it was delicious!! Exceptional service from start to finish.

Great way to get just a taste of the Louvre

Valerie was our guide. She was so energetic and excited about showing us the little bit of the Louvre that she could. She explained things so clearly I learned so much in just a short time. She also had a great sense of humor!

Best tour sm group

It was the best tour small group of 6 our guide was the best we didn’t wait in line used back door entrance she was soo informative we saw all the important things couldn’t imagine seeing the Louie without a tour guide ! I forgot my guides name she was the best !

The Only way to see the Louvre!

This was the only way to go! Our guide Ceceil was amazing and got us right thru the crowds with ease, hit all the highlights, and gave us very insightful and informative information about the Louvres history and collections. She even pointed us in the direction for other interests after the tour. Book this tour...You'll be so glad you did!

Louvre Tour excellent!

Guide was very knowledgeable with great communication. It was a quick tour. If you want to enjoy more time after the tour I suggest an early time as it takes a bit to get inside and fight the crowds.

Absolute highlights of the Louvre

The obvious highlights of the Louvre made accessible by our expert guide. At times it felt a little rushed but we did get to see the most important items before the really large crowds.

Our tour guide, Jerome, was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable about the art and the history of the site and the building. Best tour we booked. Totally worth doing. He made the experience so much more enriching and enjoyable.. Funny, personable and quick, I never felt rushed but he didn’t hang out in one spot too long. Perfect balance.

Great Guide

Jerome, our guide, is a quick-witted Frenchman, very knowledgeable in art, so he is well prepared to tell us about the marvels we are seeing and to answer every question that is thrown at him. We were able to see the Louvre's main treasures, with the description only an insider can give you. Had it not been for this tour, we would have missed half of what we saw.

Worth it. Book right away!

Anna, our tour guide was amazing. Followed the instructions and met her at the specified place on time. Soon as everyone arrived, we immediately started. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and even gave us enough time to take pictures and look around the highlights she took us. Highly recommend!

Louvre Experience

Jerome, our guide, was outstanding!! Very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming to questions and requests. Meeting place was easy to find, which sometimes can be difficult with other tours.

Had a very great experience with a very knowledgeable leader. Small group (6) the way to go. Tour lasted exactly 2 hours . Meeting place was well defined

The Louvre with a few thousand close friends.

The communication with viator was very clear and precise making the process very smooth. The tour company was 9on time and clearly marked and our guide was quite good. Overall a fine experience. The only negative was the crowds and I suspect that is never going to change except possibly for the worse. My suggestion would be to do this tour only on given day so that when the tour is over you are not exhausted and you are able to spend extra time enjoying all of the artwork. There were some rooms where I could have just sat on a bench and stared at the walls quite happily all day.

Amazing tour and great time, very informative and covered all the main points. Highly would recommend.

Needs Improvement.

The guide, Anna, had a very thick French accent and it was a bit hard to understand her English. In addition, the Louvre, although not as crowded as it normally is (we went at 3pm) was loud and it was nearly impossible to hear the guide speak. I like to take notes and photos of the pieces and I could not really take any notes since I could not hear/understand her well. It would be imperative to have an audio device in the future if I went again. I am really wishing I just bought the self guided tour and saved a bunch of money. The group size was nice (6) and she did try hard to be heard but, there is only so much a voice alone can do with alot of background noise. If I went again I would insist on an audio device being used or I would not waste my time or money.

Louver tour

Wonderful, friendly guide. Made sure we saw the high points of the museum. Guide was most knowledgeable about the paintings, sculpture and jewels.

Alban was great

This was one of the best tours i have been on in europe, all thanks to our tour guide ALBAN. He seriously brought the amazing art works of the louvre to life and seemed to really love what he did. Thanks again Alban!

Wonderful tour, wonderful guide

Our guide, Anna, really helped us understand the rich history behind the Louvre, and directed us in ways that we wouldn’t have picked up by simply following the museum map. There was so much to see that I don’t think we would have known where to start without her!

The best tour of our trip

Our guide got us through the line and through security so quickly we were able to see the Mona Lisa without anyone in front of us. We were able to navigate through a nearly empty museum for the first hour of our tour. She was wonderful, stopping to explain certain areas and gave us time to enjoy what we were seeing. She was so amazing and we saw so much that I honestly feel like the price for a semi private tour was a bargain. Go for the 9a tour, it's spectacular!

Personal guide is a Must

Taken to “off the map” pieces and given in depth explanations of all items. Explained why Mona Lisa is most popular piece but shown DaVinci’s most important work. Largest painting in museum, and important, in the same room but no one turns around to look at it. Could get up close to items being shown unlike in a massive group tour. Guided was speaking to You not a voice in a headpiece. Could ask questions and deviate as desired.

First time at the Louvre

The Louvre was amazing, and a bit overwhelming. Our tour guide did a fantastic job getting us to the most popular exhibits before the crowds got too big, she was extremely knowledgeable of all the exhibits, and was a pleasure to be with.

Alban was the best tour guide ever!!!!! We would definitely recommend him for anyone going for a tour. He was very knowledgeable and funny. He made the whole experience educational and entertaining. We were sad when the tour came to an end.

Wonderful tour with a guide that made it memorable

The guide’s knowledge that she shared when explaining the story of the art. She described the significance of lighting, how things and people were placed in the picture and political ramifications of some of the art pieces.

Most Efficient Way to see the Louvre

Excellent guide and we saw so much in two hours. Highly recommend this tour and includes entrance ticket.

Kept it interesting.

The guide knew his stuff. From the earliest works to the newest, he had the commentary which kept you interested. Would absolutely recommend having a guide not only for their insight but to get you into the museum quickly and give you suggestions for what to do in the museum after the tour.

Great Tour of the Louvre Museum

Anna was great, her expertise on the Museum was amazing she explain everything she show us in great detail the history of the museum. we were very happy looking forward to go back. there so much to see.

Great way to see the highlights!!

I loved this tour, it was a great way to see the highlights of the Louvre in an efficient way. Our guide was so friendly, and she had so much knowledge about the art pieces she showed us. She showed us the most famous pieces, and at the end we had the ability to wander around on our own. I highly recommend the later time slot (we did 6pm) - there are less crowds!!

Much too fast

Tour is entirely too fast. It’s huge, it would be unreasonable to get everything in within two hours. But the pace in a packed museum, this tour should take 3 hours at a minimum. It is also hard to hear with over the ear headphones. Albonn was fantastic, he is exceptionally knowledgeable about everything we saw. I would recommend him.
