Paris Louvre Museum Entry Ticket for Self Guided Tour

I know this was “self guided” but I thought there would be an audio tour. There was nothing. Thankfully we had a Rick Steves audio tour. This was only a tour company buying a time slot in order to resell to tourists.

Epic experience after difficulty getting tickets

There was some confusion about getting the tickets. I could not open or download them, nor did the telephone number that came in Whatsapp work, so I requested that Viator email the tickets to me also commenting that if i did not receive viable tickets Paypal legal would be involved! Upon carefully reading the emailed tickets, I saw the page must be printed in A4 format (full page). The actual experience of visiting the Louvre was epic.

The Louvre museum was a fantastic visit. We were able to enter the museum at our scheduled time with no issues.

Nightmare

Never received the tickets for a pdf voucher that was unusable and there was no way to contact a representative.

Scam

Viator never emailed me my tickets before hand and were impossible to contact in time for the tour. The tour operators could not help us as they needed the actual tickets. Basically this service is a scam. We spent a lot of money only to have no tickets and then had to purchase a second set of tickets on-site which was actually easier in the end!

So. Much. Stuff.

So. Much. Art. Please take at one day, if not 5, going through this museum. There is not enough time to see everything in half a day, and you definitely can’t absorb it.

The ‘art zoo’ for tourists with the ‘mona Lisa panda’ as main attraction

With obstacles. After the booking confirmation, the tickets didn’t arrive neither by mail nor could I find them from the Viator app. We needed to go back from the Louvre to the hotel (with free nctioning WiFi) to get help by phone on the Viator helpline. The woman on the phone could fortunately help to forward the tickets by mail with a link. It’s advisable to make a screenshot of the QR code needed to enter via the Richelieu entrance. The Louvre was very crowded as expected. Not the atmosphere for someone who wants to concentrate on specific paintings to enjoy and study quietly.

Not suggested tour operator - tickets arrived only at the time of the visit after many calls

The ticket was not sent as indicated by the tour operator through Viator 24 hours in advance. When I requested the reason the day before with many messages to the tour operator and to VIator, no one from the tour operator answered. The day of the visit, we changed our program with the idea we would never receive the ticket and we asked for a remboursement. However, we moved anyway to the center of Paris (up to the last moment we was doubting to visit Versailles). The ticket arrived on the app just at the time of the visit, and fortunately we was not far from the museum, where we arrived 1 hour later than the time of the visit but we was allowed to enter. I do not suggest this tour operator.

Viator canceled my 11am ticket at 11:15am. Would not recommend this app. It’s a scam and I ended up buying tickets for half the price at the louvre

Viator tickets were overpriced and despite touting a price match guarantee, Viator ignored my emails after I gave them the documentation they asked for.

Very let down.

Our tickets didn't arrive via email as required. The third party provider was difficult to contact. They said they had experienced technical difficulties which was why our tickets didn't arrive however they did not contact us to let us know. By the time we got it sorted out we had missed our early time slot and were amongst the hordes going to the Lourve so the experience was not great and delayed our whole day. I would not recommend this experience. In addition it is not a skip the line as indicated.

Sunday at the Lourve

The Lourve was extraordinary! Amazing artwork from all over the world— breathtaking pieces from Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Truly a feast for the eyes and the soul… well worth the labyrinth of sections. More could be done to improve existing exits— it was quite confusing just trying to get out of the building.

Great experience for my family. Worth to wait definitely. We couldn't rest even a second, so amazing.

Trustable ticket provider

I felt a bit afraid of using the third party app at first. However, the tickets were promptly provided 24 hours before the entry. The response from the contact was quick on the app. We enjoyed the Louvre museum. Thank you so much.

Waiting way too long to get in!

Entry was not a great experience. We had 3:30 tickets, but we didn't get inside till after 4:30. The fact it was pouring rain didn't help the experience. They ushered us out to close around 5:45. We didn't get to see all that we wanted. What we did get to see was spectacular.

Good experience for Louvre

It was really good though it did say no standing in queues but had to wait a long time. But overall experience was good. Will recommend this tour.

Didn’t receive tickets

I never received my tickets for the 2:30 spot and I was over charged for the tickets. I had to re purchase tickets at the gate for another 44€

In the morning queue is not so big.

Buy the tickets in advance with a time slot. Be there 30 minutes before the ticket time. The queue goes fast. In the morning queues are not so long. We went straight to the Monalisa’s room and then walked the rest.

Easy entrance - avoided the lines and had special entrance. - avoided standing in the rain. Easy to purchase online

Really enjoyed this morning out , worth the visit for the cost really good value for money , we didn’t even get to the top floor as we had other things planned so allow at least 4 hours I d say to get around . A lot of walking involved!

Visit to The Louvre museum

Good experience but a little expensive as the venue is huge and it's not possible to read up and visit all the halls. Left a little overwhelmed and frustrated at not knowing all routes when some halls are blocked off.

Good experience in viewing art and history

Lot of art collections and information to cover. Huge museum. Big line for toilets near the entrance, people can avoid it by using the toilets at each floor/wing during the museum tour.

This museum is AWESOME🤩 The skeep The line experience was extremely helpful.. Tip. If you go late.. go straight to the ticket counter or ask the personnel all around to get you in from a different entrance 😏

Refund request

I would like to write and request a refund as my ticket was never sent to me so I couldn't download it while in Paris. Please can you share an email address where to send my refund request.

It’s not that bad

I got x2 Louvre tickets by mistake and I contacted their customer service that promptly replied to me I explained the situation and they not only cancelled my booking but also process the refund in less than 24hours. Super helpful!

Christmas in Paris

Amazing, could've done with at least a full day. Our ticket was booked for 10.30am. When we got to the queue for pre booked tickets they were letting people in with tickets from 9.30-10.30, so we got in earlier, around 9.40.

Amazing experience

I love how it’s easy to book through Expedia. Also that the electronic ticket Came on time though I booked the last minute for my tour of Louvres. Definitely will use it for future booking again.

SCAM! They send invalid tickets!

WE DONT RECOMMEND!!!! Very disappointing! We purchased tickets to the Louve in Paris for 1pm. We did not receive tickets until after 1pm, and only after I asked multiple times and sent several emails. DO NOT buy from these guys! They don’t send “valid tickets!” We received tickets that said “not valid” and were not allowed in with what they send you. RUN AWAY!!!

We had a great experience. The tickets were emailed to me immediately and they worked perfectly at the entrance.

Great trip to the Louvre

Showed up at the appropriate time with no issue. Don’t be more than 30 minutes past your appointment time. Some people were and they were not allowed in.

Terror alert 😔

Got evacuated as terror threat Handled well. Got to see the gendarmerie. Guns. Funny berets. Also Trip Advisor refund good.

Ticket Scam

Purchased tickets online … paid extra to skip the line. Got to the louvre it was a chaotic scene. I was told to join the long line. My time was for 1 pm. I quickly found out the 10 am ticket holders were still in line. I left very disappointed- what a scam!!!!

The louve !

We toured on our own and it was easy to navigate our way. We loved it. You can truly spend a whole day there and more.

Never got my ticket :-(

ZERO STARS! Nobody ever showed up with my ticket. I tried to call. I asked around. Nothing. They didn't put a meeting place or even put the right phone number on the voucher. Paristick sucks -- so if that's your 3rd party, good luck!!

Not great

Booking on line was very easy but unfortunately the agent in paris did not send my entrance ticket through so after a long call to your London office a very helpful assistant managed to get hold of Fodor tours and email it too me, I found the experience both time wasting and stressful as it was extremely busy at the Louve at the time

Wonderful experience, so much culture. Easy to navigate, The Mona Lisa was easy to see, you'll enjoy yourself.

Disappointed

Our tickets didn’t work, there was no barcode on it, and they wouldn’t let us in. I tried to cancel and couldn’t. I tried to call and they didn’t answer

It was so easy to make the reservation and book online, especially suit for those without planning and first time to France.

Lourve Museum collection living up to its reputation!

Disappointed. Regret getting this ticket. Lost money on it. Suggestion for improvement: send e ticket to text as soon as you pay in full for the ticket. In front of Lourve Museum hundred of crowds of people from all over the world so internet was over whelmed. Some like me could not open e ticket for internet troubles at that site app and they just walked away. Staff at entrance of museum did not believed me that I paid for the ticket, even after I showed them receipt. I could not just walk away I paid for this and this museum was on my bucket list for 15 years. I was forced to stay in long line and buy another ticket. It was not my problem their network was down and I could not open e ticket there. No apology, nothing from viator. Shameful. This is not how you treat customers or run business. On the other hand once I did see the museum collection inside it was amazing!!! As seasoned traveler it was the nicest and biggest collection in one place that I have ever seen. My favorite place was the diamond, gem stone jewelry collection of the royals. Beautiful!!!

A real look.

Seeing the Mona Lisa in person and experiencing other exhibits. Seeing everything that I have watched for years on movies etc was fantastic to finally catch a real glimpse of those in real time.

Beautiful Paris

Standing in front of the Louvre in awe. To realise I was actually in Paris experiencing this amazing building & of course the famous pyramid. I'm sure I took a dozen photos of the pyramid alone.
