Paris: Charming Nooks and Crannies Bike Tour

A great way to see the city!

The Nooks and Crannies bike tour was amazing. Our guide Romeo was knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. He was flexible and accommodating. We saw parts of the city I’ve not seen before and wouldn’t have discovered elsewhere. A must do!

Just book it! Our favourite activity in Paris.

This was an awesome tour, and one of our favourite experiences in Paris. Paul was a very personable guide, always with a smile on his face. He obviously knew his history, answering any questions we had in a clear and concise way. I also appreciated that he actively checked we were safe on the bikes and gave obvious hand signals which made the ride all the more enjoyable. I liked that this tour didn’t focus on the main tourist attractions, but gave a better understanding for French life and lesser known areas, but he still shared stories about the Notre Dame and Eiffel Tower. Just book it, it’s a great experience! Thanks again, Paul!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Romeo! He was a delightful and knowledgeable guide. I have 2 teens and this was their favorite Parisian memory, seeing the sights and learning about history and culture!

Enjoying Paris by bike

The guide Igor was very informative and full of historical facts about Paris. The bikes are easy to ride. The guides take care at busy intersections. We went to historical areas that we had missed walking on the same streets. Overall we would recommend this tour. It is an easy bike ride with plenty of stops, not too taxing.

A must do for a great morning exploring by bike

Our guide - I think his name was Paul - was the best. Friendly and knowledgeable who made sure our little group was safe and enjoying the tour. The coffee stop by the Seine was a welcome respite from a little rain. The meeting point was easy to find with perfect directions. We would highly recommended this great way to experience the out of the way sights.

Frederic with Simply France tours was an amazing guide

Frederic Thuillier was our guide and he was fantastic - so knowledgable. We did a second bike tour with a different company the next day Frederic's tour was so so much better. If we go back we would try and only pick tours from Simply France Tours since our guide was so good this time.

I would do it again

a nice female tour guide. Friendly fellow tourist from USA joined the tour. Good bikes. I would love it to be more cycling. It was usually short rides, before stops. But it was a great experience, and i would do it again. It was quite expensive, so we were not able to give the guide a gratitude. So i hope - she gets a decent salary based on the price. I would reccomend this tour.

Book this tour to feel like a Parisian biking through the neighborhoods and along the river

This bike tour was a highlight of our stay in Paris. I loved riding through the small neighborhood streets. We stopped at a beautiful park. We saw the old city wall of Paris and a few medieval buildings that are still there. We also rode the bike path along the Seine and stopped at a little coffee stand to sip an espresso and watch the runners and bikers go by. Our guide Paul was very informative and friendly. I feel like we really got to know the city on this tour and saw so many things we would not have discovered on our own. So much fun!

Great Way to start a Paris Stay.

This tour allows people to parts of Paris rather quickly. The tour goes into 4 districts in Paris and our guide, Christian was knowledgeable about each place. The pace of the bike ride is leisurely and the guide was careful to make sure everyone in the group was safe. Paris has so much going on, but this tour elicits some curiosity about the city. A surprise on the Tour was a column of mounted police horsemen and women parading in uniform for the President of China’s visit.

Highly recommend

Lots of fun much more interesting than standard tourist spots. Great restaurant recommendations as well.

Do it!

Great tour, only 4 people total and our guide Clemen (spelling?) who was awesome! He is so knowledgeable about so much history and took us to lesser known spots in Paris! Bikes were nice and route was flat and easy and our guide did a great job signaling us for turns or intersection crossings. Loved it and would recommend! We are 2 Americans and went on May 3, 2024.

Great tour

Fred was a great guide.. he even tied in some of the tour to Guernsey for us. The bikes were comfortable and we really enjoyed the tour.. 3 hours passed very quickly and we feel like we have seen a lot of Paris that we normally would not have seen. Thank you!!

Great way to know different neighborhoods and enjoy a day in Paris

Really loved this bike tour. It was great getting to know different places within the city. Our tour guide was very knowlogeable and with a lot of local information.

We had the opportunity to check out our bikes, to make certain they were suitable for us. We were told so many background stories and the history on the sites that we saw, e.g., Place des Vosges. Our guide, Clement, was open to all questions + prepared to give more details if we were interested. He had a chronology on the history of France, complete with diagram. So thorough + so professional + so safety-conscious! Loved it!

Wonderful tour, highly recommend

Our guide was great! My 18 year old daughter loved the tour. We saw so many cool places we wouldn’t have found on our own. So fun! Highly recommend!

This tour was truly wonderful and so worth it! The team is very knowledgeable and it’s very well organized. The e-bikes are great. Tip: there is a photographer who captures the adventure.

Great way to experience Paris!

I’m 77 years old and was nervous about riding a bike in the streets of Paris. Our guide Matt was very encouraging and took great care of me. We rode about 9 miles in all, mostly flat through narrow old streets, stopping regularly for Matt to tell us about what we were seeing. It was great! I highly recommend this tour.

Great tour

We ended up be the only party for this tour so it was an unofficial private tour! Super nice and informative. Really enjoyed it and would recommend!

Fun, safe and informative

This was the highlight of our three day visit to Paris. Frederique was an amazing guide. Clearly passionate and enthusiastic about the rich history of the city. It was great to see both the major attractions and the side streets. I highly recommend bike tours as a way to see a major city and this tour was particularly enjoyable. Our group was three middle aged women and the biking was easy and fun.

Quirky, Fun and Education Tour

Going on an early morning bike ride in Paris was a great way to see a lot of the sites in a fun and different way. My favourite bit was getting to see the not-so-known parts of Le Marais and riding down the Seine. It's a great tour for people who enjoy sightseeing away from the tourist areas, and learning local history too. My friends and I highly recommend this tour!

Excellent and wear your helmet

Frédérique, our guide was wonderful and engaging and quite informative. We learned a lot about the history of Paris and France in a short period of time. The biking is through traffic, and not necessarily for the faint of heart if you have not biked in cities, just fyi! But we loved it!

Great way to learn about Paris

The bicycle Tour was absolutely an eye opener to other less known but very interesting parts of Paris. Tara was a great guide and as a native Parisian herself, knew a lot about the history and culture of this amazing city. Would definitely recommend this experience.

I really enjoyed the tour. We stopped for a coffee on the Seine which was lovely and our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Best Bike Ride through Paris!!!

This tour was one of the main highlights of our mini Parisian getaway! We had so much fun...our tour guide, Clemont, was awesome! He was very knowledgeable, made sure we stayed safe riding through the crazy streets of Paris...driving in taxis and Ubers can be terrifying...with the crazy traffic and drivers, but felt very safe bike riding with this tour...making many stops here and there learning about all the charming nooks and crannies of Paris! He showed us where Pablo Picasso once lived, took us to have delicious French Macaroons...Jim Morrisons fav bar...the oldest running restaurant in the world and MORE!!! I would definitely recommended this tour! It was so much fun!!!

This tour was excellent and the guide formidable!

This tour of the back streets of Paris and the accompanying commentary was awesome. Our guide ‘Fred’ was formidable, making the history of the old town come alive! If booking this tour you must ask for ‘Fred’ if you want authentic local knowledge from history through to museum and dining recommendations!!!

The title of the tour is a good representation of the tour. You get to see interesting places off the main Paris agenda. A bonus is learning to navigate Paris traffic like a local.

Beyond our expectations!

What a great tour. We didn’t expect this to be as amazing as it was but the three hours flew by. Our guide was SO knowledgeable and we learned so many great facts about little spots we likely would not have visited otherwise. It was such a great way to travel the city and briefly visit the more typical spots (eg Luxembourg Gardens) as well! Definitely recommend!

Wonderful safe ride

Great experience. We visited a few lesser known spots and learned a ton of interesting things about Paris. Romeo was a knowledgeable guide and we had a safe, enjoyable ride!

Great way to see some different parts of Paris

Our guide Frank was so knowledgeable and took us to places that we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. It was an easy ride without too much traffic. There is so much to see and know about Paris and this bike ride was excellent. Loved it!

Loved the ride!

We totally enjoyed our bike ride across Paris. Our guy, Allison, was exceptional. Her knowledge of history was amazing and she very sweet to answer a lot of questions. It can be a little crazy and heavy traffic to ride bicycles here, but we enjoyed our adventure.

Great value for money. If we could predict the weather I would book this tour at the beginning of our trip not the end.

Our guide was fabulous, apologies as I’m not sure on his correct pronunciation or spelling. Clement I think? His knowledge was awesome & engaging. We had a wonderful Group of 7, so not too many which was great.

Nice pace with great views

This is a great way to see Paris side streets and back roads, along with many famous places. Pace is leisurely, but you cover a lot of ground.

Fabulous cycling tour in Paris!

Fred took us on a small group tour around the nooks and crannies of Paris. He sheltered us from the rain as often as possible in undercover areas and brought extra ponchos for anyone who didn’t have a raincoat. He told us lots of interesting stories about Paris and notable people who have lived there. All while providing lots of tips of great activities, museums and restaurants to visit in Paris. We had a great time and enjoyed the cycle route, so thank you!

A terrific way to see parts of the city you may not know are there and learn about their significance.

Meeting Romeo was easy, he was delightful and explained everything we needed to know about safety and cycling in Paris which was reassuring. We had a small, mixed group who were delightfully chatty and made cycling to discover the hidden gems of the city that much more interesting. The bikes were in good condition and aesthetically very pleasing in pastel shades of blue and green. The information imparted to us was always pertinent and fascinating - engaging and quirky. It is also really nice to be able to focus on the architecture and street life as you pedal through a city without having to worry about getting lost! There were a few major roads we had to cross, but cyclists have the right of way, so traffic was less intimidating than you might imagine and Romeo was very confident as he took charge - but mostly we cycled on back roads and through tiny alleys we wouldn't have found on our own. One of the highlights of our trip! Highly recommended.

A relaxed, fun and insightful perspective of Paris! Our guide Romeo was charming, engaging and full of wonderful, quirky facts about the City. It was the perfect length and we saw such a range of sites, which were all authentic and interesting. Romeo guided us safely and skilfully around the city and answered all our questions and gave thoughtful and genuine advice. Highly recommend this tour!

Family fun in Paris

Our tour guide, Matthew, was excellent. He was informative, personable and safe. We loved it and would highly recommend. We were a family with a 15 and 17 year old.

Great tour guide but dangerous at times

The tour guide was fantastic - very knowledgeable and lovely. But bicycling in Paris today is more dangerous than s few years ago. You often have to cut across car lanes and the bikes share a lane with the buses. If you’re an experienced cyclist and familiar with the Paris roads, it’s probably fine. But if you’re less experienced or traveling with children. I would skip it. Or try to go at a less busy time.
