The Montmontre Tour - Skip the Rest!

This street art walking tour of Montmartre with Mr Byste was phenomenal. A working artist, he takes you through the smaller and less touristed streets of Monmartre where there is a vast treasure of street art, filled with meaning, history, reference, and reflection. Mr Byste - his street art name - has an incredible understanding of street art, not only from an appreciation aspect, but from a working artist's point of view, and his unique perspective working within the squats of Paris and throughout the street art world. It really isn't possible to understand contemporary Paris without understanding its street art, and its many contributions to the city. This tour is a great way to add to that understanding. Interestingly, I took this same tour years ago pre-pandemic with the company's founder, Kasia Klon (she is amazing), and Mr. Byste's tour was equally terrific -- not only with new art, but with a different perspective and focus, and a different route through the Montmartre streets. Mr. Byste is also very engaging and super helpful and friendly. This tour for me is an essential Paris experience and you should not miss it whether it's your first time in Paris or 20th!

Great hands on experience

A really fun tour with an insiders view of street art in Montmatre . It was great to actually join in by making some street art with our artist guide. My 10 year old had a blast.

Family trip to Paris.

The street art tour with Marie was wonderful. She is knowledgeable about art in general but extremely knowledgeable about street art and its graffiti roots. Montmartre is an interesting neighborhood with a rich art history. It’s a great location for the tour. I would recommend this tour.

Great tour guide, and Unforgettable experience

Absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend. The artist was friendly and professional and extremely knowledgeable about the street art scene in Paris. Montmartre is a great neighborhood to see some of the most incredible street art in the world. I highly recommend wearing good walking shoes and being prepared to do a lot of walking up and down this hilly neighborhood. You won't regret it!

Great way to spend a couple of hours in Paris

Only 3 of us on the walk with 1 other, perhaps because it was raining , so it felt very much like a private tour. We were 15 minutes late and were very grateful to be collected at the pickup point (an exception, we were told). The guide was very well informed and quickly developed a very natural, informal relationship with us all. Nicely paced and full of interesting points. Very well worth it, it made the city a bit more real to us.

Sixth Form Paris Arts trip from the UK

We just returned from an amazing sixth form college arts trip to Paris and the street art tour was one of the highlights of our trip. We were not going to let the rain dampen our spirits and neither was Marie our guide. Marie, was fantastic. She was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and wonderful with our students. She is also a very talented artist herself. We left inspired and informed and were able to spot and identify so many more works of street art throughout our trip. The street art was really incredible and fascinating. Marie did an amazing job of giving us information about the history of the art and making it fun along the way.

Fantastic tour!

Really cool tour. Our teenagers loved it and so did we. Led by a street artist who knew all of the artists and the history behind what we saw. Great walk thru the neighborhood. If you like street art you will love this tour - it’s a must do.

Great in-depth tour of street art, with a knowledgeable local artist.

Thom Thom was a great guide. He took us on a tour of a variety of different street art in Montmartre. He shared his in-depth knowledge of the individual artists, techniques, styles, politics, and talked about the (sometimes ambivalent) attitudes of the police and local residents to the art. Highly recommended.

Insightful and engaging tour

Fantastic experience. Marie led the tour in a really engaging and interactive way, making us all think by asking questions and setting mini-challenges. She worked hard to cover different people's interests and shared many insights from her perspective as a street artist. Highly recommended.

Fun afternoon in Montmartre with an artist!

Had a lovely time with the guide, Marie, who shared a lot of insights about the Parisian street art scene. She customised the tour to our interests and it was super nice to know the stories behind the art that you usually just pass by and not think about again. I try to do a street art tour in cities I visit as it gives a new outlook beyond the usual tours.

An amazing tour with a Parisian street artist

We took the tour with Mr Byste and it was an amazing experience. Mr Byste is such a talented, thoughtful and interesting guide. Wow!! He took us into the life of an active street artist in Paris. Sharing his experiences from being an active and respectful artist in the street art scene. His stories, his technical explanations and mostly all the behind the scenes stories about the different street artists in Paris were fascinating. What a remarkable and special experience. The best Bit of Paris.

My last day in Paris was wonderful because I had Byste was exceptional and so knowledgeable. It was fun and fantastic walking the streets with him.

Tour cancelled day prior

Frustrating to plan schedule to have it cancelled. Suggest offer less tours with more certainty. At least on trip advisor app you can send and receive messages which is easier than e mail

Hidden street art gems

Marie was a very knowledgeable guide. With her help we explored the quiet side streets of the Montmatre, away from the crowded touristy places. There we discovered hidden street art gems of Paris. I can highly recommend this tour.

Great elaborate guided tour

Marie, the guide, were very great at interacting with the whole group. In addition to walking us from piece to piece, she also explained a lot of the culture of street art and graffiti art.

What a fantastic morning spent wandering around MontMartre. Great guide who knew many of the artists personally. Really enjoyed his pointing out art we otherwise would have missed and providing background on artists and the street art movement in general.

Not Happy

We had a disappointing experience due to the guided not showing. We were not informed so that added to our frustration. Another tour guide showed us how to get in touch with our guide. After messaging them they said a notice was sent out that the tour was canceled They asked if we wanted to go on another tour that afternoon in a different area. We informed them that had inconvenienced us enough, we had other plans and would like a full refund. They need to do a better job reaching out and informing customers when tours are canceled.

Amazing tour of streets artwork!

Marie was amazing to give us the tour to introduce the street artwork! We learned a great deal and enjoyed to learn about different techniques used by artists. It was enjoyable, entertaining and educational. We did this as a family. The walk was easy and fun! Highly recommend her tour.

One of the highlights of our trip!

We booked the Street Art tour for a school trip with secondary school students. There was a mixture between French and Art students. They all loved it! Even the ones who don't study Art were really engaged with the street art and the artist. It was a great way to go up to the Sacré Coeur! Merci énormément!

Enjoyable and informative tour

Kasia is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide and an excellent communicator. She helped us see so much more detail than we would have done walking around by ourselves. A morning very well spent on our very short trip to Paris.

Don’t even try to get a hold of your tour guide

We were running late from the airport, tried calling our tour guide to give a heads up. No luck. Tried texting through the app. No reply. Thought maybe it was a language issue, so had the concierge at out hotel call the tour guide. No answer. Went to the meeting spot, albeit a little late. No one there. Save yourself $76 and just do your own thing. Don’t even bother trying to reach anyone…
