Normandy was poignant and humbling especially because it was just after the 80th Anniversary of D day. Sacred ground . We must never forget ! I recommend this tour to anyone who visits France .

Gabriel The Great!

On June 8, 2024 we embarked on our journey to Normandy with Gabriel not realizing the 80th D-Day Anniversary Celebrations would still be drawing a massive attendance…traffic everywhere..but not for us! We had the brilliant Gabriel with us who maneuvered us through the back country roads to get us there with very little encumbrances. He made sure we were present at the sights and not sitting in traffic. An amazing day with a fabulous tour guide. I’m certain it was a day he will not soon forget himself..Thank you, Gabriel!!!

Exceptional Tour with Blue Fox Travel tour guide Antoine

This was an exceptional tour mainly because our tour guide Antoine was phenomenal from start to finish. Antoine shared such extensive knowledge and pictures about each place we went to making it very interesting. He was a pure professional yet very enjoyable to spend the day with. He is a valuable asset to Blue Fox Travel in Paris. If you want a tour that hits the main aspects of Normandy D-Day then this is the tour for you. Definitely request Antoine as your guide as you won’t regret it!

Wonderful day! We all learned so much!

This tour was the perfect day trip from Paris. Our guide, Sarah, was amazing! We ended up going the week of the anniversary of D- day (which was so cool with bonus content!) so there was a ton of traffic on those little roads by Omaha beach, cemetery, etc. Our guide ensured that we still got to see everything, including an unrushed stop for the cider tasting, even though we were 2 hours late getting back to Paris. My husband has been waiting years to see these sites. And the rest of us, myself and 3 teens, learned so much and were engaged the entire day. Merci beaucoup Sarah!!!! 😘

What a wonderful tour! If you’re looking to see and experience the sites of Normandy, but only have one day to do it- this is what you need! The small group of 8 was a wonderful more intimate experience. And a huge shout out to our guide, Bruno, who was knowledgeable, funny, and so great at respecting our wishes and time at each location. We would 100% do this tour again!

Poor planning on the part of the tour company

Unfortunately we only had the opportunity to visit Gold beach and the Overlord Museum. Due to the US president having ceremonies at Omaha Beach and the cemetery basically all was closed. I think that the tour company should have cancelled the trip last minute because they knew the were going to be ceremonies at the location. Our tour guide and driver tried really hard to get us to the places, but it was completely out of his hands. We did not stop for cider tasting either. We made the best of the situation and for being that close to Omaha beach and cemetery I am grateful.

Wonderful trip

Being able to walk on Omaha beach was the factor that set this tour apart from some of the others I had researched. Didn’t care much about the cider tasting when I booked this tour, but it was a super charming break between stops and was definitely a highlight.

Extraordinary trip to D Day site.

Blue Fox is very accommodating. My trip date changed, and they were very helpful to match my date. Bruno was extraordinary as a tour guide for the day trip to Normandy. First of all he is a very safe driver- over 6 hours round trip. Secondly, he is a very kind man and very knowledgeable about the events of D-Day. I highly recommend both this trip and Bruno as the guide!

All trip is memorable. The sites, the explanations, and also the traffic. The tour guide Gabriel did a very good job and a wonderful guide!

Great tour guide!

Enzo was a fantastic tour guide. Super friendly and knowledgeable. We had several curve balls throughout the day due to D-Day ceremonies and Enzo was able to still make the most of our day in Normandy!

Amazing Tour!

Our tour was absolutely amazing! Everything went exactly as planned and our tour guide Enzo was remarkable! His knowledge of the areas that we visited was extraordinary and he was able to convey his command of the history of these areas with ease.

Memorial Day weekend in Normandy

Nick was a fantastic guide through all the stops. Good explanations at each place, but also time to get around and explore on our own especially at the cemetery and Omaha Beach. The lunch at Restaurant L’Ephemere with a tasting at the on-premise Bernard Lebrec Cidre and Calvados made for a tasty way to fill time while our food was being prepared. The small group method for a tour around Normandy is the way to go….this experience was great.

Wonderful tour!

The trip to Normandy was a bucket item list to me. It was important that we had a knowledgeable guide and someone who understood how much this place meant to us. Antoine was very knowledgeable and did a great job. I would recommend Antoine as a guide to anyone.

Normandy Beach American sites Tour

We had the best day in Normandy. Our tour guide Will was not only very informative, he was so happy to please everyone on our small group tour. We got to see the amazing American sites and had such a great day!

Excellent tour with very comfortable transportation and a knowledgeable guide

Our tour with Antoine couldn't have been better. Four of us were in a full van seating eight people. The others were friendly and we had an enjoyable day with them. The two and a half hour drive there and back was very comfortable with sights pointed out along the way. Once in Normandy, Antoine gave us a running commentary of sights, history and the personal experiences of his grandparents who lived in Normandy during the war. The visits to the German bunkers, Overlord Museum, Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc and the American Cemetery were very important for us with my husband being a Navy veteran. Lunch at a local spot and a cider tasting at a local farmhouse were very nice. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to France. I would highly recommend Blue Fox Travel.

Excellent Tour!

I’ve been wanting to visit the D-Day beaches and American cemetery for many years. This tour did not disappoint. Our guide, Olivier, was extremely knowledgeable and shared a wealth of information about D-Day, the war, and the broader context at the time. It was a very moving experience, and I would recommend this tour without reservation.

Amazing tour if you have a whole day!

Antoine, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and kept the conversation going all day! The weather was pretty awful, but he came equipped with umbrellas and timed our indoor part of the tour at the museum to coincide with the worst of the weather. We had so many stops on this tour and we really enjoyed lunch at the local farm with the cider tasting - such a lovely experience! It is a pretty long day, so maybe come prepared with snacks (though we did stop at a gas station on the way and were able to get to-go coffee and breakfast since nothing was available at 6:45am anywhere near us when the tour began). Overall, a fabulous experience that my family and I will always remember.

Antoine was a great...

Antoine was a great guide. We enjoyed ourselves and did not feel rushed. I also shared with Antonie the meaning behind leaving coins on the headstones. He knew I was a veteran and asked security if I am place pennies on the headstones since no one was allosed on the grass. It meant a lot to me and it is something I will never forget. Great Normandy Tour!

Antoine was great! He was very friendly and knowledgeable about all things Normandy. We enjoyed seeing Ohama Beach and the Cemetery. Lunch and the cider tasting was fun and delicious. Definitely recommend this tour as a way to see Normandy!

Wonderful day at Normandy

Such a fantastic day! Our guide, Nick, was friendly, entertaining, and knowledgeable, which truly enhanced the entire experience. My 13-year-old son is deeply passionate about history, especially WWII, so I knew we had to go on this tour. We were part of a wonderful group that made the day so enjoyable. The sight of German bunkers, beaches, and more was fascinating. We had lunch at a charming castle, now home to a delightful restaurant and cider tasting. Every aspect of this tour was wonderful. I highly suggest it.

Wonderful trip out to Normandy with Sara leading the way with great insight, and pleasant personality. This is 12-hour trip, and Sara kept us interested and made sure all eight of us, were happy throughout our journey.

Enzo our guide was amazing & you could tell he felt passionately about Normandy. This tour is a long day but the day seemed to fly by and was over before we knew it.

Antoine was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. We enjoyed the day very much. Only downsides were the rain and that areas were blocked off for the upcoming anniversary celebration, neither of which he could control.

The Normandy tour was great. We really learned a lot and enjoyed the day. Julian our tour guy was extremely nice, knowledgeable and helpful. We would highly recommend this tour. The radio broadcasts that he played in the van made it feel like we were back in 1944.

Worth Every Penny.

Antoine our guide was fantastic. He was so personable, fun, knowledgeable and accommodating. The entire tour was smooth from start to finish with plenty of time for all activities. The tour of all the D Day sites was an amazing yet somber experience about a terrible day that led to the end of WWll. Worth every penny. Lunch was also delicious and memorable at the 13th century apple farm. I highly recommend Blue Fox Travel. C’est fantastique!

Lovely Day in Normandy

We absolutely enjoyed this day trip to Normandy! Our guide, Julien, was very knowledgeable and we visited several amazing sites in the area. Lunch was delicious and the cider tasting was most enjoyable. It was a long day, but we’ll worth it.

Something to see 1st hand

Awesome sight too see as an American, especially. Good information and not overwhelming. Phillipe did a nice job. His English needs a little bit more improvement.

MUST do this day trip!

What an amazing day! Antoine our guide was fabulous and so accommodating to all our individual needs. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly sly and made the day even better than planned! So if the small group was great because we made new friends and it made it feel more personal.

A Long but worthwhile day

The Viator Normandy tour started and returned at the times given. Our guide was personable and knowledgeable, with photos and graphs when we were at each site. One disappointment was that at the American cemetery we were not able to walk among the crosses, which seems to be in direct contrast to the picture on the Viator website. Our suggestions: for time's sake, discontinue the cider tasting stop, which came immediately after lunch and seemed to be unnecessary, included to appease local vendors, rather than an extension of the tour itself, or place this after a visit to an afternoon site. Lunch was fine, plenty of tasty food, but the location was hot and rather crowded. The tour operator may want to explore other lunch options. Also, it would have been nice to have the driver/guide point out various areas/attractions/info on things along the way; I assume he was quiet deliberately, giving the clients an opportunity to nap if desired. I would also suggest he wear a microphone while driving so that when he answers questions, the entire van can hear the answers; I have a feeling the back row could not hear the question or answer. Lastly, a meeting location in the morning might be re-examined, as the location is a small cafe that could only offer croissants and coffee, there were three groups meeting at the same time, and the local McDonald's does not open until long past departure time. Having a small group (7 in our case) is definitely a plus when at the sites, and the smaller van is able to access areas that the large tour buses cannot. I do recommend this tour.

Excellent day trip

The tour was great, and gave more personal meaning to the things I'd read about or seen in movies or documentaries. Our tour guide Will was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. Getting up early for the long drive was with it.

Worth the drive to see Normandy sights

This tour is worth the drive to the coast from Paris. Seeing the major monuments, key beach landing areas, and the cemetery were all significant and very moving. Our guide added appropriate insights throughout the journey. The addition of the cider tasting and lunch stop were excellent. We would highly recommend.
