A Perfect Host

April took us for several days on our recent stay in Paris. It couldn’t have gone any better, she is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining. We saw Versailles, Montmartre. St. Germain, and the half day highlights tour, and she arranged visits to the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay and the Picasso Museum. We even had rides to and from the airport set up. Any anxiety over traveling to Europe is gone because we had such a lovely host….can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic!

LOVE HER!!! We spent 3 days with April in a row. Her Half-Day Historic Walking Tour, Full Day Champagne Tour and Full Day Versailles tour. She was so knowledgeable, kind and fun! She made us feel at home even though we were thousand miles away. She made our day in Versailles super fun and let us fulfill our dream of having the picnic despite being in downpour of rain! We can't recommend her enough. If we had more time in Paris, we'd book all of her tours!

Best Private Half Day Tour!

Merci Beaucoup! During our trip to Paris we arranged a Belleville walking tour with April Pett from the "April in Paris Tour" company. We met April outside our apartment at 9.30am. April arrived on time with an enthusiastic welcome, a warm handshake and a huge beautiful smile. She introduced herself and explained the plan for the day ahead. We walked and talked on the way up to the area of Belleville and April filled us in on the fascinating history of Paris with lots of fun and quirky facts and figures about the city. April encouraged us to ask any questions along the way and the conversation between the 3 of us flowed so naturally. April's story-telling skills are fabulous and she kept us genuinely interested during the 3 hour tour. As we walked towards the busy market of Belleville she made a deliberate stop to capture our full attention. She explained that she wanted to make sure that we were aware of the pick pocketers in the area (they are the world over of course). She was extremely safety conscious about the traffic when crossing the hectic roads and pointing out things to avoid, like dog poo on the pavement. April's whole demeanour was charming and warm. Her personality was charismatic, vibrant, friendly and effervescent. By the end of our tour we felt like we had known her for a long time. Her depth of information was so incredible and she told stories that were exciting and very witty. April shared strawberries she had bought from the market with us and treated us to a little pastry from a local Turkish bakery. When we mentioned that we were looking to find some good quality feta she took us to an Egyptian spice shop that sold the finest feta we've ever tasted. At the end of our time April took us to a fabulous restaurant overlooking the city. The food was amazing. We said our goodbyes and she said she would send us details of other restaurants, bars and things to do that we fancied trying out. A couple of hours later lots of information came through on an email from April. April, thank you for your energy and passion. You are such a positive inspiration. Keep doing what you're doing!

Amazing + Awesome = April

As an American family of four with two teens experiencing Paris for the first time, April was a godsend. We met April for a half day tour on the day we landed in Paris. Her energy was infective and really kept the four of us pumped up and going. Her knowledge of the city was exactly what we needed: she told us about how best to interact with Parisians (hint: make an effort to speak French and start each interaction with Bonjour), how the city was laid out, and how best to get around. She showered us with her tips about restaurants, dessert, cafes, and so much local knowledge about all of the touristy things. She took us to the best Macaron shop in Monmartre, gave us great cafe recommendations in Le Marais, and shared her "Best in Paris" Macaron spots. We went to where she suggested, and ALL of them were amazing. She REALLY knows what she is talking about. April knew all the best photo spots during our tour and was not the least bit bashful about helping to take awesome pix. If you are thinking about Paris, book a half day with April on your first day and the rest of your time in the City Of Lights will be most excellent!

Stress free visit to Paris

My wife and I did 3 days of tours with April recently. You really should not try to visit Paris without a local guide like April. She can get you around to see so much, even more than you expect. It was great to eat and experience Paris with a local. She also helped with dinner reservations. Do not try to tackle Paris on your own, it will be very stressful. Book your tour today with April, you will be happy and stress free.

This was by far one of the best days I have had in Europe!! APRIl was so so amazing. She took us everywhere each one of my family members wanted to go to and I couldn't of asked for a better experience.

I cannot say enough about April! When my friend suggested April and told me she was so much more like a friend than a tour guide, she could not have been more truthful. From the moment we met her, my family and I felt like we had known her for years! We spent a FULL day exploring Paris and April was full of fun, interesting facts at every corner. When we told April all the places we wanted to see, she executed it perfectly and was able to pivot at a moments notice when we saw something interesting to us, ready with amazing information at a seconds notice. April showed me the real Paris experience!

After reading many reviews about April and her “best friend” attitude towards her clients, I decided to hire her to also be my friend for the day. I wanted an authentic Parisian experience so April suggested a Sunday morning. We started with a walk through a local farmers market, where we tasted an array of fresh fruits and a croissant (bien sur!!!), we walked through the fantastic marais neighbourhood too where we had brunch. We ended the day at Rivoli59 where we chatted with her artist friend and learned all about his artistic inspirations and enjoyed watching him create his next painting! It really felt like April and I were best friends by the end of the day and I cannot wait to see her again for more Parisian adventures.

Christmas Lights are magical!

We had the most wonderful evening with April walking the city to see the lights and festivities! It’s cold once the sun sets but that’s when the magic happens. Do not miss Christmas time in Paris!

April and her team are amazing! I cannot say enough about our experience with her! She worked closely with us for months ahead of our vacation tailoring and planning the best experience for our family. We did 4 private tours and please please do not deprive yourself of any of these! The half day welcome our upon arrival was wonderful, and April made my Amelie dreams come true ❤️! Each night we received personalized emails and messages about our tours and recommendations. We also did the Louvre, the D’Orsay and a full day at Versailles (unbelievable). A quick stopover in Paris

Me and some friends booked April for a quick 1 day stopover in Paris and we ended up covering over 20km by foot and bike! April showed us the ins and outs of City of Love and we all left happy. Most amazing holiday!!!!

My wife and I recently had taken a holiday to Paris and Portugal.We contacted April and she had booked a day trip to Champagne.It was one of the most amazing tours,and we have been on a few.ww spent the Dai Rein Champagne and visited the Pommery,which is one of the largest vineyards. We also went on a half day tour of Emily in Paris Square..The rest of the day shopping at the markets and a picnic at the Eiffel Tower.April knew many of the vendors and was truly loved by them all.She is a amazing,knowledgeable, upbeat guide with a wonderful personality. We did 2 tours with April, and she was fantastic! We did a full day at Versailles including shopping at the market and a picnic on the grounds. Hidden Secrets in Belleville

What a most wonderful lunch at the Creperie in Belleville and then a walk around this most adorable and art filled arrondissement. On a clear day the view from the park would be absolutely incredible and I’ll have to go back on my own. April knows how to make me feel like a local and I’ll be back in November!

8 days in Paris

We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary in Paris. We had never been before so the city and its surroundings were all new to us. We were a little intimidating because of the unknown. We meet April on our first full day at our hotel and she was absolutely charming and well organized. She treated us like family. She went out of her way to make our trip to Versailles, and a personal trip to Chanel a day(s) to remember. We can't say enough good things about April. We would highly recommend her. She is funny, full of French history, and speaks perfect English and French. She even taught us a little French. Great tour of Paris highlights.

We (my wife, son, and I) only had a few days in Paris, so we wanted to see a lot of highlights in a short time. April picked us up in a van shortly after we arrived, and we had a wonderful tour of the city highlights in several hours. We were able to see the Eiffel Tower, the L'Arc de Triomp, Notre Dame and more. April also took us to markets for cheese shopping, and we finished in Montmartre, just in time for dinner. April was very knowledgeable, and was able to tailor the tour to what we were looking for. We got plenty of pictures, and knew enough when we were done to decide what to revisit. I'm very glad we were able to arrange the tour we did with April and would definitely reach out to her again if we ever go back.

5 Star Tour by April

We did the Emily in Paris Tour which was amazing! April took us to some Emily sites as well as some local wall art locations along the way. She also had so much interesting information about places we had told her we had already been. In addition she knows and recommended some great food places and she was spot on! I gained a friend with April and I can’t wait to see her again and go on another tour with her!

Mastering the Off the Beaten Paths with joy.

I have been lucky enough to engage in three April in Paris tours over the years. All were excellent and this was no exception. We did Off the Beaten Path and was thrilled to get a comprehensive history of Place Republique and Canal St.Martin as well as architectural highlights and stop for some delicious treats (oysters, champagne and delectable dessert) on Rue Montorguiel. A day well spent and highly recommended!

Father Daughter trip to Paris

April was a wonderful host for my families trip to Paris. We had two tours with April that we thoroughly enjoyed. April was a wealth of information but most importantly her sunny enthusiasm and positive energy were much appreciated anecdotes to our jet lag and travel fatigue. My two teenage daughters found her equally charming and we can’t recommend April enough to others who are looking for a introduction to the city!

We had an absolutely amazing time. Full of laughs, secret routes, plenty of interesting stories, and a spontaneous stop for oysters and iced champagne! Highly highly recommended. We can't wait to join April again.

Delightful and interesting tour

We enjoyed our third tour with April. April helped us to see the many levels of history that makes Paris so interesting. We would have missed so much on our own. She told us to look up and pay attention to details that tell a story. She took us to the Montorgueil for eclairs at Stohrer. We walked through the Marais district where we had lunch. April is energetic, professional, and personable. We highly recommend her for making Paris come alive.

The perfect way to start your Paris adventure!

This was my first trip to Paris, and I was a bit intimidated—I didn’t want to miss the things that would be most meaningful to me. I booked April in Paris as my first activity when I got here, and I’m so glad I did! (To be candid, I picked her based on name alone…) I saw things I never would have otherwise, and came to understand why things are as they are. I even learned why so many things are painted a specific shade of green! April tailored the tour to me, and we stopped at the best and oldest patisseries for a quick pastry, had a glass of Loire Valley Chablis, and “flanered” all over the city—except she knew exactly where we were going! I wouldn’t have changed anything about that day, except to extend it. April is bright and cheery, and a joy to be with. And she knows everybody!! Last, April followed up with an email filled with recommendations based on our conversation throughout the day. She even connected me to another business owner who found a Loire Valley tour with just a day’s notice!

A fantastic way to tour beautiful Paris!

I really enjoyed touring the "City of Light" with April, especially at Christmastime! She was enthusiastic, fun and very informative, giving us tips and great historical stories of this wonderful city. We got to see department store holiday windows, Christmas markets where we tried celebrated seasonal foods, as well as, big sites like Hotel De Ville, Place de la Repubique and Palas Garnier the beautiful opera house . The tour included a boat ride along the Seine that caught the stunning Eiffel Tower twinkling in the night sky. I would definitely do another one of her many tours that are available, next time I'm visiting Paris. Thank you so much April!

Insightful Tour of Paris

The private walking tour offered by April was fantastic! My husband and I visited Paris in December 2022. On the day of the tour, it was one of the coldest day in Paris this winter and April showed up on time, cater to our needs to get warm up at times and very flexible. April provided great insight into the history of each landmark we visited and gave us a really good background of the city. She also sent us recommendations for restaurants and other areas to visit in the future. Overall, it was a great experience and will definitely book her tour again when we are back in France next time.

The delight of discovering new places in the city that I love.

I went with 2 friends on the "Off the beaten track tour" and the surprise was that the 3 of us who live in Paris (full & part-time) were introduced to something new and wonderful. I discovered architectural treasures and new boutiques in the historic covered passages from the 19th century and ended up having an incredible lunch at a historic place I had never been before. April was the perfect guide and tailored our tour exactly to our tastes. I highly recommend this experience!

Book this tour! A perfect Paris day!

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful winter holiday in Paris, and April’s half day “off the beaten path” tour was the best decision we made on the trip! Her incredible insight, energy, humor and personal and professional stories from her many years living in Paris kept us engaged and excited to learn more as we walked multiple Arr’s, seeing big sites like Notre Dame and Place de la République as well as neighborhood cafe sprinkled streets with adorable shops and Christmas decorations. This tour is perfect for first time and repeat visitors- it was my third trip to Paris and my husband’s first, and we both felt it was the highlight of our trip. Outside of the tour itself (which included a fabulous hot chocolate stop!) April took the time to give us recommendations for the remainder of our stay, both activities and for meals! We ate at multiple April-recommended restaurants and they were the best meals of the trip. She also showed us how to use the subway confidently at the beginning of the tour, which we would have chosen to avoid and alternatively use taxis instead, and I’m so glad she did! We ended up using it many times on the trip thanks to her. Don’t hesitate, you will be so pleased with April’s Paris tours!

Fabulous first trip to Paris

I took my family to what would be our first visit to Paris and we hired April to take us on a tour of Paris lights, the experience was memorable and magical !! April met us at our hotel which was very much appreciated as we are directionally challenged. She was also very flexible and accommodating Which was also appreciated . She had a lot of interesting history to share with us. The experience of seeing lights in Paris would just not have been the same happy then it on our own. SHe pointed out the notable landmarks and some hidden gems. We stopped by at the Christmas markets and overwhelmed with what to try ! She gave us great recommendations and I had the best cheese of my life She was absolutely lovely with my six-year-old and gave her so much focus and attention. We have been back for weeks and my child can’t stop talking about her experience. April is also just a really pleasant person to be around and at the end of our tour I felt like we were friends !!

Best tour of Paris EVER!

April was so fantastic and showed us SO many amazing sites of Paris. She is so full of knowledge about this City and we learned so much. Plus she is a sweet lady and we so enjoyed out time with her. Highly recommend any tours she offers. You won't be disappointed!

A Tour Guide Beyond Compare

We actually did 3 half day tours with April, each of which was superb. April is a super-friendly, energetic and extremely knowledgeable tour guide. She made our Paris experience beyond delightful. We did a half day tour of the Paris highlights, a half day tour of Montmartre, and a half day tour of Off the Beaten Track places. April knows Paris like the back of her hand, and goes out of her way to make one's experience loads of fun and educational. We cannot recommend her more highly.

very accommodating

Twice booked a tour with April. Few years back my mother and niece were going to visit Paris for their first time and I wanted them to get everything out of the experience they could without wasting time. Unbeknownst to them, I booked them with a tour with April, which was very easy. They loved it! April catered them to both of their love of art and food. I also wanted them to feel safe without me being there and give myself some comfort in knowing they were being looked after. It was accomplished. So now a few years later my new neighbors said they were going to Paris to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. April was my immediate contact. Again I setup an easy booking and told her the likes of my neighbors. She laid out an itinerary for them that they really loved. In fact the paid tour company that my neighbors were on, I said forget that and go with April. You will get way more out of a personal experience with her and not stuck with a large group corporation event. They agreed and had a wonderful time. If you ever have family or friends going to Paris for their first time, think about booking a tour with April as a gift to them. You will have no worries about them being there and they will get the most out of the experience. If only they could have brought back some of them cookies.

If you've never done a walking tour of a new city you're visiting, it's the very best way to get the inside scoop. April is the best! My wife and I had such a great time flânering the monuments and small streets of Paris. She had a wealth of information about culture and history and kept us engaged and fed (coffee and macaroons). She's also very flexible and can build your experience so that it's exactly what you want. Highly, highly recommended!

Montmartre for the win!

While I hate being part of the crowd, if the crowd is giving April 5 stars then...I guess I have to join! We did our third tour with April during a recent trip to Paris with my in-laws. This time the target was Montmartre and it was, as always, a fabulous experience. We began the day near where we stayed and took the metro to Pigalle where we emerged into a different side of Paris than we had experienced before. Had a great conversation while walking around and working our way slowly up to the top of the neighborhood. We had some mobility issues in our party and April accommodated beautifully for them. We enjoyed spending time in the artists' square and it's always fun to see April greet so many people that clearly adore her as much as we do. It's that connection with Paris and its people that really sets April's tours apart in my mind. We finished our walk up to Sacre Coeur and visited the church and the amazing views before descending back into the neighborhood for a wonderful lunch at Cafe de Luce that April recommended (try the savory croissants ... you will NOT be disappointed). Not sure what else to say ... a tour with April is like a wonderful day with a friend who happens to be an insider.

Half day of perfection!

It was Bastille Day so my wife and I did a "Off the beaten path" tour with April. Super friendly, engaging, and informative. I've been going to Paris 20+ years and because of her have discovered a wonderful cafe and a fantastic wine tasting shop/cellar. I'm looking forward to using her again for a tour when I'm in town again even on business. We used some other tour operators during our vacation and none of them came close to the our experience with April. Highly recommended!
