I loved being in a small group. It made for a more intimate and memorable visit. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and answered all questions. Lunch was excellent.

Our tour guide, Oliver, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and kept us on tract as there is so much to experience. I really enjoyed the small group setting as the other participants were great as we all experienced this overwhelming part of world history. We all owe so much to those that gave the ultimate sacrifice.

A very nice journey into the past

This was a great trip to the Normandy beaches and American Cemetary. It was amazing to visit the Overlord museum and get to visit these fantastic historical locations. We only had 8 people on this small-group tour. We were a half hour late to leave since two people could not find the pickup spot and we still came back early. It would have been nice to have additional time at the museum and cemetery given the time we needed to spend in transit and price paid for the tour.

The tour of the Normandy Beaches was excellent. Our tour guide, Fabricio was very knowledgeable and a great communicator. Everything was perfect from the pickup in Paris, to the ride to Normandy, and the tour of the beaches and museums. You won’t go wrong booking this tour.

D-Day battlefields and Landing Beaches

Our driver, Fabrice, was delightful and informative. The Overlord museum was outstanding, At La Creamaillere, the osso bucolic de Veau was delicious.

Great Tour of D-Day sights

Our trip to Normandy was phenomenal. Our guide was Oliver and he was great! Very knowledgeable, he gave a great history lesson. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the area beyond D-day as well. I would definitely recommend this tour. If you are wondering whether the drive out there is worth it, it is! Also, going in the wintertime is great! It may be cold but there are no crowds!

Worth the investment

The driver "Enrique" was phenomenal. His professionalism and knowledge was above reproach. We were booked on a 8 passenger van but we ended up being the only guests. He afforded us the comfort of stopping when needed and had excellent recommendations for food for lunch.

Our guide Pascal was...

Our guide Pascal was excellent. He was knowledgeable about WW2 history, even at the individual parts of the battlefields we saw. He was extremely friendly. Honestly, the tour was one of the best things on our trip. I would not only recommend this tour, but recommend specifically booking with him again.

A special experience!

O took a tour with Pascal to Normandy. It was definitely a long day but well worth the effort. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided many details of which I was previously unaware regarding the D Day invasion. We visited the cliffside landing spot and Omaha beach. He walked me through all that transpired. Our last stop was the Amercian cemetery that is a must do for every Amercian visiting France -- emotionally on par with the (-11 memorial in NYC though much less crowded and peaceful. I also appreciated that we spent time informing me but also allowed ample time for me to explore on my own.

Very humbling experience

Fabrice was a fantastic driver and great guide. So glad we chose this tour. The beaches were as I expected. But the scars from all the bombing and the bunkers that are still there were truly moving as was the museum at the cemetery. We were lucky enough to be there for the laying of a wreath ceremony that was presented by two veterans. It made me even more proud to be an American.

The day was fantastic. Regis, our tour guide, was not only very knowledgeable, but his engagement with the subject matter was exceptional. The day was long but well worth the time. It was emotional at times, a trip I will never forget. I highly recommend the trip and hope you get Regis as your guide.

The cemetery was beautiful and solemn. The personal information about the people who gave their lives was touching. It was a touching tribute to all who served.

Unforgettable experience

Oliver was a stellar tour guide. He picked us up on time at our designated meeting point in Paris. He was personable, respectful of our time, organized, very knowledgeable on the area and the history and was easy to communicate with. Touring with a small group of 8 people (including our guide) was perfect. Standing on the beaches of Normandy, walking out into the water to turn around and view the landscape, walking through the American cemetery, and being reminded of the sacrifices made by so many provided for a very meaningful experience, one we will never forget.

Informative Tour of Normandy Invasion/D-Day

Comprehensive, informative tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable as well as personable. Although a 3 hour trip from Paris, we were driven in a comfortable, air-conditioned van with a rest stop both ways.

Amazing Normandy D day tour

It was an amazing day, a bucket list item. Our tour guide, Regis was excellent and he gave us so much information and historical perspectives. We visited Point de Hoc, Omaha beach, Museum Overlord and the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. There are no words to express the honor and emotion we experienced. Forever memorable.

Our guide, Fabrice, made the Normandy experience come to life. Seeing and hearing the account of what happened at Point du Hoc and Omaha Beach was very moving.

Worth the money!

Ricardo was an excellent guide. In addition to the history, he also knew how to plan our day to avoid the bigger crowds and tours, including a stop at a local sandwich shop for our lunches. Of our 14 days in Europe, our trip to Normandy was one of the best. We were a family of 5 and got lucky no one else was in our van, making it a very personal trip! I'm very glad we didn't try to rent a car and do this trip on our own. Wish we had another 45min at the cemetery for more time at the museum but otherwise an excellent trip!

Day learning about Normandy

I enjoyed our teacher/driver and how he explained so much about Normandy. The only thing I would suggest is to shorten time at the cemetery and spend more time at Omaha Beach.

Very Moving Experience

Wonderful day with Pascal as our tour guide. Punctual, early start on Champs Elysees (6:45am) and made our way to Pointe de Hoc. About a 3 hr drive. Very comfortable and spotless van for our group of five plus Pascal. It’s almost all highway till you get to the shore. A 15 min coffee and bathroom break at a rest area at about midpoint of our trip. Pascal spent most of the trip over to the shore detailing the events leading to the D day invasion, its different players, preparation and outcomes. He was great. So much detail. Like a history lesson before the tour. Made the trip over go by much more quickly. His English was perfect. After visiting Pointe de Hoc we went to Omaha Beach. Had a very nice lunch ( not included for the is trip ). Then onto the American Cemetery. So moving. What sacrifices. Then onto the Overlord museum and then back to Paris. Traffic was light as it was a holiday and we were back on the Champs Elysees by 7pm. Great trip as advertised. We were very fortunate to have Pascal as our guide.

Fantastic, moving experience.

We had wanted to visit Normandy for years but couldn't get it in. This was a must-do for us and it did not disappoint. Our tour guide Regis was amazingly knowledgeable and shared so many anecdotes, facts, information, photos and history. He made the whole experience so informative and relative.

Educational tour by a Knowledgeable Guide

The tour guide, Pascal, was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The tour was very educational. The only drawback was 8 passengers in a VW van made for very tight quarters and was very warm.

Very worthwhile Normandy tour with excellent guide!

This was a very worthwhile excursion! Comfy van ride up and the journey was very well-paced and comprehensive. Pointe-du-Hoc, Overlord Museum, Omaha Beach and the U.S. cemetery - had plenty of time at each. Also, our guide Fabrice was EXCELLENT! Super informative, friendly and helpful, not overbearing. We would certainly do a different tour with him again. Just be aware - approximately 3hr ride each way to and from Paris, so be prepared for a long day with an early start. There was a restroom/snack break in each direction.

The Cemetary

I think the American Cemetary at Omaha Beach was the most impressive part of the tour. Although the entire tour was memorable.

Could have been better

Seeing the D Day locations was very moving. Our guide was pleasant enough but didn't do anything extra. He didn't provide much history or explanation.

Amazing Tour - Amazing Guide!

Our day trip to the Normandy Beaches and D-Day Military Cemetery (from Paris) was amazing. Regis was our tour guide and we could not have been happier. He was passionate about the history of D-Day, very knowledgeable and very friendly. Visiting the D-Day beaches was a bucket list item for me and I was so impressed I may go back with some friends... and I hope I can have Regis be our guide again! Glenn from Boston

A Memorable Experience

Our guide was an amazing historian and really made DDay real for us. The highlight of the day was finding my cousin’s gravesite at the Omaha Beach Cemetery. This all day trip exceeded my expectations for the day.

A long overdue, and awaited trip to Normandy

The most memorable part of our tour was obviously seeing Normandy for the first time, after reading numerous books on world war 2. Our guide pasqual was an excellent guide and host. A perfect gentleman

Great destination, but the guide matters

We really wanted to see Normandy while we were in Paris, and Viator made it easy. The pick up and other instructions were very clear. And the destination was definitely something to be experienced. That said, I think the value of the experience lives or dies on the quality of your guide. While our guide was knowledgeable, he was not interactive. He preferred to give us small lectures, at his convenience. He didn’t accompany us to all the parts of each stop. He would give us a little information, and then send us out on our own to see it. As far as we could tell, every other group we saw out there had their guide with them at all times. We would’ve liked to have him explain things as we walked through, and been available to ask questions of. We felt like it was a lot of money to pay for what we received. We paid for a small group tour so we’d have a more interactive experience, but were disappointed to not receive that.

A true bucket list day

The trip was everything that I hoped it would be (based upon prior reviews) and more. Regis our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and knew exactly how to pace the lengthy day trip. Hard to choose a highlight - every stop was impactful, sobering and enlightening.
